[00:00:00] Hey listeners, welcome to the show. I'm Jamie. And I'm Mark. And this is a spoiler

[00:00:45] full podcast about the dead boy detective season one, episode three, the case of the Devlin house.

[00:00:53] You want to do the synopsis? Sure. The synopsis is the group tries to free a family of spirits from

[00:00:59] a nightmarish loop inside a haunted house, but it triggers an extreme case of deja vu for one

[00:01:06] detective. To put it mildly. To put it mildly. And honestly, it's something that we've been

[00:01:11] looking forward to a little bit more from this one particular character, which is Charles.

[00:01:17] So we get a little bit more insight of Charles and his life before. Yeah. Well, we got a during

[00:01:24] this episode too, we get the elephant in the room was embraced at this point that we left off

[00:01:31] from last episode about Charles and crystal. Yeah, we keep getting answers to things.

[00:01:38] It's like they just are moving and hitting us over the head with it.

[00:01:42] And I thought it was totally hooking up before the end of the season, right?

[00:01:46] I'm hoping.

[00:01:50] And then we get somebody else who's like being intrusive from the other end of the perspective

[00:01:55] of what's going on with Esther being Monty and showing up in the episode and

[00:02:01] and totally coming onto Edwin.

[00:02:06] Yeah, I last episode when they showed him come, I don't know why I didn't think of

[00:02:11] Monty and Edwin could be a thing. Me neither. And I as soon as like

[00:02:15] it started happening, I was like, oh my goodness, as soon as they had that one

[00:02:19] chance encounter, I was like, oh, I already know where this is going.

[00:02:25] And I really enjoyed it. And the fact that Nico is there too, she's seeing them,

[00:02:29] she's engaging. We got a lot of comedic scenes with her between the sprites, Edwin.

[00:02:38] Yeah, her and Edwin are a much better team up than I would have expected.

[00:02:43] Yeah, yeah. She brings out a softer side of him.

[00:02:46] Yeah. And they seem to work out and then Crystal and Edwin seem to work out something

[00:02:51] in the end too, because they have to work together.

[00:02:53] Yeah, I think he's relaxing a bit.

[00:02:57] Definitely. And yeah, my overall thoughts, this was enjoyable, but it was kind of

[00:03:03] upsetting in a sense of what happened to Charles within it.

[00:03:06] Yeah. It was like a necessary evil to

[00:03:09] give us a little bit more insight about Charles, I thought.

[00:03:12] Yeah, I thought it was a deeper episode, like a little bit deeper episode.

[00:03:17] I feel like it's the best one so far this season, though.

[00:03:19] Yeah. And it's the third one. So usually that's where things normally take off.

[00:03:25] And generally, it's like if it was on Amazon Prime, this would be the episode.

[00:03:32] Yeah, they dropped the first three.

[00:03:34] They've dropped the first two and then we get the third one the following week.

[00:03:37] And then that's the one when you're like, you're settled in and then you move on to.

[00:03:42] But with Netflix, obviously everything is dumped in one bunch.

[00:03:47] I personally have a rule of giving a show three episodes unless it's completely awful.

[00:03:52] Giving a show three episodes before I decide if I don't like it.

[00:03:55] Yeah. And, you know, our friend Ben back does the same thing and

[00:04:00] I have that same feeling too at times.

[00:04:02] Sometimes I'll trudge through, get to the fifth episode because if it really

[00:04:06] hasn't gelled in any way, I'll be like, I got to abandon this.

[00:04:10] Or if not, I'm already sucked into that point where I got to complete it.

[00:04:14] I have to finish it.

[00:04:17] Yeah. Yeah, but.

[00:04:18] That's kind of why I bail at three, because I think if I hit five,

[00:04:21] I'm like, oh, now I got to know how it ends.

[00:04:23] Exactly. Yeah, it's one of those.

[00:04:26] At least it's not like a show that has a beer balloon and toxic zombies

[00:04:30] and people take off their masks and things of that nature.

[00:04:34] But fear.

[00:04:36] Yeah, that's a podcast, a staple that we always talk about everybody.

[00:04:40] I think everybody in every podcast mentions fear in some way of

[00:04:46] not a regretful, but something that could have been done well.

[00:04:49] I gave that one three seasons and then I bailed.

[00:04:52] Yeah, you were smart.

[00:04:53] You were very smart.

[00:04:55] But I kept up with the podcast to know what was going on.

[00:04:58] Yeah. Well, yeah, it was everybody bashing it towards me, which was fun.

[00:05:04] But with this particular show, yeah, it definitely found its footing by episode three,

[00:05:10] I feel, and it does have its ground base.

[00:05:13] The episode reminded me and gave me the feels of Nancy Drew

[00:05:17] and the Hardy Boys with it.

[00:05:21] The chapters that they give us at certain points.

[00:05:24] I try to write them all down, but I didn't get all of them.

[00:05:27] But I have them all in my notes.

[00:05:29] All right. So they're basically cues of the scene and like just like a title card

[00:05:33] or even a chapter of what's going on.

[00:05:35] And I thought that was pretty interesting in how they did that.

[00:05:38] I don't think they did that with the previous episodes.

[00:05:40] They did.

[00:05:41] They did. OK.

[00:05:44] It's just at this point, I'm catching on to it.

[00:05:46] There were more this episode.

[00:05:49] They may not have done it.

[00:05:50] I don't remember if they did the first episode because I don't have it in my notes

[00:05:53] on the first episode, but I have it in the second episode, but they didn't do it.

[00:05:58] I only have like three, three sections in the episode two.

[00:06:03] But this episode I've won.

[00:06:06] Two, three, four, five, six, seven different or eight different chapter breaks.

[00:06:16] So there's a lot more this episode was easier to miss before.

[00:06:20] You're going to laugh. Guess what notes I had up episode two?

[00:06:25] No, I had notes for dark matter on.

[00:06:29] And I'm looking at my where could I go with my points?

[00:06:31] And I'm like, wait, they're talking about Schrodinger's cat.

[00:06:34] Their cats are no, we didn't talk about that this episode.

[00:06:37] Wrong. Wrong show.

[00:06:40] All right. So not to be confused, everybody or confusing myself, but

[00:06:46] I thought it was pretty cool.

[00:06:49] I love how it takes off from we left off to.

[00:06:52] Yeah.

[00:06:52] And just to get into the discussion or overall thoughts,

[00:06:56] that opening scene where you see all the ghosts coming in

[00:06:59] and they're presenting their ideas of their case to bring to them

[00:07:04] until we get to the Devlin house and something about an evil seagull.

[00:07:12] Well, the feet washing up on shore was something that was actually happening.

[00:07:16] I want to say in Seattle.

[00:07:19] So Portland is not and maybe it was Portland.

[00:07:21] Maybe it was Canada. It was somewhere up in that area.

[00:07:25] Like the north, the way way north or not.

[00:07:29] Yeah. Northwest.

[00:07:30] But there were feet washing up on shore like a few, like not a ton,

[00:07:35] like one or two a year for like years.

