[00:00:00] Hmm? Ah! Hmm.
[00:00:04] Run for Your Lives Podcast
[00:00:06] You're listening to the Run For Your Lives Podcast
[00:00:10] Hey everyone, welcome to the show. I'm Daphne.
[00:00:36] And I'm Pake.
[00:00:37] And this is the Run For Your Lives Podcast.
[00:00:42] This episode we're doing something, usually when we do special episodes I say a little bit different, but no, this is a lot bit different.
[00:00:50] Uh, very different.
[00:00:52] Uh, in a way that this week has been like super hectic and tiring and busy, at least for me.
[00:00:59] Uh, and so Daphne took the reins on this one to do something very different that I didn't have to do much work at all.
[00:01:08] Uh, but, those who don't know, over this, you know, full like seven, eight seasons, whatever it's been now, a hundred plus plus episodes that we have done.
[00:01:21] Daphne has been, not so secretly, compiling and holding on to a lot, all of the audio files and stuff that we've cut out and things that we've removed or redone and all of that.
[00:01:33] And so we figured we'd let you peek behind that curtain a little bit and show you some outtakes, bloopers, alt takes, things like that, that we've, we've got from since the very first episode of the show that going all the way back to the first season, just little bits and pieces that some are funny.
[00:01:54] Some are just kind of like, you know, us joking around between, you know, before recording or during and just stuff that's been taken out that Daphne has held onto.
[00:02:04] Uh, the real fun part for me is I don't know what she has decided to compile for this episode.
[00:02:10] It's, she'll probably set it up and we might talk about some stuff, but I'm, as of right now, I'm completely unaware of anything that she's going to play and we'll talk about.
[00:02:19] So I'm curious.
[00:02:21] We'll see.
[00:02:23] Well, as you said,
[00:02:24] this is season eight, 189 episodes.
[00:02:28] It's pretty crazy to think that we've recorded that many, but yes, I have been saving some things up.
[00:02:35] Just a few things.
[00:02:37] There's a lot of little mistakes and silly bloopers that happen.
[00:02:43] So I did put all of this together.
[00:02:46] Reminds me of when you did that whole AI centered episode a while back and I didn't have to do anything.
[00:02:52] You just said, trust me.
[00:02:54] And I trusted you.
[00:02:55] And that's what you brought.
[00:02:56] And it was great.
[00:02:59] I'm not sure how you'll feel about this one because I realized that a lot of the bloopers are yours.
[00:03:05] There are some that are attributed to me, but many, many, many are yours because you...
[00:03:13] Talk way too much.
[00:03:15] Got it.
[00:03:15] No.
[00:03:17] You have funny little voices or little things that you do.
[00:03:23] And yeah.
[00:03:24] So that's what a lot of this is tied into.
[00:03:28] And I have quite a few clips.
[00:03:30] And if we get going and it's taking longer than I think it will, then we can split it up into multiple episodes.
[00:03:37] But we're going to start here with this first one.
[00:03:42] This was when you tried to introduce Insidious Chapter 3.
[00:03:50] So here we go.
[00:03:52] This episode we are talking about the supernatural horror film Insidious Chapter 3.
[00:03:58] Written and directed by Lee Wynel.
[00:04:00] Lee Wynel.
[00:04:01] Why what now?
[00:04:02] Lou new.
[00:04:03] What not know?
[00:04:04] Loudy.
[00:04:04] Loudy.
[00:04:05] Waddy.
[00:04:05] Hotty.
[00:04:05] Hotty.
[00:04:06] All right.
[00:04:07] That's his name weird.
[00:04:12] So, yeah.
[00:04:14] Those are the types of things that happen that I take out.
[00:04:19] I remember that one.
[00:04:21] Yep.
[00:04:21] I talk too fast sometimes.
[00:04:24] I tend to.
[00:04:25] I don't know.
[00:04:25] Maybe it's because I listen to all my podcasts on 1.5 speed that like now when recording them.
[00:04:30] I'm just like, this is what podcast I'm like.
[00:04:32] We got to talk really fast.
[00:04:34] And then I get tongue tied very easily.
[00:04:37] Yes.
[00:04:37] I do as well.
[00:04:38] So, yeah.
[00:04:40] Some of mine you'll definitely get to hear.
[00:04:44] So in this one, I'm just going to play it.
[00:04:48] It's from when we did Megan.
[00:04:52] This one is all me.
[00:04:54] Akilah Cooper.
[00:04:56] Akilah Cooper.
[00:04:58] The main accent came out big time, didn't it?
[00:05:02] Akilah Cooper.
[00:05:03] Super duper.
[00:05:05] Super duper.
[00:05:10] Sometimes when I get really tired, the main accent comes out real easy.
[00:05:15] And that night, Akilah Cooper, of course, was in Megan.
[00:05:21] And yeah, that was me.
[00:05:25] She was full blown Akilah Cooper that night.
[00:05:27] Yes.
[00:05:27] For a little bit.
[00:05:28] Yes.
[00:05:29] It just makes me think of Goomba or Koopa or something to do with Mario Kart or Mario.
[00:05:36] Yeah.
[00:05:36] Yeah.
[00:05:38] This episode, there's just dots in the thing.
[00:05:45] No, I'll do one better.
[00:05:48] I have the doc, so I have to read the doc the way that it is.
[00:05:50] I told you.
[00:05:51] I didn't do anything.
[00:05:52] It's blank.
[00:05:56] I think that was when we did that special episode.
[00:06:00] The one that I was just talking about.
[00:06:02] And I didn't put anything in there because I didn't know what you were doing.
[00:06:06] Yeah.
[00:06:06] Yeah.
[00:06:07] So.
[00:06:08] And I'm a smart ass most of the time.
[00:06:10] So if you type something into the doc that we're reading our introductions and plugs and
[00:06:16] all stuff off of, usually if there's something in there, I'll read it as written just because
[00:06:22] that's who I am.
[00:06:23] Yes.
[00:06:24] And I don't want you to ever change.
[00:06:29] This one is when you try to introduce Barbarian.
[00:06:33] All right.
[00:06:34] All right.
[00:06:34] We did.
[00:06:43] All right.
[00:06:44] I'm like a French sim.
[00:06:46] It's not actually French.
