[00:00:00] Psst, shh, ahsoka, Andor, The Mandalorian, Podcastica
[00:00:07] Everybody, welcome to our podcast. I'm Daphne. And I'm Peyton. And this is Star Wars TV Cast episode 66.
[00:01:04] This week we are covering Skeleton Crew season one, hopefully, of more to come. We don't know, still, no word. Episode seven, so the penultimate episode of this series.
[00:01:18] Season at least. We're gonna be in so much trouble.
[00:01:22] I can't imagine these four kids in any trouble whatsoever.
[00:01:26] I remember when I opened up Disney Plus last night, like right at eight o'clock when the episode dropped and it was available and I pulled it up and saw the episode title before hitting play. And I just chuckled to myself and I like, not exactly sure who was gonna give the title, but I said it in just kind of that kid voice.
[00:01:46] Like, I read it out loud. I was like, we're gonna be in so much trouble.
[00:01:51] I was like, yeah, I already see where this is. That's perfect. I love it.
[00:01:55] Yeah. I mean, I was pretty sure it was gonna be one of the kids. And honestly, I had it down between two of them and one of them is the one that said it. I just had a feeling that it would be either Fern or Wim that came through with that line. So they didn't disappoint at all.
[00:02:13] Cool. So what were your like overall thoughts on this one? I mean, we're talking about episode seven. We only have one more left to cover. I'm not ready for it to be over.
[00:02:25] Yeah. Well, those who follow me on social stuff, especially like Blue Sky or something, or then just even texting certain people. And so, you know, my original like initial thought as soon as the episode ended. So I think I post on Facebook this stuff too. But I was, yeah, I was just like, are you griffing kidding me?
[00:02:41] Yeah. You have to be kidding. That's, that's the cliffhanger gonna end on and make me wait a week. Just, uh, John Watts is trying to make me angry at him, but I can't. I'm gonna keep coming back.
[00:02:57] You have to, we're so close to the end and I want to see how this season ends for these characters.
[00:03:06] This one gave us so much because we got the reunion with the parents, which is what I was hoping for. Um, I was hoping that we wouldn't end the season with the reunion because I kind of wanted to get to soak it in a little bit.
[00:03:23] We also got that really cool, um, message that came through space for them, which I know I mentioned this to you yesterday. I felt like this was the circle or survivor and it was, oh, they made the letters from home episode.
[00:03:41] Yeah.
[00:03:41] And it brought all, you know, the feels.
[00:03:44] Oh, we're that far into the season now that they're getting messages from loved ones at home.
[00:03:49] Yep.
[00:03:50] You can do this. Come on. Win the whole thing. Um, yeah.
[00:03:55] Yeah. There were some definite highs in this episode. There were some definite.
[00:04:04] Yeah.
[00:04:06] Jawed.
[00:04:08] I kind of wanted him to be kicked out the airlock door.
[00:04:12] So as you know, I've mentioned the past couple of weeks, my like Funko pop skeleton crew hanging out over here.
[00:04:18] I got to pull one to the center that gets the, the main love. It's only for you really on zoom to see it, but yeah, Mr.
[00:04:25] John, none.
[00:04:26] I would, AKA.
[00:04:28] Crimson Jack, AKA the mad captain Silva.
[00:04:33] Takes that spot this week.
[00:04:34] I am so irritated with him.
[00:04:38] I, yeah.
[00:04:39] All of my frustration would be taken out on him.
[00:04:43] Mm hmm.
[00:04:44] And I have a list of things that he did that pissed me off and made me want to punch him.
[00:04:51] Very jealous of SM 33 in that moment.
[00:04:54] Huh?
[00:04:54] Mm hmm.
[00:04:56] Hmm.
[00:04:57] Yes.
[00:05:01] Cool thing about this episode.
[00:05:02] It was directed by Lee Isaac Chung.
[00:05:05] He brought us Minari and twisters.
[00:05:09] Yes.
[00:05:11] So that's cool.
[00:05:13] I like how they bring in these directors to work on the show, but then everything still seems week to week to be cohesive and together.
[00:05:23] And I think, you know, the people running the show have done such a great job of weaving all of this story together and making it so much fun.
[00:05:34] And scary at the same time.
[00:05:37] Yeah.
[00:05:37] The directing has been really cool with this one talking about, I mean, we are, we're excited about the Daniels.
[00:05:42] We gave so much love to Bryce Dallas Howard.
[00:05:45] And then, yeah, Lee Isaac Chung is a huge pull.
[00:05:47] But then also we didn't really talk about because I didn't know about really until later.
[00:05:51] I found out and was looking back at it.
[00:05:52] Episode five, because we didn't talk about directing and stuff on that.
[00:05:55] That was Jake Schreier, who beef on Netflix was his.
[00:06:03] But then also he is directing the Marvel film that comes out later this year, Thunderbolts.
[00:06:09] Oh.
[00:06:12] So hopefully, so him doing the whole episode five, the whole kind of Indiana Jones down in the tunnels, the traps and all that.
[00:06:18] Hopefully that showed a good kind of bit of the fun style.
[00:06:21] Hopefully Thunderbolts will have.
[00:06:22] Oh, I hope so.
[00:06:24] Yeah.
[00:06:25] We had so much fun.
[00:06:26] I think overall, I think all of the directing has been great.
[00:06:31] And like I said, I just think that it's very cohesive how they keep the story moving.
[00:06:37] So it doesn't feel like, well, each week is a different mini movie.
[00:06:43] It really feels like a cohesive story from beginning to end.
[00:06:48] Definitely.
[00:06:50] Well, it's time for us to get to our points.
[00:06:53] And we're going to get to that in just a second.
[00:07:14] And we're back and ready to jump in to our points.
[00:07:19] And Peik, I'm going to let you kick it off first.
[00:07:22] All right.
[00:07:24] I want to start.
[00:07:28] There's so many, so many places.
[00:07:33] It could be fun.
[00:07:35] I want to start with the kids.
[00:07:37] Okay.
[00:07:38] But I've got kind of two different little points that it could also just kind of be together.
[00:07:42] So I'll let you say how do we want to do them.
[00:07:44] One, the other, or just kind of throw them together into one thing.
[00:07:47] Talking about them kind of fighting back and reclaiming the ship from the pirates.
[00:07:55] But then also just their kind of journey, ending their journey, you know, on their final little bit of trek and getting home.
[00:08:05] Let's talk about them reclaiming the ship.
[00:08:08] Yeah.
[00:08:10] Yeah.
[00:08:10] Just have the kids fighting back because I love it because it comes after that video montage of parents that you mentioned earlier.
[00:08:18] And it just really like kind of invigorates them a little bit, right?
[00:08:24] Like they're listening to their parents and things that they're saying and you see them getting kind of teary eyed.
[00:08:30] But also there's like this fire that kind of gets set under them of like, we're so close.
[00:08:35] We're not losing this now.
[00:08:37] And like how they start talking to each other, this kind of like, we've got to be able to take the ship back.
[00:08:41] There's got to be some kind of plan.
[00:08:42] We've got to.
[00:08:43] And then Wim just, I mean, for all of his faults of thought and reason, you still got to love that kid anyway for his guts.
[00:08:52] Right?
[00:08:53] Wim being Wim.
[00:08:55] I mean, yeah, he's just newly determined and reinvigorated by this message from his dad.
[00:09:00] He's going to attempt to just lead the charge against the pirates and take back this ship and right into Pax's arms and then wiggles his way out of that right into Silbo.
[00:09:12] So it's like, yeah, his common sense is not the best at all, but you got to admire him anyway for having the chutzpah to try something to.
[00:09:23] He leaps before he looks, but, you know, you got to set things in motion at least.
[00:09:30] And then I love Neil's immediate, like Pax pulls out the knife and holds like him and the girls back in this immediate.
[00:09:35] Ah, sorry, sorry.
[00:09:38] Poor Neil.
[00:09:40] Oh, man.
[00:09:41] Well, Wim, all he could think about, I think he just wanted to, to like, stop the talking and let's, let's do something.
[00:09:52] And they really didn't have a lot of opportunity.
[00:09:56] I mean, even in that short time that they were talking about it, well, we need to do something.
[00:10:02] You have to imagine that the opportunities for them to be able to successfully reclaim the ship and get away.
[00:10:11] There really wasn't a lot of time because they were being held by a couple of people versus, you know, all of the pirates being in there at the same time with them.
[00:10:25] Yeah.
[00:10:26] So they really had to make the most of the situation that they were given.
[00:10:30] Yeah.
[00:10:32] They might have had another minute or two where they could have strategized, but Wim being Wim did what he felt he needed to do.
[00:10:41] And it was, you know, it kind of was a catalyst to get them to what they needed, you know, to being able to reclaim the ship.
[00:10:50] Yeah.
[00:10:51] And it leads to Fern really coming into her own on that moment of, and I, the internet has been very divided the past day from comment threads and places that I've gone and looked on the whole unclaimsies thing.
[00:11:08] And there's people who are not happy with it.
[00:11:11] There are people that's the stupidest thing I've seen in Star Wars and Star Wars is Star Wars a lot of ways, as much as I still love it.
[00:11:17] And here's what I'll say.
[00:11:19] Here's my take on it.
[00:11:21] Of course, that's not how it works.
[00:11:23] But I think it's perfect for this show.
[00:11:25] And it's so perfectly Fern to stay defiant and in a childlike way, try to find some way to get what she wants when there's no other option.
[00:11:36] Everything else has been exhausted.
[00:11:37] But I think besides her, what it's really highlighting or showing is SM33 finally taking a stand for what's right.
[00:11:45] He's tired of Jod.
[00:11:47] And that's where we get this like, aye, but it'd be close enough.
[00:11:51] You know?
[00:11:52] It's like, is that how it works?
[00:11:54] No, but screw it.
[00:11:55] Like, we're going to go with it anyway.
[00:11:58] And he did also state right before that, pirate code.
[00:12:02] Captain can only lay claim to one ship.
[00:12:05] So Jod laid claim to it, but that doesn't necessarily unclaim the frigate still.
[00:12:11] So SM33 had some like, you know, if X, then Y computing going on in his brain.
[00:12:18] Like, how do I make this make sense?
[00:12:20] How can we work?
[00:12:21] You know what?
[00:12:21] I can award this one to Fern on a technicality.
[00:12:24] Let's do it.
[00:12:25] Well, and Fern had taken claim to the ship on the ship in the beginning.
[00:12:33] Even though Jod had kind of taken claim of it at one other point, he kind of gave up his claim to take over the frigate.
[00:12:43] Yeah.
[00:12:44] I'm not up on my pirate law.
[00:12:48] Really?
[00:12:48] You didn't study?
[00:12:50] No.
[00:12:50] You haven't been studying?
[00:12:51] I haven't.
[00:12:53] But I actually, for me, and not being a Star Wars nerd, I loved that part.
[00:13:02] I thought it was great.
[00:13:04] I'm like, of course a kid is going to do whatever they can to try to fix the situation.
[00:13:09] And I think you're right.
[00:13:11] I think SM33 absolutely probably had enough of Jod and said, you know what?
[00:13:19] This is much better than the alternative, so I'm going to go with this.
[00:13:24] Yeah.
[00:13:25] So I think it was kind of SM33 standing up and having kind of his own little like free will of a droid moment.
[00:13:35] Well, we know that he's got a few circuits that are loose in there maybe, so I don't mind it.
[00:13:44] But I totally can respect that there are fans of Star Wars that are not happy about it or found it to be silly.
[00:13:52] I get it.
[00:13:53] Yeah, it's like I get it, but also like I can justify it in my head.
[00:13:56] I'm like, no, if you've been watching this show for the past seven episodes now, it's like, that's what this is.
[00:14:03] Yeah.
[00:14:04] It's perfectly imperfect with the way that kids are going to be, and I think that's wonderful.
[00:14:09] Yeah, it's not conventional.
[00:14:11] It's not going to always make sense.
[00:14:13] And sometimes those are the best things about shows.
[00:14:16] You think you've got it all figured out, and then something happens to kind of flip it a little bit, and that can just be one of the best things to happen.
[00:14:25] Yeah.
[00:14:26] And so I'm okay with it.
[00:14:29] Plus, I wanted the kids to get the ship, so it worked out for me.
[00:14:33] It gave me what I wanted.
[00:14:36] Yeah, and that's what's most important.
[00:14:39] Sometimes.
[00:14:40] Sometimes.
[00:14:43] The kids have been through so much together, and we've talked about how they become this group now.
[00:14:50] It's not like four individuals or two pairs.
[00:14:53] They're a quad.
[00:14:55] They're a group of four.
[00:14:56] Yeah.
[00:14:56] And they stick out for each other, and they help each other.
[00:15:01] And we got to see that last week.
[00:15:04] Getting to watch their faces when the messages came from home.
[00:15:08] Mm-hmm.
[00:15:09] And realizing, you know, they probably knew or expected their parents were going to miss them.
[00:15:17] But Wim in particular, I think he was very impacted by the message from his father telling him,
[00:15:29] I wish I had listened to you, and please come home.
[00:15:33] And I think that's really what pushed him over the edge.