[00:07:39] Huh?

[00:07:40] So they take in reality stuff.

[00:07:42] Yeah. And I want to say they solved the case,

[00:07:45] but I don't remember the answer.

[00:07:46] Like it was like a medical school in China or something like.

[00:07:50] Interesting.

[00:07:51] Yeah. It was a weird, but it was definitely something I heard before.

[00:07:54] Now, the evil seagull I'm a little intrigued with

[00:07:57] and I don't know much about that.

[00:07:59] And I love how they because we're not the dead boy doctors.

[00:08:02] We can't resolve these issues.

[00:08:04] And then the guy with the Dorian Gray complex.

[00:08:09] The reverse.

[00:08:12] Which was interesting.

[00:08:14] I might just take a little turpentine to it.

[00:08:16] You'll be fine.

[00:08:18] Exactly.

[00:08:19] And that was our smoking gun for the,

[00:08:21] I like how there's always like, you don't realize it at the time,

[00:08:25] but there's that, you know, you put a gun in the first act,

[00:08:27] you got to use it in the last act.

[00:08:29] And there's that there was one of those last episode too.

[00:08:32] So it's kind of fun to see.

[00:08:35] Where it fits in and if you could figure it out at the end,

[00:08:38] which was pretty much something that we had,

[00:08:41] they had this stumble upon it.

[00:08:43] And it's Crystal that comes into it with her knowledge of de-gousing a VHS tape,

[00:08:48] which is not to destroy the tape,

[00:08:50] but just to erase some things that are on there that were contributing to the issue.

[00:08:56] So as we all know, everybody listeners,

[00:08:59] if you've seen it, you know,

[00:09:00] the reason why they were in a loop was because of that VHS tape from the security

[00:09:04] at the very end that was taping them that the father had set up security cameras for

[00:09:10] with the daughter to snoop in on her.

[00:09:12] And that's the whole point.

[00:09:14] And that's how the loop pretty much came into effect.

[00:09:18] But I thought it was pretty cool how they introduced that, like you said,

[00:09:22] the smoking gun or the I forget what they call it in shows and TV.

[00:09:29] I always forget.

[00:09:31] But regardless, they literally give you a clue in the very beginning

[00:09:37] and you get it at the very end.

[00:09:40] The house itself and the way the haunting was

[00:09:43] reminded me of the Amityville horror.

[00:09:45] Very much.

[00:09:46] Yeah, especially with the axe.

[00:09:48] Yeah.

[00:09:49] And the fact of the house.

[00:09:50] Minus the evil.

[00:09:52] I loved the whole when they go down to ask Jenny

[00:09:56] and she's like, you're not doing a podcast, are you?

[00:09:59] Oh, yeah, that was my favorite quote on that.

[00:10:01] My God, that cracked me up.

[00:10:04] It cracked me up too.

[00:10:05] It's like the way please tell me you're not doing a stupid podcast.

[00:10:09] And that's when because Crystal asks her about the Devlin murders.

[00:10:13] And then she wants to breaking everything down for her, explaining everything.

[00:10:17] And we get the history literally within a whole paragraph of like she went

[00:10:23] like the history, but the father did what happened.

[00:10:26] But but but and then the possible theories

[00:10:30] and then they're thrown into this kind of issues of,

[00:10:35] OK, well, the house is being torn down tomorrow.

[00:10:38] Then we got to do it in one night, which I thought was pretty cool.

[00:10:41] And to point out the music was very it was done very well within it.

[00:10:47] I've seen like the I'm not just talking about the rock music

[00:10:51] or whatever the music that was in it, but I'm talking about the themes,

[00:10:55] the orchestrated music that gives you the feel for the scene itself.

[00:11:00] So the composer was doing a very good job in it.

[00:11:04] And there are certain points where it sounded almost like I hate saying

[00:11:08] arcade ish. It sounded like an arcade game at one point.

[00:11:12] So I'm stuck with dig on that.

[00:11:14] And then but then it had its like horror elemental of

[00:11:17] with the composition itself, which I really did enjoy.

[00:11:21] So it added to the nervousness and everything that was going on,

[00:11:25] especially with the stuff that was going on with Charles.

[00:11:28] And let's talk about Charles with this whole episode when we finally get into the house.

[00:11:35] They know it's a loop and it's a loop of these murders.

[00:11:38] And we're constantly seeing the father kill over and over again.

[00:11:42] And you see in Charles's face how uncomfortable he is.

[00:11:48] And you could see the agitation in him.

[00:11:51] Now, mind you, it doesn't really affect Edwin as much,

[00:11:54] but it affects Charles very much so.

[00:11:56] And Crystal is just disturbed about it.

[00:11:59] But you can see the emotion.

[00:12:01] Crystal like watching these people get killed over and over.

[00:12:04] And like my first thought was like, oh, my God, they've been doing this for 30 years,

[00:12:08] for 30 years every what?

[00:12:10] Five minutes.

[00:12:11] Yeah.

[00:12:12] For 30 years.

[00:12:12] Like, oh my God, I couldn't fathom it.

[00:12:15] Yeah.

[00:12:16] This is like if anybody goes to like one of those haunted houses

[00:12:20] that you could actually stay over and then encounter something like this.

[00:12:23] It's very similar to that effect because they have those where you go to an Airbnb

[00:12:28] and it is haunted.

[00:12:29] And then people have incidences that where they do encounter the moaning,

[00:12:35] the walking, they see like a blurred version of a kid walking down a hall or something.

[00:12:43] They do have those, by the way.

[00:12:44] You could find them on YouTube.

[00:12:46] People do that kind of stuff out there in the world now.

[00:12:51] But you don't really see the ghosts, everybody.

[00:12:53] It's not ghost hunters.

[00:12:55] The fact is we find out with Charles though,

[00:12:58] is that the abuse in his family,

[00:13:00] and we find out that's the reason really why he was going back to see his parents

[00:13:04] because he checks in on them to make sure his mom's OK,

[00:13:07] his mom's OK, that his father's not beating up on his mother.

[00:13:12] And that's when the truth comes out.

[00:13:14] And you could see we already had the sexual tension

[00:13:17] between Crystal and Charles in the very beginning.

[00:13:20] Yeah.

[00:13:21] And that's when they could see that sort of connection

[00:13:27] and how the interest in Crystal looked.

[00:13:32] She's like, we could do that.

[00:13:35] It's like, OK.

[00:13:37] But with this, it was more of an emotional connection.

[00:13:41] So I could see these two being together and locked into that.

[00:13:47] She's got to get rid of David first.

[00:13:49] She's got to get rid of David first.

[00:13:50] And we do experience him at a certain point at the end of the movie episode.

[00:13:56] And it seems to be one of those episodes where they, like you said,

[00:14:02] they throw a lot in and we're able to take in, especially there.

[00:14:07] It was kind of I only watched the episode twice,

[00:14:10] but it was disturbing to see what she went through with David, too,

[00:14:14] because there's a moment where she relives her experiences with David.