[00:06:48] Simlish is the best language.
[00:06:50] It's French simlish.
[00:06:51] I love the sims.
[00:06:59] They're so fun.
[00:07:00] Okay.
[00:07:01] All right.
[00:07:01] I don't know what that was.
[00:07:02] I started.
[00:07:03] I was like.
[00:07:03] Well, the English language.
[00:07:09] God, my brain is not working.
[00:07:10] All right.
[00:07:10] Oh, man.
[00:07:12] Try that again.
[00:07:14] Okay.
[00:07:14] First three words I have to say, which is, well, we have all came out as one word.
[00:07:18] Well, love me.
[00:07:23] All right.
[00:07:27] You can't see this.
[00:07:29] I'm just crying right now.
[00:07:31] Tears.
[00:07:32] Is that allowed?
[00:07:33] Am I allowed to laugh like that hard and like where tears are coming up at myself?
[00:07:38] I don't know if that's allowed, but I forgot.
[00:07:41] I blocked that out.
[00:07:42] I don't remember that ever happening.
[00:07:44] That's.
[00:07:46] Hey, we're allowed to do whatever we want on this podcast.
[00:07:50] We set that up way, way far ago.
[00:07:53] Oh, my God.
[00:07:57] Oh, it's like, I don't, I don't know if I'm allowed to find myself that funny.
[00:08:01] That seems a little.
[00:08:03] But I just, for me from the past to just crack future me up with French simlish again.
[00:08:11] Holy shit.
[00:08:14] It was even funnier because you said French simlish and that just made it continue on for a lot longer than usual.
[00:08:25] Okay.
[00:08:27] This one.
[00:08:28] Well, I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna play it.
[00:08:32] There we are.
[00:08:33] Audio file starts with a clap.
[00:08:36] I don't know why I do that.
[00:08:37] That's more for getting back on track, but it's fun.
[00:08:40] It is what it is.
[00:08:42] I don't know why I was Irish for that.
[00:08:45] But it is what it is.
[00:08:47] It is what it is.
[00:08:49] Oh, it is what it is.
[00:08:51] They're always after me lucky times.
[00:08:55] You know what I say?
[00:08:56] Why do you speak like that when you're not Irish at all?
[00:08:58] And I say, I don't know.
[00:09:01] I just do it.
[00:09:05] There's no real reason to it.
[00:09:06] It just happens.
[00:09:07] Well, that certainly illustrates the diversity of the word.
[00:09:12] Oh, God.
[00:09:12] That sounded like Maggie McFly from Back to the Future 3.
[00:09:15] I don't want to do that one again.
[00:09:17] That was right in front of him.
[00:09:18] Okay, I'm good.
[00:09:19] Yeah.
[00:09:22] Yeah, that was when we did Independence Day Resurgence.
[00:09:27] That was already that recent.
[00:09:29] I don't remember that.
[00:09:30] Again, it's crazy that my brain has shut so many of these out.
[00:09:35] I don't recall that conversation ever happening.
[00:09:39] And it wasn't even that long ago.
[00:09:41] That was like last season.
[00:09:42] Oh, no.
[00:09:44] Yeah.
[00:09:45] And I was a little worried.
[00:09:46] I was like, what is that voice?
[00:09:47] That's not me.
[00:09:48] I was like, oh, Ben.
[00:09:50] This one, you were trying to promote one of our favorite podcasts that we like to promote
[00:09:55] on Run for Our Lives.
[00:09:58] Yeah.
[00:10:00] Welcome to the Apocalypse.
[00:10:01] We've mentioned that before a lot.
[00:10:02] The improv comedy podcast with Randy and Elizabeth and Rob.
[00:10:11] Rob.
[00:10:12] Yeah.
[00:10:13] I get that.
[00:10:13] Yeah.
[00:10:13] The improv comedy podcast there with Randy and Elizabeth and Rob.
[00:10:16] Not Elizabeth.
[00:10:17] That's the character.
[00:10:18] Jenny.
[00:10:20] See, I get it mixed up.
[00:10:21] Jenny.
[00:10:22] Try it one more time.
[00:10:24] And then, of course, welcome to the Apoxalip.
[00:10:27] Apoxalip.
[00:10:29] Apoxalip.
[00:10:36] And that was not that long ago.
[00:10:38] No.
[00:10:39] I remember that one.
[00:10:41] Yeah.
[00:10:41] I was like, I said it and I was like, I think I was trying so hard not to say Adam as Rob plays
[00:10:46] Angry Adam that I completely swapped Jenny for her character.
[00:10:50] I'm like, when you're – so take this moment again, throw that out there.
[00:10:55] If you haven't checked out, welcome to the Apoxalip.
[00:10:57] No.
[00:10:57] If you haven't checked out, welcome to the Apocalypse on Podcastica.
[00:11:01] It's great.
[00:11:02] Yeah.
[00:11:02] I thought you when the characters and improv actors on that show are so good that you can't
[00:11:08] differentiate between them and their characters.
[00:11:10] I guess that's a ringing endorsement.
[00:11:12] I don't know.
[00:11:14] So this one is all me.
[00:11:18] Kind of.
[00:11:19] Yeah, I guess it's me.
[00:11:21] And with that, we've reached the end of another episode.
[00:11:25] Thanks, everyone, for listening.
[00:11:28] Oh my god, guess what?
[00:11:31] But I didn't promote the first episode.
[00:11:36] This is – because we had so much, I just didn't think about it.
[00:11:41] What's coming up next?
[00:11:42] You didn't say that.
[00:11:44] It wasn't in the doc, so I didn't remember to do it.
[00:11:48] Oh my god, let me see what's next, because I can't remember.
[00:11:52] 28 weeks, right?
[00:11:54] Yes.
[00:11:55] Yep.
[00:11:56] We were recording.
[00:11:57] We were almost – I mean, we were at the end.
[00:12:01] And I hadn't put in the document the little part that says what's coming.
[00:12:08] So we just skipped it and kept going.
[00:12:11] Because that would have been – shoot.
[00:12:16] Whatever.
[00:12:16] Because we did like a – it was like a Halloween episode or something.
[00:12:19] No, this was independent.
[00:12:21] Maybe it was Resurgence.