[00:15:38] Yeah.
[00:15:39] Because we have seen his interactions.
[00:15:42] What we've seen of it has been so reserved.
[00:15:47] Yeah.
[00:15:48] And so I think we got to see a little bit of emotion from his dad, and not in the conventional way,
[00:15:57] but I think who his dad is and who his character is, what we got to see, the heart and the impassioned plea behind it,
[00:16:10] that was huge.
[00:16:13] Yeah.
[00:16:13] Because it's not going to be the same as Neil's parents.
[00:16:19] It's not going to be the same as Fern's mother.
[00:16:22] It's not even going to be the same as KB's mom's.
[00:16:25] Mm-hmm.
[00:16:26] We've seen them, and we know that they're more emotive, and they show more of their feelings.
[00:16:33] Yeah.
[00:16:33] What we saw from Wim's dad was a lot.
[00:16:38] Mm-hmm.
[00:16:38] Yeah, for sure.
[00:16:39] I think it really surprised Wim.
[00:16:43] Yeah.
[00:16:44] And I think it's really what Wim needed in that moment, because what we see of him before that is, I mean,
[00:16:52] in the past couple episodes, he's been getting kind of homesick and ready to go home.
[00:16:55] He has that talk with Jod about missing home.
[00:16:58] And now that that's actually happening, that they're on their way.
[00:17:04] They've got the coordinates punched in, and they're flying through hyperspace, headed back to Ataten.
[00:17:09] And once again, he's sad about the end of the adventure.
[00:17:12] Mm-hmm.
[00:17:13] And I think some of it's kind of unspoken, but I really see that he has this fear in his head that, like, man, we're going to get back home.
[00:17:20] And then, so almost the episode title is, like, unspoken in his head if we're going to be in so much trouble, right?
[00:17:25] It's like, we're going to get home, and then we're all going to be on lockdown.
[00:17:27] We're going to be facing more strict restrictions.
[00:17:30] We're going to, you know, never going to be able to do anything again.
[00:17:34] We're going to be just, like, eagle-eyed and, you know, helicoptered over.
[00:17:38] And it's just, we're not going to be able to, like, go on any adventure again.
[00:17:42] We're going to get back home, and real life is right around the corner.
[00:17:45] And I don't want to go back to school and assessments and serving some great work.
[00:17:50] Because now that I've been on the outside and I've seen adventure, as scary as it is and as terrified as I've been and I want to go home, to know that I could never do that again afterwards is almost more terrifying.
[00:18:04] Yeah, I think he was mourning that.
[00:18:06] I think he, in his head, realized that these were the last moments they were going to get on this great adventure.
[00:18:15] Mm-hmm.
[00:18:15] And he was probably never going to get to do it again.
[00:18:19] Yeah, to where even he says, you know, I wish I would have never pressed this stupid button.
[00:18:23] Where it's, he's like, maybe, you know, it would have been better if we never left at all.
[00:18:29] Because now we've had a taste of something that we can't have again.
[00:18:32] Yeah.
[00:18:33] I get that.
[00:18:35] And I think it really helped him to hear the others say, we're not upset that you did that.
[00:18:41] Yeah.
[00:18:42] We're glad that we did it.
[00:18:43] Neil had come around full other way, which is funny.
[00:18:46] It was a really fun adventure.
[00:18:48] Half the time I was about to die.
[00:18:50] But that's what a real adventure is like.
[00:18:54] Yeah, I think he was thinking more of, we're going to go back home and it's going to be the same.
[00:19:01] We're going home to our life that is not exciting.
[00:19:06] It is regimented.
[00:19:08] We do what's expected.
[00:19:10] We can't ever hope for anything more.
[00:19:13] And yet we've had this adventure.
[00:19:15] Like, we have experienced all of these things together and we're bonded through that experience.
[00:19:22] But that's it.
[00:19:23] And I think he was kind of in mourning of realizing that they weren't going to get to do that again.
[00:19:31] Yeah.
[00:19:31] I mean, and Fern is hilarious talking about, well, we can land out in the middle of nowhere and then we can pretend that we were lost.
[00:19:39] And no one has to know about the ship because I think she starts to realize.
[00:19:44] She becomes the dreamer that Wim used to be in like the beginning of this.
[00:19:48] Like, we'll keep the ship somewhere.
[00:19:50] We can come back to it.
[00:19:51] And he's like.
[00:19:52] No.
[00:19:53] What had happened?
[00:19:54] Like, they've switched places.
[00:19:55] You know, like.
[00:19:56] They're never going to last.
[00:19:58] And Fern's the one going like, ah, everything will be fine.
[00:20:01] We can just come back to the ship whenever we want.
[00:20:03] I think, though, too, in Fern's defense, she's had a different life than Wim.
[00:20:09] Wim's life has been very regimented with expectations.
[00:20:15] And while Fern has had a life similar to that, she's also not been on such a short tether.
[00:20:23] Like, she's gotten away with more.
[00:20:25] Her mother is an undersecretary.
[00:20:30] She has been able to smooth over maybe some of the things that Fern and KB have been up to.
[00:20:38] And Wim has just not had that.
[00:20:41] I mean, he hasn't.
[00:20:44] And I think it's funny how a little bit of each of them has rubbed off on each other.
[00:20:54] And also what I found great about the message that came from home is that the parents knew what the kids needed to hear.
[00:21:03] They knew what would be on their kids' minds.
[00:21:10] Like, Hibby's mother is like, I know you're probably nervous about being out there and not having maintenance and everything.
[00:21:17] And then Neil's thinking about his little siblings and all of those things.
[00:21:23] And I love that we got to see that piece of the parents because we really haven't seen them enough to really get to know them only like on a surface level thing.
[00:21:36] Yeah.
[00:21:36] And I feel like this really gave us more insight into the family dynamic for each of the families.
[00:21:41] Yeah, for sure.
[00:21:42] So I appreciated that a lot.
[00:21:44] Yeah, it was great.
[00:21:46] So I guess, yeah, and that ties in again with that second part, like I mentioned of them, kind of those final little bits in Journey Home.
[00:21:55] And even skip past some of all the piratey stuff we will talk about.
[00:22:00] We will talk about the pirates.
[00:22:03] But yeah, once they pull out of hyperspace at Aten.
[00:22:10] Yeah, they get there just in time to get tractor beamed right into a giant pirate ship.
[00:22:15] Forget.
[00:22:17] I feel like the kids knew, well, this is the barrier.
[00:22:21] You know, at Aten is in here.
[00:22:22] So they knew that they were this close to home.
[00:22:25] Yeah.
[00:22:26] Mm hmm.
[00:22:28] Yeah.
[00:22:28] And then the barrier storm, the defensive grid, which Jod puts it together earlier, doesn't say it, but you see him make the connection.
[00:22:40] Because then he's trying to like, you know, figure out what it is about the ship that makes it pass through.
[00:22:44] And then we see SM33 confirm as they're flying through the barrier going back in that, yeah, the Onyx sender is a ship that belonged to the Mint on Ad Aten that Renned stole to be able to bypass the grid.
[00:23:01] As for the pirates that were pursuing them onto the planet, they weren't as lucky.
[00:23:06] Nope.
[00:23:08] Nope.
[00:23:09] That was it.
[00:23:10] Yeah.
[00:23:11] But yeah, so the kids make it through the barrier, get back to Ad Aten.
[00:23:14] Everything seems nice and happy.
[00:23:16] Fern drops the episode title.
[00:23:18] It's funny.
[00:23:19] The ship is automatically docking as Ad Aten protocol is set in.
[00:23:24] Neil's still thinking about Haina.
[00:23:27] So all is well.
[00:23:29] So of course we got to have Jod up here and muck it all up, right?
[00:23:33] Having stowed away on the ship before they escaped the frigate.
[00:23:39] And here is where he actually does a number of the things on that list.
[00:23:44] Yep.
[00:23:45] It's like, um, yeah, no, Jod.
[00:23:48] No.
[00:23:50] No, no, no, no.
[00:23:54] So I assume, yeah, if you mentioned that, that was probably the way you would like to go next.
[00:23:58] Then if we connect them, because I've got that as a whole point too, so we can break it all down together.
[00:24:03] It's just Jod.
[00:24:04] That sounds great.
[00:24:05] And you know me and anybody listens to you on Strange Indeed.
[00:24:08] A lot of times I like to title my points.
[00:24:11] I like little titles and sections.
[00:24:12] So that is Jod dot dot dot.
[00:24:16] No.
[00:24:17] Mad Captain Silbo.
[00:24:21] Mine is only titled Jod.
[00:24:24] I want to punch him in the face or for Brutus to send him out the airlock door.
[00:24:28] It's a long title.
[00:24:29] It is, but I think it fits.
[00:24:32] Yeah.
[00:24:33] I mean, start, he made Wim cry.
[00:24:38] Yep.
[00:24:40] He decapitated 33.
[00:24:44] He kicked Snowball.
[00:24:47] Yeah.
[00:24:48] And I'll even, honestly, I'm adding this on there.
[00:24:52] Even though he was a pirate, he killed Brutus.
[00:24:55] And I at least had some fun with Wolfie.
[00:24:58] He's going to be on my list.
[00:25:00] People can see my face reactions.
[00:25:02] Like he made Wim cry and I'm like in vengeful anger.
[00:25:04] Like, yeah, you did.
[00:25:06] How dare he?
[00:25:06] He's like decapitated SM 33.
[00:25:09] Monsters.
[00:25:10] Kicked Snowball.
[00:25:11] What a devil.
[00:25:12] Killed Brutus.
[00:25:13] Well.
[00:25:15] I mean, that's fine.
[00:25:19] And I followed it up with, I don't think he's redeemable and I'm down for them to just
[00:25:23] knock him off.
[00:25:25] Yeah.
[00:25:26] No patience.
[00:25:27] I have no patience for Jod.
[00:25:29] I don't care if they redeem him next week.
[00:25:31] He did some really despicable things this week.
[00:25:34] Like, yeah.
[00:25:35] He was really like the mad Captain Silvo came out.
[00:25:40] He dropped the facade of Jod and it was just Silvo in full action.
[00:25:47] Pirate.
[00:25:47] Captain.
[00:25:50] And, and yeah.
[00:25:51] So as much as, yeah, like he definitely, it's a fiction, it's a fictional show, but it was
[00:25:56] even to the point where like, I'm connected enough to these characters and especially about
[00:25:59] talking about it and getting to really enjoy talking about them and seeing them to where,
[00:26:03] yeah, no, it irked me.
[00:26:04] Like I was getting legitimately like ruffled a little bit watching some of this.
[00:26:08] I'm like, how dare you?
[00:26:09] Uh, he's incredibly mean to Neil and he calls them weak, sheltered, spoiled children.
[00:26:17] I mean, they are wrong.
[00:26:20] He's not wrong, but that's not their fault.
[00:26:24] I mean, their upbringing has, they didn't get a choice in that.
[00:26:29] Right.
[00:26:29] This is who they are.
[00:26:30] This is how they grew up.
[00:26:32] But he is incredibly mean to Neil and he threatens basically tells them he knows what their parents
[00:26:38] look like.
[00:26:39] Yeah.
[00:26:40] Oh, he was incredibly despicable, but he's still easily my character of the episode because
[00:26:48] so much fun to watch.
[00:26:51] It's entertainment.
[00:26:52] Even if it makes you angry.
[00:26:54] It's why as like a wrestling fan, I love the heels so much because if they can piss you
[00:26:59] off, they're doing their job correctly.
[00:27:00] Right.
[00:27:00] So it's this, even in a TV show like this, it's like his villain turn was so good because
[00:27:07] if it can legitimately make me feel angry at him, they're doing it right.
[00:27:11] And it's writing is incredible and the character's done well.
[00:27:14] And so I do love that.
[00:27:18] Yeah.
[00:27:18] I'm not on that page with you, but that's okay.
[00:27:22] Yeah.
[00:27:22] To a point I am.
[00:27:24] Jude Law has done a fantastic job playing this character.
[00:27:27] And I have enjoyed watching the interactions with the kids when he was playing them, basically.
[00:27:38] I enjoyed the interactions with the kids because I thought they were really fun and I thought
[00:27:42] that there was a great chemistry between him and the four kids.
[00:27:48] Yeah.
[00:27:49] And I still, we'll talk about this soon, probably in this point, but there's still parts of
[00:27:54] me in my brain that, like you said, when he was playing them, I don't think he was.
[00:27:58] I think there was still a lot of those moments that were genuine in the moment.
[00:28:04] That was very sweet just a couple of episodes ago.
[00:28:07] So he and Wim had a wonderful, sweet moment.
[00:28:12] And then he just completely negated all of it with the way he acted in this episode.
[00:28:17] Oh, definitely.
[00:28:17] And what did he do to those kids?
[00:28:19] But I still think that there was some genuine words spoken in that moment.
[00:28:27] But he, Jod is an opportunist.
[00:28:31] And he's not a loyal person.
[00:28:34] No.
[00:28:34] So I think he was just playing it day by day.
[00:28:36] So I don't know.