[00:14:19] Yeah.

[00:14:20] And we saw a few things come.

[00:14:23] Some of them are a blur to me.

[00:14:24] I didn't write any of them down, but they seem like they could come up later on.

[00:14:29] Yeah.

[00:14:30] And I feel so bad for Charles because he's been with Edwin for 40 years now.

[00:14:35] Yeah.

[00:14:36] And Edwin thinks he knows him better than anybody.

[00:14:38] And Crystal was like, well, I know him better than you at this point

[00:14:41] because he told me this and Edwin had no clue.

[00:14:47] We also learned that Edwin is supposed to be like the brains

[00:14:51] and know everything that's going on.

[00:14:53] But Charles, with that magic bag, he's got some serious magic to him.

[00:14:59] He took time and he learned it, and it's a bit dangerous.

[00:15:02] Edwin can't just jump in and use that bag.

[00:15:04] That was an interesting fact.

[00:15:06] Yes.

[00:15:08] It shows that there's a certain expertise that Charles has,

[00:15:12] and I'm wondering if that comes from when he was alive.

[00:15:16] Yeah.

[00:15:17] Like his interest in the arts, something else that we don't know

[00:15:21] about Charles that we may learn later on.

[00:15:23] And he wasn't able to explore most of it because his dad was a jerk.

[00:15:29] To put it mildly.

[00:15:30] Exactly.

[00:15:32] But yeah, I just found it really cool that we get that

[00:15:34] and that's intertwined within the story

[00:15:36] and that's how they were able to resolve.

[00:15:37] But Charles at that point is stuck in the loop due to his attachments

[00:15:42] and in his issues.

[00:15:43] And that's how that loop, it sucks them in.

[00:15:48] It sucks anybody in who has the same feeling.

[00:15:51] And that was pretty interesting.

[00:15:54] And it worked well within the episode, I thought, in the story.

[00:15:57] Yeah.

[00:15:57] He said it had to be like an intense connection.

[00:15:59] Yeah.

[00:16:01] And to stand up to that dad must have taken so much out of Charles

[00:16:06] because he saw his dad, so that was the equivalent of standing up to his dad.

[00:16:10] And that's...

[00:16:12] That was a resolve, I think, for him.

[00:16:15] He was able to resolve that issue at that point

[00:16:18] where he wouldn't be hurt at a later point.

[00:16:23] And it shows a bit of a strength that he has built at this point.

[00:16:27] And usually with any character buildup, usually they show that

[00:16:31] so that at a later point he's able to do that for somebody else

[00:16:35] or help somebody else in the same situation.

[00:16:37] And I'm assuming at some point it's going to be Edwin.

[00:16:40] Possibly, yeah.

[00:16:42] We still are tiptoeing around Edwin's backstory.

[00:16:44] We don't know much at all about it.

[00:16:46] No, I'm sure that it's going to come along at a certain point.

[00:16:50] We're three episodes into eight.

[00:16:52] It could be in the fourth or fifth, for all we know,

[00:16:55] where we tap into something that is similar to what Edwin went into

[00:16:59] and then he has the same epiphany that Charles has.

[00:17:04] But I just like also talking about the whole fact of the whole crystal Charles thing.

[00:17:11] And when Nico is with Edwin, she goes,

[00:17:17] why are you always being a woman?

[00:17:18] And then leads to asking if he's Mr. Potato Head.

[00:17:24] I know if he knew Mr. Potato Head.

[00:17:27] Yeah.

[00:17:28] And then Nico pointing out the obvious to Edwin

[00:17:31] about the tension between Charles and Crystal talking about having sex.

[00:17:35] And he doesn't get it or doesn't understand it.

[00:17:39] I love like Nico was all of us with those questions.

[00:17:42] Wait, why do you do this?

[00:17:43] And why do you that?

[00:17:44] And I'm like, oh my God, she's me.

[00:17:46] And then he's like, no, yes.

[00:17:47] Yes.

[00:17:48] Yes.

[00:17:48] No.

[00:17:53] And he answers everything like in succession of what she asked and it worked.

[00:18:03] Yeah.

[00:18:04] Oh, man.

[00:18:05] But we do get an appearance by Esther.

[00:18:08] Yeah, she was at the butcher shop.

[00:18:10] Yeah.

[00:18:10] And now the question is,

[00:18:12] has she and Jenny seem to have a relationship?

[00:18:16] Yes.

[00:18:17] Jenny knew who she was.

[00:18:18] So has she been going to this butcher shop longer than Crystal's been living there?

[00:18:24] Or is this a new thing to show dominance to Esther?

[00:18:28] And now I'm also curious if Jenny's got some supernatural to her.

[00:18:32] Like there is a whole lot going on in just this little scene,

[00:18:35] or a whole lot of questions coming out of this scene.

[00:18:37] I would say yeah, it's very interesting.

[00:18:41] I think she was in town.

[00:18:43] She's always been going to that butcher shop.

[00:18:45] So she knows Jenny on a regular basis, I think with Esther.

[00:18:51] They seem very familiar.

[00:18:53] I don't know how close, but it also makes me think, all right, well,

[00:18:58] Esther's a witch.

[00:19:00] Jenny's kind of goth and dark.

[00:19:03] Maybe she knows her for something that she needed at one point, which was.

[00:19:09] And they said, and Esther said that she made a deal with Lilith for immortality.

[00:19:14] Correct.

[00:19:16] And I forget what Lilith is.

[00:19:19] Lilith is something.

[00:19:21] Lilith is.

[00:19:22] A white-eyed demon who was at one point human.

[00:19:26] Oh, this is supernatural.

[00:19:30] Lilith is supposedly before Eve, like the Adam and Eve story.

[00:19:34] Lilith came, unless I'm completely,

[00:19:36] it's been a minute since I've looked this up, but Lilith supposedly came before Eve

[00:19:43] and was built to be equal to Adam.

[00:19:47] And Adam didn't like this, so she got banished.

[00:19:50] And then he made Eve to be his subordinate.

[00:19:52] So that's why there was the Lilith Fair in the 90s.

[00:19:55] Lilith is like this woman equality stand up for your women power,

[00:20:01] but also I believe pictured as demonic.

[00:20:04] But since then, women have embraced her.

[00:20:09] Yeah, it's something there's so many songs written about Lilith, which is very interesting.

[00:20:16] A lot of them.

[00:20:17] Unfortunately, everybody is through the dark side.

[00:20:19] So if you listen to bands like the current, it's called Karner.

[00:20:28] They're a Swiss British Swiss Thresh death metal band.

[00:20:33] And they had one daughter of Lilith, meaning something of evil and things of that nature.

[00:20:39] They also have it in Cradle of Filth and a whole bunch of others.

[00:20:44] It's something that's historical.

[00:20:46] It's biblical.

[00:20:47] Well, it's not in the Bible.

[00:20:49] It's not in the Bible, but yeah, it's something that's been written that people know of.

[00:20:55] Yeah, I forget exactly.

