[00:00:00] Hmm?

[00:00:01] Ah!

[00:00:03] Oh.

[00:00:04] Oh.

[00:00:09] Hey man, one per customer.

[00:00:11] Excuse me?

[00:00:12] He took the last two steaks.

[00:00:14] One is for a friend.

[00:00:15] But even if it weren't, I'm entitled to enjoy as many pieces as I like.

[00:00:19] Yeah?

[00:00:20] Well maybe I'm entitled to stop you.

[00:00:21] Hey, hey, hey, hey.

[00:00:22] Sorry about that.

[00:00:24] Excuse me one minute.

[00:00:27] What happened to literally everything we talked about?

[00:00:30] That guy's probably a sponsor.

[00:00:31] Guy's a steak stealer.

[00:00:32] So let him steal the steak.

[00:00:34] This is our moment, Johnny.

[00:00:35] Let's not blow it over nothing.

[00:00:53] Hey everybody, welcome to the podcast.

[00:00:55] I'm Jason.

[00:00:56] And I'm Richard.

[00:00:57] And I'm Rima.

[00:00:58] And this is the return of Cobra Kai Cast.

[00:01:01] Woo!

[00:01:02] This week we're covering Cobra Kai Season 6 episode Benvinguts a Barcelona.

[00:01:09] Pardon my pronunciation.

[00:01:11] That's better than I could have done.

[00:01:13] That's pretty close.

[00:01:13] I went online and got a pronunciation.

[00:01:16] It's, they said Benvinguts like that.

[00:01:20] Benvinguts.

[00:01:20] Oh yeah.

[00:01:22] Yeah.

[00:01:22] Putting the accent on the right part, huh?

[00:01:24] And I guess that's Catalan, which is there, there's this interesting like areas of Spain

[00:01:30] are a part of this.

[00:01:31] Uh, it's called an autonomous community called Catalonia, including Barcelona.

[00:01:35] So it's like, it's different than Spanish.

[00:01:39] Oh.

[00:01:41] I did not know.

[00:01:42] I thought it was a straight up Spanish.

[00:01:44] So Cobra Kai Season 6 episode 6 Benvinguts a Barcelona.

[00:01:48] What did you guys think?

[00:01:49] Rima, what did you think of this one?

[00:01:51] I thought it was a pretty good return after the break.

[00:01:55] It's really odd, you know, with Cobra Kai having the, the breaks in between.

[00:02:00] Um, but I think it was, at first I was like, oh, it's a little slow.

[00:02:05] But then I was like, no, I can appreciate it because of the break that we had.

[00:02:10] Um, you know, we, we kind of get to settle in and get back to where, uh, we left off and

[00:02:15] get back to the issues with people in their relationships and kind of get us back up to

[00:02:20] speed and kind of took our time to, you know, kind of settle in with where we left the

[00:02:24] characters in the last.

[00:02:25] So then I appreciated it more and realized that we kind of probably needed just a little

[00:02:29] bit of a, okay, let's kind of regroup to where we were.

[00:02:32] So I think overall it was pretty good.

[00:02:35] Yeah.

[00:02:35] That was both the, uh, like the good and the bad for me in this episode.

[00:02:41] Cause I felt like the drama was getting a little tedious, but again, uh, upon second

[00:02:46] watch, I was like, oh yeah.

[00:02:48] Oh yeah.

[00:02:48] Oh yeah.

[00:02:48] Oh, I don't like that.

[00:02:49] Oh, I like that though.

[00:02:50] I don't like that.

[00:02:51] You know?

[00:02:52] So that's another thing where you have to watch it like twice.

[00:02:54] Yeah.

[00:02:55] I felt the same way.

[00:02:56] Like I was like, eh, this is okay.

[00:02:59] And then on the second watch, I'm like, no, that's pretty good.

[00:03:01] I'm laughing.

[00:03:02] I'm feeling anxious for our heroes, you know?

[00:03:05] It was good.

[00:03:06] And yeah, you're right.

[00:03:07] I think you're right.

[00:03:08] Rima that like, if this had just been number six right in a row and we binged through,

[00:03:14] it would be like, why are they spending so much time on this stuff?

[00:03:17] But since they're kind of acclimating us back into it, it worked pretty well.

[00:03:20] And I think, I think we were starting to get a little disappointed with some of the episodes

[00:03:27] at the end of the first five.

[00:03:29] And I'm pretty sure I didn't go back and rewatch them for this, but I'm pretty sure this is a

[00:03:34] little bit higher level than what we were getting before.

[00:03:37] Maybe, I don't know, at least the same, but I think maybe a little higher because I enjoyed

[00:03:41] it.

[00:03:42] Yeah.

[00:03:42] I thought about that too.

[00:03:43] Like, I think, I think we were in that little tiny Cobra Kai bubble where, you know, or they're

[00:03:48] competing with each other to see who is going to be team captains.

[00:03:51] And there's all this like coming up with the reasons why they need to have conflict with

[00:03:54] each other that feel kind of dumb.

[00:03:56] But now, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:03:58] And now they did a pretty good job at showing you that's not going to amount to shit now on

[00:04:02] the world stage.

[00:04:05] They got bigger problems.

[00:04:06] They just kind of, I'm getting into a point here, but I think it's a quick one.

[00:04:12] They just kind of hand waved away the whole thing with Kreese.

[00:04:14] Oh yeah.

[00:04:14] They let him off.

[00:04:17] Right?

[00:04:17] Yeah.

[00:04:17] I was wondering about that.

[00:04:18] After the whole thing of a whole season of his whole escape from prison story.

[00:04:21] And then, yeah, they just forgave that.

[00:04:23] Yeah.

[00:04:24] Paul's forgiven.

[00:04:25] I mean, he was framed.

[00:04:26] Or is he lying?

[00:04:27] Because he could be lying.

[00:04:28] Yeah.

[00:04:28] He could be lying.

[00:04:29] That's, that's a good point.

[00:04:30] But I mean, remember when he talked to Tori and we're like in that parking garage and

[00:04:35] we're like, how did he get to the U S just in and out?

[00:04:37] And then the show owners were like, oh, well he has like connections from when he was in

[00:04:41] the military.

[00:04:42] And I'm like, yeah, they were just bullshitting because they didn't want to spoil that.

[00:04:44] They were about to hand wave all that away.

[00:04:47] Yeah.

[00:04:48] None of that matters.

[00:04:50] Anyway, let's get into our points.

[00:04:52] Rima, what do you got?

[00:04:55] Well, I was kind of talking about pacing when you asked me about the episode.

[00:04:59] So that's kind of what I'm just going to talk about here.

[00:05:01] I'm really kind of glad that they did take this just a little bit slow.

[00:05:06] I, I liked that.

[00:05:07] We got a little bit of action, kind of get a little tease of what this tournament is like

[00:05:13] being on this world stage.

[00:05:15] Um, and it kind of made me appreciate it because I, I believe when we had the all Valley

[00:05:18] tournament in season four, it was only two, two whole episodes.

[00:05:22] And I'm wondering if this tournament could take all of five, this, this chunk second half

[00:05:29] that we're going to get.

[00:05:31] And I'm okay with that.

[00:05:33] Um, if we get this whole event across these multiple episodes and I'm really in, you know,

[00:05:40] intrigued.

[00:05:40] There were a lot of those flags up on the wall hanging up there.

[00:05:44] We saw a lot of dojos being represented there and we got a new cool badass dojo that I'm

[00:05:49] really interested in.

[00:05:50] So I, I really hope that we do get to take the time and get to know some of these other

[00:05:54] competitors and kind of spread our world a little bit.

[00:05:56] Um, you know, outside of just Miyagi-Do, uh, and Cobra Kai, it's kind of interesting to

[00:06:01] get some new characters, uh, in there and who knows, maybe make some friends or maybe

[00:06:04] make some enemies kind of like, uh, uh, that, that one dude was talking about.

[00:06:09] And I like that.

[00:06:10] It doesn't feel like it's just another Miyagi-Do Cobra Kai beef.

[00:06:14] You know, it's like, it's like what you guys were saying.

[00:06:17] It's like, does that stuff even matter anymore?

[00:06:21] We've got a whole new group of people that are waiting to kick your ass.

[00:06:25] And I feel like there's maybe bigger problems.

[00:06:28] Exciting new world of enemies everywhere.

[00:06:31] Yeah, for sure.

[00:06:33] I mean, some of these guys are like, they really mean business.

[00:06:35] Like they're not messing around.

[00:06:37] And, uh, so I, I really find that interesting.

[00:06:40] So I really do hope they kind of, you know, I don't want it too slow, but I really do hope

[00:06:45] we kind of take some time and get to know some of them, um, a little bit.

[00:06:48] And we got to see some of Spain, which that was fun, you know, kind of being in a new location.

[00:06:53] I don't know how much they filmed here.

[00:06:54] I didn't, I'm, I'm too scared to go look up anything.

[00:06:57] Chat GPT says they filmed some there, but mostly in Atlanta.

[00:07:03] So I would guess if chat GPT is full of shit sometimes, but if that's true, maybe they

[00:07:08] did a few exterior shots with just some of the main characters.

[00:07:11] They didn't bring the whole, you know, like the efficient guy or all those guys over, but

[00:07:15] just a couple of outside shots.

[00:07:18] I don't know.

[00:07:18] Yeah.

[00:07:18] Yeah.

[00:07:19] That makes sense.

[00:07:20] Yeah.

[00:07:20] I, I assume they're maybe not in the budget to really have them all there, but getting

[00:07:25] to at least see some of those outside shots and at least giving you that feel of it was,

[00:07:28] was really cool.

[00:07:29] Kind of being in a new setting, you know, we're outside of like LA and some of the other

[00:07:33] places that, uh, that we're in.

[00:07:34] So I like it.

[00:07:36] I like that.

[00:07:36] They're kind of slowing it down a little bit and letting us, uh, revisit some of the

[00:07:40] drama where we left off with some, you know, uh, Daniel and Johnny and their beef

[00:07:46] and, you know, kind of catching up with Tori and, you know, her decision.

[00:07:49] Um, I don't know.

[00:07:50] We'll get into that, but, but I like that.

[00:07:52] We're kind of, cause we're kind of getting, um, you know, getting into some of those payoffs

[00:07:56] of, of those stories.

[00:07:58] So yeah, I'm happy, happy so far.

[00:08:01] I think we're, I think as a viewer, we are more excited about being in Barcelona and the

[00:08:06] tournament than the characters were because they're just running around all this drama

[00:08:11] and they look seriously stressed out.

[00:08:13] All of them.

[00:08:14] Bickering.

[00:08:14] Yeah.

[00:08:14] No one's enjoying it.

[00:08:16] It's like, it feels like they're not enjoying this.

[00:08:18] Dude, you're at the world tournament assholes and at least feel some pride or something.

[00:08:24] Get over yourself.

[00:08:26] Geez.

[00:08:27] Um, as far as, I mean, I always presumed that it, the tournament, they made such a big deal

[00:08:35] out of it that it would go at least these five episodes if not into the final five.

[00:08:40] Um, but I don't really want it to go all 10 and have the final thing be like the 10th

[00:08:45] episode.

[00:08:45] I hope not.

[00:08:46] I want to see some epilogue.

[00:08:47] I'm sure we will see at least a little bit, but I would, I wouldn't mind if we did finish

[00:08:52] after these five or maybe there's like a cliffhanger and then the first, I bet you that's what will

[00:08:57] happen the first episode back.

[00:08:59] Then we'll get the resolution to the tournament and then do four more.

[00:09:02] But I think probably everyone listening to me knows the answer to that.

[00:09:06] And we're the only three who don't know.

[00:09:07] Right.

[00:09:08] Right.

[00:09:09] We're the last ones.

[00:09:10] Cause yeah, it's the world of Netflix.

[00:09:12] Don't tell us.

[00:09:15] Yeah.

[00:09:16] Richard.

[00:09:17] I, I found, uh, I don't know.

[00:09:20] I want to talk about the drama cause it's on my mind right now.

[00:09:23] I, I, I found the internal bickering a little bit tedious upon first place.

[00:09:27] Second watch.

[00:09:27] It was like, okay, I'm gonna pick this apart.

[00:09:29] I like this.

[00:09:30] I don't like this.

[00:09:30] I, I am interested of all the things that's going on.

[00:09:34] I am interested with the drama, uh, between Tori and Robbie, mostly for Robbie.

[00:09:39] I mean, because his choice for captain was kind of already in question.

[00:09:44] You know, it's always, it's already got like Miguel, it's got some of the others

[00:09:47] kind of like questioning how, you know, is he going to make a good leader?

[00:09:50] And now that he's distracted and making bad decisions, like losing his hotel room

[00:09:57] on a bet with Kwan.

[00:09:58] Right.

[00:09:58] I'm interested to see where this leads.

[00:10:01] I mean, Robbie, he's come so far.

[00:10:02] You know, Hawk pushed him into that.

[00:10:04] Yeah.

[00:10:04] And then Hawk's like giving him shit later.

[00:10:06] Oh, he lost it.

[00:10:07] He did.

[00:10:08] You're right though.

[00:10:09] Robbie should know better.

[00:10:09] Yeah.

[00:10:10] Yeah.