[00:28:37] So in a way he is playing them.
[00:28:38] It is manipulative, whatever can get him to his end goal.
[00:28:42] But I also think the advice he gave them, the ways he tried to help them survive, a lot
[00:28:47] of the things he did for them in those moments were truly for them.
[00:28:52] But just when it comes down to me or them, he's selfish and he's going to pick himself.
[00:28:59] Well, and he's got a lightsaber.
[00:29:01] Yeah.
[00:29:02] And the kids are terrified.
[00:29:04] I mean, poor Fern wanted to say something when he was threatening them and she just couldn't.
[00:29:09] I don't think that she'd ever been faced with anything that made her so angry and upset and wanting to lash out and yet not feeling like she could.
[00:29:19] Probably ever in her life.
[00:29:23] Yeah.
[00:29:24] Yeah.
[00:29:26] So let's see.
[00:29:26] Because I've got notes to go over some of those things.
[00:29:29] I wrote down some dialogue and different things.
[00:29:31] But to get there, I'm going to back up just a little bit.
[00:29:34] Yeah.
[00:29:34] Of getting where we see Jod's journey to that point.
[00:29:39] The pirates reaching Ataten, wrapped and hidden in its barrier of deadly storm clouds, first before the kids arrive.
[00:29:47] And I have to agree with Jod in that first moment.
[00:29:51] Brutus was kind of just stupidly assuming that it would be easy.
[00:29:55] I think he makes some very solid points of like, it's been hidden for hundreds of years.
[00:30:01] Do you really?
[00:30:01] It's like, we weren't going to just pull up and up there it is.
[00:30:04] You know?
[00:30:05] Nobody searched over here before.
[00:30:07] Like, of course there's going to be some kind of, you know, hitch to it.
[00:30:13] But, uh, so the fact that they roll up to this, you know, barrier and Brutus is like, ah, it's all not worth anything.
[00:30:22] Go ahead and throw him out the airlock.
[00:30:23] He's like, do you not have any sense of like, you just went through a like tunnel of traps and things like things are going to be trapped.
[00:30:32] Things are going to be hidden.
[00:30:34] It's not all just going to be sitting right out on a plate for you to take.
[00:30:37] Right.
[00:30:37] That's not how this works.
[00:30:39] But that was before he did some of the bad shit.
[00:30:42] Oh, absolutely.
[00:30:43] And I was ready almost for him to be out of the airlock then.
[00:30:48] And I like that Brutus takes him up on like sending.
[00:30:51] Well, he says he'll go.
[00:30:53] And he's like, no, you say with him, send in a volunteer, which I was like, yeah, I don't know about volunteer.
[00:30:58] I have a feeling that this Corrin dude, Glurb.
[00:31:03] Poor Glurb.
[00:31:03] He was more of a voluntold, I think.
[00:31:05] There's going to be no weed plantation for him, Peck.
[00:31:09] No, he doesn't get his whole ocean anymore.
[00:31:12] Nope, it's gone.
[00:31:14] And his call sign was Ravager 1, which, you know, in case we needed one more Guardians nod with these pirates.
[00:31:21] Which is fun.
[00:31:25] Disney mega conglomeration.
[00:31:30] But yeah, once they put him in the airlock and then the kids show up, he puts it together pretty quickly.
[00:31:40] Even though, again, he doesn't say it out loud then.
[00:31:42] We get it confirmed later through 33.
[00:31:44] But I think Jod figured it out right then.
[00:31:47] He goes, oh, yeah, Onyx Cinder is an emissary ship of Adatum.
[00:31:51] The defensive structures, the grid is going to recognize it and let it pass through.
[00:31:55] There's something there.
[00:31:55] And he's like, that's the key to getting in.
[00:31:58] Well, and look at how much more regal it looked after it lost all of the outer hull that made it look like it had been stored in someone's basement.
[00:32:11] Yeah, I like that.
[00:32:12] Yeah, pulling the ship in with the tractor beam.
[00:32:15] I love some callbacks, some great callbacks to early in the season in this episode.
[00:32:22] I'll talk about a few of them.
[00:32:23] But let's see, is there one that I skipped?
[00:32:29] No, because it'll be in there.
[00:32:31] Yeah, I liked KB using her voice modulation again.
[00:32:35] Yep, that was so awesome.
[00:32:36] Trying to intimidate the pirates and then using that claw that they love so much because we've seen them playing around on that claw.
[00:32:42] And even when they were like the wise elders, they came down on that claw.
[00:32:46] They love that thing.
[00:32:48] So...
[00:32:48] I really loved that they didn't just give up.
[00:32:53] Like, they didn't just come out.
[00:32:54] They tried...
[00:32:56] Even if they failed, they did try to...
[00:32:59] Yeah.
[00:33:00] ...keep control of the ship.
[00:33:01] And they weren't...
[00:33:02] They just weren't counting on Jod to be there to blow past their bluff.
[00:33:06] Right.
[00:33:08] Exactly.
[00:33:10] He should have been, you know, airlocked at that point.
[00:33:14] Gone into the abyss at that point.
[00:33:18] Yeah, but Jod or really at this point, mad Captain Silvo.
[00:33:23] Just saying screw it and going full pirate bad guy.
[00:33:28] Takes the opportunity to kill that mutinous traitor, Brutus.
[00:33:31] Reclaim his crew.
[00:33:33] Take the sender back from these kids.
[00:33:37] And all these pirates in this show.
[00:33:40] And it looks like we're not getting Hondo after all.
[00:33:42] There's still one episode left, but it's not really looking good.
[00:33:46] So...
[00:33:46] Bummer.
[00:33:47] But you know what?
[00:33:48] There'll be a little glimmer of hope just in case.
[00:33:50] Who knows?
[00:33:50] Probably not.
[00:33:51] I don't see how it makes sense story-wise at this point.
[00:33:53] But you never know.
[00:33:56] I mean, with what we've seen on this show so far,
[00:34:00] don't count anything out.
[00:34:01] Right.
[00:34:02] Just be ready for whatever.
[00:34:04] Yeah.
[00:34:04] I love...
[00:34:05] Again, because I love snarky little villain stuff.
[00:34:09] As you know, we've talked about the kids on bikes role-playing game.
[00:34:12] You know, leading into us really being interested in talking about this.
[00:34:16] And we just kind of wrapped our first season of that.
[00:34:18] We did.
[00:34:19] I love playing villain NPCs.
[00:34:22] I love being able to be somebody who is at odds with the players.
[00:34:27] And so that also...
[00:34:29] A lot of this kind of tickled those parts of my brain a little bit.
[00:34:34] Jod's little oops after Wendell says in that video,
[00:34:37] Don't tell anyone where you're from.
[00:34:39] And he's like, oops.
[00:34:42] Just a jab at Wim for that, you know?
[00:34:46] And it got a good little chuckle out of me, though.
[00:34:48] I was like, yeah, that's snarky as heck.
[00:34:50] But I love it.
[00:34:50] I knew the lightsaber was coming back.
[00:34:55] Obviously.
[00:34:56] To decapitate 33, that's not what I was expecting.
[00:34:59] I'm not happy about that.
[00:35:01] Although, if we're honest, he is a droid.
[00:35:03] It's not the worst thing.
[00:35:04] He'll be fine.
[00:35:08] They're just going to have to put him back together.
[00:35:10] And you know what?
[00:35:10] Yeah, he'll be okay.
[00:35:11] I feel like KB can do that.
[00:35:13] Yeah, definitely.
[00:35:16] We'll be all right.
[00:35:17] But yeah, and then that goes into the scenes you were talking about,
[00:35:20] where Jod has fully lost any and all patience or care anymore.
[00:35:25] He's just...
[00:35:26] He's this close to the ultimate treasure,
[00:35:28] and these kids are not going to mess it up now.
[00:35:30] If he's got to be mean and ruthless and violent and threatening,
[00:35:33] then he's going to be.
[00:35:35] And he wants.
[00:35:37] Part of me still thinks, like I said,
[00:35:38] that he's not actually going to physically harm any of them,
[00:35:42] or at least he really doesn't want to.
[00:35:45] A lot of it is threats.
[00:35:46] I mean, I know he falls off.
[00:35:47] I will.
[00:35:48] But it's like...
[00:35:49] I don't know.
[00:35:50] I still think there is some part of him.
[00:35:54] Because of things we've seen,
[00:35:56] the Jedi code is in him.
[00:35:59] And here's where I'm going to get a little theorizing here.
[00:36:05] A little bit of credit to Eric Voss,
[00:36:06] New Rockstars,
[00:36:07] for kind of pointing some of this stuff out.
[00:36:09] Watch his videos usually after we've recorded.
[00:36:11] But noticing some of these things,
[00:36:13] I'm like, yeah,
[00:36:14] and I think back to it,
[00:36:15] and I'm like,
[00:36:15] yeah, no,
[00:36:16] a lot of that makes sense.
[00:36:16] But when he's holding out that lightsaber
[00:36:19] over a bunch of kids,
[00:36:21] and a little bit of theory,
[00:36:23] but I was like,
[00:36:23] man,
[00:36:23] he's at the right age.
[00:36:25] Um,
[00:36:26] that this may have been a danger
[00:36:28] that he faced
[00:36:29] when he was even younger than them.
[00:36:32] Timeline-wise,
[00:36:33] in the Star Wars universe,
[00:36:34] he and Grogu,
[00:36:36] from The Mandalorian,
[00:36:37] uh,
[00:36:38] may have been escaping
[00:36:40] out of the Jedi Temple
[00:36:41] during Order 66 simultaneously.
[00:36:43] When Anakin Skywalker
[00:36:44] was on his
[00:36:45] kill all the younglings rampage,
[00:36:47] right?
[00:36:47] Uh,
[00:36:49] because he clearly has
[00:36:50] some Jedi training,
[00:36:51] and then the timeline,
[00:36:52] his age,
[00:36:53] that would have put him
[00:36:54] as a small child,
[00:36:54] as like,
[00:36:55] a youngling,
[00:36:56] a Padawan,
[00:36:58] training in the Force
[00:36:59] at the time.
[00:37:01] Because we see he knows
[00:37:02] how to wield the Force,
[00:37:03] and he spoke some very
[00:37:06] Jedi words to Wim.
[00:37:07] Uh,
[00:37:07] I kind of missed some of that,
[00:37:09] and then,
[00:37:09] again,
[00:37:09] thanks to Eric Voss
[00:37:10] for pointing some of those things out.
[00:37:13] where when he's talking to Wim,
[00:37:14] I mean,
[00:37:15] the whole letting go
[00:37:16] of your attachments thing
[00:37:17] is very Jedi.
[00:37:19] Um,
[00:37:21] not being weighed down
[00:37:22] by attachments,
[00:37:23] but then also,
[00:37:24] what I missed
[00:37:24] was the exact words
[00:37:26] he spoke.
[00:37:26] Your focus determines
[00:37:28] your reality
[00:37:28] is a word-for-word
[00:37:30] quote
[00:37:31] from Master Qui-Gon Jinn
[00:37:33] in The Phantom Menace.
[00:37:35] Oh.
[00:37:36] Okay.
[00:37:38] That was the last
[00:37:39] Star Wars movie
[00:37:40] that I watched.
[00:37:41] Yeah.
[00:37:42] Yeah.
[00:37:43] That's something that Qui-Gon
[00:37:44] said word-for-word,
[00:37:46] and so a lot of people
[00:37:46] kind of picked up on that,
[00:37:47] and I was like,
[00:37:48] I should have,
[00:37:48] but,
[00:37:49] basically,
[00:37:50] yeah,
[00:37:50] I mean,
[00:37:50] so he,
[00:37:52] he's learned these things,
[00:37:53] and he's definitely
[00:37:54] been trained
[00:37:55] by Jedi
[00:37:56] at some point.
[00:37:58] So I have to feel like
[00:37:59] there's still
[00:38:00] something
[00:38:01] in him
[00:38:02] there.
[00:38:03] Uh,
[00:38:04] that's not to say
[00:38:04] that I,
[00:38:05] like,
[00:38:05] excuse everything,
[00:38:06] or like,
[00:38:07] but he's,
[00:38:08] so he's fine,
[00:38:09] because,
[00:38:09] no,
[00:38:09] uh,
[00:38:10] he said,
[00:38:10] I've grown attached
[00:38:11] to these kids enough
[00:38:12] to where I was
[00:38:12] legitimately angered
[00:38:13] by a bit of
[00:38:14] when he was snapping
[00:38:15] at them.
[00:38:16] You know,
[00:38:16] you're incessant,
[00:38:17] unending,
[00:38:17] jabber,
[00:38:18] jabber,
[00:38:18] jabber.
[00:38:19] Honestly,
[00:38:19] it's unbearable.
[00:38:20] I'm like,
[00:38:21] okay,
[00:38:21] don't you dare speak
[00:38:22] to Neil that way.
[00:38:23] And then moving on
[00:38:24] to Wham,
[00:38:24] and you're the worst one.
[00:38:26] And that's all it,
[00:38:27] just those words,
[00:38:28] and immediately,
[00:38:29] tear.
[00:38:30] Poor boy.