[00:20:57] One say it's Jewish, but I'm not positive.

[00:21:03] I am not Jewish, so I'm not sure entirely.

[00:21:07] It's like, I don't know.

[00:21:09] It's like Lilith Supernatural DC Comics.

[00:21:11] They actually have it in DC Comics.

[00:21:14] She's a known there's like anything else for lack of a better word.

[00:21:20] Urban Legend.

[00:21:22] Urban Legend isn't accurate, but I'm not coming up with a better word.

[00:21:27] Anything else with a lore?

[00:21:28] There we go.

[00:21:29] That is true.

[00:21:30] There's a lot of different stories and different ways it goes.

[00:21:33] Well, I've seen something considering that this is a gaming-esque kind of show

[00:21:41] that they have in here.

[00:21:44] DC Comics had done something within Supernatural Rising Sun number one.

[00:21:51] Lilith was the first demon Lucifer created and the final seal of the 66 seals that he

[00:21:56] had to be broken for him to be freed from his cage.

[00:21:59] But it might not be anything that's related to whatever gaming does.

[00:22:06] That was created by Eric Kripke, but yeah, there's something more Supernatural around it.

[00:22:13] It's been around for a long, long time.

[00:22:19] I first saw it.

[00:22:20] I was trying to look it up and I'm like the first thing that comes up is the TV show

[00:22:23] Supernatural.

[00:22:24] I'm like wrong thing completely.

[00:22:27] I'm sure Steve will probably pipe in because that's one of his favorite shows.

[00:22:31] So if he had any feedback regarding that, he'll probably bring that up.

[00:22:36] But yeah, it's something that's been around and it's kind of in reference to,

[00:22:41] like you said, to what you were bringing up about regarding the first equal to

[00:22:49] Adam instead of Eve.

[00:22:51] Yeah, she's always been like a badass.

[00:22:57] Rebel woman.

[00:23:00] The best women always are.

[00:23:03] But I just love how the fact that Esther came to that butcher shop and she's just

[00:23:08] there to antagonize Crystal and Charles literally before they leave.

[00:23:13] But it was funny how it's like, I thought the storm was going to be something crucial,

[00:23:17] but it really wasn't altogether.

[00:23:19] It just set the tone.

[00:23:20] It just gave us some Nico.

[00:23:22] It set a really cool tone, like a really good haunted house tone.

[00:23:26] And then gave us some gave Nico a reason to be strong.

[00:23:31] It gave us some comic relief with Nico.

[00:23:34] Correct.

[00:23:34] And also for the fact that she was stuck inside and they left her there with the

[00:23:39] sprites and well, it wasn't safe for her.

[00:23:42] Well, it's kind of like leaving somebody from a Scooby gang or even like if you

[00:23:49] guys watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer, they had the Scoobies in that Nico's part

[00:23:53] of this group now in some respect.

[00:23:56] She's already had that encounter and walking off with Edwin and helping him.

[00:24:00] And then they wind up requesting her because the only thing that she's got going for

[00:24:06] her is that she could actually interact with Charles and Edwin.

[00:24:11] And she doesn't have any fancy powers or anything like Crystal.

[00:24:16] And that's what the sprites were literally talking about and putting her down.

[00:24:20] And then she just throws the sweater on.

[00:24:22] I was like, oh, no.

[00:24:28] They're the intrusive thoughts that you have.

[00:24:32] The embodiment of intrusive thoughts.

[00:24:34] Yeah, yeah.

[00:24:36] Yeah, the thoughts in the back of your head, they just don't bring up.

[00:24:39] And I just love how we do get the sprites names.

[00:24:42] I don't remember if we got them before, but I took them down.

[00:24:44] Kingham and Liddy.

[00:24:46] So and you can tell they are definitely married.

[00:24:50] That's the way they interact.

[00:24:55] Oh, man.

[00:24:58] But the one thing that I picked up was that it was them trying to antagonize her.

[00:25:07] And really what it does set forth within the character of Nico gives her motivation

[00:25:11] to be more involved.

[00:25:12] And I just love how at the very end she does show up with a pot and she's got a

[00:25:15] crowbar and she's banging them together.

[00:25:19] Yeah, I love her and her crowbar.

[00:25:21] That was like the cutest thing.

[00:25:24] I thought that was pretty cool.

[00:25:26] And I love how Monty at the very end as he's hitting on because we get

[00:25:32] with their encounter with Monty in the very beginning, I forgot what it was.

[00:25:36] He had like a near he says that he had a near death experience or something.

[00:25:39] And that's the way the reason why he was able to see ghosts at this point.

[00:25:46] So that that was his excuse.

[00:25:49] Was it a drowning?

[00:25:51] I think it was.

[00:25:51] Drowning.

[00:25:52] Yeah.

[00:25:53] Yeah.

[00:25:54] And he.

[00:25:55] But he came up.

[00:25:56] I mean, even if I didn't know he wasn't trustworthy, I feel like I wouldn't trust him.

[00:26:01] Like he just feels a little.

[00:26:03] Yeah.

[00:26:03] And he seemed a little bit forward to his intentions with Edwin.

[00:26:08] And yeah, and he just like lean more towards it, not even anywhere near Nico.

[00:26:12] But he was like, oh, you're Sagittarius.

[00:26:14] He's got his books about stars and astrology, and he was going to do a reading on him.

[00:26:20] And then he winds up doing that reading for him.

[00:26:22] And at the very end we see him and he kind of shrugs off Charles.

[00:26:27] And wouldn't shake his hand.

[00:26:29] I wonder if that something.

[00:26:31] That is interesting.

[00:26:32] Maybe he doesn't.

[00:26:33] His hands were gloved.

[00:26:35] Yeah.

[00:26:36] So I noted that he refused to shake his hand like that was maybe that stuck out to me.

[00:26:43] But he is totally going to break Edwin's heart.

[00:26:45] But particularly Charles's hand.

[00:26:49] Think about it.

[00:26:50] So something must be there that he knows about Charles.

[00:26:54] I'm trying to think.

[00:26:56] I'm trying to think back to how he was made.

[00:26:57] I don't remember anything from either of the boys was left behind,

[00:27:00] could have been left behind.

[00:27:02] You know, like when the spell was made or the potions were made to make Monty.

[00:27:07] Yeah.

[00:27:09] Something to go back and rewatch real quick.

[00:27:11] Yeah.

[00:27:14] Yeah, the kind of gel together with the story and with the characters.

[00:27:20] Now we got to talk about crystals X, the demon a little bit.

[00:27:26] I was thinking the demon and the race.

[00:27:28] We need to race.

[00:27:29] It was a misery race, was it not?

[00:27:31] I believe.

[00:27:33] I believe so.

[00:27:34] Did I write that down?

[00:27:36] And how, yeah, he wanted to go into crystal's body and to take care of the race.

[00:27:45] So, yeah, so he is still so tied to her.

[00:27:47] He knows exactly what she's doing at any time.

[00:27:50] Exactly.

[00:27:50] Even though he was stuck at a roller rink with a bunch of girls and scaring them.