[00:10:12] We've come so far with Robbie, you know, and he's, he was in a good place.

[00:10:15] And now it'd just be a shame to see him in the end, not be able to say that he did his

[00:10:22] best.

[00:10:22] You know what I mean?

[00:10:23] It's like, that's the kind of shit you regret as you get older.

[00:10:25] It's like, you know, I was there.

[00:10:26] I could have just folk just more.

[00:10:28] I could have been at my best.

[00:10:30] So that's keeping me invested with all the kids.

[00:10:33] Good job.

[00:10:34] He's so much better of a character now than he was when this first started.

[00:10:38] Yeah.

[00:10:38] I mean, he was always a good character, but he was a character that when he was on screen,

[00:10:42] I felt like, ah, I don't like this kid.

[00:10:45] And now I'm like totally pulling for him.

[00:10:47] Like you're saying.

[00:10:48] Yeah.

[00:10:48] When things are going well, it's like, oh, he's doing great.

[00:10:51] He's awesome.

[00:10:52] But then on the adult side, I wish, I wish Johnny and Daniel would get along.

[00:10:57] I mean, it's so much better.

[00:10:59] This is so much fun, more fun when they do.

[00:11:01] Like, uh, when Daniel says, uh, outside the hotel that we're in this thing together and

[00:11:07] Johnny goes, no, we're here next to each other, not together.

[00:11:10] I was like, Ooh, I didn't like that.

[00:11:14] I didn't like the sound of that.

[00:11:16] That was a stinger.

[00:11:16] You know what I really liked is when, um, Daniel keeps telling Johnny, basically don't

[00:11:23] punch anyone and fuck this up.

[00:11:25] Okay.

[00:11:25] We could get sponsorships for our kids.

[00:11:27] So just chill.

[00:11:28] And then, um, when Johnny's upset that the dude took the last two pieces of steak, you

[00:11:35] know, and, um, Daniel's like, oh, wait, come here.

[00:11:38] Don't just come here for a second.

[00:11:40] Sorry about that.

[00:11:41] And pulls him aside.

[00:11:42] And, um, he's like, you know, Hey, that guy could be a sponsor.

[00:11:47] And he goes, well, he's a steak stealer.

[00:11:51] It's okay.

[00:11:52] Let him have the steak.

[00:11:53] Okay.

[00:11:53] Don't, don't blow this over something inconsequential.

[00:11:57] And Johnny goes, all right.

[00:11:58] All right.

[00:11:58] And I just love that little moment because even though Johnny's really pissed at Daniel

[00:12:02] right now and probably has some decent reason to given that Daniel punched him in the face

[00:12:07] at the end of the first five, if you remember, uh, Johnny still has respect for Daniel.

[00:12:13] And I love that this show does that where it could just be like, ah, they hate each other

[00:12:17] now, but no, it's complicated, you know?

[00:12:20] And Johnny, Johnny was like, okay, you're, you got a good point there, which I just kind

[00:12:23] of, it makes it feel like they're brothers, you know, they're having a bad period right

[00:12:26] now, but yeah.

[00:12:27] Yeah.

[00:12:28] Yeah.

[00:12:28] They're still way better off.

[00:12:30] Yeah.

[00:12:30] That, that part of it is what's keeping me invested in the adult drama.

[00:12:33] So there's little pieces with the kids and the adults that I'm into right now.

[00:12:38] So I hope, I hope it continues to keep my attention.

[00:12:41] I don't want to get to the point where I'm just like, all right, that's enough.

[00:12:44] Jesus Christ.

[00:12:45] Fight.

[00:12:45] Yeah.

[00:12:46] I mean, we got, uh, what?

[00:12:48] Nine more episodes.

[00:12:49] So we've been doing this for a few years now.

[00:12:52] I feel like we'll be all right.

[00:12:55] Yeah.

[00:12:56] I totally forgot.

[00:12:57] There's another five after this.

[00:12:58] Yeah.

[00:12:59] I was like thinking this was going to be it, you know, they're going to go to the tournament.

[00:13:01] It's going to be a huge deal.

[00:13:04] And then that's it.

[00:13:05] Nope.

[00:13:05] Got five more.

[00:13:06] That's exciting.

[00:13:07] Sometime in 2025, but still don't know when exactly.

[00:13:11] I would, I think they said they pushed off the Karate Kid movie that's coming up with,

[00:13:17] um, Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio so that they could finish up Cobra Kai first.

[00:13:22] That comes out May 30, some 31st.

[00:13:25] So I think it'll be before that.

[00:13:27] Like spring maybe.

[00:13:28] Yeah.

[00:13:29] Cool.

[00:13:29] All right.

[00:13:30] My first point is called kicking competition.

[00:13:34] Oh, the kicking competition, which, uh, the thing about, you know, who could kick higher

[00:13:39] with Robby and Kwan, which kind of reminded me of Karate Kid too.

[00:13:43] When Daniel is in this like bar or something when they went to, um, Okinawa and they saw

[00:13:50] people trying to chop through blocks of ice and, um, Miyagi like pushed him in to do it and

[00:13:56] placed a bet on him.

[00:13:59] Cause just like this challenge that presents itself in the everyday world that there are,

[00:14:03] our heroes come upon.

[00:14:04] I said this time, uh, Daniel successfully chopped the ice, but this time the good guy lost.

[00:14:10] And I was sort of thinking, why, why is that different?

[00:14:13] And this is more of like a storytelling examination than anything.

[00:14:17] But I think the reason why is because in Karate Kid too, they went to Okinawa and, uh, chosen

[00:14:25] was a huge bully, but there was no tournament.

[00:14:29] There was no fight that was on the calendar that they were headed to.

[00:14:33] Instead, there was a rising tension between Daniel and this guy, and it wasn't a foregone

[00:14:38] conclusion that they would fight.

[00:14:40] So you needed the escalating tension between them that would then culminate boil over into

[00:14:45] a fight.

[00:14:45] So the ice breaking where Daniel beat him made things more tense between them and made chosen

[00:14:50] want to, you know, harass him and stuff.

[00:14:54] So that added to the tension here.

[00:14:56] I wonder if, um, Robbie would have won that would have taken away the tension, but now

[00:15:02] there is a tournament and we know these characters are probably going to fight.

[00:15:05] So the show wants to make the heroes feel like they're in danger.

[00:15:09] They're underdogs, you know, make us anxious that they're going to lose.

[00:15:13] So at this point in the story, they need to suffer losses and make us be afraid.

[00:15:17] Oh crap.

[00:15:18] Oh no.

[00:15:19] You know?

[00:15:19] Yeah.

[00:15:20] They did that throughout this episode.

[00:15:22] In fact, by the end of the episode, you're like going, Oh shit, this was hopeless.

[00:15:26] They should just go home.

[00:15:29] Yeah.

[00:15:30] But next episode, they're like, uh, Daniel, can we just go home?

[00:15:34] Yeah.

[00:15:35] We give up.

[00:15:36] We're done coach.

[00:15:37] Um, in that kicking competition, I liked Kwan is great.

[00:15:42] I think he's the perfect guy to represent the old Cobra Kai from the Karate Kid movie.

[00:15:48] He's badass.

[00:15:49] He's a total asshole.

[00:15:51] He's cocky and he needles you, you know, it's like Dutch used to do or all the Cobra

[00:15:56] Kai back in the day.

[00:15:59] And, and he's good too.

[00:16:00] Yeah.

[00:16:00] Did you see how high he kicked?

[00:16:02] Yeah.

[00:16:03] He's like super talented.

[00:16:04] He's very talented.

[00:16:05] I don't know if he can really do that, but they had a long shot and they showed him

[00:16:08] and where he had kicked is was behind him.

[00:16:11] It was like a foot taller than he is tall.

[00:16:13] Yeah.

[00:16:13] Wow.

[00:16:13] Wow.

[00:16:14] Can you really do that?

[00:16:15] I mean, obviously they didn't actually do the spinning kicks and make those marks exactly

[00:16:21] where they ended up, but they did enough.

[00:16:23] They they're talented enough that they could make it seem like they did.

[00:16:27] Right.

[00:16:27] They've got some talent in both of those kids, but I probably this kid's more talented than

[00:16:31] anyone else who knows.

[00:16:33] But I liked the way that he egged Hawk and the Miyagi-Do kids on.

[00:16:37] He's all team USA.

[00:16:38] Everyone knows America best at everything.

[00:16:41] Let's see.

[00:16:42] Let's see.

[00:16:42] That was the perfect taunt because it's a room full of non-Americans from other dojos

[00:16:49] and they all start laughing and mockingly chanting USA.

[00:16:53] Like, all right, USA, let's see how strong you guys really are putting the pressure on.

[00:16:58] And then I loved when Robbie kicked higher than almost than anyone else.

[00:17:02] And then Quan, he looked a little bit thrown off by that at first, but then he just smiled

[00:17:06] like I'm about to beat you.

[00:17:08] You loser.

[00:17:08] He did.

[00:17:10] Yeah.

[00:17:11] It's like, hold my beer.

[00:17:12] I got this.

[00:17:12] Like, that's all you can do?

[00:17:13] Hold my beer.

[00:17:14] Oh, come on.

[00:17:16] Yeah.

[00:17:17] Yeah.

[00:17:17] The American team is kind of a train wreck, huh?

[00:17:20] They are.

[00:17:20] Pretty funny though.

[00:17:21] They are unfocused.

[00:17:21] None of the other teams from the other countries really seem to be that surprised either.

[00:17:25] Like, oh yeah, America.

[00:17:27] They think they're so great.

[00:17:28] Drama.

[00:17:28] Yeah, drama.

[00:17:29] Drama.

[00:17:38] You know, Daniel figures out how to get focused.

[00:17:40] And now it's like that except with a whole team of people.

[00:17:43] And you can tell they're very unfocused.

[00:17:45] I really love that whole montage of them not sleeping well and trying to pull the covers

[00:17:50] off.

[00:17:51] And you see Quan with pillows all around and an empty bed next to him sleeping like a baby.

[00:17:57] Yeah.

[00:17:57] Yeah.

[00:17:58] He was just fine.

[00:17:59] That was the best part of that scene.

[00:18:02] Okay, Rima, what you got next?

[00:18:03] Just my next point, another short and sweet point, but I wanted to just touch on getting

[00:18:10] some new information about the Sakai headband that Daniel found that was Mr. Miyagi's.

[00:18:18] I mean, I guess we're going with the thought that it was Mr. Miyagi's.

[00:18:22] I mean, it was in his box.

[00:18:24] I feel like we need to hear the story and actually understand and know what it was and confirm that

[00:18:31] it's Miyagi's.

[00:18:32] I feel like until I can get a confirmation, I'm just going with that assumption.

[00:18:37] But we got a little information.

[00:18:38] I think it was really smart of Daniel to bring it with him, knowing that the whole group of people that they're going to be surrounded

[00:18:44] with in this tournament, that there could be somebody that has some information there.

[00:18:48] So, you know, getting to run into somebody who is in charge of like the apparel and stuff for the tournament and getting to be around people who've been around for a long time.

[00:19:00] And we hear that there is a master Serrano that, you know, may be someone that can help.

[00:19:07] And Daniel, of course, not being in that world and not having been, you know, known in the Sakai-Takai world.

[00:19:14] But there it was the oh, what's her name from Cobra Kai?

[00:19:17] She's like, he's a legendary champion.

[00:19:19] Everybody knows that.

[00:19:20] Like everybody knows that.

[00:19:22] Like making him out to be so dumb.

[00:19:24] But I'm really interested to see, you know, and of course, as fate would have it at one time, this guy lived in or this person lived in in Spain.

[00:19:34] So the fortunes are with them, you know, the tournament doesn't always happen here. Right.

[00:19:39] Right. I think.

[00:19:40] Yeah, I think it's yeah, I think it kind of moves around.

[00:19:43] So they just happen to be in Barcelona.

[00:19:45] And that person just happened to live here not that long ago.

[00:19:50] So I'm really interested to get more information, you know, and kind of keep up.

[00:19:57] You know, with that storyline and kind of get some answers, I really I really need to get some resolution on that and kind of find, you know, because it definitely has me intrigued.

[00:20:04] And I think that it's going to also whatever it is, have a big impact on Daniel.

[00:20:10] So I'm really curious to see how that plays out and what that means for his character.

[00:20:16] So I don't know.

[00:20:16] What do you guys think?

[00:20:17] Same. Yeah.

[00:20:18] Probably of everything that happened in this episode, that excites me the most.

[00:20:23] It's like, oh, yeah, that's right.

[00:20:25] Mr. Miyagi story.

[00:20:26] It'd be really interesting to see what happens.

[00:20:28] No, we got a lead.

[00:20:29] We got a lead.

[00:20:31] Fortunate.

[00:20:32] Yeah.

[00:20:34] Yeah.

[00:20:34] The showrunners had mentioned that they might like to do a Miyagi prequel series.

[00:20:43] So I feel like this might be leading into something with that.

[00:20:46] Maybe we'll get some flashbacks, you know, right now.

[00:20:48] I don't know.

[00:20:51] But I thought what was interesting, I agree.

[00:20:54] You know, they just gave us a little taste to move the story forward a little bit.