[00:38:31] I'm like,
[00:38:32] okay,
[00:38:32] you made him cry,
[00:38:33] and now I'm gonna have
[00:38:34] to hunch you down,
[00:38:35] you no good,
[00:38:36] horrible,
[00:38:36] fictional character.
[00:38:39] And then him shutting
[00:38:41] Fern down completely,
[00:38:42] as you mentioned,
[00:38:42] that whole,
[00:38:43] what,
[00:38:43] what,
[00:38:43] what exactly
[00:38:45] are you going to do?
[00:38:46] You're all weak,
[00:38:48] weak,
[00:38:48] sheltered,
[00:38:49] spoiled children.
[00:38:51] It's just like,
[00:38:51] oh.
[00:38:53] Going along with your theory,
[00:38:54] do you think because
[00:38:57] he went through,
[00:38:58] likely went through
[00:38:59] such a terrible trauma
[00:39:00] at such a young age,
[00:39:02] he might be
[00:39:03] a bit jealous
[00:39:04] that these kids
[00:39:05] have had the upbringing
[00:39:06] that they've had
[00:39:07] where they
[00:39:08] haven't gone through
[00:39:10] some of the
[00:39:11] horrible,
[00:39:12] traumatic things
[00:39:13] that he did?
[00:39:13] Yeah,
[00:39:14] very likely.
[00:39:14] I didn't really
[00:39:15] think of it that way,
[00:39:16] but yeah,
[00:39:16] it makes sense.
[00:39:16] They're,
[00:39:17] for,
[00:39:17] you know,
[00:39:18] lack of a better term,
[00:39:19] yeah,
[00:39:19] these like,
[00:39:20] silver spoon fed
[00:39:21] rich kids
[00:39:22] from this treasure planet
[00:39:23] who've known
[00:39:24] no hardship,
[00:39:25] who've known
[00:39:27] nothing but just
[00:39:28] everything handed to them,
[00:39:29] and yeah,
[00:39:30] oh no,
[00:39:31] you have to work hard
[00:39:32] and prove yourself
[00:39:32] and do something,
[00:39:33] you know,
[00:39:33] like,
[00:39:35] it's like,
[00:39:36] because of what I'm thinking
[00:39:37] could be possibly true
[00:39:38] about Jod,
[00:39:40] as a child
[00:39:41] younger than they are,
[00:39:42] he had to flee
[00:39:44] and hide from the empire
[00:39:45] and then
[00:39:46] make,
[00:39:47] like,
[00:39:48] and then survive
[00:39:48] on his own
[00:39:50] and make things happen
[00:39:51] for himself
[00:39:53] with nobody there
[00:39:54] most likely.
[00:39:55] So,
[00:39:55] yeah,
[00:39:56] it makes sense
[00:39:56] to see that
[00:39:58] there's that dichotomy
[00:40:00] of like,
[00:40:00] he's very much
[00:40:01] a different person,
[00:40:03] a different upbringing
[00:40:04] and growth
[00:40:05] than they are.
[00:40:06] He may resent it.
[00:40:08] I mean,
[00:40:08] he may resent
[00:40:10] the kids for that
[00:40:11] because
[00:40:12] they had
[00:40:13] such a
[00:40:15] easy,
[00:40:16] what he sees
[00:40:17] as easy life
[00:40:18] when he's had to struggle
[00:40:19] and fight his whole life
[00:40:21] and watching them
[00:40:23] and seeing them
[00:40:24] off on a great adventure
[00:40:26] like it's no big deal
[00:40:27] when he's been in
[00:40:28] life or death situations
[00:40:30] at their age.
[00:40:31] Yeah,
[00:40:32] to where
[00:40:32] partially it's like
[00:40:34] he's saying those things
[00:40:34] in order to like
[00:40:36] really jab into them
[00:40:38] like,
[00:40:38] you need to shut up
[00:40:40] and stop messing with things.
[00:40:43] Let me do what I need to do
[00:40:44] or there will be consequences.
[00:40:45] Part of it,
[00:40:46] I think he's just
[00:40:46] trying to scare them.
[00:40:48] But then,
[00:40:49] as you said,
[00:40:50] there may be another part of it
[00:40:51] that yeah,
[00:40:51] like,
[00:40:52] he's finally cracking
[00:40:53] and letting some feelings
[00:40:54] that he's had out
[00:40:55] that have been kind of
[00:40:57] pushed down
[00:40:58] deep in there somewhere
[00:40:59] and the way he delivers
[00:41:00] those lines stuff is
[00:41:02] it is,
[00:41:02] it's infuriating
[00:41:03] but also
[00:41:04] I'm going to have to
[00:41:05] remember to channel it
[00:41:06] for some future
[00:41:07] Kids on Bikes villains.
[00:41:09] Oh,
[00:41:10] great.
[00:41:11] Because it was
[00:41:11] well delivered
[00:41:12] and it was wonderful.
[00:41:13] Well,
[00:41:14] there was a moment
[00:41:14] when Fern couldn't speak
[00:41:16] and she,
[00:41:17] you could tell
[00:41:17] she wanted to.
[00:41:18] I just wanted,
[00:41:19] I'm like,
[00:41:20] you've got,
[00:41:20] you need to channel
[00:41:22] your inner Charlotte
[00:41:23] who's my character
[00:41:24] in Kids on Bikes.
[00:41:26] because she just had
[00:41:27] a really good
[00:41:28] night
[00:41:29] when we were wrapping
[00:41:29] up the campaign.
[00:41:30] I'm like,
[00:41:31] you gotta,
[00:41:31] you gotta
[00:41:32] channel that
[00:41:33] to get through this.
[00:41:34] Just go for it.
[00:41:36] But I also think
[00:41:38] Jod,
[00:41:40] not just the,
[00:41:41] not just a jealousy
[00:41:42] but
[00:41:43] I think he may
[00:41:44] look at it
[00:41:45] like they don't
[00:41:46] really understand
[00:41:49] real consequences.
[00:41:50] Yeah.
[00:41:51] And I think
[00:41:52] that's why
[00:41:53] he makes the threat
[00:41:54] he does.
[00:41:55] Whether he means it
[00:41:56] or not,
[00:41:56] I still don't have
[00:41:57] that great of a read
[00:41:58] on Jod with certain
[00:41:59] things like that.
[00:42:00] Where to really
[00:42:00] take him at his word
[00:42:01] or not.
[00:42:03] But I think
[00:42:04] that's why he
[00:42:04] follows that up
[00:42:05] with the next threat
[00:42:06] that he does
[00:42:06] which is
[00:42:07] if you don't go
[00:42:08] along perfectly
[00:42:09] with me
[00:42:09] and you get in
[00:42:10] my way
[00:42:11] in any way
[00:42:12] at all,
[00:42:12] I saw your parents
[00:42:14] on that comm
[00:42:14] and I will kill
[00:42:15] them if you try
[00:42:16] anything.
[00:42:17] Again,
[00:42:18] I don't know
[00:42:18] whether to take him
[00:42:19] at his word
[00:42:20] because he's
[00:42:21] untrustworthy enough
[00:42:22] to where even
[00:42:22] when he says
[00:42:23] terrible things
[00:42:24] I don't know
[00:42:25] if he really
[00:42:25] means it.
[00:42:26] Like what game
[00:42:26] is he always
[00:42:27] playing?
[00:42:28] And I think
[00:42:29] so it could be
[00:42:30] that like
[00:42:30] okay I tried
[00:42:31] insulting them
[00:42:32] I tried scaring
[00:42:33] them personally
[00:42:34] but let me make
[00:42:34] sure to add
[00:42:35] that extra layer
[00:42:36] to really drive
[00:42:37] it home
[00:42:37] whether he
[00:42:38] means it
[00:42:39] or not.
[00:42:41] I have a hard
[00:42:42] time
[00:42:44] thinking
[00:42:44] how he can
[00:42:45] redeem himself
[00:42:46] unless there's
[00:42:47] someone worse
[00:42:48] that he
[00:42:49] has to end
[00:42:50] up going
[00:42:50] head to
[00:42:50] head with.
[00:42:51] Right.
[00:42:52] And the only
[00:42:53] one episode
[00:42:53] left I don't
[00:42:54] know about
[00:42:54] that.
[00:42:55] Yeah.
[00:42:56] And so
[00:42:56] I don't
[00:42:57] know.
[00:42:57] But it was
[00:42:58] enough for
[00:42:58] my like
[00:42:59] nerdy Star Wars
[00:43:00] fanboy
[00:43:00] to like
[00:43:01] come out
[00:43:02] for a little
[00:43:02] bit and for
[00:43:03] you know
[00:43:03] who cares if
[00:43:04] it's fictional
[00:43:04] in a story
[00:43:05] where I have
[00:43:05] to get like
[00:43:06] you know
[00:43:07] my hackles
[00:43:08] raised a little
[00:43:08] bit and be
[00:43:09] like you don't
[00:43:09] even deserve
[00:43:10] to be wielding
[00:43:10] a blue
[00:43:10] lightsaber.
[00:43:14] And yet
[00:43:15] he is.
[00:43:18] But yeah
[00:43:19] and then when
[00:43:20] he gets down
[00:43:21] to the
[00:43:22] vault
[00:43:24] which
[00:43:24] so yeah
[00:43:25] where is
[00:43:26] that?
[00:43:27] He's so
[00:43:28] maniacal
[00:43:29] about it.