[00:12:21] Yeah.
[00:12:22] That was – so again, following up Resurgence, because that came out and then they were actually – because we released it for Fourth of July.
[00:12:27] It was a holiday thing before the season started with 28 weeks.
[00:12:32] So it wasn't technically the season's start yet.
[00:12:35] So we hadn't recorded that episode or whatever.
[00:12:38] So it was like –
[00:12:39] Yeah.
[00:12:40] Yep.
[00:12:40] I forgot to do it.
[00:12:42] See, we need the doc.
[00:12:43] That is something we figured out a long time ago is we need to have the doc updated.
[00:12:50] It's important.
[00:12:50] Literally, we have a doc for this episode right now just so we could do the beginning and cue that up of, hey, everyone, welcome to the show.
[00:12:57] I'm Daphne and I'm Peyton.
[00:12:58] Because if we didn't have that, that six seconds worth of recording would be like, I don't know what to do.
[00:13:06] Who am I?
[00:13:07] Yeah.
[00:13:07] Where am I?
[00:13:07] What show is this?
[00:13:09] Yeah.
[00:13:10] Exactly.
[00:13:11] Crazy, isn't it?
[00:13:13] So this next one is all on me again when we were doing Five Nights at Freddy's.
[00:13:20] So the inspiration for Five Nights at Freddy's came from criticism of Scott Cawthorne.
[00:13:27] No, I'm still doing it with an R.
[00:13:30] Cawthons.
[00:13:31] Cawthons.
[00:13:33] Okay.
[00:13:34] Inspiration for Freddy's, for Freddy Got Fingered, for Freddy's Nightmare.
[00:13:39] I don't know.
[00:13:47] Oh, boy.
[00:13:49] That must have been after Jack left.
[00:13:51] After Jack left.
[00:13:52] Yeah.
[00:13:54] He would have corrected me.
[00:13:56] Because he did earlier in the episode.
[00:14:01] This one is from a little while back, I think.
[00:14:06] Maybe a year ago.
[00:14:08] And then over on the Cast of the Rings podcast, they covered the Lord of the Rings.
[00:14:13] Yeah, the Lord of the Rings Prime show.
[00:14:17] That I can't think of the name of the show right now.
[00:14:23] Isn't it?
[00:14:27] The Cast of the Rings is what the podcast is.
[00:14:31] That's the podcast.
[00:14:31] But, oh my god.
[00:14:34] It's one of those things where it's not written down and I don't...
[00:14:37] Oh.
[00:14:38] Okay.
[00:14:38] So, the Rings of Power.
[00:14:40] That's it.
[00:14:41] And then over on the Cast of the Rings, of course, the podcast set up to cover the Amazon Prime,
[00:14:46] Lord of the Rings show, the Rings of Power.
[00:14:49] So you can go check their coverage out because...
[00:14:52] Hang on.
[00:14:53] I'll blip.
[00:14:54] We finished that one.
[00:14:54] Stop.
[00:14:55] Let me go back.
[00:14:55] Rewind.
[00:15:00] Yes.
[00:15:01] Just words out of a bowl.
[00:15:03] See if I can get them in the right order.
[00:15:05] Yeah.
[00:15:07] Oh, man.
[00:15:08] I'm not watching that show right now.
[00:15:10] But, yes, do go check it out because they are incredible people doing an incredible job,
[00:15:15] I assume.
[00:15:15] Again, I'm not listening because I'm not watching.
[00:15:17] But they're lovely podcasters and they do a fantastic job.
[00:15:20] So definitely go check out their coverage if you like that show.
[00:15:23] Absolutely.
[00:15:24] Yeah.
[00:15:25] So here's the next one.
[00:15:27] And lastly, step outside of Podcastica just a little bit as we always give our love to
[00:15:32] our friends over at TV Podcast Industries that you just took away from me.
[00:15:37] I did.
[00:15:38] I didn't mean to.
[00:15:39] I was going to look something up and then it took over.
[00:15:43] It took a weird turn.
[00:15:45] So what happened there was I was trying to add something quickly to the doc because I realized
[00:15:51] someone released something in between when I updated the doc and when we were recording
[00:15:57] feedback.
[00:15:59] But instead of adding anything, I actually deleted what was there.
[00:16:03] Just straight up deleted the plug that I was reading.
[00:16:06] Yes.
[00:16:07] Currently at the time.
[00:16:08] Yeah.
[00:16:08] Yeah.
[00:16:09] Again, we live and die by the doc.
[00:16:12] And yeah, this is also interesting.
[00:16:13] Besides just like bloopers and ad takes, hopefully you guys find some of this like really
[00:16:16] funny.
[00:16:16] But also, again, it's a little interesting.
[00:16:19] We're just like pulling back the curtain.
[00:16:20] You're like learning more of like behind the scenes how recording the show goes sometimes
[00:16:26] and some of the like technical stuff goes about it.
[00:16:28] And I'm just being very honest.
[00:16:29] Like the whole Rings of Power thing.
[00:16:30] I just said, typically in an episode, I'm not going to have like a, as you said, because
[00:16:35] you said you took it out when me talking about like, I don't even watch this show right now.
[00:16:38] I'm usually not going to say something like that.
[00:16:39] But this is a no holds barred behind the curtain with the real us today.
[00:16:44] Yeah.
[00:16:45] And we both love Penny and Anwen who record Cast of the Rings.
[00:16:50] They're fantastic.
[00:16:51] But if you don't watch the show, usually you have to watch the show to listen to the podcast.
[00:16:59] Although Damien used to-
[00:17:00] Yeah, he's very lost.
[00:17:01] Damien would always listen to our podcast, even if he hadn't watched the movie.
[00:17:08] Sometimes it would get him to watch it or not.
[00:17:12] He, so.
[00:17:14] So, this is a fun one.
[00:17:16] As opposed to the other ones, which were so non-fun.
[00:17:23] TV podcast industry's coverage of all of that.
[00:17:26] And then they are starting up the next show.
[00:17:28] They just keep rolling one into the next with Dead Boy, Dead Boy, God, Tata, Tata.
[00:17:35] I can't say the word detectives for some reason.
[00:17:39] It's the alliteration.
[00:17:41] It's the Ds.