[00:20:57] And I was intrigued and I thought it was intriguing that they noticed blood on the headbands and the efficient guy said the tournament was more brutal back then.

[00:21:07] They said it was probably from the 40s or 50s.

[00:21:10] That's what that woman you're talking about, Rema said.

[00:21:12] And I kind of was wondering about that before that maybe it was brutal.

[00:21:16] I wonder how much more brutal, like, could it be to the death?

[00:21:20] Because in Karate Kid, Daniel said to Miyagi when they were at this tournament and he didn't know the rules.

[00:21:27] You told me you fought a lot.

[00:21:28] And he goes for life, not for points.

[00:21:30] So maybe the Seikai Taikai was for life back then, you know.

[00:21:33] Good point.

[00:21:34] Yeah.

[00:21:35] Nice.

[00:21:36] Damn.

[00:21:37] Well, now we need to have a flashback.

[00:21:39] Yeah.

[00:21:40] Because these guys don't miss details like that.

[00:21:42] So either it was for life or it wasn't him in it, you know, in the tournament.

[00:21:48] But I think that would be boring if it wasn't actually Miyagi.

[00:21:50] Oh, no.

[00:21:50] Somebody else.

[00:21:51] That's a boring end of the story.

[00:21:53] Yeah.

[00:21:54] They mentioned with this tournament, like, it was said, well, people have died, you know.

[00:22:00] So there you go.

[00:22:01] It's a big deal.

[00:22:01] It's not, you know.

[00:22:02] So, yeah.

[00:22:03] Yeah.

[00:22:04] So maybe that's another reason why Miyagi kind of doesn't like tournaments.

[00:22:08] I almost died, Daniel.

[00:22:10] Yeah.

[00:22:11] Yeah.

[00:22:12] And then.

[00:22:13] Change is that perspective, you know.

[00:22:15] Yeah.

[00:22:15] Yeah.

[00:22:16] I guess that's all I'd say.

[00:22:17] Yeah.

[00:22:17] But yeah.

[00:22:17] So now we have a lead for him to follow.

[00:22:19] So it'll be fun to see what happens.

[00:22:22] Ah, that's going to be cool.

[00:22:24] Now I'm even more excited.

[00:22:27] And I'll say that.

[00:22:38] I'll say that.

[00:22:48] I'll say it.

[00:22:55] eBay & Co. werben und verkaufen.

[00:22:58] Neue Zielgruppen zu erreichen

[00:22:59] war noch nie so einfach.

[00:23:17] und loslegen.

[00:23:19] Made for Germany.

[00:23:20] Powered by Shopify.

[00:23:22] Alright, Rich.

[00:23:25] So, uh,

[00:23:28] the introduction of the Iron Dragons,

[00:23:30] I know Rima was talking about this

[00:23:32] just a little bit there,

[00:23:33] but now we have a team

[00:23:37] that's the baddest of the badasses.

[00:23:40] I mean, really?

[00:23:42] I don't remember what,

[00:23:44] and to your point, Jason,

[00:23:45] I don't remember what the plot device is called,

[00:23:47] but where you keep adding these elements

[00:23:48] that make the odds of winning

[00:23:49] seem absolutely hopeless.

[00:23:50] I think we're screwed at this point.

[00:23:53] Jeez.

[00:23:54] But it sure is effective

[00:23:55] at making our little Miyagi-Do team

[00:23:57] look even more screwed

[00:23:58] the way they set this whole thing up,

[00:24:00] and these guys,

[00:24:01] man, that dude was huge.

[00:24:02] Actually, I looked him up.

[00:24:03] I don't,

[00:24:03] I can't remember the name of the actor now,

[00:24:05] but the guy who plays Axel was 6'3".

[00:24:08] Wow.

[00:24:09] Which, you know, that's tall,

[00:24:10] but it's not like super tall.

[00:24:11] I think all the actors in this series

[00:24:13] are just really tiny.

[00:24:15] Yeah, I think they're a little shorter.

[00:24:19] Yeah.

[00:24:19] And so, yeah,

[00:24:20] it just makes that dude look even bigger.

[00:24:22] Yeah, he looked like he was ginormous.

[00:24:24] Mm-hmm.

[00:24:25] But he took out the two guys

[00:24:27] from Cobra Kai like quick,

[00:24:30] like nothing.

[00:24:32] And those two guys gave Miyagi-Do

[00:24:36] a really hard time.

[00:24:37] So, yeah, we're in it now.

[00:24:39] They need to get their shit together,

[00:24:41] like Jay said, for sure.

[00:24:44] Yeah, focus.

[00:24:46] And, oh, and the girl, too.

[00:24:49] Oh, what's her name?

[00:24:50] Her character's name is Zara.

[00:24:52] Zara, yeah.

[00:24:53] She took Tori out really quick also.

[00:24:56] If I was younger,

[00:24:57] I would mention that she's hot,

[00:25:00] but I'm not,

[00:25:00] so I won't say that.

[00:25:03] Well, you know,

[00:25:04] she really does know karate.

[00:25:05] She's like the youngest black belt.

[00:25:06] She, yeah.

[00:25:08] She's legit.

[00:25:09] She's been in lots of tournaments

[00:25:10] for real, yeah.

[00:25:11] Oh, really?

[00:25:12] She's a good actress then.

[00:25:13] Yeah, I...

[00:25:13] I thought she was pretty good.

[00:25:14] Yeah.

[00:25:15] I think she does some acting.

[00:25:17] She's been in a few things

[00:25:18] here and there,

[00:25:19] but yeah, you're right, Rich.

[00:25:20] I was intrigued by her.

[00:25:21] I was like, oh my gosh.

[00:25:22] So I immediately looked her up

[00:25:24] and yeah, you're right.

[00:25:25] Said she's the youngest black belt

[00:25:27] martial artist

[00:25:28] to attain 12 world championship titles.

[00:25:32] In 2011 at the age of eight,

[00:25:35] her name's Raina,

[00:25:35] her real name,

[00:25:36] won four world titles

[00:25:39] and making her the youngest black belt

[00:25:41] ever to win a championship.

[00:25:42] That's incredible.

[00:25:43] And she was competing against

[00:25:44] girls twice her size

[00:25:45] and a number of years older.

[00:25:46] So she's very well versed

[00:25:49] in the martial arts

[00:25:51] and extremely talented.

[00:25:52] So I'm anxious to see

[00:25:54] some more moves from her.

[00:25:56] That was a pretty awesome move.

[00:25:59] Legit.

[00:26:01] I want to know what

[00:26:02] Kreese

[00:26:04] and

[00:26:05] the other coach,

[00:26:06] what's her name?

[00:26:07] I want to know what they think

[00:26:09] of this new team.

[00:26:10] The Iron Dragons.

[00:26:12] They look stressed.

[00:26:14] They're like,

[00:26:15] oh,

[00:26:16] what's

[00:26:16] Yeah,

[00:26:17] when,

[00:26:17] uh,

[00:26:18] when they beat

[00:26:20] Cobra Kai,

[00:26:22] I was sort of like,

[00:26:23] oh man,

[00:26:24] Miyagi just got

[00:26:26] embarrassed

[00:26:27] and,

[00:26:27] and Miyagi-Do,

[00:26:28] I mean,

[00:26:28] and then Cobra Kai got beaten.

[00:26:30] I'm like,

[00:26:31] feeling that feeling I get

[00:26:33] when I watch sports,

[00:26:34] like,

[00:26:34] come on teams,

[00:26:35] even with Cobra Kai,

[00:26:36] like represent,

[00:26:37] come on.

[00:26:39] And,

[00:26:40] uh,

[00:26:40] you know,

[00:26:40] when the four,

[00:26:41] when the four,

[00:26:42] uh,

[00:26:43] got people,

[00:26:43] the four teammates

[00:26:44] that were there to protect

[00:26:45] the captains just took a knee

[00:26:46] and then walked off.

[00:26:47] I was like,

[00:26:48] oh yeah,

[00:26:49] this is going to be cool.

[00:26:51] Well,

[00:26:52] uh,

[00:26:53] I kind of have a point

[00:26:54] about the whole

[00:26:55] captain's war thing.

[00:26:57] It's,

[00:26:58] it's a little bit long,

[00:26:59] but I also have

[00:27:00] a point about the

[00:27:01] Sekai Taikai rules.

[00:27:03] That's a little shorter.

[00:27:05] Should I do that one first?

[00:27:06] I guess I should.

[00:27:07] Yeah.

[00:27:07] What are the rules?

[00:27:09] So right at the beginning

[00:27:10] of the episode,

[00:27:11] the efficient guy says,

[00:27:13] captains,

[00:27:14] you will have the honor

[00:27:14] and privilege to compete

[00:27:15] in our televised tournament

[00:27:17] of champions,

[00:27:18] but that is only

[00:27:19] if your dojo does well enough

[00:27:20] in our team competitions

[00:27:21] to make it to the final four.

[00:27:23] So that means

[00:27:24] the team all has to work together

[00:27:26] to get the dojo

[00:27:27] into the final four

[00:27:28] so the captains

[00:27:29] can then fight on TV.

[00:27:31] Hmm.

[00:27:32] And it's a points thing,

[00:27:34] whoever has points.

[00:27:35] So as a reminder,

[00:27:36] the Miyagi-Do captains

[00:27:38] are Robbie and Samantha

[00:27:38] and Cobra Kai is Tori

[00:27:40] and,

[00:27:40] and Quan.

[00:27:42] And so I,

[00:27:43] you know,

[00:27:43] you would think

[00:27:45] as much as they're

[00:27:46] trying to make us

[00:27:47] worry

[00:27:48] that we're likely

[00:27:49] to see Robbie

[00:27:50] versus Quan

[00:27:50] and Samantha

[00:27:51] versus Tori

[00:27:52] at the end,

[00:27:52] but who knows,

[00:27:53] maybe they'll build

[00:27:54] some of these other

[00:27:55] characters up

[00:27:55] so we care about them

[00:27:56] and have them be in it.

[00:27:57] Um,

[00:27:58] but you'd think that

[00:27:59] you'd think Robbie

[00:28:00] and Samantha would win,

[00:28:01] but Tori and Robbie

[00:28:03] keep talking about them

[00:28:04] being the final two standing.

[00:28:05] So maybe we could see that.

[00:28:06] I don't know.

[00:28:07] Yeah.

[00:28:08] I don't know.

[00:28:09] I'm not convinced

[00:28:09] Samantha and Tori

[00:28:11] are going to fight again,

[00:28:12] at least in any significant.

[00:28:14] They have fought a lot already.

[00:28:15] Yeah.

[00:28:16] Yeah.

[00:28:16] I think you're right.

[00:28:17] There'll be some twists

[00:28:17] and something else

[00:28:18] will happen,

[00:28:19] huh?

[00:28:19] Yeah,

[00:28:20] exactly.

[00:28:20] I think the writers

[00:28:21] are going to throw

[00:28:22] some curveballs

[00:28:23] with Tori's story.

[00:28:24] I hope so.

[00:28:24] Too predictable.

[00:28:25] She doesn't even,

[00:28:26] she's not even sure

[00:28:26] about her choice

[00:28:27] of being there.

[00:28:28] Yeah.

[00:28:29] Which I kind of

[00:28:30] thought was interesting,

[00:28:30] but we'll talk more

[00:28:31] about that.

[00:28:31] But then the efficient

[00:28:32] says once the tournament

[00:28:33] is over,

[00:28:34] we will then tally

[00:28:35] all the points

[00:28:35] your dojos have earned.

[00:28:37] The dojo with the most points

[00:28:39] wins the Sakai Taikai.

[00:28:40] So that could mean

[00:28:42] that the captains

[00:28:43] who win the final match

[00:28:45] won't necessarily

[00:28:45] be from the dojo

[00:28:46] who wins the tournament

[00:28:47] because the dojo

[00:28:52] that wins the most points

[00:28:53] wins the whole thing.

[00:28:55] I don't know.

[00:28:56] But anyway,

[00:28:58] I think what's good

[00:28:59] about this whole setup

[00:29:00] is like as the efficient

[00:29:01] said,

[00:29:02] each event counts

[00:29:03] because they're all

[00:29:04] trying to build up points

[00:29:05] so that their team's captains

[00:29:07] can fight at the end.

[00:29:09] So even though

[00:29:09] Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do

[00:29:12] lost this first one,

[00:29:14] I don't know if they still

[00:29:14] got points like

[00:29:15] for being

[00:29:17] third,

[00:29:17] second place

[00:29:18] or, you know,

[00:29:19] instead of fourth.

[00:29:20] But anyway,

[00:29:22] clearly the Iron Dragons

[00:29:24] got more points

[00:29:24] than anyone else.

[00:29:26] Yeah,

[00:29:27] I was a little confused.

[00:29:29] Remember when Tori

[00:29:29] was in the hotel room

[00:29:30] and she said,

[00:29:31] I'm only,

[00:29:32] I only wanted to be captain

[00:29:33] so that I would fight last.

[00:29:34] And then like

[00:29:36] a few scenes later,

[00:29:37] she was the first one

[00:29:38] to go out and fight.

[00:29:39] I was like,

[00:29:39] wait a minute.