[00:43:30] Yeah which
[00:43:30] you see that
[00:43:31] big vault
[00:43:32] down there
[00:43:32] so here's
[00:43:32] another callback
[00:43:33] to like
[00:43:34] episode one
[00:43:35] that I
[00:43:36] noticed
[00:43:36] is because
[00:43:37] remember when
[00:43:37] Fern is sitting
[00:43:38] outside like
[00:43:39] the principal's
[00:43:39] office basically
[00:43:41] with Wim
[00:43:41] and she's
[00:43:42] picking on him
[00:43:42] about this
[00:43:43] hole they're
[00:43:43] going to send
[00:43:43] you down
[00:43:44] to work
[00:43:44] the mines
[00:43:45] but then
[00:43:46] you see
[00:43:46] there's like
[00:43:47] it's not
[00:43:47] really mines
[00:43:47] but it kind
[00:43:48] of like
[00:43:48] the mints
[00:43:49] they are
[00:43:49] building and
[00:43:50] making things
[00:43:51] and it's
[00:43:51] there wasn't
[00:43:52] a single person
[00:43:53] down there I
[00:43:53] could see it's
[00:43:54] all droids
[00:43:54] and it's also
[00:43:55] like I don't
[00:43:55] know how many
[00:43:55] people even
[00:43:56] know about it
[00:43:57] but it's just
[00:43:58] like it's
[00:43:59] kind of funny
[00:43:59] that like her
[00:44:00] little made up
[00:44:01] little threat
[00:44:01] kind of thing
[00:44:02] was probably
[00:44:03] closer to truth
[00:44:04] than like she
[00:44:05] would have
[00:44:05] even thought
[00:44:06] there really
[00:44:06] is something
[00:44:07] going on
[00:44:07] down there
[00:44:08] I just thought
[00:44:09] that was funny
[00:44:10] yeah yeah
[00:44:11] he said he
[00:44:12] can't hold
[00:44:12] back like
[00:44:13] even a little
[00:44:13] bit his
[00:44:14] pirate self
[00:44:15] when he gets
[00:44:16] down there
[00:44:17] he's amazed
[00:44:17] at how much
[00:44:18] old republic
[00:44:19] currencies down
[00:44:19] here
[00:44:21] 1139
[00:44:21] vaults
[00:44:22] each filled
[00:44:23] with countless
[00:44:24] data
[00:44:24] he's practically
[00:44:25] drooling
[00:44:26] he seriously
[00:44:27] almost starts
[00:44:28] to cry
[00:44:28] he's so
[00:44:29] overwhelmed
[00:44:29] with all
[00:44:30] this treasure
[00:44:31] which Jude
[00:44:31] Law
[00:44:32] it was
[00:44:32] incredible
[00:44:34] I honestly
[00:44:35] I mean he
[00:44:36] kind of just
[00:44:36] pushes one
[00:44:38] of the
[00:44:39] units
[00:44:39] and it
[00:44:40] they start
[00:44:41] to fall
[00:44:42] off
[00:44:42] and all
[00:44:42] I could
[00:44:43] think is
[00:44:43] he's doing
[00:44:44] that but I
[00:44:45] feel like he
[00:44:46] just wants to
[00:44:46] actually get
[00:44:47] up and lay
[00:44:48] on it and
[00:44:49] make like a
[00:44:49] money angel
[00:44:51] credit angel
[00:44:52] yeah
[00:44:54] the droid's
[00:44:56] gotta be standing
[00:44:56] there like
[00:44:56] he's like
[00:44:58] what is wrong
[00:44:59] with this guy
[00:45:00] it's the weirdest
[00:45:02] emissary
[00:45:02] I've ever
[00:45:03] seen
[00:45:04] and that's
[00:45:05] the part
[00:45:06] he's playing
[00:45:06] because that's
[00:45:08] who they
[00:45:08] think he is
[00:45:09] that's who
[00:45:09] the droids
[00:45:10] think he
[00:45:10] is
[00:45:11] yeah
[00:45:11] and he's
[00:45:12] just playing
[00:45:12] that part
[00:45:13] and the kids
[00:45:13] are just
[00:45:14] not
[00:45:14] you must
[00:45:15] be the
[00:45:15] emissary
[00:45:16] from the
[00:45:16] republic
[00:45:16] that's
[00:45:17] me
[00:45:17] you nailed
[00:45:19] it
[00:45:19] let's go
[00:45:21] and he
[00:45:21] wants so
[00:45:22] bad to
[00:45:23] communicate
[00:45:23] with the
[00:45:23] ship
[00:45:24] and
[00:45:24] the droids
[00:45:26] are not
[00:45:26] letting him
[00:45:27] they're
[00:45:27] like
[00:45:28] no
[00:45:28] he wants
[00:45:29] to talk
[00:45:29] to the
[00:45:29] manager
[00:45:30] I mean
[00:45:30] supervisor
[00:45:32] yes
[00:45:34] which I've
[00:45:35] got thoughts
[00:45:35] about that
[00:45:35] I'll talk
[00:45:36] about it
[00:45:36] but uh
[00:45:37] yeah I
[00:45:38] have a weird
[00:45:39] theory about
[00:45:39] the supervisor
[00:45:40] when we get
[00:45:41] to it we
[00:45:42] can
[00:45:42] I'll
[00:45:43] nice
[00:45:43] I'll tell
[00:45:44] you
[00:45:44] I'm curious
[00:45:45] what it
[00:45:45] yeah
[00:45:46] yeah so
[00:45:46] lastly
[00:45:47] what I'll
[00:45:47] leave
[00:45:47] with
[00:45:48] silvo
[00:45:49] jod
[00:45:49] whatever
[00:45:50] uh
[00:45:50] yeah
[00:45:51] as the
[00:45:51] kids
[00:45:51] reuniting
[00:45:52] with their
[00:45:52] parents
[00:45:52] that we
[00:45:53] talked
[00:45:54] about
[00:45:54] that
[00:45:54] it's good
[00:45:54] we got
[00:45:55] that
[00:45:55] and then
[00:45:56] that is
[00:45:56] interrupted
[00:45:57] right at the
[00:45:58] cliffhanger
[00:45:59] end of this episode
[00:46:00] this chilling shot
[00:46:01] of jod
[00:46:02] igniting the
[00:46:02] lightsaber
[00:46:03] and it is a
[00:46:04] quite impactful
[00:46:05] cliffhanger
[00:46:07] I will say
[00:46:08] though after
[00:46:08] thinking about
[00:46:09] it watching
[00:46:09] it a second
[00:46:10] time letting
[00:46:10] it soak
[00:46:12] I feel like
[00:46:13] it's a
[00:46:13] misdirect
[00:46:15] I feel like
[00:46:16] we're gonna
[00:46:16] start the
[00:46:17] finale episode
[00:46:17] with him
[00:46:19] being nice
[00:46:20] trying to
[00:46:21] play it off
[00:46:21] as he's some
[00:46:22] kind of
[00:46:22] benevolent Jedi
[00:46:23] who rescued
[00:46:24] their children
[00:46:24] like that's
[00:46:25] my guess
[00:46:25] I don't
[00:46:26] think
[00:46:26] it's as
[00:46:28] diabolical
[00:46:29] as it looks
[00:46:30] like right
[00:46:30] when they
[00:46:30] cut to black
[00:46:31] in this episode
[00:46:32] but how long
[00:46:33] are the kids
[00:46:34] gonna go
[00:46:34] along with
[00:46:35] right
[00:46:35] exactly
[00:46:37] I mean
[00:46:38] they've got
[00:46:38] security droids
[00:46:39] all around
[00:46:41] can you
[00:46:42] really handle
[00:46:42] all of them
[00:46:44] yeah but
[00:46:45] are the kids
[00:46:45] gonna be
[00:46:46] willing to
[00:46:47] risk that
[00:46:47] I don't
[00:46:48] know I
[00:46:49] don't think
[00:46:49] so
[00:46:50] I think
[00:46:51] they'd be
[00:46:51] better off
[00:46:52] to go back
[00:46:52] inside
[00:46:53] the onyx
[00:46:54] cinder
[00:46:54] and fix
[00:46:55] 33
[00:46:59] so yeah
[00:46:59] so I
[00:47:00] don't know
[00:47:01] I don't
[00:47:01] know where
[00:47:01] we're gonna
[00:47:02] kick next
[00:47:04] week off
[00:47:04] but I'm
[00:47:05] excited
[00:47:07] me too
[00:47:09] I can't
[00:47:09] believe that
[00:47:10] we've gotten
[00:47:10] to this
[00:47:11] point where
[00:47:13] we're at
[00:47:13] the end
[00:47:14] of the season
[00:47:17] I did
[00:47:18] really like
[00:47:18] how
[00:47:20] the episode
[00:47:21] started where
[00:47:22] we were
[00:47:22] getting the
[00:47:23] parents coming
[00:47:24] together
[00:47:24] like each
[00:47:25] one had a
[00:47:26] different thing
[00:47:27] to do with
[00:47:29] the communicator
[00:47:30] and what they
[00:47:31] were trying to
[00:47:31] do and how
[00:47:32] they were so
[00:47:33] careful in the
[00:47:35] message that they
[00:47:35] sent up to
[00:47:37] not reveal
[00:47:38] anything because
[00:47:39] I mean it's
[00:47:40] obvious that they
[00:47:41] were doing it
[00:47:42] and I think
[00:47:43] they expected
[00:47:44] Neil's mom
[00:47:45] definitely
[00:47:46] she could just
[00:47:48] tell something's
[00:47:49] gonna happen
[00:47:50] because they
[00:47:51] were doing
[00:47:51] something it's
[00:47:52] an energy
[00:47:52] thing I think
[00:47:53] and yeah
[00:47:54] those droids
[00:47:55] are everywhere
[00:47:56] they seem to
[00:47:58] yeah well if
[00:47:59] you're gonna
[00:47:59] talk about that
[00:48:00] then you're
[00:48:01] gonna kick me
[00:48:01] off into my
[00:48:02] super super
[00:48:04] nerdy breakdown
[00:48:05] that I had to
[00:48:06] do at the
[00:48:06] beginning of
[00:48:07] this episode
[00:48:09] this was my
[00:48:09] shot to be
[00:48:11] super nerd
[00:48:11] about something
[00:48:12] in Star Wars
[00:48:15] so let's talk
[00:48:15] about it
[00:48:16] when you're
[00:48:16] talking about
[00:48:16] that thing
[00:48:17] Neil's mother
[00:48:19] said the
[00:48:19] thing or at
[00:48:20] least part of
[00:48:21] it she was
[00:48:22] about to say
[00:48:22] the whole thing
[00:48:25] until she
[00:48:26] got cut off
[00:48:27] by spotlights
[00:48:27] but she
[00:48:28] she entered a
[00:48:29] special club
[00:48:29] of Star Wars
[00:48:30] characters that
[00:48:31] have uttered
[00:48:31] the iconic
[00:48:33] words either
[00:48:34] slightly varied
[00:48:35] or being cut
[00:48:36] off or interrupted
[00:48:38] I have a bad
[00:48:39] feeling about
[00:48:40] this
[00:48:43] it has been
[00:48:44] spoken to
[00:48:46] some degree
[00:48:46] in every single
[00:48:48] Star Wars movie
[00:48:49] and in most
[00:48:50] shows now
[00:48:52] before the
[00:48:53] Star Wars nerds
[00:48:53] come at me
[00:48:54] I'm actually in
[00:48:55] me yes the
[00:48:56] words are not
[00:48:57] actually spoken
[00:48:57] in galactic
[00:48:59] basic standard
[00:48:59] or English
[00:49:00] as we would
[00:49:01] say in
[00:49:03] The Last Jedi
[00:49:04] but Rian
[00:49:05] Johnson did
[00:49:07] confirm or
[00:49:07] state that
[00:49:08] BB-8 did
[00:49:09] in fact
[00:49:09] say that
[00:49:10] line even
[00:49:10] though it's
[00:49:13] but then
[00:49:14] literally because
[00:49:15] then Poe
[00:49:16] Dameron looks
[00:49:16] at him and
[00:49:16] goes you
[00:49:17] know think
[00:49:17] positive thoughts
[00:49:18] BB-8 and
[00:49:19] then even
[00:49:20] Leia responds
[00:49:21] to something
[00:49:22] with you know
[00:49:22] to him about
[00:49:23] it where it
[00:49:24] kind of confirms
[00:49:24] like that's
[00:49:25] what he said
[00:49:25] was I have a
[00:49:26] bad feeling
[00:49:26] about this
[00:49:27] so it's
[00:49:27] like even
[00:49:28] though it
[00:49:28] was in
[00:49:29] binary it
[00:49:30] was there
[00:49:32] but yeah
[00:49:33] so I got
[00:49:34] really nerdy
[00:49:35] with it
[00:49:36] so I
[00:49:36] looked up
[00:49:37] and found
[00:49:37] the entire
[00:49:39] list of
[00:49:40] characters
[00:49:40] in all
[00:49:41] TV and
[00:49:43] all movies
[00:49:45] and shows
[00:49:45] that have
[00:49:46] spoken that
[00:49:47] line or at
[00:49:47] least partially
[00:49:48] before being
[00:49:48] interrupted
[00:49:49] or having a
[00:49:50] slight variation
[00:49:51] on it
[00:49:53] so Obi-Wan
[00:49:54] Kenobi
[00:49:54] so I'll
[00:49:55] talk to the
[00:49:55] movies first
[00:49:56] and there's
[00:49:57] some of
[00:49:57] these have
[00:49:58] multiple times
[00:49:58] I'm just
[00:49:59] gonna include
[00:49:59] them once
[00:50:00] and then even
[00:50:00] when I get
[00:50:01] to Clone Wars
[00:50:01] Anakin and
[00:50:02] Obi-Wan and
