From the first day I started my first podcast, The Walking Dead 'Cast, I wanted to do a few things:

 Quality Podcasts 
Basically, I want my podcasts to be fucking awesome. When I started, I decided if I was going to do a podcast I was going to give it my all, throw myself into it, and make it really special.So I put a lot of care into sound quality, music, segment intros, and podcast art. And ever since, I routinely spend a lot of time doing things like:

<li>Giving thorough, insightful, opinionated analysis</li>
<li>Researching behind-the-scenes info</li>
<li>Bringing in talented, fun, expressive cohosts like Lucy, Rima, Richard, Chris, Ben, and many others</li>
<li>Collecting and responding to feedback from you guys</li>
<li>Reporting on interesting news</li>
<li>Interviewing actors and other creatives involved in making the shows we love</li>
<li>Meticulously editing each podcast episode to keep them tight and on-point</li>
<li>Carefully choosing the material I cover so it’s something I’m genuinely into and can bring my all to it (and I also cover FTWD)</li>
</ul>

My Current Podcasts Are: 
<ul>
<li>The Walking Dead ‘Cast, where my brilliant and funny cohost Lucy and I cover everything TWD (including the spinoffs), zombies, horror, and whatever else we think you’ll find fun or interesting.</li>
<li>House Podcastica, where my friends and I cover other shows we’re interested in, like The Mandalorian, Cobra Kai, Westworld, and others to come.</li>
<li>At times I’ve appeared as a cohost on other podcasts, like Strange Indeed, where I helped Rima cover Locke &amp; Key and later The Great British Bake Off.</li>
</ul>Fun Probably more important than all that, for me podcasting is incredibly fun, even after 10+ years of doing it. With all the preparation and groundwork I do, there's almost nothing I love more than kicking back with a beer, loosening up, and just seeing where things flow. I get such a charge out of it! The thrill of the unexpected :) And I figure if I’m having fun, then you guys are probably having fun too. 

 Community Finally, something that has become more and more important to me over time: Community. I’ve always loved connecting with you guys through your calls and messages, and until this year anyway, getting to meet a lot of you at events. It was that impulse that led me to create the Zedheads Unite Facebook page as a perk when I started this whole Patreon thing a few years ago. And honestly, I’ve been floored at how that has gone. Deep friendships have developed there. We all lend each other support when we need it. We regularly hang out on Zoom and chat and play games. We welcome new members with curiosity and open arms. I never dreamed the FB group would become as cool as it has. It’s really a tight-knit, supportive community with good vibes all around, and it might just be the biggest of many gifts this whole thing has brought me. And by the way, don't let all that scare you. If you decide to check out the group, you can lurk for as long as you want :) 

 Why Pledge? 
It took until I was 39 years old, when I started WDC, for me to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Before that, every job was mostly just a means to an end. But I finally found my thing. A few years ago I quit my day job and have been podcasting full time ever since.