[00:17:41] Dead Boy.
[00:17:42] All right.
[00:17:47] I actually thought that I had taken that out, but I left it in.
[00:17:52] So I'm glad I did.
[00:17:53] Dead Boy detectives say that three times fast.
[00:17:56] I couldn't.
[00:17:59] To detectives.
[00:18:02] This next one is fun.
[00:18:04] I think you've only done it.
[00:18:05] This was the second time that you did this.
[00:18:07] Aside from all of that, you can make sure to come right back here next week to Wilhelm to see what we're doing.
[00:18:12] Daphne, what are we doing next week?
[00:18:14] Um, I don't know what's going on on Wilhelm.
[00:18:17] But you just said come back to check out Wilhelm.
[00:18:22] Oh, yeah.
[00:18:22] Check out Wilhelm next week.
[00:18:23] Don't listen to this podcast.
[00:18:25] Only go check out the Oscar episode of Wilhelm and then just listen to Wilhelm from now on.
[00:18:29] And don't come back here.
[00:18:30] Oh, no.
[00:18:32] Oh, my God.
[00:18:34] We don't want you anymore.
[00:18:35] Go to bed.
[00:18:37] Didn't this happen once with Strange Indeed?
[00:18:39] I think I called it Strange Indeed once, too.
[00:18:41] You did.
[00:18:42] But that was, Peg, that was like three and a half years ago.
[00:18:45] Right.
[00:18:49] So that was back in March.
[00:18:52] Sometimes I forget what podcast I'm doing.
[00:18:56] You say that.
[00:18:57] And right now, I think I'm on three a week.
[00:19:01] It feels like 70, but it's just three.
[00:19:06] Okay.
[00:19:07] And this one is very recent.
[00:19:09] I think you'll probably remember this one.
[00:19:11] No, no.
[00:19:11] The feedback this week, we're going to get a...
[00:19:14] Just go right into it.
[00:19:17] All right.
[00:19:17] There's some feedback and stuff.
[00:19:18] Alma says some shit.
[00:19:19] Catherine says some shit.
[00:19:19] If you want to send feedback, you know what to do.
[00:19:21] You've heard a bunch of episodes.
[00:19:22] You know where to send it.
[00:19:23] If you want to listen to other stuff, there's some really cool stuff going on in a podcast.
[00:19:25] You can go to the website.
[00:19:26] You've heard it a million times.
[00:19:28] Check those podcasts out.
[00:19:29] All right.
[00:19:29] What are we doing next week?
[00:19:30] That sounds great, Daphne.
[00:19:30] All right.
[00:19:31] Bye.
[00:19:35] You better run for your lives.
[00:19:37] Bye.
[00:19:37] If you got to run, because I do.
[00:19:38] Bye.
[00:19:41] I think you were going to see Deadpool.
[00:19:45] Yeah.
[00:19:45] There's a lot of times.
[00:19:46] Because you record on Thursdays.
[00:19:47] And so a lot of times, if I'm trying to go opening night to a Marvel movie or something,
[00:19:51] we're running up to, they were like, we're recording, and then I got to go.
[00:19:56] So it kind of started from that as a joke.
[00:19:58] And I was like, would I just run through all of the feedback and plugs as fast as I can,
[00:20:04] jokingly?
[00:20:04] Yeah.
[00:20:06] This is what I deal with on a weekly basis.
[00:20:09] Also, notice Ben has pointed it out to me.
[00:20:12] And at first, I was like a little insecure about it, but I've grown to just accept it
[00:20:17] as who I am.
[00:20:18] But he's right that I giggle a lot.
[00:20:21] I'm just very laughy.
[00:20:22] You are.
[00:20:23] All the time.
[00:20:23] But that's...
[00:20:24] It's like 80% of this.
[00:20:25] It's just me going...
[00:20:27] But, you know.
[00:20:28] No, it's great.
[00:20:29] Come on.
[00:20:30] That's one of the best things about you.
[00:20:33] You know how to have fun and giggle at yourself.
[00:20:36] And that is amazing.
[00:20:39] Okay.
[00:20:39] So the next one.
[00:20:41] Oh, yes.
[00:20:42] This one goes quite a ways back.
[00:20:45] Well, things start to go a bit crazy at that point because as Spike is eating Spike...
[00:20:50] There you go.
[00:20:51] See?
[00:20:52] See what's happened?
[00:20:53] I'm taking this out too.
[00:20:54] I don't want to sound bad.
[00:20:55] Okay.
[00:20:56] So that was from Gremlins.
[00:20:59] And Paik had already told me and reminded me that it's Stripe, not Spike.
[00:21:06] And yet I did it again.
[00:21:08] Like Britney Spears.
[00:21:12] Oh, man.
[00:21:14] So this one has to do with our feedback phone.
[00:21:17] Kind of.
[00:21:19] All right.
[00:21:19] I should probably go answer it before it starts busting up through the floorboards.
[00:21:22] Let me go get it.
[00:21:23] Yes.
[00:21:23] Oh!
[00:21:25] Could we interest you in some chocolate?
[00:21:28] I don't know why that played.
[00:21:29] Um...
[00:21:34] Sorry.
[00:21:35] Wrong number.
[00:21:40] I don't know if there's ever a wrong number for chocolate, Pike.
[00:21:46] Yeah.
[00:21:47] Because I have the...
[00:21:48] It's a YouTube video.
[00:21:49] Like, again, let's go...
[00:21:51] We're breaking into...
[00:21:52] Behind the fourth wall today.
[00:21:54] That's what we're going to do.
[00:21:55] It's fine.
[00:21:56] Yeah.
[00:21:56] Because literally the feedback phone every week is me pulling up a YouTube playlist on my phone and holding my phone up to my microphone and playing.
[00:22:04] And so I've just got it in a playlist of saved videos.
[00:22:08] And for some reason, instead of just, like, pausing the feedback phone video, which is literally just that Jurassic Park 3 ringtone on loop for, like, 10 hours.
[00:22:18] Um, so I can just pull it up and hit play on it.
[00:22:21] I, instead of stopping it, I hit the next video in the playlist.
[00:22:25] I hit, like, the next button instead of pause.
[00:22:27] And it was that clip from SpongeBob for some reason.