[00:50:03] stuff say
[00:50:03] them again
[00:50:04] I won't
[00:50:04] include them
[00:50:05] in the list
[00:50:05] in those
[00:50:05] because I'm
[00:50:06] already telling
[00:50:06] them now
[00:50:07] but yeah
[00:50:07] Obi-Wan
[00:50:08] Kenobi
[00:50:09] Anakin Skywalker
[00:50:10] Han Solo
[00:50:11] K2SO
[00:50:14] in Rogue One
[00:50:16] Leia Organa
[00:50:18] C-3PO
[00:50:19] BB-8
[00:50:20] according to
[00:50:21] Rian Johnson
[00:50:23] and Lando
[00:50:24] Calrissian
[00:50:26] and then
[00:50:26] when we get
[00:50:27] to TV
[00:50:27] shows
[00:50:28] Yord
[00:50:29] Fandar
[00:50:29] in The
[00:50:30] Acolyte
[00:50:30] set at
[00:50:31] the first
[00:50:31] the one
[00:50:32] time in
[00:50:32] that show
[00:50:33] in The
[00:50:34] Clone Wars
[00:50:34] aside from
[00:50:35] some of the
[00:50:36] other characters
[00:50:36] I've already
[00:50:36] mentioned
[00:50:37] a random
[00:50:37] B-1 series
[00:50:38] battle droid
[00:50:40] I have a bad
[00:50:41] feeling about
[00:50:42] this
[00:50:45] we got
[00:50:46] Commander Cody
[00:50:47] uses it
[00:50:48] Rex
[00:50:48] Newt Gunray
[00:50:49] himself
[00:50:49] says it
[00:50:50] twice in an
[00:50:51] episode
[00:50:52] Nadar
[00:50:53] Vebb
[00:50:53] says it
[00:50:54] Ahsoka
[00:50:55] Tano
[00:50:56] says it
[00:50:57] at one
[00:50:57] point
[00:50:57] Mace Windu
[00:50:59] utters those
[00:50:59] words
[00:51:00] Supreme
[00:51:01] Chancellor
[00:51:01] Palpatine
[00:51:02] himself
[00:51:02] uses the
[00:51:03] line
[00:51:03] in
[00:51:03] Clone Wars
[00:51:04] Lagos
[00:51:05] uses it
[00:51:06] in WAC
[00:51:06] 47
[00:51:07] and then
[00:51:09] in Rebels
[00:51:10] Ezra Bridger
[00:51:11] says it once
[00:51:12] and then
[00:51:13] again it's
[00:51:13] kind of
[00:51:14] binary speak
[00:51:15] but he
[00:51:15] has his
[00:51:15] own way
[00:51:16] to where
[00:51:17] if you
[00:51:17] watch all
[00:51:17] of Rebels
[00:51:18] you start
[00:51:18] to understand
[00:51:19] him even
[00:51:19] when he
[00:51:20] is a
[00:51:20] droid
[00:51:20] speaking
[00:51:21] but C-110P
[00:51:23] also known
[00:51:23] as
[00:51:25] everyone's
[00:51:25] favorite war
[00:51:26] criminal
[00:51:26] psychopath
[00:51:27] droid
[00:51:27] Chopper
[00:51:28] says it
[00:51:29] so many
[00:51:29] times
[00:51:30] throughout
[00:51:30] Rebels
[00:51:32] You have
[00:51:33] brought up
[00:51:34] Chopper
[00:51:34] so many
[00:51:35] times
[00:51:36] over the
[00:51:37] last couple
[00:51:37] of weeks
[00:51:38] just in
[00:51:38] conversations
[00:51:39] that we've
[00:51:40] had
[00:51:40] He's
[00:51:41] the best
[00:51:41] he's
[00:51:42] he's a
[00:51:43] menace
[00:51:43] he's a
[00:51:44] war criminal
[00:51:45] and he's
[00:51:46] awful
[00:51:46] to everyone
[00:51:47] and I
[00:51:47] love him
[00:51:48] so dearly
[00:51:51] and then
[00:51:52] in the
[00:51:53] show
[00:51:54] Ahsoka
[00:51:54] recently
[00:51:55] it is
[00:51:56] very
[00:51:57] varied
[00:51:58] spoken by
[00:51:59] Jason
[00:51:59] Syndulla
[00:52:00] Hera's
[00:52:01] son
[00:52:01] where he
[00:52:02] just says
[00:52:02] I have
[00:52:02] a bad
[00:52:03] feeling
[00:52:03] and he
[00:52:04] leaves it
[00:52:04] there
[00:52:04] but
[00:52:05] there's
[00:52:06] that
[00:52:06] in Star
[00:52:07] Wars
[00:52:07] Resistance
[00:52:08] it's
[00:52:08] said once
[00:52:09] by
[00:52:09] Kazuta
[00:52:09] Jono
[00:52:10] and then
[00:52:11] now
[00:52:11] finally
[00:52:12] adding
[00:52:12] herself
[00:52:13] to the
[00:52:13] list
[00:52:13] is
[00:52:14] Numa
[00:52:14] Neil's
[00:52:15] mother
[00:52:15] here in
[00:52:15] Skeleton
[00:52:16] Crew
[00:52:16] so
[00:52:17] that was
[00:52:18] a fun
[00:52:18] super
[00:52:18] nerdy
[00:52:19] little
[00:52:19] trivia
[00:52:19] tangent
[00:52:20] about
[00:52:20] that
[00:52:21] line
[00:52:21] and all
[00:52:22] of it
[00:52:22] but
[00:52:22] you know
[00:52:23] it felt
[00:52:24] fun to do
[00:52:25] back to our
[00:52:25] regularly
[00:52:26] schedule
[00:52:26] programming
[00:52:31] well
[00:52:31] that I
[00:52:33] feel like
[00:52:33] was my
[00:52:33] education
[00:52:34] for this
[00:52:35] episode
[00:52:35] I
[00:52:36] understand
[00:52:37] something
[00:52:39] that I
[00:52:39] had no
[00:52:39] idea
[00:52:40] of
[00:52:40] but now
[00:52:41] I
[00:52:41] I guess
[00:52:42] it's
[00:52:43] uh
[00:52:43] it's
[00:52:43] canon
[00:52:44] I guess
[00:52:44] in
[00:52:45] Star
[00:52:45] Wars
[00:52:46] okay
[00:52:46] that's
[00:52:47] good to
[00:52:47] know
[00:52:48] yeah
[00:52:48] that
[00:52:48] that is
[00:52:49] it's a
[00:52:50] running
[00:52:50] bit
[00:52:51] honestly
[00:52:51] for Star
[00:52:52] Wars
[00:52:52] is just
[00:52:52] in every
[00:52:53] movie
[00:52:53] and then
[00:52:54] most shows
[00:52:55] have included
[00:52:55] it to some
[00:52:56] degree
[00:52:56] at least
[00:52:57] once
[00:52:58] all right
[00:52:59] well
[00:53:00] back to
[00:53:01] the parents
[00:53:01] who are
[00:53:02] sending
[00:53:03] this
[00:53:04] communicator
[00:53:04] I thought
[00:53:05] it was
[00:53:06] cool
[00:53:06] that it
[00:53:06] was KB's
[00:53:07] parents
[00:53:07] that were
[00:53:08] kind of
[00:53:08] like
[00:53:08] building
[00:53:09] the
[00:53:09] communicator
[00:53:10] because
[00:53:11] they're
[00:53:11] the like
[00:53:12] techie
[00:53:12] people
[00:53:12] that are
[00:53:13] gotta be
[00:53:14] good at
[00:53:14] all that
[00:53:14] kind of
[00:53:15] stuff
[00:53:15] I guess
[00:53:15] definitely
[00:53:17] and
[00:53:22] it just
[00:53:22] made me
[00:53:23] think of
[00:53:23] like
[00:53:23] an
[00:53:23] Olympic
[00:53:24] relay
[00:53:24] where
[00:53:26] they
[00:53:26] run
[00:53:27] and
[00:53:29] fall
[00:53:29] to the
[00:53:29] ground
[00:53:30] and
[00:53:30] someone
[00:53:30] else
[00:53:30] picks it
[00:53:31] up
[00:53:31] and
[00:53:31] keeps
[00:53:31] going
[00:53:32] and
[00:53:32] it's
[00:53:32] kind
[00:53:32] of
[00:53:33] like
[00:53:33] at
[00:53:33] a
[00:53:33] relay
[00:53:34] to
[00:53:35] get
[00:53:35] it
[00:53:35] where
[00:53:35] it
[00:53:35] needs
[00:53:35] to
[00:53:36] go
[00:53:36] where
[00:53:36] at
[00:53:52] I
[00:53:52] really
[00:53:52] thought
[00:53:53] so
[00:53:53] I
[00:53:55] thought
[00:53:56] it
[00:53:56] was
[00:53:57] interesting
[00:53:57] that
[00:53:57] when
[00:53:58] they're
[00:53:58] all
[00:53:58] they've
[00:53:59] been
[00:53:59] taken
[00:54:00] back
[00:54:00] to
[00:54:01] the
[00:54:02] center
[00:54:02] the
[00:54:03] droids
[00:54:03] are
[00:54:03] asking
[00:54:04] them
[00:54:04] why
[00:54:04] they
[00:54:04] did
[00:54:05] it
[00:54:05] and
[00:54:05] I'm
[00:54:05] just
[00:54:06] like
[00:54:06] yeah
[00:54:07] are you
[00:54:08] that
[00:54:08] thick
[00:54:08] I mean
[00:54:09] really
[00:54:09] right
[00:54:10] do you
[00:54:11] not
[00:54:11] understand
[00:54:12] they didn't
[00:54:13] have a
[00:54:13] choice
[00:54:14] that scene
[00:54:15] ended
[00:54:15] with
[00:54:16] maybe
[00:54:17] my
[00:54:17] favorite
[00:54:17] comedic
[00:54:18] moment
[00:54:18] of this
[00:54:19] episode
[00:54:19] that
[00:54:20] cracked
[00:54:20] me up
[00:54:21] a little
[00:54:21] bit
[00:54:21] besides
[00:54:21] jobs
[00:54:22] oops
[00:54:24] is
[00:54:25] one of
[00:54:26] KB's
[00:54:27] moms
[00:54:28] I don't
[00:54:29] remember
[00:54:30] which one
[00:54:30] but yeah
[00:54:31] she says
[00:54:32] the problem
[00:54:32] is you
[00:54:33] droids
[00:54:33] don't
[00:54:33] listen
[00:54:34] and the
[00:54:35] droids
[00:54:35] response
[00:54:35] we are
[00:54:36] always
[00:54:36] available
[00:54:37] for
[00:54:37] standby
[00:54:38] and then
[00:54:39] just
[00:54:39] turns
[00:54:40] and walks
[00:54:40] off
[00:54:40] it's
[00:54:42] such a
[00:54:43] perfect
[00:54:43] timed
[00:54:44] comedic
[00:54:44] gag
[00:54:45] that
[00:54:45] like
[00:54:46] so
[00:54:47] good
[00:54:47] so
[00:54:48] good
[00:54:49] we
[00:54:50] feel
[00:54:51] the need
[00:54:51] to do
[00:54:52] things
[00:54:52] on our
[00:54:52] own
[00:54:53] so
[00:54:53] good
[00:54:54] you don't
[00:54:56] and at
[00:54:57] that time
[00:54:57] we get
[00:54:58] KB's
[00:55:00] mom has
[00:55:01] that bracelet
[00:55:02] with the
[00:55:03] vital sign
[00:55:03] so she
[00:55:04] realizes
[00:55:04] that
[00:55:05] she's back
[00:55:05] in range
[00:55:06] yeah
[00:55:06] so
[00:55:07] they
[00:55:08] start
[00:55:08] to get
[00:55:08] excited
[00:55:09] it's
[00:55:10] funny
[00:55:10] though
[00:55:11] because
[00:55:11] they send
[00:55:11] up that
[00:55:12] communication
[00:55:12] and it's
[00:55:13] just like
[00:55:13] your kids
[00:55:14] have been
[00:55:15] on a
[00:55:15] magical
[00:55:15] adventure
[00:55:16] and they're
[00:55:16] almost home
[00:55:17] and they get
[00:55:17] your messages
[00:55:18] when they're
[00:55:19] almost home
[00:55:19] right
[00:55:20] like if
[00:55:21] they would
[00:55:21] still have
[00:55:21] just been
[00:55:22] out in
[00:55:22] the galaxy
[00:55:23] somewhere
[00:55:23] who knows
[00:55:24] how long
[00:55:24] that would
[00:55:25] have taken
[00:55:25] to get
[00:55:25] to the
[00:55:25] minute
[00:55:25] it ever
[00:55:26] did
[00:55:26] right
[00:55:27] it was
[00:55:27] such a
[00:55:27] shot in
[00:55:28] the dark
[00:55:28] anyway
[00:55:29] yeah
[00:55:29] but i'm glad
[00:55:30] that they
[00:55:30] tried
[00:55:31] i mean
[00:55:32] they all
[00:55:33] have these
[00:55:33] jobs that
[00:55:34] just seem
[00:55:35] to be so
[00:55:35] secretive
[00:55:38] because they're
[00:55:38] cogs in this
[00:55:39] giant wheel
[00:55:40] at aton
[00:55:42] and
[00:55:44] again
[00:55:46] i still
[00:55:47] don't think
[00:55:47] i mean
[00:55:48] we know
[00:55:48] that they
[00:55:49] we know
[00:55:50] that could
[00:55:51] the creation
[00:55:51] of money
[00:55:52] minting
[00:55:52] money
[00:55:53] is like
[00:55:54] a primary
[00:55:54] thing that
[00:55:55] they do
[00:55:56] on this
[00:55:56] planet
[00:55:57] but everything
[00:55:58] else i think
[00:55:59] is still
[00:56:00] kind of
[00:56:00] like what
[00:56:03] none of them
[00:56:04] know that this
[00:56:05] is happening
[00:56:05] from what i
[00:56:07] understand
[00:56:07] like they
[00:56:08] don't know
[00:56:08] that there's
[00:56:09] all that money
[00:56:09] underneath them
[00:56:10] yeah so
[00:56:13] which ties
[00:56:14] into the
[00:56:14] last point
[00:56:15] that i have
[00:56:15] but i know
[00:56:16] you said
[00:56:16] that you
[00:56:17] also have
[00:56:17] some theories
[00:56:18] and thoughts
[00:56:18] about it
[00:56:19] as well
[00:56:19] i think my
[00:56:20] theory is
[00:56:20] ridiculous
[00:56:21] it's my
[00:56:22] theory nonetheless
[00:56:27] so i have
[00:56:28] a feeling
[00:56:29] we're gonna
[00:56:29] we may
[00:56:30] meet well
[00:56:31] we should
[00:56:32] meet the
[00:56:32] supervisor
[00:56:32] next week