[00:29:40] She meant,

[00:29:41] I didn't quite understand.

[00:29:42] Well,

[00:29:42] that means,

[00:29:43] it doesn't mean

[00:29:44] she won't fight first.

[00:29:46] It just means that

[00:29:46] she will fight last

[00:29:47] no matter what,

[00:29:49] right?

[00:29:49] She'll be there at the end

[00:29:50] in other words.

[00:29:52] Yeah.

[00:29:52] Because whoever,

[00:29:54] at the end,

[00:29:54] whoever's dojos,

[00:29:55] two dojos have the most

[00:29:57] or four dojos,

[00:29:58] I guess.

[00:29:59] I don't know.

[00:29:59] How are they going to,

[00:30:00] is it just two?

[00:30:01] And then both the

[00:30:03] female and male

[00:30:04] from those two dojos

[00:30:05] are in it?

[00:30:06] Anyway,

[00:30:07] whichever dojos

[00:30:07] have the most points

[00:30:08] at the end,

[00:30:09] their captains

[00:30:09] are the ones

[00:30:10] that are going to fight.

[00:30:10] So she's just saying

[00:30:11] she wants to be

[00:30:11] one of those.

[00:30:13] Oh, yeah.

[00:30:13] Okay.

[00:30:14] That makes sense.

[00:30:15] So should I just talk

[00:30:16] about the captains war

[00:30:17] then?

[00:30:18] Yeah.

[00:30:19] This thing?

[00:30:19] Yeah.

[00:30:19] Because you guys

[00:30:20] kind of already did.

[00:30:20] So I thought it was

[00:30:22] pretty wild.

[00:30:23] It was pretty much

[00:30:23] a free-for-all

[00:30:24] among all four dojos

[00:30:26] at once.

[00:30:27] And it was more intense

[00:30:28] than other free-for-alls

[00:30:30] we've seen,

[00:30:30] I think,

[00:30:30] because it wasn't

[00:30:32] just kids we know.

[00:30:33] It was kids we don't know

[00:30:34] and Cobra Kai was there.

[00:30:37] But the rules for that

[00:30:38] are if you hit the mat,

[00:30:40] you're out.

[00:30:40] If your captain

[00:30:41] hits the mat

[00:30:42] or gets taken down,

[00:30:43] I guess,

[00:30:43] your entire team

[00:30:44] is out for that round.

[00:30:46] And so they didn't really

[00:30:47] say how points figure in,

[00:30:48] but I'm sure they did

[00:30:49] somehow.

[00:30:50] And so just watching

[00:30:51] this without,

[00:30:52] you know,

[00:30:52] like on first watch

[00:30:53] without trying to figure

[00:30:55] out what the hell's

[00:30:56] going on,

[00:30:57] I was just like,

[00:30:58] wow,

[00:30:58] this is pretty exciting.

[00:30:59] You don't usually see

[00:31:00] anything like this

[00:31:01] at a tournament

[00:31:01] that's so chaotic,

[00:31:03] especially with girls

[00:31:04] and guys fighting together.

[00:31:06] Right.

[00:31:07] And there was some

[00:31:08] pretty intense,

[00:31:09] like the second best

[00:31:10] Cobra Kai guy

[00:31:11] that we saw,

[00:31:12] Quan,

[00:31:14] replace

[00:31:14] earlier this season.

[00:31:16] He kicked Hawk's ass,

[00:31:18] kicked him right in the face.

[00:31:19] Yeah.

[00:31:20] Hardcore.

[00:31:20] Sam took down a guy.

[00:31:22] Sam and Tori were fighting,

[00:31:24] but I think to a standstill

[00:31:25] since they're both captains,

[00:31:27] they didn't take each other out.

[00:31:28] Robbie,

[00:31:30] no,

[00:31:30] I think Miguel was fighting

[00:31:32] two guys at once

[00:31:33] and took one out.

[00:31:35] Miguel was being a badass.

[00:31:37] Robbie was about to take out Quan,

[00:31:39] but then he started staring

[00:31:40] at Tori and lost focus.

[00:31:42] And I'm like,

[00:31:42] come on,

[00:31:43] dude,

[00:31:43] really?

[00:31:43] Come on.

[00:31:44] There it is.

[00:31:45] Yeah.

[00:31:45] Here we go again.

[00:31:47] That's the shit you're going to

[00:31:48] regret when you're 40,

[00:31:49] dude.

[00:31:49] Right.

[00:31:50] So,

[00:31:50] and I think that like with

[00:31:52] Quan saying,

[00:31:54] did you sleep okay?

[00:31:54] That was sort of a dig

[00:31:55] because he knows

[00:31:57] him winning that kicking competition

[00:31:59] caused Robbie not to get as much sleep.

[00:32:01] Plus he somehow knows

[00:32:03] that Tori's his girlfriend

[00:32:04] and he's worried about all that.

[00:32:06] So he knows exactly

[00:32:07] how to needle people.

[00:32:08] But anyway,

[00:32:08] so then I was like,

[00:32:09] okay,

[00:32:09] what actually happened?

[00:32:10] Because we mostly saw fighting

[00:32:11] between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do

[00:32:13] even though there were supposed

[00:32:14] to be four,

[00:32:14] but it was a little confusing.

[00:32:15] Of the four teams are Miyagi-Do,

[00:32:18] Cobra Kai,

[00:32:19] the Iron Dragons,

[00:32:20] and the green,

[00:32:21] and Falchi della Notte,

[00:32:23] who's the red team from Italy.

[00:32:25] That's Italian for Nighthawks,

[00:32:27] Falchi della Notte.

[00:32:29] And so it looked like

[00:32:31] the Iron Dragons

[00:32:32] just stood off to the side

[00:32:33] and let everyone else duke it out,

[00:32:35] you know?

[00:32:35] But I watched again

[00:32:37] and there was some movement

[00:32:38] among them.

[00:32:39] So I think maybe they were

[00:32:40] fighting the red team,

[00:32:42] but it was just off camera.

[00:32:43] You saw that?

[00:32:44] Yeah, I saw that.

[00:32:45] They,

[00:32:45] like when Tori started running

[00:32:47] towards Miyagi-Do,

[00:32:48] the red team started running

[00:32:49] towards the Iron Dragons.

[00:32:50] Okay.

[00:32:51] So they,

[00:32:51] those two teams were more fighting.

[00:32:53] And then after Robby gets taken out

[00:32:56] and the focus is on Hawk

[00:32:57] and Miguel for a second,

[00:32:58] where they're sort of dissing Robby,

[00:33:01] you can hear the ref

[00:33:01] in the background say,

[00:33:02] Falchi della Notte,

[00:33:03] Captain down.

[00:33:04] They are out.

[00:33:04] So I think,

[00:33:05] I don't know if Cobra Kai

[00:33:06] or Iron Dragon did that,

[00:33:07] but then,

[00:33:08] then you see the Iron Dragons

[00:33:10] standing there,

[00:33:11] none of them out,

[00:33:12] and they're outnumbering

[00:33:14] the Cobra Kai team.

[00:33:15] I think seven of them to three,

[00:33:17] but then the four stand aside,

[00:33:19] like you said,

[00:33:19] I guess just showing confidence,

[00:33:20] like we don't even need

[00:33:21] to protect our captains.

[00:33:23] Yeah.

[00:33:23] And,

[00:33:25] and there's,

[00:33:26] and we see that their sensei

[00:33:27] is the,

[00:33:28] the stake stealer.

[00:33:29] Yeah.

[00:33:33] I,

[00:33:34] I was surprised that Dimitri

[00:33:35] got kicked out so fast.

[00:33:38] Like literally,

[00:33:39] he literally got kicked in the chest

[00:33:40] and was knocked off the mat,

[00:33:41] like within 10 seconds.

[00:33:42] I was like,

[00:33:42] oh shit.

[00:33:43] I thought he did a pretty good job

[00:33:44] to make the team,

[00:33:45] I guess.

[00:33:46] So it kind of made me wonder,

[00:33:47] is he going to be the weakest link?

[00:33:49] I don't know.

[00:33:50] If this was real,

[00:33:51] I wouldn't be surprised by that at all.

[00:33:52] I'd be like,

[00:33:53] yeah,

[00:33:53] of course.

[00:33:53] Why'd you bring him?

[00:33:55] Yeah.

[00:33:56] In the storyline.

[00:33:58] Yeah.

[00:33:58] Yeah.

[00:34:00] So yeah,

[00:34:00] you're right,

[00:34:01] Rich.

[00:34:01] Like this is the same thing,

[00:34:03] like I was saying about,

[00:34:04] um,

[00:34:04] Robbie losing the kicking competition.

[00:34:06] And here we see not only Miyagi-Do,

[00:34:09] but Cobra Kai both lose to the Iron Dragon.

[00:34:11] So it's just making our guys feel like the underdogs.

[00:34:15] Yeah.

[00:34:15] But also it's not just for our guys.

[00:34:18] I mean,

[00:34:18] look at Cobra Kai.

[00:34:19] They got their asses handed to him too.

[00:34:21] That was satisfying.

[00:34:22] Yeah.

[00:34:23] It was kind of nice to be like,

[00:34:26] Oh,

[00:34:27] you guys aren't the baddest ones on the block.

[00:34:29] You know,

[00:34:30] you got your ass handed to you too.

[00:34:32] You got a little something to be worried about.

[00:34:34] I know you think you're hot shit.

[00:34:35] Well,

[00:34:36] it kind of,

[00:34:36] it kind of,

[00:34:38] in a way feels like it almost levels the playing field just a little bit.

[00:34:42] I mean,

[00:34:42] we saw,

[00:34:43] you know,

[00:34:44] Miyagi-Do,

[00:34:45] you know,

[00:34:45] it's like y'all were saying they're,

[00:34:47] they're all struggling with being focused.

[00:34:49] You know,

[00:34:49] they're all,

[00:34:51] you know,

[00:34:51] they don't look like a core group working together right now.

[00:34:54] They're all,

[00:34:55] they look just shaken and unfocused.

[00:34:58] And resenting each other and all this things like that.

[00:35:01] Yeah.

[00:35:01] Yeah,

[00:35:02] absolutely.

[00:35:03] So,

[00:35:03] you know,

[00:35:04] and,

[00:35:04] and Cobra Kai,

[00:35:05] of course,

[00:35:06] seeing that and they're poking at them,

[00:35:08] you know,

[00:35:08] like you're saying,

[00:35:09] you know,

[00:35:09] kind of needling them a little bit and,

[00:35:11] and they're so sure of themselves and kind of cocky,

[00:35:13] but then now in this fight and it's like,

[00:35:15] Oh,

[00:35:16] Oh,

[00:35:17] we're not the baddest.

[00:35:19] I mean,

[00:35:19] they probably wouldn't admit that,

[00:35:20] but you could kind of see that they were shaken by that.

[00:35:23] And so I feel like it kind of levels things just a little bit,

[00:35:26] you know,

[00:35:27] maybe it's going to get them a little unfocused,

[00:35:28] a little shaken.

[00:35:29] And,

[00:35:30] and they're like when,

[00:35:31] um,

[00:35:33] Kwan was like telling Tori,

[00:35:35] you know,

[00:35:35] you be quiet and just don't fall down.

[00:35:38] And I'm like,

[00:35:39] Oh,

[00:35:39] you're an asshole.

[00:35:40] It kind of reminded me of when Johnny threw Ali's radio down in karate kid,

[00:35:47] just guy being a dick to a girl.

[00:35:50] So that's sort of not good for their own team spirit either.

[00:35:55] Cause she really knows what she's doing.

[00:35:57] But the,

[00:35:58] the iron,

[00:35:58] I want to say one more thing about the iron dragons.

[00:36:00] Like I,

[00:36:02] I thought they were Spanish.

[00:36:04] Cause the girl,

[00:36:05] what nationality is the girl you were talking about?

[00:36:08] Who's this champion in real life?

[00:36:10] She's American.

[00:36:11] She's American.

[00:36:12] So on the back of their geese,

[00:36:15] there was a Hong Kong flag.

[00:36:18] So,

[00:36:19] cause I was trying to figure out what,

[00:36:21] where they came from.

[00:36:23] Maybe you guys know,

[00:36:24] but to me,

[00:36:24] it seems like maybe they're just a team pulled together of some of the best

[00:36:28] fighters in the world or something from different countries,

[00:36:30] you know?

[00:36:32] Yeah.

[00:36:33] Neither of the captains look like they're from Japan.

[00:36:36] Hong Kong's China,

[00:36:37] but yeah.

[00:36:37] Or I mean,

[00:36:38] Chinese,

[00:36:38] China.

[00:36:39] Sorry.

[00:36:40] Yeah.

[00:36:41] I don't know.

[00:36:42] I don't know.

[00:36:43] Yeah.

[00:36:43] If it's like an eight,

[00:36:44] like a dream team or something,

[00:36:46] maybe.

[00:36:47] Yeah.

[00:36:48] I don't,

[00:36:48] they didn't,

[00:36:49] they didn't call it out.

[00:36:50] I didn't know.

[00:36:51] I didn't know if they were supposed to be a team based in either Spain or Barcelona.

[00:36:56] Cause she's like,

[00:36:57] welcome to Barcelona.

[00:36:58] Yeah.