[00:27:57] Yeah.

[00:27:57] And he got bored of that.

[00:27:59] And good on her for not only fighting him off, but not giving the race any extra power.

[00:28:07] Like she was able to fight off two demons at the same time, basically.

[00:28:12] Yeah.

[00:28:13] Like that's pretty darn impressive.

[00:28:16] Yeah, it is.

[00:28:17] It's really impressive and I did enjoy that.

[00:28:20] It gives you more faith into what crystal brings to the group

[00:28:24] and what she could bring later on.

[00:28:26] I'm just hoping she's able to get rid of this.

[00:28:28] I have a funny feeling by the end of this season, we're going to see

[00:28:33] some sort of resolve with one of the characters over something.

[00:28:38] I hope she gets her memories back or is at least he lets them go,

[00:28:42] even if it sets us up for a season two where she's got to go find her

[00:28:45] memory somewhere else that he is no longer the one controlling them.

[00:28:50] Yes.

[00:28:51] Because that's the only reason she is allowing him any access to her.

[00:28:57] That is true.

[00:28:58] Is because he has her memory.

[00:28:59] She doesn't know who she is or where she comes from.

[00:29:01] She doesn't know her name's crystal.

[00:29:08] Yeah.

[00:29:09] And then we I was hoping we would get to see death, but no,

[00:29:15] it's too soon after the first episode.

[00:29:18] I think somewhere in the middle will probably maybe next episode.

[00:29:22] I'm thinking it was still cool to look out and see the different.

[00:29:25] Now, what was interesting was when we see like we've only seen,

[00:29:30] I don't know that we've ever seen anybody willfully bet like a true bad person before.

[00:29:37] And I don't know if this is screwing up the game and lore

[00:29:40] because we always whenever we see death, you know, it's like,

[00:29:42] well, what's waiting for me?

[00:29:43] And they're just like, you're going to find out.

[00:29:47] Like, we never know what's going to happen to them.

[00:29:50] Yeah.

[00:29:51] For people who are.

[00:29:52] Murderers at the time of their death, like just bad people.

[00:29:58] And that dad seemed to be bad all around.

[00:30:01] Oh, yeah.

[00:30:03] You know, is it different?

[00:30:05] We've only seen death as a good and welcoming.

[00:30:09] If not welcoming, like.

[00:30:12] Just a sweet person to meet up with, like exactly who you want in that moment.

[00:30:18] And that's what happened.

[00:30:19] Like you could see the beautifulness for when the girls went to the other side

[00:30:25] and then the red or the dad, imagining that, you know, hell just opened up.

[00:30:32] But I'm interested to see if that continues as we get these things solved.

[00:30:36] If there's going to be another, you know.

[00:30:40] It's not really murder mystery.

[00:30:41] We know what happened in the murder.

[00:30:42] We know who was guilty, but it's going to be interesting to see

[00:30:46] if this play the different if we see death, even a vision of death and a version of it.

[00:30:52] Like I thought it was cool.

[00:30:54] And also on the other side, while we're talking about this.

[00:30:59] So.

[00:31:01] They talk to.

[00:31:05] Is it that lost and found department or whatever it is?

[00:31:07] Yeah, I had it written down.

[00:31:09] I was trying to remember the name.

[00:31:10] It's in my notes from the last episode, but.

[00:31:14] Oh, yeah, it's still lost and found department.

[00:31:16] Found Department of the Afterlife.

[00:31:17] OK, that's it.

[00:31:18] Yeah. So the the girls.

[00:31:21] But there's only two of them, not three of them, which I found interesting.

[00:31:24] We're two daughters and a mom.

[00:31:26] I think there was two daughters and a mom.

[00:31:28] The father at this point was probably dissolved or down in hell

[00:31:33] or down in hell, wherever he led to believe he's he's in hell.

[00:31:37] Was mine. At least that was my impression of it.

[00:31:39] Same here like Edwin seemed to know exactly what was happening.

[00:31:43] Yeah. Well, because there was that big red glow from the top floor

[00:31:48] where he shoots himself in the head.

[00:31:50] And it was like the rainbowy, glowy stuff at the bottom.

[00:31:53] Correct. Yeah.

[00:31:54] So it's a possibility that the mother had gone to heaven.

[00:31:58] Right.

[00:31:59] The two girls were left in limbo but went straight to that department

[00:32:04] because they were blatantly murdered.

[00:32:07] Yeah. And it said, where did it say?

[00:32:08] The children are slippery somewhere in there.

[00:32:10] There was a quote. Children are slippery.

[00:32:12] Yes.

[00:32:12] When they were talking about.

[00:32:14] So it could have been just the two girls going because mom went right.

[00:32:16] That's a good, I didn't think of that because I was just like,

[00:32:18] why aren't all three of them together?

[00:32:20] Like, why did they get split up?

[00:32:22] Very true.

[00:32:23] If I were speaking as a mom, you know, the worst possible thing

[00:32:31] would be seeing your kids get killed and then you have like 30 seconds of,

[00:32:34] oh my God, we're okay.

[00:32:35] We're gonna, we're gonna be okay.

[00:32:38] Like this is all finally over.

[00:32:39] And then death comes, ushers you to the other side.

[00:32:42] And now I don't have my kids again.

[00:32:46] Yeah, it's kind of sad.

[00:32:51] It's sad.

[00:32:51] Definitely.

[00:32:53] But yeah, so I'm interested in why they're if we're going to find out

[00:32:56] why there's only two of them, but we keep getting answers to things.

[00:33:00] Slowly, slowly, but not episode.

[00:33:03] We're getting little by little.

[00:33:04] Like, we know we're getting real money now.

[00:33:08] What was that payment when they have to pay them?

[00:33:11] Payment is real money.

[00:33:12] Okay.

[00:33:13] Because Crystal was like, ah, let's talk about payment for those of us

[00:33:16] who have to pay a rent check.

[00:33:19] That's right.

[00:33:19] Like, let's pick the person who can pay and the other,

[00:33:21] and that was real money.

[00:33:22] So it was interesting.

[00:33:23] So we got the answer to that question.

[00:33:25] Okay.

[00:33:27] So we're getting, we're getting answers, which I really like.

[00:33:32] It makes me curious though.

[00:33:34] Now we, if it's real money and we know that Edwin and Charles could take on

[00:33:39] guises of people to be seen in the real world, maybe in London, where they paid for

[00:33:47] where they were doing their detective agency out of.

[00:33:51] Maybe it was a real detective agency at one point.

[00:33:54] Yeah.

[00:33:55] And they were taking real money and doing it as ghosts.

[00:33:58] And then.

[00:33:59] Yeah.

[00:34:00] You know, they were getting real money and keep it.

[00:34:03] That was a real space that they were keeping up and paying rent on.

[00:34:06] Correct.

[00:34:07] So yeah, like I said, like we keep getting little answers.

[00:34:10] So I'm curious if we're going to find out what happened with them.