[00:56:33] i have a
[00:56:34] feeling
[00:56:36] i think
[00:56:37] given
[00:56:39] the mysterious
[00:56:40] way that
[00:56:40] they've been
[00:56:41] about
[00:56:42] the great
[00:56:43] pirate
[00:56:43] tack
[00:56:44] rennod
[00:56:47] that
[00:56:49] he may
[00:56:50] be the
[00:56:51] supervisor
[00:56:51] himself
[00:56:52] yeah
[00:56:53] i mean
[00:56:54] it's been
[00:56:54] it's ridiculous
[00:56:55] but
[00:56:56] yeah
[00:56:56] could be
[00:56:58] i mean
[00:57:00] where else
[00:57:01] would he
[00:57:01] want to be
[00:57:02] in the
[00:57:03] middle of
[00:57:04] all this
[00:57:04] money
[00:57:04] i mean
[00:57:05] if you
[00:57:05] think
[00:57:06] about it
[00:57:06] yeah
[00:57:07] i don't
[00:57:08] know the
[00:57:08] exact
[00:57:09] time frame
[00:57:09] because
[00:57:09] again
[00:57:10] that ship
[00:57:10] was buried
[00:57:11] under the
[00:57:11] ground
[00:57:12] for a
[00:57:12] long
[00:57:12] time
[00:57:13] so it's
[00:57:13] this
[00:57:15] how long
[00:57:16] ago
[00:57:16] exactly
[00:57:17] but then
[00:57:17] it's
[00:57:18] star wars
[00:57:19] so
[00:57:20] somehow
[00:57:21] palpatine
[00:57:21] returned
[00:57:22] so you
[00:57:22] never know
[00:57:23] what's
[00:57:23] gonna happen
[00:57:23] i mean
[00:57:25] it could be
[00:57:26] a descendant
[00:57:27] but i
[00:57:27] don't know
[00:57:28] i mean
[00:57:28] it's kind
[00:57:28] of a
[00:57:29] ridiculous
[00:57:29] theory
[00:57:30] but
[00:57:30] i just
[00:57:31] feel like
[00:57:31] it's tied
[00:57:33] in there
[00:57:33] somehow
[00:57:34] yeah
[00:57:35] so my
[00:57:36] thought
[00:57:36] about that
[00:57:37] and there's
[00:57:38] there's a few
[00:57:38] things i'm
[00:57:39] kind of
[00:57:39] breaking down
[00:57:39] my last
[00:57:39] point is
[00:57:40] just kind
[00:57:40] of at
[00:57:40] at
[00:57:41] and
[00:57:41] mysteries
[00:57:42] unwrapped
[00:57:42] just to
[00:57:43] find more
[00:57:43] wrapping
[00:57:44] paper
[00:57:44] uh
[00:57:46] and a lot
[00:57:47] of it
[00:57:47] or the
[00:57:48] first part
[00:57:48] of it
[00:57:48] came in
[00:57:49] that video
[00:57:49] from home
[00:57:50] which we
[00:57:51] talked about
[00:57:51] mostly i mean
[00:57:52] it was just
[00:57:52] emotionally beautiful
[00:57:53] love for the
[00:57:53] kids the
[00:57:54] the line about
[00:57:55] neil's little
[00:57:55] brother
[00:57:56] uh
[00:57:57] but
[00:57:58] farah and
[00:57:59] wendell gave
[00:57:59] some really
[00:58:00] interesting and
[00:58:01] major information
[00:58:03] telling the kids
[00:58:04] find a republic
[00:58:05] emissary
[00:58:06] they know
[00:58:07] about at
[00:58:07] at
[00:58:07] which means
[00:58:09] that the
[00:58:09] mint on
[00:58:10] at
[00:58:10] at
[00:58:11] is in
[00:58:11] connection
[00:58:12] to the
[00:58:12] republic
[00:58:13] in some
[00:58:14] way
[00:58:14] the new
[00:58:15] republic
[00:58:16] i'm assuming
[00:58:16] that's the
[00:58:17] only republic
[00:58:18] at this
[00:58:18] time that
[00:58:18] they should
[00:58:19] be talking
[00:58:19] about
[00:58:19] um
[00:58:21] so maybe
[00:58:22] at
[00:58:22] at
[00:58:22] is on
[00:58:23] the good
[00:58:23] side of
[00:58:24] things
[00:58:24] maybe this
[00:58:24] money ends
[00:58:25] up funding
[00:58:26] the resistance
[00:58:26] efforts
[00:58:28] i
[00:58:29] i don't
[00:58:29] know like
[00:58:30] i'm still
[00:58:31] interested to
[00:58:31] see how
[00:58:32] old republic
[00:58:32] systems
[00:58:33] this old
[00:58:34] republic
[00:58:35] credit
[00:58:36] survived
[00:58:37] the empire
[00:58:38] and are now
[00:58:38] being used
[00:58:39] by the
[00:58:39] new republic
[00:58:40] in some
[00:58:40] way it's
[00:58:41] because there's
[00:58:42] been so many
[00:58:42] changes of
[00:58:43] hands and
[00:58:43] sides through
[00:58:44] all of that
[00:58:44] so it's
[00:58:45] i'm still
[00:58:46] at a loss
[00:58:47] like i'm like
[00:58:47] i want this
[00:58:48] explained to
[00:58:48] me i'm
[00:58:49] i'm intrigued
[00:58:50] though like
[00:58:50] how does
[00:58:51] this all
[00:58:51] work because
[00:58:52] apparently the
[00:58:52] republic are
[00:58:54] involved that
[00:58:55] they're who's
[00:58:56] hiding at
[00:58:57] aton for
[00:58:58] reason
[00:58:59] so
[00:59:01] let's see
[00:59:03] 1139
[00:59:05] reasons
[00:59:07] vaults
[00:59:08] yes
[00:59:08] that's
[00:59:09] a lot
[00:59:10] of reasons
[00:59:11] yeah so
[00:59:12] they left
[00:59:12] some really
[00:59:13] interesting
[00:59:14] crumbs there
[00:59:15] that i
[00:59:15] need to
[00:59:16] know more
[00:59:17] about
[00:59:17] and i
[00:59:18] don't
[00:59:18] are we
[00:59:18] gonna get
[00:59:19] all that
[00:59:19] information
[00:59:20] in one
[00:59:20] last episode
[00:59:21] i don't
[00:59:21] know
[00:59:22] uh
[00:59:22] i know
[00:59:23] which
[00:59:25] what is
[00:59:27] the game
[00:59:27] plan for
[00:59:28] this story
[00:59:28] yeah
[00:59:29] how does
[00:59:30] it fit
[00:59:30] into the
[00:59:31] bigger
[00:59:31] picture
[00:59:33] is it
[00:59:33] something that
[00:59:34] can continue
[00:59:35] i want to
[00:59:36] see these
[00:59:36] characters again
[00:59:37] i get the
[00:59:38] thought of
[00:59:40] thinking that
[00:59:41] the last
[00:59:42] chance that
[00:59:43] we're gonna
[00:59:43] or the last
[00:59:44] time we're
[00:59:44] gonna spend
[00:59:44] with them
[00:59:45] is next
[00:59:46] week and
[00:59:47] that's gonna
[00:59:48] be it
[00:59:48] yeah
[00:59:50] they're too
[00:59:50] fun i
[00:59:52] just
[00:59:54] have loved
[00:59:55] this adventure
[00:59:56] it's been an
[00:59:56] adventure like
[00:59:57] to be on
[00:59:59] the story and
[01:00:00] oh yeah
[01:00:01] talk about it
[01:00:02] every week
[01:00:03] yeah and then
[01:00:04] that whole message
[01:00:05] from the supervisor
[01:00:06] that interrupted
[01:00:08] the security
[01:00:09] droid there
[01:00:09] about the
[01:00:10] emissary ship
[01:00:11] is approaching
[01:00:12] it's kind of
[01:00:13] sus to me
[01:00:15] like part of me
[01:00:16] wonders if it
[01:00:16] was automated
[01:00:17] and is there
[01:00:18] actually a
[01:00:19] supervisor at
[01:00:20] all
[01:00:21] uh
[01:00:22] wouldn't be
[01:00:22] the first
[01:00:23] time
[01:00:23] how often
[01:00:24] do these
[01:00:25] emissaries
[01:00:25] actually arrive
[01:00:26] if at all
[01:00:28] because the
[01:00:29] people didn't
[01:00:30] seem to be
[01:00:30] prepared or
[01:00:31] have an
[01:00:31] idea about
[01:00:32] where it
[01:00:32] was going to
[01:00:33] be docking
[01:00:33] and when the
[01:00:34] ground opened
[01:00:34] up seemed
[01:00:35] to catch
[01:00:36] everybody off
[01:00:36] guard like
[01:00:38] it doesn't
[01:00:38] seem like you
[01:00:39] have the
[01:00:39] people of
[01:00:40] ad at know
[01:00:41] that these
[01:00:41] emissaries are
[01:00:42] coming back
[01:00:42] and forth
[01:00:43] it's not
[01:00:43] something that's
[01:00:44] been shown
[01:00:44] and it kind
[01:00:45] of felt like
[01:00:45] they didn't
[01:00:46] know what
[01:00:46] was happening
[01:00:47] uh
[01:00:48] i mean
[01:00:49] i'm starting
[01:00:49] to wonder
[01:00:50] if maybe
[01:00:50] you're right
[01:00:51] and there
[01:00:51] isn't a
[01:00:52] person
[01:00:53] maybe it's
[01:00:54] some sort
[01:00:54] of um
[01:00:57] hive mind
[01:00:58] like technological
[01:00:59] mind
[01:01:00] yeah exactly
[01:01:02] some algorithm
[01:01:03] or something
[01:01:04] which star
[01:01:04] wars hasn't
[01:01:05] gotten into
[01:01:06] that too much
[01:01:07] but i mean
[01:01:07] yeah who
[01:01:08] knows uh
[01:01:08] which is again
[01:01:10] what i was
[01:01:10] kind of laughing
[01:01:11] about the
[01:01:11] you know
[01:01:13] jod wanting
[01:01:14] to speak to
[01:01:14] the supervisor
[01:01:15] uh
[01:01:16] is better
[01:01:17] than speaking
[01:01:18] to a droid
[01:01:18] and i was
[01:01:18] like i don't
[01:01:19] know because
[01:01:19] i get a funny
[01:01:20] feeling that the
[01:01:20] supervisor may
[01:01:21] not be all
[01:01:22] that you know
[01:01:23] more than that
[01:01:23] themselves i don't
[01:01:25] know uh
[01:01:25] like it could be a
[01:01:26] consciousness
[01:01:27] yeah
[01:01:29] because i just
[01:01:30] i don't see
[01:01:31] yeah
[01:01:31] yeah
[01:01:32] yeah
[01:01:32] well
[01:01:32] i'm not sure
[01:01:33] what we're
[01:01:34] gonna get
[01:01:34] i'm not
[01:01:35] i don't
[01:01:36] so many
[01:01:36] questions
[01:01:38] i hope that
[01:01:39] we'll have
[01:01:39] some answers
[01:01:40] i hope that
[01:01:41] we get some
[01:01:42] answers at least
[01:01:43] next week with
[01:01:44] the end
[01:01:44] do you have
[01:01:45] any other
[01:01:46] notes or
[01:01:47] anything else
[01:01:48] i touched on
[01:01:50] briefly the
[01:01:50] killing of
[01:01:51] brutus but i
[01:01:51] just wanted to
[01:01:52] say that
[01:01:54] kb using her
[01:01:55] her voice
[01:01:56] modulator to
[01:01:57] say let us
[01:01:58] go or this
[01:01:59] guy is done
[01:02:00] for and then
[01:02:00] jaw just takes
[01:02:01] brutus out of
[01:02:02] the equation
[01:02:02] yep um
[01:02:03] i thought was
[01:02:05] very badass
[01:02:06] is kind of
[01:02:06] you know
[01:02:07] i was still
[01:02:09] kind of like
[01:02:11] you're sending
[01:02:11] a message to
[01:02:12] the rest of
[01:02:13] your crew that
[01:02:13] you're gonna
[01:02:14] sacrifice them
[01:02:15] i'm not sure
[01:02:16] that's the
[01:02:16] message you
[01:02:17] want to send
[01:02:18] well i don't
[01:02:19] i think he
[01:02:19] turns it around
[01:02:20] pretty well
[01:02:20] because then i
[01:02:21] mean after
[01:02:22] doing that what
[01:02:22] does he
[01:02:23] because the
[01:02:24] crew does they
[01:02:25] they pull up
[01:02:25] their blasters
[01:02:26] and kind of
[01:02:26] hold it on
[01:02:26] jaw and he
[01:02:27] just turns and
[01:02:28] says like
[01:02:29] brutus was a
[01:02:30] traitor and
[01:02:31] a mutineer
[01:02:31] and look where
[01:02:32] it got him
[01:02:33] do you want to
[01:02:33] follow him
[01:02:34] or do you
[01:02:34] want to
[01:02:34] follow me
[01:02:35] i'm giving
[01:02:35] you that
[01:02:36] option
[01:02:37] true
[01:02:39] that is
[01:02:39] true
[01:02:41] and i also
[01:02:42] really loved
[01:02:43] that when the
[01:02:44] kids were on
[01:02:45] their way
[01:02:47] back
[01:02:48] before they
[01:02:49] get in the
[01:02:50] tractor beam
[01:02:51] and they're
[01:02:51] just like
[01:02:53] going home
[01:02:54] and they're
[01:02:54] running around
[01:02:55] the ship and
[01:02:55] having so much
[01:02:56] fun we don't
[01:02:58] get to see
[01:02:58] them do
[01:02:59] that like
[01:03:00] just be
[01:03:00] kids and
[01:03:01] so i
[01:03:02] thought it
[01:03:02] was a lot
[01:03:03] of fun
[01:03:04] to see that
[01:03:05] to get to
[01:03:06] see that
[01:03:06] little bit