[00:22:32] It's great.
[00:22:34] These are the types of things that happen.
[00:22:36] Yeah.
[00:22:37] It's great.
[00:22:38] Okay, we're down to the last two.
[00:22:42] So...
[00:22:42] Man, it's a quick one.
[00:22:43] I know.
[00:22:45] Here is the next one.
[00:22:46] Next week, we are continuing the creepy factor.
[00:22:50] Or...
[00:22:51] Next week, we are continuing our descent down the creepy films.
[00:22:57] I don't know.
[00:22:59] We're gonna rock down to the creepy avenue.
[00:23:02] The avenue.
[00:23:03] No.
[00:23:07] And this last one...
[00:23:10] Yeah, there's just something about it that I thought it would be good to end the episode on.
[00:23:15] I have a feeling I know where this one's going.
[00:23:17] No, you don't.
[00:23:18] What do you think it is?
[00:23:19] Tell me.
[00:23:20] We'll see.
[00:23:20] We'll see.
[00:23:21] We'll see.
[00:23:21] No.
[00:23:22] I don't...
[00:23:24] It might not be as good as you think it's gonna be, but I think it's one of the best things that ever.
[00:23:30] So we'll see.
[00:23:32] Okay.
[00:23:32] I think at the end of our episode, Peek, and I'll take this part out.
[00:23:37] I think you should...
[00:23:38] Instead of saying bye-bye, you should say sometimes dead is blah.
[00:23:43] Sometimes dead is blah.
[00:23:43] Yeah.
[00:23:44] You gotta do it.
[00:23:46] I'm gonna...
[00:23:46] If I remember.
[00:23:47] You know what?
[00:23:47] I'm gonna put it on the feedback notes so that we can remember.
[00:23:54] Oh.
[00:23:55] Because I think it's important that we do it.
[00:23:58] Sometimes dead is blah.
[00:24:04] That was one of my favorite endings.
[00:24:08] That movie was so not good.
[00:24:10] And yet, we found something to get hilarious about, basically.
[00:24:16] To laugh.
[00:24:17] And it just continued on.
[00:24:20] It was just a thing.
[00:24:22] What did you think it was gonna be?
[00:24:24] I thought you were gonna pull back when I was having technical issues.
[00:24:29] Have you had problems with technology on this podcast?
[00:24:34] Oh.
[00:24:35] Oh, no.
[00:24:35] My internet connection has always been pristine.
[00:24:40] Always and forever.
[00:24:41] Mm-hmm.
[00:24:42] Yeah.
[00:24:44] Yeah.
[00:24:45] I did have some honorable mentions that I didn't put in, but I think we could go through a couple of them.
[00:24:54] And it, unfortunately, was up against some really stiff competition in the Oscar season.
[00:24:59] Yeah.
[00:25:00] Speaking of Godzilla minus one, it took that best international feature.
[00:25:07] So.
[00:25:09] Uh-uh.
[00:25:10] You know what?
[00:25:11] No, no, no, no, no.
[00:25:12] No, it didn't.
[00:25:13] Yeah, I'll go back on that.
[00:25:14] Yeah, it is.
[00:25:15] It took the effects.
[00:25:17] That's right.
[00:25:18] Yeah, so.
[00:25:18] The visual effects.
[00:25:19] Redo that if you want.
[00:25:21] Nah, I'm good.
[00:25:22] You're gonna leave it the way it is?
[00:25:24] No, we're just gonna take that out completely.
[00:25:26] All right.
[00:25:28] Yes.
[00:25:30] We're gonna take that out completely.
[00:25:33] Mm-hmm.
[00:25:33] Never to be heard by anyone ever.
[00:25:36] Until today.
[00:25:39] Yeah, because I thought I had a great transition, this little segue, and then I realized, nope, did not.
[00:25:48] No, definitely not.
[00:25:50] Um, there was also, oh, I think this one, because you have a tendency to sing on the podcast.
[00:26:00] Oh, oh, oh.
[00:26:01] So, yeah, there's that.
[00:26:04] Yeah, you have a tendency to do some singing.
[00:26:08] Be my, be my, be my little baby.
[00:26:11] Baby.
[00:26:14] Oh, Danny boy.
[00:26:17] Danny boy.
[00:26:19] Danny boy.
[00:26:21] He got knocked down.
[00:26:22] Ain't getting up again.
[00:26:23] Yeah, is Axl Shirley keeping down?
[00:26:25] Did that not make it into the final cut of that episode?
[00:26:29] Oh, no, it did.
[00:26:30] But I liked it, and I wanted to bring it back.
[00:26:33] Because you know that album you're doing with all your best songs from Run For Your Life.
[00:26:38] Uh-huh.
[00:26:39] Sure.
[00:26:40] Yeah.
[00:26:40] Then this one, I didn't, I don't know, I didn't think this one was quite funny enough to make it.
[00:26:46] One thing that was really cool about this is, um, oh, God.
[00:26:54] I have no idea what I was going to say.
[00:26:57] I was looking for my note thinking I'm going to find it.
[00:27:00] I'll figure it out.
[00:27:01] I'll just vamp until it comes to her.
[00:27:03] No, no, no.
[00:27:04] Nope.
[00:27:05] Nope, I got it.
[00:27:06] Just do like an Ashley Simpson and do a little jig.
[00:27:09] Blah, blah, blah.
[00:27:11] No.
[00:27:12] Maybe you just get a little musical number there.
[00:27:14] Uh, no.
[00:27:16] Not really.
[00:27:18] Oh, yeah.
[00:27:18] And then there was this little ditty.
[00:27:21] All right.
[00:27:22] Kate Carter, a retired tornado chaser and meteorologist, is persuaded to return to Oklahoma to work with a new team and two, and two, just two technologies.
[00:27:33] Only two.
[00:27:34] No.
[00:27:34] That was recently when we were doing twisters.
[00:27:38] Um, and then this is also an old favorite.
[00:27:43] There's no Elmo.
[00:27:44] No, no, he hasn't been introduced into the lore yet.
[00:27:49] That's next week.
[00:27:51] I do.
[00:27:51] But I'm going to have to try to remember to end next week's feedback with a bye-bye.
[00:27:56] Uh.