[00:34:13] I'm assuming we're going to see a little more interview with them

[00:34:18] because they had that interesting story.

[00:34:20] And if those, those poor girls, if they knew

[00:34:22] how much they were screwing over those boys.

[00:34:25] Yeah.

[00:34:25] Cause they didn't know.

[00:34:27] They thought they were basically giving praise to their manager.

[00:34:34] You know, they thought they were writing a good Google review.

[00:34:37] Yelp or whatever.

[00:34:41] Oh, the one thing that we didn't discuss though,

[00:34:44] which I did enjoy and seeing them again is the cats.

[00:34:47] They do make appearances like he, Edwin gets when he first meets Monty,

[00:34:52] he sees the cats and he's like being distracted.

[00:34:55] He's trying to count them.

[00:34:56] Yeah.

[00:34:56] Which is another question that we had from last episode that is being answered.

[00:35:00] He is in fact, trying to count the cats.

[00:35:03] Yeah.

[00:35:04] What was it?

[00:35:04] Did he say like 59?

[00:35:06] Yeah.

[00:35:06] He went through like certain amount of numbers and then he goes, I lost track

[00:35:09] because it's Monty.

[00:35:11] And then the cats do show up at the house, the haunted house.

[00:35:15] Yeah.

[00:35:15] They were watching.

[00:35:16] They were watching as they always do.

[00:35:18] And it was a, it was a, a guy cat and a woman cat.

[00:35:24] And they were like making comments about, oh, this is going to go well.

[00:35:28] Oh no, they're going to screw it up.

[00:35:29] Yeah.

[00:35:32] But they were watching for a reason.

[00:35:34] And I think that reason was the cat king.

[00:35:38] Yeah.

[00:35:38] The cat king is having him having tabs kept on them.

[00:35:41] Yeah.

[00:35:42] So that, that's still in play for the overall story arc of the season,

[00:35:48] as I like to say, because there's always some, you got the overall story

[00:35:53] that starts it and ends it, which would be Crystal and the boys themselves with

[00:35:57] the cat king.

[00:35:59] And then, and obviously Crystal's issue with her boyfriend.

[00:36:03] Yes.

[00:36:04] And then the rest is all the things that they encounter,

[00:36:08] which is every case that they take up every episode.

[00:36:13] And then finding out a little bit about them in between, obviously with every case,

[00:36:18] it seems to be an ongoing thing.

[00:36:20] And we got, and more of the Lost and Found department, like the bureaucracy that is the

[00:36:26] undead.

[00:36:27] And with them talking, they realized, or they have a theory that there are just too many people.

[00:36:35] And that's why the department is losing track of people and they're taking advantage of that.

[00:36:41] And we see that with the notary, like the notary's like, look, look how backed up we

[00:36:45] are. I'm not cutting you any breaks.

[00:36:47] Like, do it right.

[00:36:49] It's paperwork.

[00:36:51] But it's such a bureaucracy, which was brilliant.

[00:36:55] It's everywhere.

[00:36:57] It's not just in the real world, it's also in the dead world.

[00:37:01] And that's why you don't mess with a notary as it states on the placard when it comes up

[00:37:08] with that scene.

[00:37:11] But like they have to find a two kilometer radius to be able to get to the boys.

[00:37:17] Yeah, they have to pinpoint and they have to have an exact location.

[00:37:21] Yeah.

[00:37:21] It was not a generalized.

[00:37:23] Yeah.

[00:37:24] I didn't write down.

[00:37:25] I wrote two kilometer, but I think it's only 24 hours or something like that.

[00:37:29] Like they don't get to just hang out in that area.

[00:37:33] So if there's maybe the ghosts do know where the detective agency is because the

[00:37:38] other ghosts found them.

[00:37:41] So they might know where the butcher is.

[00:37:45] Yeah.

[00:37:45] Interesting.

[00:37:47] Well, the.

[00:37:49] They were the ushered to the other side so quickly.

[00:37:52] Yeah, the Department of the Afterlife, though, the lost and found department of

[00:37:57] the afterlife.

[00:37:58] It's funny how they can't find Edwin and Charles, but all the other ghosts did

[00:38:05] because word of mouth, because they're trying to hide away a lot of those ghosts

[00:38:09] are trying to hide away from the lost and found department of the afterlife.

[00:38:13] They're trying to hide away from death and death as well.

[00:38:17] But they also got that information probably from the postman himself,

[00:38:23] and that's how they were able to get that information to.

[00:38:27] Well, I mean, that's the thing I'm worried.

[00:38:29] I'm wondering because they weren't hanging around for very long.

[00:38:33] Like their aunt is the one who got the boys there.

[00:38:38] Yes.

[00:38:38] They were caught in this loop.

[00:38:39] They she just recently died and then she knew something was going on and

[00:38:45] she wanted to go back and she felt the entity force within the house.

[00:38:49] Yeah, she went to see the house one more time.

[00:38:52] She was a ghost and then she couldn't go.

[00:38:54] She crossed over and she heard the screams.

[00:38:57] She didn't want to go in.

[00:38:59] She felt that there was something horrible going on in there,

[00:39:02] which I wonder it was the wraith that she was feeling or just the loop.

[00:39:05] I'm not sure what she was feeling.

[00:39:08] It would be hard to I would say she would more she would feel it more from

[00:39:14] the loop because the wraith didn't really come into play until Charles was there.

[00:39:21] It didn't really make it, but it didn't make its presence really known until Charles was involved

[00:39:29] because it was feeding on the fear of the girls downstairs.

[00:39:33] Correct.

[00:39:33] Now all of a sudden it had new food to try.

[00:39:36] Exactly.

[00:39:38] Yeah, it's like something out of Resident Evil with all the stuff.

[00:39:42] Yeah, that was cool.

[00:39:43] I really liked it.

[00:39:46] So they're stuck in this loop.

[00:39:47] They don't know anything about anything going on in the afterlife.

[00:39:50] They don't have a chance like every five minutes they're dying again.

[00:39:54] Yeah.

[00:39:55] And then it stopped like the loop is stopped.

[00:40:01] They realize okay, they're not going to continue to die.

[00:40:06] Everything's going to be okay.

[00:40:07] Well, as okay as it can be in death and then death comes within a minute.

[00:40:13] Like, did they have a chance to find out where the detective agency is?

[00:40:17] Like do you automatically get a download of all this information when you die?

[00:40:21] I don't know.

[00:40:21] I'm just curious.

[00:40:22] We don't have this answer.

[00:40:23] We don't.

[00:40:24] Yeah, we don't.

[00:40:25] I'm assuming because where they're found because it's like

[00:40:28] border mouth from other ghosts, I think.

[00:40:32] It's like, oh, hold on.

[00:40:33] Did you hear about this?

[00:40:34] Yes.

[00:40:34] I'm going.

[00:40:35] Where are you going?

[00:40:35] I'm going to it's like, and that's why they had aligned.

[00:40:37] What I'm saying is they didn't have a chance to talk to anyone yet.

[00:40:40] Hmm.