[00:36:59] So I don't know if that was,

[00:37:00] could have just been attitude,

[00:37:01] you know?

[00:37:02] Yeah.

[00:37:02] It could have just been.

[00:37:03] Yeah.

[00:37:04] But I was like,

[00:37:05] oh,

[00:37:06] well,

[00:37:06] is that where you're from?

[00:37:07] You know,

[00:37:07] I wasn't,

[00:37:07] I wasn't sure either.

[00:37:09] Maybe we'll find out more about them.

[00:37:11] Yeah.

[00:37:11] Yeah.

[00:37:13] All right.

[00:37:14] Rima.

[00:37:17] My last point.

[00:37:19] I think I just want to touch on a little bit about how I appreciated that they,

[00:37:25] the show runners,

[00:37:26] everyone involved taking us to this next level.

[00:37:30] You know,

[00:37:30] I think they were really kind of setting up for this to be like this world stage kind of event.

[00:37:35] And it's supposed to be the best of the best at this event.

[00:37:39] I didn't know what to expect at all.

[00:37:42] You know,

[00:37:42] I,

[00:37:42] I just keep thinking of like blood sport back in the day,

[00:37:45] you know,

[00:37:47] like,

[00:37:47] is this,

[00:37:47] is this what we're going to get?

[00:37:48] You know,

[00:37:50] that's my experience with it.

[00:37:52] I think that's what it was in the fifties.

[00:37:54] Blood sport.

[00:37:55] Yeah.

[00:37:56] Yeah.

[00:37:57] Yeah.

[00:37:57] There you go.

[00:37:59] So I,

[00:37:59] I appreciate that,

[00:38:01] you know,

[00:38:01] they're,

[00:38:01] they're,

[00:38:01] they're,

[00:38:02] they're setting us up and they've kind of put,

[00:38:05] put us on this stage and it is showing the best of the best.

[00:38:08] And in this new,

[00:38:09] new location,

[00:38:10] because,

[00:38:11] and I think we have to get there.

[00:38:13] We can't,

[00:38:13] I think at this point in the series where we are in this,

[00:38:16] this far into season six,

[00:38:18] and you know,

[00:38:18] we're the wrapping this up.

[00:38:21] We can't just have another day in the dojo in LA.

[00:38:25] Like it's time to,

[00:38:26] to step it up.

[00:38:27] So I really am glad that they are stepping it up there.

[00:38:29] And that we get that first event where it's basically controlled chaos.

[00:38:34] You know,

[00:38:34] everything that you talked about there,

[00:38:35] Jason with the,

[00:38:37] this captain's event was,

[00:38:40] was just craziness.

[00:38:43] And it feels like an uphill battle for everyone.

[00:38:46] You know,

[00:38:47] the good guys,

[00:38:48] the bad guys,

[00:38:49] they're all like,

[00:38:50] Oh hell.

[00:38:51] They're all kind of,

[00:38:52] you know,

[00:38:52] I feel like shaking a little bit about what they're seeing.

[00:38:55] And I really liked that.

[00:38:57] They're taking the time that we get to kind of explore Tori's feelings.

[00:39:02] I'm really glad that we kind of come back to that and kind of where she's at

[00:39:06] and how she is unsure about her decision,

[00:39:09] you know,

[00:39:09] maybe not feeling as confident about her season.

[00:39:11] And it's not just what it means for Miyagi though,

[00:39:13] that she's switched.

[00:39:16] But also where she's at emotionally with her relationship with Robbie,

[00:39:22] how,

[00:39:22] where she is with her relationship with Samantha.

[00:39:25] I really feel like they're,

[00:39:26] they're pushing the characters and pushing the show and,

[00:39:30] and going in a really good direction,

[00:39:32] I think.

[00:39:33] And I think Tori Nichols as,

[00:39:36] or sorry,

[00:39:37] that's her character name.

[00:39:38] I was looking at her character name,

[00:39:39] Peyton List.

[00:39:40] Sorry,

[00:39:41] is,

[00:39:41] is really playing Tori really,

[00:39:43] really well.

[00:39:44] I think she did a fantastic job in this episode.

[00:39:47] I'm in her conversations with Robbie and with Samantha.

[00:39:51] And I really love that.

[00:39:52] I think she's gotten to be more vulnerable while she is kind of second guessing what she's decided to do.

[00:40:00] And then we see,

[00:40:01] you know,

[00:40:02] how Samantha and Robbie are also grappling with that.

[00:40:03] I just really like how they're,

[00:40:05] they're pushing these characters and how they've all seemed to kind of settle into these characters too.

[00:40:10] I think they just keep getting better and better.

[00:40:13] Um,

[00:40:14] so I'm appreciating where they've taken us so far in this season.

[00:40:17] They're really sad when it's over.

[00:40:19] I agree about Peyton List.

[00:40:20] You can,

[00:40:21] I mean,

[00:40:22] her mom died for crying out loud,

[00:40:23] you know,

[00:40:23] her world crashed around her and she's doing a really good job of,

[00:40:26] of like,

[00:40:27] you know,

[00:40:27] her,

[00:40:27] her whole demeanor has changed.

[00:40:29] Yeah.

[00:40:30] As a character.

[00:40:31] And the actress is really pulling that through.

[00:40:33] I was impressed with that too.

[00:40:35] Yeah.

[00:40:35] And it's good that the series has gotten to go six seasons because when a series lasts this long,

[00:40:42] then the actors do tend to settle into their characters more and feel like real people more,

[00:40:48] you know?

[00:40:49] Yeah.

[00:40:49] Yeah.

[00:40:50] But I liked,

[00:40:51] I liked,

[00:40:52] uh,

[00:40:54] that,

[00:40:54] I liked that they had encounters with Tori and different characters,

[00:40:58] Robbie,

[00:40:59] Devin,

[00:41:00] and Samantha,

[00:41:01] and that she spoke respectfully to all of them.

[00:41:03] and that we saw her at the end of last season,

[00:41:06] just when she found out her,

[00:41:08] well,

[00:41:08] sure.

[00:41:09] Found her mom dead.

[00:41:10] She really took it so badly and was so upset and angry and just went into that fight with Samantha,

[00:41:17] just as emotional as we've ever seen her and reactive.

[00:41:21] Right.

[00:41:21] And that from that place,

[00:41:23] we presumed that's when she decided,

[00:41:25] fuck you guys,

[00:41:26] I'm going with Cobra Kai.

[00:41:27] And I think there is some truth in that,

[00:41:28] but what I liked about how she handled things in this episode is when she was talking to her,

[00:41:33] Robbie,

[00:41:33] much calmer.

[00:41:34] Some time has passed.

[00:41:35] She's like,

[00:41:36] I don't think Miyagi would have given it.

[00:41:38] Miyagi though would have given me a fair shake.

[00:41:40] And Robbie didn't agree with that,

[00:41:41] but I think there's reason to at least think that could be debatable.

[00:41:45] We know that Daniel is biased towards his daughter,

[00:41:49] you know,

[00:41:50] and Johnny's biased towards,

[00:41:51] uh,

[00:41:52] Tori,

[00:41:52] but either way,

[00:41:53] it helps explain why Tori went with Cobra Kai other than just a reactive thing that she knew for a fact that Kreese wanted her as captain.

[00:42:01] And that's what she wanted to be.

[00:42:02] So she went for the sure thing,

[00:42:04] you know,

[00:42:04] and it makes sense on some level.

[00:42:07] It kind of does make sense.

[00:42:09] And then when she told Robbie,

[00:42:10] I just want to focus on karate while I'm here and hope to be standing with you on the podium at the end.

[00:42:16] Like,

[00:42:16] like we said,

[00:42:18] that seems fine to me,

[00:42:20] but Robbie's all bent out of shape about it.

[00:42:22] And,

[00:42:23] and I thought that felt maybe a little contrived,

[00:42:25] but it also felt very much like a teenager thing where one person would be like,

[00:42:30] well,

[00:42:30] you're breaking up with me.

[00:42:31] No,

[00:42:31] I'm not breaking up with you.

[00:42:32] Oh my God.

[00:42:34] It's like,

[00:42:35] chill out,

[00:42:36] dude.

[00:42:36] That was me in high school.

[00:42:37] Like every other day,

[00:42:40] pretty much.

[00:42:41] Richard remembers.

[00:42:42] Sorry,

[00:42:42] Mitch.

[00:42:43] Well,

[00:42:43] that's funny.

[00:42:45] Well,

[00:42:46] I'm curious.

[00:42:46] Do you think,

[00:42:47] and,

[00:42:48] and I don't know that.

[00:42:49] I just want to make it clear.

[00:42:50] Richard and I were not dating.

[00:42:51] I would go to Richard.

[00:42:52] Yeah.

[00:42:53] Like,

[00:42:53] Oh my God.

[00:42:55] Teen,

[00:42:55] teen angst.

[00:42:56] Yeah.

[00:42:57] If we weren't dating,

[00:42:58] it would be fine,

[00:42:59] but we just,

[00:42:59] we weren't.

[00:43:00] Yeah.

[00:43:02] We should stop talking.

[00:43:03] Okay.

[00:43:04] Sorry.

[00:43:04] I'll just.

[00:43:07] You're going to get yourself in a spot.

[00:43:10] You know,

[00:43:11] I don't,

[00:43:11] I don't think I necessarily agree with Tori that she was automatically going to get looked over in that position.

[00:43:18] But do you think that she's gotten to Robbie a little bit when she said that?

[00:43:22] Because now that the team is all kind of looking at him and like,

[00:43:25] man,

[00:43:26] why didn't you tell us about Chris approaching Tori?

[00:43:32] And they're all kind of,

[00:43:33] you know,

[00:43:34] beaten,

[00:43:34] beaten him down about it.

[00:43:36] And,

[00:43:36] and I think that that's not their,

[00:43:37] I get their feelings.

[00:43:39] I think they're valid feelings that they have that they like,

[00:43:42] yeah,

[00:43:42] dude,

[00:43:42] you probably should have told us,

[00:43:43] but I think that it's not the best time to be like down on your captain.

[00:43:46] You need your captain to lead you,

[00:43:49] to lift you up and to get you to,

[00:43:52] you know,

[00:43:52] to be able to fight all of these other dojos.

[00:43:55] So I don't like what they're doing,

[00:43:56] but I do think they're valid.

[00:43:57] Their feelings are valid.

[00:43:59] But I'm wondering if,

[00:44:00] if he's going to start wondering if Tori was right,

[00:44:01] based on how they're treating him right now.

[00:44:05] Cause when you went back and they,

[00:44:07] and Samantha,

[00:44:07] like,

[00:44:07] you know,

[00:44:08] Robbie knew that Chris approached Tori and he lied to us about it.

[00:44:12] And he's like,

[00:44:13] I didn't lie.

[00:44:14] And I'm like,

[00:44:14] he didn't lie.

[00:44:14] He just didn't mention it.

[00:44:15] Who cares?

[00:44:16] I feel like that is contrived drama.

[00:44:19] I'm like,

[00:44:20] who cares?

[00:44:21] I don't,

[00:44:21] I don't feel like I'm missing something,

[00:44:23] but it's ridiculous,

[00:44:25] but they're just trying to,

[00:44:26] yeah,

[00:44:27] put all these wedges in between the characters.

[00:44:29] And I think you're right.

[00:44:30] Yeah.

[00:44:30] That what Tori said might also make Robbie feel more,

[00:44:35] um,

[00:44:35] alienated from everyone.

[00:44:37] Is that what Sam was trying to say to that?

[00:44:40] That Tori went for the sure thing by going over to crease because she said

[00:44:43] something to the effect of,

[00:44:44] you know,

[00:44:45] if you,

[00:44:45] if you own this decision,

[00:44:47] I'll respect that even though I don't agree with it because I wasn't quite

[00:44:49] sure what she meant.

[00:44:52] Owning that decision.

[00:44:53] Um,

[00:44:53] I think she just,

[00:44:54] she's feeling a little bit,

[00:44:56] um,

[00:44:57] a little unsure,

[00:44:58] but she's like,

[00:44:59] no,

[00:45:00] I'm going to fully,

[00:45:01] um,

[00:45:02] just commit to what I decided and not worry about it.

[00:45:06] Yeah.

[00:45:07] You know what I mean?

[00:45:07] Keep it over there.

[00:45:08] Not sit there questioning it,

[00:45:09] but just be like,

[00:45:10] I'm here with Cobra Kai.

[00:45:11] I'm going to go for it.

[00:45:12] Yeah.

[00:45:13] That makes sense.

[00:45:14] Makes sense.

[00:45:17] That was Richard's turn.

[00:45:18] A lot of drama.

[00:45:20] Well,

[00:45:21] I hope that there's a little more depth to chosen's story because if not,

[00:45:27] that'd be kind of disappointing.

[00:45:28] I mean,

[00:45:28] if that's all there is really,

[00:45:30] he goes to Okinawa,

[00:45:32] buys some flowers,

[00:45:33] sees a guy in a towel and then shows up in Barcelona drunk off his ass.

[00:45:38] I'm kind of hoping there's a little more to it than that.

[00:45:40] I mean,

[00:45:40] you know,

[00:45:40] it could be the classic,

[00:45:41] the guy in a towel is just your brother or something.