[00:27:58] Ha ha ha ha.
[00:28:01] Yeah, you are.
[00:28:03] Mm.
[00:28:03] You're going to have to.
[00:28:05] Ha ha.
[00:28:06] Cassidy, there's nothing in here for you.
[00:28:10] Why are you crying?
[00:28:12] There's nothing in here for you.
[00:28:14] There's no ferrets in there.
[00:28:17] They're in bed.
[00:28:18] Ah, ah, Elmo wants to read a feedback!
[00:28:21] Ha ha ha ha ha.
[00:28:25] And these...
[00:28:26] Okay.
[00:28:27] Might even do that, too, next week.
[00:28:29] Really?
[00:28:30] If somebody leaves, not the whole thing, but just, like, one of them.
[00:28:34] Find somebody that leaves one.
[00:28:35] If somebody has one that has, like, F-bombs or something, if somebody curses in their feedback,
[00:28:40] Elmo wants to read a feedback, and then he'll get to that.
[00:28:43] And then I can be like,
[00:28:44] Oh, I can't say that one.
[00:28:46] Like, I could do something.
[00:28:48] I'm not going to see that!
[00:28:53] Oh.
[00:28:55] And this one.
[00:28:57] Thanks, everyone, for listening.
[00:28:59] Hold on just a second.
[00:29:00] Oliver, the rubbing on things up here is not going to work while I try to read this last part.
[00:29:08] Yes.
[00:29:09] Oliver was a big part of our podcast, because he used to sit on my desk while we were recording.
[00:29:14] Unfortunately, he passed away about two years ago.
[00:29:17] And none of my other cats have really made the case for becoming the official podcast cat.
[00:29:22] So we don't really have one.
[00:29:28] So other than when, like, in the clip before that, where Cassidy decides to just meow, meow, meow, meow in the background.
[00:29:34] You've got that going for me now.
[00:29:36] Yeah, I do.
[00:29:37] It's great.
[00:29:38] And then I didn't touch on any of these.
[00:29:41] This episode is the adventure horror film Anaconda, directed by Luis Leo...
[00:29:48] I haven't even looked at this name yet.
[00:29:50] So...
[00:29:51] Losa?
[00:29:51] Losa.
[00:29:52] Yosa?
[00:29:53] Losa.
[00:29:53] I don't...
[00:29:54] It's Losa.
[00:29:54] Losa.
[00:29:55] Yosa.
[00:29:57] Uh...
[00:29:57] For some reason, there were multiple from Anaconda.
[00:30:03] Hmm.
[00:30:04] All right.
[00:30:05] When a...
[00:30:07] Okay.
[00:30:08] I'm going to start that over, because when does not start that, and it would make it grammatically
[00:30:11] not make sense.
[00:30:13] So...
[00:30:14] We're already off to a great start.
[00:30:16] Yes, it'll be great.
[00:30:17] All right.
[00:30:19] Okay.
[00:30:20] So...
[00:30:20] There...
[00:30:22] I'm taking this part out.
[00:30:23] Our listeners are going to think we have no idea what movie we're covering.
[00:30:28] So anyway, Jennifer Hudson is busy doing...
[00:30:33] Okay.
[00:30:37] So...
[00:30:37] It was really...
[00:30:38] Jennifer Aniston.
[00:30:43] If I could reach through and smack you upside the head right now, I would.
[00:30:48] Oh, wait.
[00:30:49] I'm going to see you in a few days, and I'll do it when I see you.
[00:30:54] Okay.
[00:30:55] So, Jennifer Lopez in that scene.
[00:30:58] Are you sure it was Jennifer Lopez?
[00:31:01] I believe so.
[00:31:03] That's the question.
[00:31:04] Yeah.
[00:31:05] It could be so many Jennifers.
[00:31:08] And the moral of the story is, if you're going scuba diving or going underwater, you should
[00:31:13] check your equipment to make sure that there are no poisonous wasps in the mouthpiece.
[00:31:20] Venomous.
[00:31:21] Poisonous.
[00:31:22] Venomous!
[00:31:22] Oh my God!
[00:31:24] I am removing this.
[00:31:26] I am.
[00:31:26] No.
[00:31:27] No, because that's a joke.
[00:31:28] Because I even have my notes.
[00:31:28] I was like, a deadly poisonous wasp.
[00:31:31] Venomous wasp.
[00:31:32] Venomous wasp.
[00:31:34] I did have to look that up to make sure.
[00:31:36] It's funny.
[00:31:36] Anytime we're talking snakes, if it's a snake movie, the venomous poisonous conversation
[00:31:40] will come up, even when it's about a wasp.
[00:31:42] Yes.
[00:31:43] For some reason, we had like five outtakes from Anaconda.
[00:31:50] Mm-hmm.
[00:31:52] Yeah.
[00:31:53] Nobody can ever say we don't have fun recording this podcast.
[00:31:56] No.
[00:31:56] It's just ridiculous things.
[00:31:59] We definitely have a lot of fun.
[00:32:02] We won't be asking our listeners for any feedback on this one, I don't think.
[00:32:06] Will we?
[00:32:07] No.
[00:32:08] Because I don't know.
[00:32:09] No.
[00:32:11] What are your favorite things you never heard?
[00:32:17] So instead, we'll be going into, thank you for joining us on this journey.
[00:32:22] And-
[00:32:23] Yeah.
[00:32:23] I'll get to do the plugs for whatever current episodes of different podcast, podcastica podcasts
[00:32:31] are going on that week.
[00:32:32] This actually comes out because we record in advance.
[00:32:35] So we're not doing it right now because I'll have to wait and see.
[00:32:38] But Rings of Power should probably still be going.
[00:32:40] So check that show out.
[00:32:44] Since we love it so much.
[00:32:46] I mean, we love the podcast.
[00:32:47] Absolutely.
[00:32:47] Oh.
[00:32:48] We definitely do.
[00:32:50] But yeah, that's going to be a running thing.
[00:32:52] We're going to have Penny and Amwin coming after us now.
[00:32:57] I don't-
[00:32:58] I just can't fit another show in.
[00:33:01] Yeah.
[00:33:01] It's too much stuff to watch.
[00:33:04] And so I was like, man, I already have zero time in my week.