[00:40:42] Like they went from loop to, oh my God, okay, it's over.

[00:40:48] Hey, there's death ushering us to the other side.

[00:40:50] Like unless maybe their aunt stopped by.

[00:40:57] Oh, a deleted scene.

[00:40:58] Who knows?

[00:40:59] Yeah.

[00:41:00] Or maybe something that comes out in another future episode just through

[00:41:05] and it'll be one of those things where they just mention it.

[00:41:09] Yeah, I'm kind of taking this like we keep getting answers to things that

[00:41:12] aren't big deal questions like stuff.

[00:41:14] A lot of other shows lost would just let go and you never get the answer to.

[00:41:19] Yeah, they know how to at least explain something.

[00:41:23] It's like a comic book addendum that they have at the very bottom start out.

[00:41:27] It's like issue number one.

[00:41:30] Yes, that's perfect.

[00:41:32] Yes, that's exactly what goes on.

[00:41:36] Uh, but yeah, overall I did enjoy it.

[00:41:39] We got a lot of cool, a lot of interesting things.

[00:41:42] We got to know a lot more about Charles, which I liked and, you know, it's sad,

[00:41:48] but it's getting to know the character and the character development.

[00:41:52] I do enjoy and the story progressing.

[00:41:56] So now that we see at the very end with Nico coming into play trying to help them,

[00:42:00] she's feeling that she wants to be more part of the team.

[00:42:03] So I'm hoping by the next episode, she's more involved.

[00:42:07] Yeah.

[00:42:08] And then I think she's going to be pretty much more of the comic relief.

[00:42:12] Which is okay.

[00:42:13] Which I don't mind at all and I love it.

[00:42:16] She's a good funny girl to Edwin straight guy.

[00:42:19] Exactly.

[00:42:20] Well, yeah, not so straight guys.

[00:42:22] Yeah, but it's pretty funny what Nico says to Edwin saying you do know that two

[00:42:26] boys can like one another like that, right?

[00:42:29] I have manga.

[00:42:30] It can be explicit.

[00:42:32] It's really sweet or whatever, because I had that as one of my quotes.

[00:42:38] I thought that was cute.

[00:42:39] I didn't get the whole thing down, but I thought that it was like just to get an idea

[00:42:43] of it, but the fact that she mentions it, but she also mentions the fact of how

[00:42:48] her white hair came to Bay and things of that nature.

[00:42:51] Yeah.

[00:42:52] Between her and the sprites in the jar.

[00:42:58] And those sprites are going to come in handy at a later point.

[00:43:00] I have a funny feeling they're going to get let out of that jar.

[00:43:03] Yeah, something's going to happen with them.

[00:43:04] They're going to be utilized to some degree, probably against the cats.

[00:43:09] Oh, maybe.

[00:43:14] And they'll be like, oh, where are their helpful little partners now?

[00:43:20] So I'm looking forward to something like that.

[00:43:23] I enjoyed the idea of like the song that had to be on a loop

[00:43:27] was owner of a lonely heart by yes.

[00:43:32] Because everyone we've got all of our characters are owners of lonely hearts.

[00:43:37] Very true.

[00:43:38] And Charles actually brings it up how I guess one of his flatmates or

[00:43:42] one of his roommates at university or school was playing it over and over and over again.

[00:43:48] He was playing it over and over again himself, and his dad smashed the cassette.

[00:43:52] Oh, that's what it was.

[00:43:53] I got it backwards.

[00:43:54] Yeah, that was one of our first signs that his dad was a little loopy

[00:43:59] because Chris was like, wait, your dad smashed it.

[00:44:04] And that song came out in 1983, everybody just to let you know.

[00:44:09] The only other song that we had in it was oceans by the yada yada yada's.

[00:44:15] That was in the episode.

[00:44:16] So and like I said, everybody, I'm sure you're sure I haven't even looked.

[00:44:20] I should look now, but I'm pretty sure this Spotify playlist for the dead boy

[00:44:25] detectives out there.

[00:44:27] I'm sure there is.

[00:44:28] Yeah, I'm pretty sure there is too.

[00:44:30] But yeah, that's all I had for quotes and everything.

[00:44:35] I think I had a few more.

[00:44:36] That's all I have for notes.

[00:44:37] I got a few more quotes.

[00:44:38] Go ahead.

[00:44:40] I didn't separate them out.

[00:44:42] Nico, well, you could really feel the sexual electricity

[00:44:45] when they were talking about having sex with each other.

[00:44:52] Just a little advice.

[00:44:55] This town doesn't actually make for good neighbors.

[00:45:02] Oh, the cats.

[00:45:04] Do you think the girl and the dark haired one are going to hook up?

[00:45:06] Take this seriously.

[00:45:07] OK, but also, yeah, they'll hit it.

[00:45:12] I like the use of they'll hit it.

[00:45:13] I thought that we had a lot of different wording for sex this episode,

[00:45:18] like body count and all the different stuff from different generations.

[00:45:22] It was kind of funny.

[00:45:25] I feel like I have.

[00:45:28] Oh, Nico, I just have a very rational fear of death.

[00:45:33] Yeah, well, that's everybody.

[00:45:35] Yeah, that's all I had.

[00:45:37] There is a definitely a dead boy detectives radio artist playlist and songs.

[00:45:44] That's on Spotify.

[00:45:45] So if you guys want, you could go check that out.

[00:45:52] Yeah, and it's like listen to simple code on Spotify.

[00:45:56] That boy detectives album, 2021, 14 songs.

[00:45:59] I don't know why it's 2021, but there is also Netflix soundtracks to 2024.

[00:46:08] So I'm pretty sure there's probably going to be one

[00:46:12] on one of those companies that sell it online, you know, a vinyl and stuff like that.

[00:46:18] Kind of like how they do it.

[00:46:19] Stranger things.

[00:46:23] Yeah, it's called Dead Boys Radio.

[00:46:26] But to talk a little bit more about like music and how it plays a part of the character,

[00:46:37] not only with the show and during the episode, but also the characters.

[00:46:43] Look at Charles.

[00:46:44] Look at what he has on his jacket.

[00:46:48] He's got a lot of patches and everything that show for the timeline that he was in.

[00:46:53] So he's got one of those comedian style buttons on his jacket,

[00:47:00] but it's not really of the smiley face of Have a Nice Day.

[00:47:03] It's kind of like a smug smiley from that time.

[00:47:06] He was very punk rock.

[00:47:06] He was very 80s punk rock.

[00:47:08] Correct.

[00:47:09] And it's got an African flag kind of button there with the colors of the flag from Africa,

[00:47:14] which was a big thing in the 80s as well.

[00:47:18] He also has a ska button.

[00:47:22] So everything about like ska music is still part of the time.

[00:47:27] Yep.

[00:47:30] And he's got a Rude Boys patch on his shoulder.

[00:47:36] And there's other patches on that says Brills and In It and Oi.

[00:47:42] So I was trying to look into them and focus in and zoom in on some of that stuff.