[00:45:44] Who knows?

[00:45:44] I mean,

[00:45:45] that's what I think.

[00:45:46] Exactly what you just said.

[00:45:47] It seems clear.

[00:45:48] It's some three's company style misunderstanding,

[00:45:50] right?

[00:45:52] I think there's more to this towel guy than,

[00:45:55] and he,

[00:45:55] he didn't stick around to find out.

[00:45:57] I mean,

[00:45:58] what would shock me the most is if it turns out that towel guy is her boyfriend at this point.

[00:46:04] Yeah.

[00:46:04] It could be that too.

[00:46:05] But regardless,

[00:46:06] it's like,

[00:46:06] man,

[00:46:07] it kind of sucks for chosen.

[00:46:08] At least right now.

[00:46:10] He's taking it really hard.

[00:46:11] I mean,

[00:46:12] it's taking it very hard.

[00:46:13] His obsession may be a little bit on the.

[00:46:17] He's a therapist.

[00:46:18] Yeah.

[00:46:19] Even when they show that montage of them all sleeping,

[00:46:22] you know,

[00:46:23] and,

[00:46:23] um,

[00:46:24] Kumbiko snoring and Johnny's annoyed.

[00:46:26] And then in his sleep,

[00:46:27] I'm not Kumbiko.

[00:46:28] Uh,

[00:46:29] chosen is snoring and Johnny's annoyed.

[00:46:31] And then in his sleep chosen goes,

[00:46:33] Kumbiko.

[00:46:34] Here we go.

[00:46:35] Kumbiko.

[00:46:36] Next to a bunch of little,

[00:46:37] those courtesy bottles of alcohol that he drank.

[00:46:41] Oh man,

[00:46:42] that's going to cost a fortune.

[00:46:45] Johnny was upset.

[00:46:47] Daniel won't like that at all.

[00:46:53] Yeah.

[00:46:54] So I hope,

[00:46:54] I hope we get a little bit more of that story too.

[00:46:58] Maybe they'll clear that up in the next five episodes.

[00:47:00] Maybe.

[00:47:01] I hope it doesn't last too long,

[00:47:03] but.

[00:47:03] Yeah.

[00:47:04] I don't want to draw.

[00:47:04] I thought it was pretty funny.

[00:47:06] He shows up all wasted,

[00:47:07] big wide smile at the cocktail party.

[00:47:09] Me,

[00:47:09] I'll eat dough with his arms.

[00:47:12] And then he's smashing those plants everywhere.

[00:47:15] I mean,

[00:47:15] like,

[00:47:15] have you ever been that drunk?

[00:47:16] I've never been that drunk.

[00:47:19] If I was,

[00:47:20] I passed out before I could do that.

[00:47:21] Yeah.

[00:47:22] I guess,

[00:47:23] I mean,

[00:47:23] different people act differently and there's a lot of belligerent drunks,

[00:47:26] but I'm more of a silly and then pass out kind of a drunk.

[00:47:31] Yep.

[00:47:32] Yeah.

[00:47:33] Not destructive.

[00:47:34] Yeah.

[00:47:35] It's silly.

[00:47:35] And then I usually fall down a lot until I don't get back up.

[00:47:41] You don't run into cocktail parties and scream out someone's name and start smashing plants.

[00:47:46] Not that I,

[00:47:47] not that I recall.

[00:47:48] And no one's come back and said that I've done that.

[00:47:50] So I'll say no.

[00:47:52] Cocktail mixer.

[00:47:53] Have you ever been to a cocktail mixer?

[00:47:55] I don't think I ever have.

[00:47:57] Yeah.

[00:47:58] Yeah.

[00:47:59] It's just a party.

[00:48:01] Yeah.

[00:48:01] I mean,

[00:48:02] this one was about networking.

[00:48:04] I feel like between sponsors and,

[00:48:07] you know,

[00:48:07] coaches or whatever.

[00:48:10] I've been to those,

[00:48:12] but there was no cocktails.

[00:48:16] Johnny says he'll be okay.

[00:48:17] As soon as he gets some Spanish chimichangas in him.

[00:48:26] Always count on Johnny to have some good.

[00:48:28] He had a couple of good lines.

[00:48:30] Didn't he?

[00:48:31] Yeah.

[00:48:32] It's my turn,

[00:48:33] right?

[00:48:33] So I got my next one is funny stuff.

[00:48:37] Maybe we can take turns.

[00:48:38] Do you guys have lines too?

[00:48:39] I have the one.

[00:48:41] I have one.

[00:48:42] I'll do one.

[00:48:42] When Hawk says to Dimitri,

[00:48:45] you fart in your sleep.

[00:48:46] And he goes erroneous.

[00:48:48] And he who observed it served it,

[00:48:49] by the way.

[00:48:50] I just thought that was kind of funny.

[00:48:52] Yeah.

[00:48:52] So,

[00:48:53] so who farted in bed during the bed scene?

[00:48:56] That's a big mystery.

[00:48:57] Nobody owned it.

[00:48:58] It was Hawk because he's the first one to say something,

[00:49:00] right?

[00:49:01] He smelt it,

[00:49:02] dealt it.

[00:49:02] Oh yeah.

[00:49:03] Yeah.

[00:49:04] You're probably right.

[00:49:05] I betcha.

[00:49:07] What was yours?

[00:49:08] Rich?

[00:49:09] When Johnny was on the phone,

[00:49:10] he called down to the courtesy desk because of the shower.

[00:49:13] And he's like,

[00:49:13] did you just call me a douche?

[00:49:15] Because the word for shower is ducha.

[00:49:18] Oh,

[00:49:20] I didn't catch that.

[00:49:22] I didn't catch that.

[00:49:23] That is amazing.

[00:49:24] So he's like,

[00:49:25] yeah,

[00:49:25] I'm complaining about the shower.

[00:49:26] He's like,

[00:49:26] what's the word for shower?

[00:49:28] And then he's all,

[00:49:28] did you just call me a douche?

[00:49:32] Uh,

[00:49:33] I'm so glad you looked that up or knew that.

[00:49:35] It's good.

[00:49:36] So funny.

[00:49:38] Rima,

[00:49:38] did you have any?

[00:49:40] No,

[00:49:41] no funny lines.

[00:49:42] No.

[00:49:42] Okay.

[00:49:43] I had a few.

[00:49:44] I thought it was,

[00:49:45] I just thought it was great that Johnny and Daniel had to be roommates.

[00:49:49] Yeah.

[00:49:49] The odd couple.

[00:49:51] Um,

[00:49:52] when Daniel's worried that Johnny's going to try something with crease and get them expelled

[00:49:56] from the tournament.

[00:49:58] And,

[00:49:59] um,

[00:49:59] Daniel says,

[00:50:00] you just concentrate on holding it together with crease.

[00:50:03] And Johnny says,

[00:50:04] please.

[00:50:05] I'm not the one who punched out silver at a charity event.

[00:50:07] I shoved him and he flopped.

[00:50:09] It wasn't.

[00:50:10] How do you even know about that?

[00:50:12] I laughed at that.

[00:50:14] But Johnny has a good point.

[00:50:15] Cause Daniel's always moralizing about Johnny flying off the handle,

[00:50:18] but Daniel's flown off the handle himself a couple of times.

[00:50:21] Like when he punched Johnny in the face,

[00:50:22] he almost did just then in this episode.

[00:50:25] I mean,

[00:50:26] I was gonna say he,

[00:50:27] he almost did it.

[00:50:28] It's it's.

[00:50:28] And I,

[00:50:29] and I pointed out all the time because Daniel always wants to act a little high handed

[00:50:33] about,

[00:50:34] you know,

[00:50:34] being a little moral superior over Johnny.

[00:50:37] And I'm like,

[00:50:37] dude,

[00:50:38] you can be just as aggressive.

[00:50:39] If not more sometimes than,

[00:50:41] than Johnny.

[00:50:42] And he,

[00:50:42] yeah,

[00:50:42] like you said,

[00:50:43] Rich,

[00:50:43] he,

[00:50:44] you know,

[00:50:44] he,

[00:50:44] he started to kind of get fired up when crease was threatening him.

[00:50:48] Like,

[00:50:49] I identify with Daniel in that I know better,

[00:50:54] but I don't always do better.

[00:50:56] Whereas Johnny doesn't know any better.

[00:51:00] That's true.

[00:51:02] That's why he's always a hothead.

[00:51:05] Yeah.

[00:51:06] Everybody was a hothead in this episode.

[00:51:08] They should,

[00:51:08] they should call it this sockeye hothead guy tournament tournament or something.

[00:51:13] Yeah.

[00:51:14] A lot of feelings.

[00:51:16] I already said this one,

[00:51:17] but Daniel's like,

[00:51:18] if you don't,

[00:51:19] if you talk to any sponsors,

[00:51:21] just make sure.

[00:51:22] And Johnny goes,

[00:51:22] yeah,

[00:51:23] I know.

[00:51:23] Miyagi-do pride.

[00:51:24] Don't be a dumb American.

[00:51:25] I got it.

[00:51:26] I'll be fine.

[00:51:27] As soon as I get some Spanish chimichangas.

[00:51:33] And then when he was doing the nunchucks pretty well,

[00:51:36] by the way,

[00:51:37] I,

[00:51:37] that was.

[00:51:38] Yeah.

[00:51:38] William Zabka showing off his skills there.

[00:51:40] Uh,

[00:51:41] and then the merch guys,

[00:51:43] like all the sick high tech high champions use and stand by these products.

[00:51:46] Most emotions towards some images of the kids using him on a big poster on the wall or whatever.

[00:51:52] Johnny says,

[00:51:53] these are models.

[00:51:54] I got web way better looking kids at my dojo.

[00:51:56] Let me show you some photos.

[00:51:59] And guys like,

[00:52:00] that's not really criteria.

[00:52:01] The sponsorship opportunities are for champions.

[00:52:04] Oh yeah.

[00:52:04] What is that?

[00:52:05] 50 bucks a day opportunity to do some skin flicks.

[00:52:08] Cause I went down that modeling road.

[00:52:09] It leads to nowhere.

[00:52:10] Good.

[00:52:12] Which we've seen pictures of him looking all hammy with his big eighties hair and no shirt on oiled up.

[00:52:20] Yeah.

[00:52:22] That's funny.

[00:52:24] Uh,

[00:52:24] that's all the funny lines I had.

[00:52:27] You didn't have any more points,

[00:52:29] Rima,

[00:52:29] except for notes.

[00:52:31] Nope.

[00:52:31] That's,

[00:52:32] that's all that I have.

[00:52:33] Rich.

[00:52:35] That,

[00:52:35] that,

[00:52:35] you know,

[00:52:36] that bedroom sleeping scene.

[00:52:38] I thought that was pretty funny.

[00:52:39] It gave me a,

[00:52:40] it gave me like a John Hughes eighties feel to it with everyone tossing and turning all the kids,

[00:52:45] you know,

[00:52:45] probably the song and playing an old 80 song.

[00:52:47] Yeah.

[00:52:48] Probably the song.

[00:52:48] I thought it worked really well.

[00:52:50] I don't know why,

[00:52:50] but I really,

[00:52:51] really liked that.

[00:52:52] Yeah.

[00:52:53] Kind of summarized everyone's anxiousness.

[00:52:55] Mm hmm.

[00:52:55] And it was like about anxiousness for some,

[00:52:59] and also just about them being annoyed that they had to sleep all in one room because they lost a room and different things,

[00:53:07] you know?

[00:53:07] And then Quan with his little smile getting a good night's sleep.

[00:53:11] Yeah.

[00:53:11] That was funny.

[00:53:13] All right.

[00:53:14] I got a care in the world.

[00:53:15] I got a few more.

[00:53:16] I got some callbacks.

[00:53:17] Um,

[00:53:18] Daniel and Johnny talking about crease and Johnny says,

[00:53:21] you don't have to worry about that.

[00:53:23] Mark my words.

[00:53:23] Crease is a dead man.

[00:53:25] And Daniel said,

[00:53:26] Oh,

[00:53:26] that's going to solve all our problems.

[00:53:28] And I,

[00:53:29] that's just such a big theme in karate kid about the degree to which violence can solve problems.

[00:53:35] And it occurred to me,

[00:53:36] they talk about problems being solved with violence a few times in the karate kid movies.

[00:53:42] Just a couple of examples.

[00:53:43] When Daniel's upset about having to move to California and karate kid far away from his friends and then getting bullied at his new school.

[00:53:50] And he says,

[00:53:51] I got to take karate.

[00:53:52] And his mom says,

[00:53:53] fighting doesn't solve anything.

[00:53:54] And he goes,

[00:53:55] yeah,

[00:53:55] well,

[00:53:56] neither does palm trees.

[00:53:57] So there's that.

[00:53:59] And then at the tournament,

[00:54:00] Miyagi says,

[00:54:02] win,

[00:54:02] lose,

[00:54:03] no matter.

[00:54:03] You make good fight,

[00:54:04] earn respect.

[00:54:04] Then nobody bother.

[00:54:06] And Daniel says,

[00:54:07] yeah,

[00:54:07] or they'll bury me where I fall.