[00:33:07] What do I want to do about it?
[00:33:08] I don't know.
[00:33:09] Let's see if I can put together another role-playing game online with some people.
[00:33:12] So now I'm in the process of trying to put that together.
[00:33:15] Yes, but that's going to be so much fun.
[00:33:18] And I know that you're going to kill it.
[00:33:22] Yeah.
[00:33:23] Well, then I'm not even going to let the feed bone-
[00:33:26] Feed bone-
[00:33:27] And now-
[00:33:29] Outtakes.
[00:33:30] It's staying in because this is a feedback episode.
[00:33:33] Or not-
[00:33:34] Your outtakes episode.
[00:33:38] I've lost it.
[00:33:39] Okay.
[00:33:40] See, in real time.
[00:33:41] And again, none of this has to come out.
[00:33:43] No.
[00:33:43] Because what's the point of this anyway?
[00:33:44] So you just got one in real time.
[00:33:46] That's fun.
[00:33:46] Yep.
[00:33:47] Um, it's a feedback episode about our feed bones.
[00:33:51] Um, no, uh-
[00:33:52] Did you just say feed bones?
[00:33:55] Mm-hmm.
[00:33:55] Uh.
[00:33:57] Okay, that's good.
[00:33:58] Yeah, so no feedback phone this week because there's no feedback.
[00:34:04] But, uh, we'll be with you in just a few seconds from the past future with plugs for stuff you should go check out.
[00:34:13] If you'd like to submit feedback, you can find us on Facebook and Instagram at Run For Your Lives Podcast.
[00:34:19] You can email us at runforyourlivespodcast at gmail.com.
[00:34:23] And if you're enjoying the show, tell your friends.
[00:34:25] We are available on all the podcast players, including Apple, Spotify, and YouTube.
[00:34:30] Go to runforyourlivespodcast.com for all the links you'll ever need.
[00:34:35] And give us a review on Apple Podcasts.
[00:34:37] That's the best way to share the love and get us out there even more.
[00:34:41] We really appreciate it.
[00:34:43] We do indeed.
[00:34:45] And of course, speaking of sharing the love, gotta give those shoutouts to the things going on in the podcast universe around us.
[00:34:51] And speaking of Indeed, my usually other podcast, Strange Indeed, back-releasing episodes right now, although sans me.
[00:35:00] I'm not on there right now.
[00:35:01] I have too much to do.
[00:35:03] Uh, no.
[00:35:05] I'm so behind on so many things, but I love that it's coming back.
[00:35:08] Rima and a rotating guest cast of people who are available week to week.
[00:35:15] Wendy, Greg, maybe some others as they continue going through the Great British Baking Show, which I guess is officially the title of it that they're going with kind of across the board now.
[00:35:27] Still Bake Off in some circles, but like, it's, you know what it is.
[00:35:32] Yeah, people know this show.
[00:35:33] So yeah, I love that, you know, when BBC, I assume it's BBC, and Netflix are kind of simultaneously releasing them, maybe like a day or two difference.
[00:35:43] Uh, when new season's coming out, then over on Strange Indeed, there's coverage of that, that you can, which is weird because, you know, we cover a lot of horror and sci-fi and thriller kind of things over there.
[00:35:55] So it truly is Strange Indeed that we also love having Bake Off or The Baking Show in that feed as well.
[00:36:02] So yeah, so go check out Rima, Wendy, Greg, any other guests and stuff talking about Bake Off over there.
[00:36:08] Always a blast.
[00:36:09] So check that out.
[00:36:10] Of course, lots of other great podcastica stuff as well.
[00:36:13] The cast of us covering The Walking Dead, Daryl Dixon, The Book of Carol, which is season two.
[00:36:19] There's so many subtitles.
[00:36:22] Yeah, go check that out as well.
[00:36:24] The first two episodes.
[00:36:26] I'm loving it.
[00:36:27] I'm loving Daryl Dixon right now.
[00:36:28] I really enjoyed the first season and the second season has been incredible as well so far.
[00:36:34] So definitely check out their coverage over there.
[00:36:37] Of course, that is Jason and Lucy.
[00:36:40] And then on the Marvel TV cast, Jim and Penny have been covering the Disney Plus Marvel series Agatha all along.
[00:36:48] So you can go check out their coverage of each episode as they come out as well.
[00:36:52] Over there.
[00:36:53] Again, links to all of these on podcastica.com.
[00:36:56] So you're not having to search out all of these podcast names that I mentioned.
[00:36:59] So you know what to look for.
[00:37:01] You like Agatha?
[00:37:02] Go check out Marvel TV cast.
[00:37:04] Also, What is From cast?
[00:37:06] Continuing on.
[00:37:07] Alex and Lizzie with the MGM Plus show From.
[00:37:11] Which, man, this show just keeps getting better.
[00:37:14] And it's getting more buzz.
[00:37:15] People are picking up on it.
[00:37:17] People are starting to watch it.
[00:37:18] I've had people come up to me like, oh my god, have you heard of this new show?
[00:37:20] Like, it's in its third season.
[00:37:22] But, like, I didn't even know it existed.
[00:37:24] It's like, I've been here since the beginning.
[00:37:26] But, yeah.
[00:37:28] But I'm glad people are catching on.
[00:37:30] Last night, I was at Trivia, and one of the answers was Lost.
[00:37:35] And I was talking with the trivia host, Joe, and just letting him know, hey, there's this show.
[00:37:40] It's been on a couple seasons now.
[00:37:42] But it's by the same people.
[00:37:43] You might like it.
[00:37:45] Yeah.
[00:37:45] Man.
[00:37:46] And it's...
[00:37:47] Now in season three, I'm not spoiling anything, but, like...
[00:37:51] It's getting losty.
[00:37:54] It is.
[00:37:55] But I'm hoping that they learn something from Lost.
[00:38:00] And I love it, because I loved Lost a ton.
[00:38:03] What I loved about it was the insane questions and cliffhangers, and, like, where instead of answers, they just give you a bucket more, you know, questions.
[00:38:14] As long as that they can wrap it up at some point, Lost kind of fumbled on some of those by the end.
[00:38:20] Unfortunately, I still think it's a great show, and it still holds a big place in my heart.