[00:47:49] But yeah, it just makes you want to know more about Charles.

[00:47:57] Yeah, I want to know more about everybody.

[00:48:01] But yeah, that's all I had about the episode.

[00:48:06] Yeah, covered everything I have to.

[00:48:09] Same thing with me.

[00:48:11] But as always, I do enjoy the show now.

[00:48:16] I'm like really immersed in the sense of like, I'm ready to watch the next episode.

[00:48:21] Not right now, probably, but it makes me want to watch the next episode.

[00:48:25] I did that last week after we finished recording.

[00:48:27] I went down and watched their next episode right away.

[00:48:31] I'm excited for the next one.

[00:48:34] It's always good to watch it right after we finish this.

[00:48:37] And then that way you just do another rewatch to go over everything.

[00:48:40] I think it kind of brings out more of what you're looking for too.

[00:48:44] So you're not always turning away.

[00:48:46] You pick up on the stuff that you were just talking about.

[00:48:50] Correct.

[00:48:52] Or if you even go back and rewatch certain episodes too.

[00:48:55] So that's how we feel and that's what we do when we do this kind of stuff, people.

[00:49:00] So if you do the same thing, let us know.

[00:49:05] As far as feedback, we didn't get any feedback.

[00:49:07] We didn't even get anything from Steve yet.

[00:49:10] So it might not have been.

[00:49:12] It's okay.

[00:49:12] There's always next week.

[00:49:14] It's always next week.

[00:49:15] And like I said, I'm pretty sure Steve will send something our way.

[00:49:19] He was probably jazzed in the fact that he and I recorded for the first time in a long time again.

[00:49:26] And I mentioned it earlier.

[00:49:28] We did Dark Matter.

[00:49:30] That's on Apple TV+.

[00:49:31] So we're covering that on another podcast.

[00:49:34] But yeah, I'm pretty sure he'll come back with something.

[00:49:39] But for now, for anybody who wants to submit any feedback.

[00:49:47] You can send us an email or a voice message at talk at podcastica.com.

[00:49:55] If you head to pod has good.com, there's a handy voice message link

[00:49:58] and you can check us out on social media, facebook.com slash podcast,

[00:50:02] podcastica, twitter slash X at podcastica and Instagram at house podcast.

[00:50:09] And while you're there, if you haven't already checked out the other podcast

[00:50:14] on the podcast, get a network like run for your lives.

[00:50:18] And their recent episode that's up right now is annihilation.

[00:50:23] And you could also look at what is it?

[00:50:30] Welcome to the apocalypse with Randy and that one's so much fun.

[00:50:34] It's so much fun.

[00:50:35] So if you guys like improv kind of storytelling, it's pretty cool.

[00:50:41] And the last episode I got to listen to, they have a new one out already.

[00:50:43] I hadn't listened to it yet, but the last one, our friend Jeff was on it.

[00:50:48] And I had a really good time listening to him.

[00:50:51] And it was based within an amusement park before that.

[00:50:53] They actually had an episode where it was podcast land or something where

[00:50:57] Jason and Lucy played a bunch of podcasters.

[00:51:01] And I thought that was pretty cool.

[00:51:04] We also have revisited, we have to go back with Ben and Kristen and their coverage of Ted Lasso.

[00:51:16] And I think they kind of took a break because of fan expo Philly.

[00:51:22] Which was an excellent time.

[00:51:24] That you went to, Jamie.

[00:51:25] And there's so much more, obviously still slaying a Buffy verse podcast.

[00:51:34] There's extraordinary cast with Penny and Greg.

[00:51:40] I don't know if they wrap that up completely yet,

[00:51:42] but I was trying to listen along as I was watching the episodes.

[00:51:46] But I wound up binge watching all the way.

[00:51:48] I did the same thing.

[00:51:49] I ended up watching the whole show.

[00:51:51] I wound up watching it and then I went back to start listening again.

[00:51:54] Yep, I did the same thing.

[00:51:57] But you can find that all you have to do is go to podcastka.com

[00:52:01] and you'll see all the links including ours for all the different podcasts that are on there.

[00:52:06] So just go to podcastka.com.

[00:52:09] And if you know of a friend that likes the stuff that we talk about,

[00:52:12] please let them know word amount.

[00:52:14] And that would be awesome.

[00:52:16] If you want to be part of an awesome group,

[00:52:20] you could join the Patreon that Jason has, which is,

[00:52:24] all you have to do is go to patreon.com

[00:52:28] and basically set it up if you pay, I think introductory fee is like $5.

[00:52:35] I think you have $5 to get in the Facebook group.

[00:52:37] I think $2 gets you something.

[00:52:39] I don't know what.

[00:52:41] And then 10 bucks gives you a little bit more.

[00:52:44] And it's worth it.

[00:52:46] We got some really, really, really cool people.

[00:52:48] Yeah, you get amongst all the messenger groups that are out there.

[00:52:52] If you're watching a show, chances are we have a group talking about it.

[00:52:55] Or somebody will create a message group about it.

[00:52:57] So if you feel like you have nobody to talk about these shows with,

[00:53:01] well, you could join a group if you would like.

[00:53:04] Even shows that the network doesn't cover people are creating threads to talk about shows.

[00:53:09] Yeah, yeah.

[00:53:10] Or stuff that we are on and sometimes like,

[00:53:14] I do another podcast like I mentioned,

[00:53:16] but sometimes I pull people for that just to have fun, to talk about other things.

[00:53:21] I do Adrenaline Cinema Podcast, which right now we're doing a collaborative podcast with

[00:53:28] Podcastica.

[00:53:29] So it's Adrenaline Cinema Podcast and Podcastica.

[00:53:32] And we're covering Interview with the Vampire.

[00:53:35] That's on AMC Plus now for the second season.

[00:53:37] So we're doing that episode to episode.

[00:53:39] So that's something that you'll see listed on House Podcastica, that feed.

[00:53:45] So if you're interested in listening to that talk about that show, we're covering that.

[00:53:50] We have Lara, Danny and myself.

[00:53:53] And I believe Lara will be on eventually to jump on and talk about the show.

[00:53:59] Right now we're going to have one episode out this coming week.

[00:54:03] Right now we're recording this on a Monday.

[00:54:05] We're recording that particular episode for episode one for season two tomorrow night,

[00:54:11] which is Tuesday the 14th.

[00:54:13] So hopefully you'll listen to this and then just go to that one if you like the show,

[00:54:20] because I know I do.

[00:54:22] But other than that, that's pretty much our episode, isn't it, Jamie?

[00:54:28] I believe that's it.

[00:54:31] Next week we will be covering season one, episode four,

[00:54:35] The Case of the Lighthouse Leapers.

[00:54:38] Awesome.

[00:54:38] I like lighthouses.

[00:54:39] I'm in.

[00:54:40] Cool.

[00:54:43] Pleasant dreams or unpleasant nightmares, everyone.

[00:54:46] Take care.

[00:54:47] Thank you.

[00:54:48] Good night.

[00:54:49] Good night.