[00:54:09] And Miyagi says,

[00:54:09] either way,

[00:54:10] problem solved,

[00:54:12] which I liked.

[00:54:14] Um,

[00:54:15] when Daniel tells Johnny,

[00:54:16] if they let crease get into their heads,

[00:54:18] they've already lost.

[00:54:19] And Johnny says,

[00:54:19] we're not losing.

[00:54:20] I'm taking him out of commission.

[00:54:21] That's right from the tournament and karate kid.

[00:54:25] When,

[00:54:26] um,

[00:54:26] Daniel is up in the quarterfinals to fight Bobby and crease pulls him aside and says,

[00:54:33] I want him out of commission.

[00:54:35] So it's like,

[00:54:36] that's when Bobby kicked Daniel in the leg and injured him.

[00:54:40] And so when Johnny's afraid,

[00:54:42] I guess he reverts back to the ruthless Cobra Kai way of thinking.

[00:54:48] Um,

[00:54:49] yeah,

[00:54:50] I guess that's all I had.

[00:54:50] And then I had a point about crease,

[00:54:52] um,

[00:54:53] where he confronts Johnny and he says,

[00:54:56] I've always taken it easy on you.

[00:54:58] Cause I had a soft spot for you,

[00:54:59] but things change.

[00:55:00] Now I'm going to show you what the true definition of no mercy is.

[00:55:03] I just thought that was a great threat because no mercy is,

[00:55:08] the Cobra Kai saying,

[00:55:09] and now he's threatening to like,

[00:55:10] I'm really going to show you what that's about.

[00:55:12] Yeah,

[00:55:13] me too.

[00:55:14] In fact,

[00:55:14] that was my last point because he was,

[00:55:16] uh,

[00:55:16] I mean,

[00:55:16] this last thing that I had written.

[00:55:17] Oh,

[00:55:17] I didn't know you had another point.

[00:55:18] No,

[00:55:18] no,

[00:55:18] no,

[00:55:18] I didn't mean point.

[00:55:19] I mean,

[00:55:19] it was just like the last note I had was,

[00:55:21] was that.

[00:55:22] And then he followed that up with,

[00:55:24] he paints himself as a man with nothing to lose,

[00:55:27] which is like the most dangerous kind of guy.

[00:55:29] So it's like,

[00:55:30] Oh shit.

[00:55:32] And so,

[00:55:33] and threatened Daniel,

[00:55:34] like you have a lot to lose.

[00:55:35] Yeah.

[00:55:36] No,

[00:55:36] that's the whole thing with Daniel.

[00:55:37] He's built up this whole business and family and everything.

[00:55:40] Yeah.

[00:55:40] I didn't catch that until the second watch through,

[00:55:42] but then I was like,

[00:55:42] Oh,

[00:55:43] Hey,

[00:55:44] now we're getting serious.

[00:55:45] Another interesting thing about that.

[00:55:47] Chris said to Johnny self-defense takes many forms,

[00:55:51] Johnny,

[00:55:51] but you already know that because after all you're Miyagi-Do.

[00:55:55] And I wasn't sure exactly what he meant by that at first,

[00:55:57] but it seemed like an insult,

[00:55:59] you know,

[00:55:59] like you're a traitor or you're weak or something.

[00:56:01] But then when Daniel shows up to break it up between Chris and Johnny,

[00:56:06] Chris says,

[00:56:06] I was just telling your employee here that I would like to speak to his

[00:56:09] supervisor.

[00:56:10] So I think he's just rubbing into Johnny that he lost Cobra Kai.

[00:56:13] Yeah.

[00:56:14] And Chris has it now,

[00:56:15] you know,

[00:56:15] every single word that comes out of that man's mouth is an insult.

[00:56:19] Yeah.

[00:56:20] And he's got a smile on his face while I'm saying it.

[00:56:21] Um,

[00:56:22] but that exchange,

[00:56:24] I just feel more and more like I'm,

[00:56:27] my prediction is going to be right.

[00:56:28] That Johnny will have Cobra Kai back by the end of this.

[00:56:31] At least I hope so.

[00:56:32] Yeah.

[00:56:33] Something's going to go down too,

[00:56:34] between Chris and Johnny,

[00:56:36] I think.

[00:56:38] Yeah,

[00:56:39] there has to be,

[00:56:40] there's gotta be a resolution.

[00:56:41] There's gotta be something.

[00:56:42] Eventually.

[00:56:42] Yeah.

[00:56:43] Yeah.

[00:56:43] Yeah.

[00:56:43] I bet you,

[00:56:44] I don't know.

[00:56:44] Well,

[00:56:45] do I bet?

[00:56:45] What do I bet?

[00:56:46] I don't bet anything.

[00:56:47] I don't know what the hell's going to happen.

[00:56:48] I don't know.

[00:56:48] Cause I had always thought,

[00:56:50] Oh,

[00:56:50] they'll probably try to humanize Chris like they did everyone else,

[00:56:54] but I'm not so sure.

[00:56:55] Well,

[00:56:56] I feel like they tried to do that already with previous seasons with the

[00:56:59] flashbacks and,

[00:57:00] you know,

[00:57:01] things like that.

[00:57:02] It seemed like that's where they were going with the whole prison story,

[00:57:04] but it turned out he was faking it with his therapist.

[00:57:08] Yeah.

[00:57:09] I was thinking maybe I was thinking for briefly there that they might have to

[00:57:15] solve it here in Barcelona.

[00:57:17] Cause will he be able to get back into the U S I don't know.

[00:57:21] But if he's right,

[00:57:23] he's telling the truth that they dropped the charge.

[00:57:25] Yeah.

[00:57:25] I think he is.

[00:57:26] I suppose.

[00:57:26] Yeah.

[00:57:28] Yeah.

[00:57:28] And that's like,

[00:57:29] that's,

[00:57:29] that's a six year thing too.

[00:57:31] So they got it.

[00:57:32] It's gotta be one of the last things to be resolved.

[00:57:35] It's the whole,

[00:57:36] it's a 35 year thing.

[00:57:37] Yeah.

[00:57:41] Long time coming.

[00:57:43] All right.

[00:57:44] Do you have any notes,

[00:57:45] Ruma?

[00:57:45] I just have one that we haven't already touched on.

[00:57:49] It's just kind of something funny that,

[00:57:51] you know,

[00:57:51] you've got all this teen drama going on,

[00:57:54] right?

[00:57:54] With all the,

[00:57:55] all the kids and,

[00:57:57] and the kids in the dojos.

[00:57:58] But then we've got Johnny who has made an enemy because they've taken the

[00:58:03] last piece of steak.

[00:58:04] And it just was funny to me.

[00:58:07] And I'm like,

[00:58:09] this is,

[00:58:10] this is,

[00:58:10] this is where you decide to throw down over a piece of steak.

[00:58:14] Like with the worst guy,

[00:58:16] with the worst guy,

[00:58:17] your enemy.

[00:58:19] Just based on when that girl looked at,

[00:58:22] uh,

[00:58:23] Tori and she was like,

[00:58:26] admiring Robbie and said,

[00:58:28] Ooh,

[00:58:28] some of the guys here are hot.

[00:58:29] And then recognize,

[00:58:30] Oh wait,

[00:58:31] you guys already have a thing.

[00:58:32] It just made me think,

[00:58:34] and this is maybe reading into one little moment too much,

[00:58:36] but that she's just a cool girl.

[00:58:39] Who's a really good at karate,

[00:58:41] not like this evil person or something,

[00:58:43] you know,

[00:58:44] and maybe their whole team is like that.

[00:58:45] They're just very disciplined and talented,

[00:58:47] but they're not like bad people.

[00:58:49] That would be the final insult.

[00:58:52] Yeah.

[00:58:53] Yeah.

[00:58:53] I don't,

[00:58:53] I don't know that they're,

[00:58:54] I think they're hyper focused and I think they're well disciplined.

[00:58:58] And I think just based off of their sensei,

[00:59:02] because he told Johnny,

[00:59:03] he's like,

[00:59:04] uh,

[00:59:05] well,

[00:59:05] I think I'm entitled to this,

[00:59:07] you know,

[00:59:08] second,

[00:59:08] second piece of steak.

[00:59:10] So,

[00:59:10] you know,

[00:59:10] he's already saying like,

[00:59:12] he's,

[00:59:12] I can take his whatever I want.

[00:59:15] Yeah.

[00:59:15] Very,

[00:59:15] you know,

[00:59:16] so I don't mean it necessarily like it's a bad guy or anything,

[00:59:19] but I definitely do feel like they're confident in their skills for sure.

[00:59:23] And you could tell how confident they were.

[00:59:25] I mean,

[00:59:25] when the,

[00:59:25] when that whole front line got up and moved out of the way for their captains to be able to,

[00:59:31] to take them on when the whole point is to protect the captains.

[00:59:33] I mean,

[00:59:34] that shows a level of confidence that no one else seemed to have.

[00:59:37] Right.

[00:59:38] And just the style of movement.

[00:59:41] Yeah.

[00:59:42] That the body language,

[00:59:43] it was together as one and just very confident.

[00:59:49] And I think,

[00:59:50] um,

[00:59:51] that's one thing.

[00:59:52] Mike,

[00:59:52] Nico has been in Kung Fu since he was five years old and he's 13 now.

[00:59:57] And one reason why I like to have him in there is because it's a movement practice and it's just good to have a thing that you do regularly,

[01:00:05] where you have a sense of your body.

[01:00:07] I just feel like movement can be really important in making you feel grounded and centered and confident and everything.

[01:00:13] Totally.

[01:00:14] We have a couple of friends,

[01:00:15] you know,

[01:00:16] uh,

[01:00:16] Spencer did,

[01:00:17] uh,

[01:00:18] Aikido and Dan did take one dough and they all,

[01:00:20] uh,

[01:00:20] swear by,

[01:00:21] you know,

[01:00:22] the,

[01:00:22] the,

[01:00:22] it's,

[01:00:23] it's a good,

[01:00:23] it's a good thing.

[01:00:25] Physically and mentally.

[01:00:26] I like to sit firmly in my chair every day for several hours.

[01:00:30] Yeah.

[01:00:31] It's my practice.

[01:00:32] Work my right arm,

[01:00:34] my left arm with a couple of 12 ounce cans,

[01:00:36] you know,

[01:00:39] uh,

[01:00:40] rich,

[01:00:41] any notes?

[01:00:42] No,

[01:00:42] I'm,

[01:00:43] I'm minor exhausted.

[01:00:45] Okay.

[01:00:45] I only had a couple,

[01:00:47] just some predictions that I'm hoping Johnny gets Cobra Kai back.

[01:00:51] Uh,

[01:00:52] there's a lot of talk about sponsorships.

[01:00:54] And I think that's related to the storylines we saw earlier about the kids and which colleges they're going to go to or hoping to go to.

[01:01:03] So this isn't really much of a prediction,

[01:01:06] but I just think that's going to be a big part of how this ends up,

[01:01:09] which colleges people end up going to.

[01:01:12] That's going to be the resolution to the kids stories or,

[01:01:14] or don't,

[01:01:15] you know,

[01:01:15] and I,

[01:01:16] Dimitri is being so insufferable.

[01:01:18] Keep mentioning that he's going to MIT and I know the physics and all that.

[01:01:21] But,

[01:01:22] um,

[01:01:22] that makes me wonder if Hawk will be,

[01:01:24] end up going to MIT and Dimitri won't or,

[01:01:27] but if they are considering a spinoff with those two,

[01:01:31] maybe they would want to have them in the same place.

[01:01:32] So I don't know.

[01:01:34] Man,

[01:01:34] a lot of spinoff talk,

[01:01:35] huh?

[01:01:37] Yeah.

[01:01:38] Yeah.

[01:01:38] Series is ending.

[01:01:39] Um,

[01:01:40] it would be sad to me to have just the kids and not the adults in a show.

[01:01:44] I would,

[01:01:45] I would be less interested in that.

[01:01:46] I'd be interested in the Miyagi.

[01:01:49] Yeah.

[01:01:49] Me too.

[01:01:50] Spinoff,

[01:01:50] but I don't know about the kids.

[01:01:52] Yeah.

[01:01:53] Um,

[01:01:54] and then last,

[01:01:55] the episode was dedicated to Chad McQueen who plays Dutch at the end,

[01:02:01] who passed away earlier this year at only 63,

[01:02:04] way too young to go.

[01:02:06] Um,

[01:02:06] that was sad,

[01:02:07] but I'm glad they put that in there.

[01:02:08] And I still,

[01:02:10] I don't know if I'd say I feel like,

[01:02:12] but at least hold out hope that they did film something with him and that we will see him in an episode.

[01:02:21] I don't know.

[01:02:22] One thing that makes me suspect that is,

[01:02:25] well,

[01:02:25] two things.

[01:02:25] They mentioned Dutch earlier this season.

[01:02:28] Yeah.

[01:02:28] I forget what the context was,

[01:02:29] but they brought him up.

[01:02:30] And when Chad McQueen died,

[01:02:33] William Zabka posted something really nice about him.

[01:02:35] I should have mentioned that in this podcast because I don't know if we read that before,

[01:02:38] but anyway,

[01:02:39] it was really sweet.