[00:38:24] So I'm hoping that, yeah, like you said, maybe with From, they've learned from that, that it's the same formula as far as...
[00:38:32] We could answer that question, but how about we give you 20 more mysteries instead and just really drive you crazy?
[00:38:38] But I have hope that they will pull things together in however many seasons they plan on doing things.
[00:38:44] But the story is getting very intriguing, and so if you're a fan of Lost, check out From, for sure.
[00:38:49] And Alex and Lizzie have been doing the immediate reaction videos over on YouTube.
[00:38:55] As soon as the episode's over, you can go over to the Podcastica YouTube channel, and they've been putting up those immediate reactions there.
[00:39:02] And they've actually been having cast members from the show talk about the episodes with them each week, which has been incredibly cool.
[00:39:09] Yeah, they're doing a great job over there.
[00:39:42] Yeah.
[00:39:43] I think sports.
[00:39:44] The first episode is up now, and it's kind of a deep dive into the idea of, you know, right now, like in baseball, the, you know, sacrifice bunts and stuff aren't used as much anymore.
[00:39:56] And some things like that.
[00:39:57] I think they're talking about certain, you know, just the way that sports evolve over time.
[00:40:01] And I'm interested to see kind of what other ideas and deep dives and things that they go into it.
[00:40:06] But yeah, so if you're a sports fan listening to Podcastica stuff, there's a little bit of that sports itch that's going to be in this network now.
[00:40:13] So check out Sportscastica.
[00:40:14] It's kind of a big project for David that he's been wanting to do for a while, so go check it out.
[00:40:19] Yeah, it's very cool.
[00:40:20] I think they also released another episode about hockey, about a hockey rivalry.
[00:40:29] Nice.
[00:40:30] So yeah, it's very cool.
[00:40:32] I like what they're doing.
[00:40:33] It's not like news.
[00:40:35] Yeah.
[00:40:36] They're deep diving into specific sports stories of the past.
[00:40:41] I think it's a lot of fun.
[00:40:43] Yeah.
[00:40:43] So make sure to check that out.
[00:40:45] There's lots of good Podcastica stuff.
[00:40:46] Of course, outside of Podcastica, we always give some love to our good friends over at TV Podcast Industries, doing great stuff, working on Rings of Power and Agatha all along right now.
[00:40:58] So you can go check out their coverage of those shows there.
[00:41:02] And of course, lastly, Buffalo, Buffalo.
[00:41:05] We plug it every week.
[00:41:06] But if you want to hear more of me and Daphne, along with our friends Jeff and Jerry, you can always check out Buffalo, Buffalo, where, again, we break out of the TV and movie conversations.
[00:41:15] And just talk about anything and everything and whatever and drive each other crazy.
[00:41:22] And specifically, I mean, just drive Daphne crazy with as many puns and jokes and stupid things we can say.
[00:41:30] But yeah, it's a blast.
[00:41:33] We're having a lot of fun playing games and stuff over there.
[00:41:35] And stay tuned to it.
[00:41:37] It's not like in the next episode or two.
[00:41:39] But we did just record a live, like, in-person episode, the four of us together with some special guests.
[00:41:48] And I'm excited for that to come out in a few weeks.
[00:41:50] It's going to be a lot of fun for people to hear.
[00:41:53] So yeah, get into the podcast, the episode.
[00:41:56] There's, like, not really deep lore.
[00:41:57] But, you know, hey, if you listen to all of them, there's bits that return and there's through lines and there's little things.
[00:42:03] So we're having fun over there.
[00:42:05] And every once in a while, I can get one over on the guys.
[00:42:09] I try.
[00:42:10] It's very difficult.
[00:42:13] But recording that episode in person was so much fun.
[00:42:17] Yeah, absolutely.
[00:42:18] And I hope we get to do one again sometime because it was just cool to be in the same place and, like, see – not have it be, like, a virtual recording.
[00:42:31] Like, see your body language and be able to hang out and stuff.
[00:42:36] So it was great.
[00:42:37] And we played a really fun game.
[00:42:40] Yeah, something different that we usually can't do on, you know, the podcast normally when we're all separated in, you know, different areas.
[00:42:49] So to be together, we can actually play a game that we can only do together.
[00:42:53] So that was really cool.
[00:42:54] Yeah, it was great.
[00:42:56] And, of course, lastly, you can always come back right here next week to run for your lives.
[00:43:02] We'll have something fresh and fun and new for you.
[00:43:04] What are we doing next week, Daphne?
[00:43:05] Well, we're diving into the world of M. Night Shyamalan again.
[00:43:10] And if you remember, the first time we dove into that or went down that path –
[00:43:17] What?
[00:43:18] We had a ton of fun.
[00:43:20] So I won't give too much away, but I will say this.
[00:43:29] Yes.
[00:43:29] When a doting dad takes his daughter to a Lady Raven concert, he quickly realizes the entire event is an elaborate plan to trap a serial killer.
[00:43:39] Yes.
[00:43:40] Yes.
[00:43:40] So we are covering the 2024 film Trap.
[00:43:44] It was directed by M. Night Shyamalan.
[00:43:46] It stars Josh Hartnett.
[00:43:48] And the film was a collaboration between him, M. Night Shyamalan, and his daughter, Salika.
[00:43:55] So she did the music.
[00:43:57] He did the story.
[00:43:58] And I think we have a rather fun time talking about it.
[00:44:03] Yeah, absolutely.
[00:44:04] So it's a newer one.
[00:44:06] So if you haven't seen it, haven't checked it out, go ahead and do that.
[00:44:10] And then next week, we'll be here to talk about it.
[00:44:12] Give us your thoughts, things like that.
[00:44:13] We'd love to hear from you.
[00:44:15] Definitely.
[00:44:16] And with that, we've reached the end of a particularly funny episode of Run for Your Lives.
[00:44:23] We hope that you enjoyed our look at some of the outtakes from previous episodes.
[00:44:31] Thanks, everyone, for listening.
[00:44:32] I'm Daphne.
[00:44:34] And I'm Pete.
[00:44:35] And if you have to run, you better run for your lives.
[00:44:39] Buh-buh-bi-bar-bow-baw-bam-bam-bam-bam-bam-bam-bam-bam.