[01:02:40] And he said that he'd had a chance to spend some time with him recently,

[01:02:43] which makes me think,

[01:02:44] Oh,

[01:02:45] were you on a film set or what?

[01:02:47] Wow.

[01:02:48] You know,

[01:02:49] blues clues.

[01:03:19] We got a couple of calls for this one.

[01:03:22] Good old Mike Caruso called in.

[01:03:24] Let's hear what he's got to say.

[01:03:26] Hey guys,

[01:03:28] Mikey C back again,

[01:03:29] this time to talk about Cobra Kai season six,

[01:03:32] episode six.

[01:03:33] I'm going to attempt to say it.

[01:03:36] Benvingits a Barcelona.

[01:03:37] I probably butchered that,

[01:03:38] but we're back again.

[01:03:40] And it really seems like we've just got utter chaos.

[01:03:43] Within the Miyagi-Do ranks,

[01:03:46] like all the kids almost basically,

[01:03:48] is it everybody except for Lee?

[01:03:50] It kind of is.

[01:03:50] But even Lee's got a little something going on.

[01:03:53] Everybody's distracted in one way or the other.

[01:03:56] And the kids are just not on their best game at all.

[01:03:59] Kind of feel for him a little bit because they're going through some relatable shit.

[01:04:05] It kind of seems like,

[01:04:06] but man,

[01:04:07] they're just,

[01:04:07] it seems like they're just getting broken down further and more and more divided.

[01:04:11] And it looks like we're going to hit like a low point and then eventually start to build back up,

[01:04:18] find our footing,

[01:04:20] hopefully kick some ass in this tournament.

[01:04:22] But man,

[01:04:23] there's a lot going on.

[01:04:23] I really enjoyed the mixer scene.

[01:04:26] It was pretty funny at times,

[01:04:28] especially once Chosen got in there.

[01:04:31] Man,

[01:04:32] it's amazing how these full-grown adult men just could not help themselves from acting like children.

[01:04:38] Gotta love it.

[01:04:39] Pretty true to real life too,

[01:04:41] I'd say.

[01:04:42] But finally we get to this Sekai Taikai and we just hit the ground running.

[01:04:47] It kind of reminded me of,

[01:04:48] if you'll allow me to be nerdy for a second,

[01:04:51] in late Dragon Ball when Goku comes back to life and they're going to do the Budokai Tenkaichi tournament

[01:04:58] and Goku and Vegeta get pitted against each other in the first round.

[01:05:02] And it's like,

[01:05:03] oh,

[01:05:03] okay,

[01:05:03] we're doing the final event first then,

[01:05:05] are we?

[01:05:05] And here we are doing the exact same thing.

[01:05:36] It's like,

[01:05:37] only one will be left standing.

[01:05:39] But it was like,

[01:05:39] going into it,

[01:05:40] I thought,

[01:05:41] okay,

[01:05:41] we're going to narrow these groups of four dojos down to just one.

[01:05:47] The other three will get eliminated,

[01:05:49] you know,

[01:05:49] so we'll go down to a quarter of the participants right off the bat.

[01:05:52] I'm getting the sense that since the two dojos that we are like invested in to some degree

[01:05:57] get knocked out right off the bat,

[01:05:59] that they're not knocked out of the tournament,

[01:06:01] you know?

[01:06:01] They're not knocked out of the tournament.

[01:06:03] Ugh,

[01:06:03] try saying that 10 times fast.

[01:06:05] Um,

[01:06:05] but yeah,

[01:06:06] that was like,

[01:06:07] I was like watching it like,

[01:06:08] oh shit,

[01:06:08] what,

[01:06:09] what?

[01:06:10] Like,

[01:06:10] you know,

[01:06:10] but I don't,

[01:06:11] I don't think they're knocked out obviously.

[01:06:12] Um,

[01:06:13] but yeah,

[01:06:13] that kind of threw me for a loop watching it and,

[01:06:16] kind of love that the,

[01:06:18] that the one,

[01:06:19] um,

[01:06:20] uh,

[01:06:20] a sensei that,

[01:06:21] that,

[01:06:22] uh,

[01:06:22] Johnny kind of tangled up with at the mixer,

[01:06:24] uh,

[01:06:24] ends up being the sensei here.

[01:06:25] And,

[01:06:26] um,

[01:06:26] and,

[01:06:27] and yeah,

[01:06:27] they kind of kicked ass,

[01:06:28] uh,

[01:06:29] a little bit of,

[01:06:29] uh,

[01:06:30] rivalry maybe between,

[01:06:31] uh,

[01:06:31] Tori and,

[01:06:32] and the girl fighter there.

[01:06:33] Uh,

[01:06:34] but yeah,

[01:06:34] so far off to a great start.

[01:06:36] Uh,

[01:06:36] like I said,

[01:06:36] we hit the ground running and,

[01:06:38] um,

[01:06:38] really enjoying it so far.

[01:06:39] Can't wait to hear what you guys have to say about it and see what else we've got to look forward to.

[01:06:45] See you next week,

[01:06:46] guys.

[01:06:46] Stay badass.

[01:06:48] Nice.

[01:06:49] I love that.

[01:06:50] But yeah,

[01:06:51] I guess I was feeling like that at first too.

[01:06:54] Like,

[01:06:54] whoa,

[01:06:54] whoa,

[01:06:55] wait,

[01:06:55] they're just going to be eliminated.

[01:06:56] What,

[01:06:56] what,

[01:06:56] what?

[01:06:56] So that's why I wanted to really key in on the second time and say,

[01:07:00] what is going on here?

[01:07:01] And it's all about the points.

[01:07:02] So they,

[01:07:03] they got lower points or no points,

[01:07:06] but they're still in it.

[01:07:07] Yeah.

[01:07:07] Yeah.

[01:07:10] All right.

[01:07:11] And we got one more call from Jim Pete.

[01:07:14] Hey there,

[01:07:14] Richard Rima and Jason.

[01:07:16] This is Jim from Raleigh,

[01:07:18] uh,

[01:07:18] sending in a voicemail for season six.

[01:07:21] Episode six,

[01:07:22] Ben Vingets of Barcelona.

[01:07:25] And my initial reaction,

[01:07:26] having just finished it is that I absolutely loved it.

[01:07:29] I mean,

[01:07:29] there are,

[01:07:29] there are gaps in this episode.

[01:07:31] I think that I've,

[01:07:32] I've had a problems on the right word that I've struggled with throughout the

[01:07:35] season,

[01:07:36] but it's clear they're trying to cram a whole bunch in their final season to

[01:07:40] get where,

[01:07:41] wherever they're going with this.

[01:07:42] And I,

[01:07:43] so I'm okay with those little gaps.

[01:07:45] I mean,

[01:07:45] look,

[01:07:45] karate kid for me is the underdog story and tournaments.

[01:07:50] And seeing the underdog overcome.

[01:07:52] And we've got two teams,

[01:07:54] we've got Cobra Kai and we've got Miyagi dough.

[01:07:56] Of course,

[01:07:57] we're supposed to be in the corner of Miyagi dough in this,

[01:07:59] but now we've got Tori over Cobra Kai.

[01:08:02] And I really,

[01:08:03] I mean,

[01:08:04] then of course they throw in iron dragons,

[01:08:06] which was not something that I saw coming.

[01:08:09] So I loved the end sequence,

[01:08:11] the captain's war,

[01:08:12] which sort of mirrors the egg thing that they did at Miyagi dough.

[01:08:16] Yeah.

[01:08:16] And to see them get kind of cremated by these other two teams was kind of

[01:08:22] where they were leading us to think was going to happen because the team's

[01:08:26] completely dissent.

[01:08:29] There's dissension in that team right now because of Tori.

[01:08:33] Um,

[01:08:34] I love the Tori storyline.

[01:08:37] She's not been a character.

[01:08:38] I've been too fond of throughout the series,

[01:08:39] but to see her kind of grounded here and the most sensible of all of them where she's

[01:08:45] not reacting to Miyagi dough.

[01:08:47] She's just like,

[01:08:48] I need time and I didn't know what to do.

[01:08:50] So I'm doing this.

[01:08:50] I'm not sure it was the right thing to do.

[01:08:52] And the hell with Miyagi dough.

[01:08:54] Like they kind of screwed her over in episode five by letting her walk away.

[01:08:59] And,

[01:09:00] and you know,

[01:09:00] I haven't rewatched the first part like I wanted to before I could get this in,

[01:09:04] but I'm angry at them and there's dissension there.

[01:09:08] And I liked the dissension.

[01:09:09] Robbie sort of took the lead with the team and Miguel is kind of lost right now because

[01:09:13] he's not the captain.

[01:09:15] And you have Devin who is struggling with the lie.

[01:09:19] Uh,

[01:09:20] and she,

[01:09:20] she got knocked out early,

[01:09:22] but I do like how things are set up.

[01:09:24] And even the Miyagi storyline that I didn't like,

[01:09:27] in part one,

[01:09:29] I'm interested.

[01:09:32] Why is Miyagi tied to the Sekai Takai?

[01:09:36] So I'm kind of curious about how this all plays out.

[01:09:39] I absolutely loved the first episode.

[01:09:41] And even though there's too many storylines going on,

[01:09:44] I think that'll be fun watching them try to untangle everything.

[01:09:47] So I'm going to leave it right there.

[01:09:48] I can't wait to hear the podcast when you guys post it.

[01:09:51] And I just don't know if I'm going to wait that long to follow with you guys,

[01:09:54] because I kind of want to know what,

[01:09:57] what happens.

[01:09:58] Um,

[01:09:59] so thanks.

[01:10:00] Uh,

[01:10:00] yeah.

[01:10:00] Part,

[01:10:00] part one of episode one of part two.

[01:10:04] I really liked.

[01:10:04] So onto the next.

[01:10:06] Nice.

[01:10:07] He told me he just got done with the,

[01:10:10] like a power walk or something,

[01:10:13] but he,

[01:10:14] that also might like Jim,

[01:10:16] um,

[01:10:17] Jim is one of our podcasters too.

[01:10:20] He's a friend and a podcaster and he's been doing Agatha all along with Penny

[01:10:24] and they've been great on there.

[01:10:27] Really great.

[01:10:28] Like if you,

[01:10:28] I wasn't so sure I was into that show,

[01:10:30] but I listened to an episode of theirs and they really got me into it.

[01:10:33] But anyway,

[01:10:34] um,

[01:10:35] I had asked just like a couple hours ago,

[01:10:37] Hey,

[01:10:38] first can thank you,

[01:10:40] Mike.

[01:10:40] You're,

[01:10:41] you're our super fan.

[01:10:42] You've been calling in almost every episode and we love you for it.

[01:10:47] And then part B,

[01:10:49] what about everybody else?

[01:10:51] Come on guys.

[01:10:52] We're almost done with this show and man,

[01:10:55] I love this show and it's been so much fun podcasting.

[01:10:58] And I just think it would be really cool if you guys are engaged with it,

[01:11:02] that you want to write in and let us know your thoughts as we come to the end

[01:11:04] here.

[01:11:05] If you don't want to,

[01:11:05] it's okay.

[01:11:06] But,

[01:11:06] it's fun to,

[01:11:07] um,

[01:11:08] be engaged and stuff.

[01:11:09] I mean,

[01:11:09] I'm doing the,

[01:11:10] um,

[01:11:10] walking dead rewatch right now and we get a lot of great engagement in

[01:11:15] there.

[01:11:15] So if you guys have thoughts,

[01:11:16] you're running out of time to be a part of this podcast rather than just

[01:11:20] listening.

[01:11:21] If you want to,

[01:11:21] if you want to.

[01:11:22] Yeah.

[01:11:22] Now's the time.

[01:11:23] Well,

[01:11:23] it's fresh.

[01:11:24] Yeah.

[01:11:25] Yeah.

[01:11:33] And that is our show.

[01:11:35] So thanks so much for listening.

[01:11:36] Everybody next episode will be Cobra Kai season six,

[01:12:42] We've got a few going right now.

[01:12:44] Rima does strange indeed where she covers stranger things and a bunch of other

[01:12:48] Netflix shows.

[01:12:49] And right now they're covering great British baking show,

[01:12:52] which is such a great show.

[01:12:54] And if anybody by any chance needs some cheering up right about now for any

[01:12:58] reason,

[01:12:58] I don't know why,

[01:12:59] but maybe you should watch that show.

[01:13:02] Cause it,

[01:13:03] it will cheer you up.

[01:13:04] Makes me feel good.

[01:13:06] And when a penny just did a rings of power season to wrap up crossover with

[01:13:10] Derek and John of TV podcast industries,

[01:13:12] which I was so glad to see cause I love all those people.

[01:13:16] And yeah,

[01:13:17] so there's a couple of ones that you might be interested in.

[01:13:20] I need to watch that show.

[01:13:22] Good.

[01:13:22] Ring the power.

[01:13:24] So good.

[01:13:25] All right.

[01:13:26] That is our show.

[01:13:27] Thanks for listening.

[01:13:33] God.

[01:13:34] You say,

[01:13:35] do you smelt it rich?

[01:13:36] Hmm.

[01:13:38] You smelt it.

[01:13:39] You dealt it.

[01:13:40] He who rhymes did the crime.