[01:03:07] of them
[01:03:07] being kids
[01:03:09] because
[01:03:10] other than
[01:03:11] in the
[01:03:11] beginning
[01:03:11] when neil
[01:03:13] and whim
[01:03:14] were pretending
[01:03:15] to be jedi
[01:03:16] i mean
[01:03:17] there just
[01:03:18] hasn't been
[01:03:18] enough play
[01:03:19] they've not
[01:03:20] really had a
[01:03:21] lot of time
[01:03:21] to play
[01:03:23] and so
[01:03:24] i just
[01:03:25] have two
[01:03:26] i have two
[01:03:27] questions that
[01:03:27] i put at
[01:03:28] the end of
[01:03:29] this are we
[01:03:30] going to meet
[01:03:30] the supervisor
[01:03:31] and how is
[01:03:32] this going to
[01:03:32] end
[01:03:32] yeah
[01:03:33] great questions
[01:03:35] that is what
[01:03:36] we'll answer
[01:03:37] next week
[01:03:39] hopefully
[01:03:41] do you have
[01:03:42] any notes
[01:03:43] i don't
[01:03:44] i
[01:03:45] knocked
[01:03:46] everything
[01:03:46] out in
[01:03:47] my points
[01:03:48] this week
[01:03:50] then it's
[01:03:51] time for some
[01:03:52] listener feedback
[01:03:53] and we
[01:03:54] will be back
[01:03:55] in just a
[01:03:56] few minutes
[01:04:12] and we
[01:04:13] are back
[01:04:14] with our
[01:04:14] listener feedback
[01:04:16] peg do you
[01:04:17] want to take
[01:04:17] the first one
[01:04:18] all right
[01:04:19] this first
[01:04:19] one comes
[01:04:20] from somebody
[01:04:21] regular listeners
[01:04:22] of this star
[01:04:24] wars tv cast
[01:04:25] may know very
[01:04:25] well
[01:04:26] jonathan
[01:04:26] buckalel
[01:04:27] uh
[01:04:29] he says
[01:04:30] uh
[01:04:30] binge watch
[01:04:31] catch up
[01:04:31] tonight
[01:04:32] been loving
[01:04:33] it so far
[01:04:33] good to know
[01:04:34] good to know
[01:04:34] the star wars
[01:04:36] man himself
[01:04:36] jonathan's been
[01:04:37] enjoying this
[01:04:38] series
[01:04:39] we also got
[01:04:40] one from
[01:04:41] katherine
[01:04:41] who said
[01:04:43] that message
[01:04:43] from home
[01:04:44] had me
[01:04:44] tearing up
[01:04:45] especially
[01:04:45] neil's little
[01:04:46] brother and
[01:04:47] whim's dad
[01:04:47] these kids
[01:04:48] have totally
[01:04:49] wizard parents
[01:04:51] not only
[01:04:52] were they
[01:04:53] helpful but
[01:04:53] they were
[01:04:54] honest and
[01:04:54] that meant
[01:04:55] a lot
[01:04:55] to whim
[01:04:57] there's
[01:04:57] something that
[01:04:58] makes me
[01:04:58] think jod will
[01:04:59] be a good
[01:04:59] guy in the
[01:05:00] end but
[01:05:00] every time
[01:05:00] he was on
[01:05:01] screen i
[01:05:01] was yelling
[01:05:02] at him
[01:05:02] whim called
[01:05:04] claimsies
[01:05:04] first but
[01:05:05] thankfully
[01:05:05] fern got
[01:05:06] him back
[01:05:06] with unclaimsies
[01:05:07] do you think
[01:05:08] the space
[01:05:09] rat can fix
[01:05:10] sm33
[01:05:12] i still want
[01:05:13] his babysitting
[01:05:14] services
[01:05:15] i'm so excited
[01:05:16] for the last
[01:05:17] episode
[01:05:19] you know
[01:05:20] that reminds
[01:05:21] me of
[01:05:21] something that
[01:05:22] i didn't
[01:05:22] mention about
[01:05:23] whim and
[01:05:24] his dad
[01:05:24] when everyone
[01:05:26] was reunited
[01:05:26] with their
[01:05:27] families
[01:05:27] whim and his
[01:05:28] dad kind
[01:05:29] of like
[01:05:29] went up to
[01:05:31] each other
[01:05:31] and they
[01:05:32] didn't hug
[01:05:32] and then they
[01:05:33] hugged
[01:05:33] like there was
[01:05:34] like this
[01:05:35] moment
[01:05:36] there's this
[01:05:37] moment yeah
[01:05:38] of like
[01:05:39] nervousness
[01:05:40] of like i
[01:05:40] don't know
[01:05:41] i was trying
[01:05:41] to read into
[01:05:42] what that
[01:05:42] was of
[01:05:43] whim being
[01:05:43] like how
[01:05:45] much trouble
[01:05:45] am i am do
[01:05:46] you hate me
[01:05:46] are you mad
[01:05:46] at me
[01:05:47] but i think
[01:05:48] even wendell
[01:05:49] was kind of on
[01:05:50] the same thing
[01:05:50] it's like do
[01:05:50] you forgive me
[01:05:51] i should have
[01:05:52] listened i should
[01:05:52] have like
[01:05:54] understood you
[01:05:54] more
[01:05:55] right there
[01:05:56] was this
[01:05:56] like trepidation
[01:05:57] between them
[01:05:57] that then
[01:05:58] that barrier
[01:05:59] was destroyed
[01:06:00] pretty quickly
[01:06:00] yeah
[01:06:02] well we do
[01:06:03] have a message
[01:06:04] from steve
[01:06:05] he live steved
[01:06:07] episode seven
[01:06:08] so let's
[01:06:09] relive it with
[01:06:09] him
[01:06:11] right now
[01:06:12] hello
[01:06:12] scouting crew
[01:06:13] cast this is
[01:06:14] steve
[01:06:15] sorry i had
[01:06:16] food in my
[01:06:16] mouth that's
[01:06:17] bad bad
[01:06:17] podcasting
[01:06:18] right there
[01:06:19] live steving
[01:06:19] but uh
[01:06:20] sorry i missed
[01:06:21] episode six but
[01:06:22] here we are
[01:06:22] starting episode
[01:06:23] seven we got
[01:06:23] the previously
[01:06:24] on and
[01:06:25] we're seeing
[01:06:25] all the things
[01:06:26] that we're
[01:06:26] remembering
[01:06:27] oh and back
[01:06:28] on at
[01:06:28] aton we're
[01:06:29] trying to send
[01:06:30] a message
[01:06:30] through the
[01:06:30] barrier
[01:06:30] oh she didn't
[01:06:31] get to finish
[01:06:32] the i have a
[01:06:33] bad feeling
[01:06:33] about this
[01:06:35] typical star
[01:06:35] wars line
[01:06:36] neil's parent
[01:06:37] right yeah
[01:06:37] they're not
[01:06:38] gonna let you
[01:06:39] keep the ship
[01:06:39] kids sorry
[01:06:40] yeah jode's
[01:06:42] right and is
[01:06:42] hidden behind
[01:06:43] a barrier of
[01:06:44] muck
[01:06:45] oh so the
[01:06:46] barrier has
[01:06:47] some sort of
[01:06:47] that it just
[01:06:48] destroyed that
[01:06:49] ship and jode's
[01:06:50] maybe we should
[01:06:50] send another
[01:06:51] oh how big is
[01:06:52] brutus's ship that
[01:06:53] he's just pulling
[01:06:53] in the what was
[01:06:54] the pirate ship
[01:06:55] called the
[01:06:56] onyx
[01:06:57] oh they grabbed
[01:06:59] brutus oh and
[01:07:01] he just shot
[01:07:02] brutus in the
[01:07:02] head with that
[01:07:03] blaster oh jode has
[01:07:04] a blaster but
[01:07:05] where's his
[01:07:05] lightsaber we
[01:07:06] never did see
[01:07:06] where that ended
[01:07:07] up and i guess
[01:07:08] jode is now
[01:07:09] captain right or
[01:07:10] silvo or dread
[01:07:11] pirate roberts or
[01:07:12] crimson red jack
[01:07:14] man whatever his
[01:07:15] name is so they
[01:07:16] need to find a
[01:07:17] republic emissary
[01:07:18] whatever that is
[01:07:19] to get through the
[01:07:20] barrier and win
[01:07:22] we need a plan but
[01:07:23] i'm just gonna
[01:07:25] jenkins this thing
[01:07:26] what is it
[01:07:26] leroy jenkins
[01:07:28] attack
[01:07:29] it didn't work
[01:07:30] i'm afraid it does
[01:07:32] work like that jode
[01:07:32] she can just claim
[01:07:33] unclaimsies and
[01:07:35] take the ship back
[01:07:36] i guess
[01:07:36] yes so 33
[01:07:38] knows how to get
[01:07:39] through the barrier
[01:07:39] oh that makes
[01:07:41] sense because he
[01:07:42] stole one of the
[01:07:43] men's own ships
[01:07:43] it should be able
[01:07:44] to make it through
[01:07:45] and apparently
[01:07:46] that's all it took
[01:07:46] uh fern just said
[01:07:48] the title of the
[01:07:49] episode we're gonna
[01:07:49] be in so much
[01:07:50] trouble mic drop
[01:07:52] oh and i guess uh
[01:07:54] jode got his
[01:07:55] lightsaber back and
[01:07:56] that's all for 33
[01:07:58] okay at least he
[01:07:59] didn't step on the
[01:08:00] rat thingy oh
[01:08:01] harsh words jode
[01:08:02] harsh words oh
[01:08:03] and the kids are
[01:08:06] ship and it has a
[01:08:08] landing port apparently
[01:08:10] just for this ship
[01:08:11] because it put him
[01:08:11] into a landing sequence
[01:08:12] right jode pretended to
[01:08:14] be the emissary yes
[01:08:15] i will see the
[01:08:16] supervisor or send
[01:08:18] him to me bring him
[01:08:18] to me bring me your
[01:08:19] finest refreshments
[01:08:20] oh so it couldn't
[01:08:21] bring the kids to
[01:08:22] their parents but it
[01:08:23] brought the parents to
[01:08:23] the kids oh and
[01:08:25] that's where it ends
[01:08:25] jode lights the
[01:08:26] lightsaber and uh
[01:08:28] now i gotta wait a
[01:08:29] week
[01:08:31] pank sentiments exact
[01:08:32] i i feel you on
[01:08:34] that how dare you
[01:08:35] make me wait
[01:08:38] oh but yeah
[01:08:39] that's great also
[01:08:40] going back to
[01:08:41] catherine's feedback
[01:08:42] for just a second
[01:08:43] because i'm not
[01:08:44] gonna let daphne just
[01:08:45] breeze right over it
[01:08:46] like she wanted to
[01:08:49] thank you catherine
[01:08:50] the gospel of wizard
[01:08:52] is working
[01:08:52] where numbers slowly
[01:08:55] grow and we're
[01:08:55] gonna get there
[01:08:57] we're gonna so
[01:08:58] thank you for that
[01:08:59] i appreciate it
[01:08:59] and for technically
[01:09:01] making daphne say
[01:09:02] it by her reading
[01:09:03] your feedback so
[01:09:04] there is that
[01:09:04] yeah and i knew
[01:09:06] that and i
[01:09:07] should have
[01:09:07] remembered
[01:09:09] i should have
[01:09:10] had you read
[01:09:10] that one
[01:09:14] she's been telling
[01:09:15] me all season
[01:09:15] you're not gonna
[01:09:16] get me to say
[01:09:17] it and catherine
[01:09:18] you got her to
[01:09:18] say it in some
[01:09:19] roundabout way
[01:09:20] of my own volition
[01:09:21] i am not going to
[01:09:22] say it
[01:09:23] if it's part of
[01:09:24] feedback i have to
[01:09:28] oh man well
[01:09:29] all right that's
[01:09:31] that's it that's the
[01:09:32] show this week
[01:09:33] uh man
[01:09:34] like like steve just
[01:09:36] said i gotta wait
[01:09:37] a week for the next
[01:09:38] one
[01:09:39] it sucks but
[01:09:41] thank you everyone
[01:09:42] for listening in this
[01:09:43] week we appreciate it
[01:09:44] our next episode

[01:09:46] season one
[01:09:47] episode eight
[01:09:48] oh the finale
[01:09:50] i'm not ready
[01:09:51] neither am i
[01:09:52] i'm sad
[01:09:53] i'm excited
[01:09:54] to see what
[01:09:55] happens but i'm
[01:09:56] sad that it's
[01:09:57] ending because
[01:09:57] this has just
[01:09:58] been so much
[01:09:59] fun
[01:09:59] yeah if all
[01:10:00] goes according
[01:10:01] to plan i
[01:10:01] should have
[01:10:02] a new
[01:10:03] uh nifty
[01:10:05] little skeleton
[01:10:05] crew t-shirt
[01:10:06] that i can wear
[01:10:07] while recording
[01:10:08] that finale episode
[01:10:08] even if it's
[01:10:09] just for me
[01:10:10] and you here on
[01:10:11] zoom but
[01:10:11] i should have
[01:10:12] it uh
[01:10:14] yeah if you'd
[01:10:15] like to write
[01:10:15] in leave us a
[01:10:16] message voicemail
[01:10:17] like steve did

[01:10:20] find all those
[01:10:21] ways of course
[01:10:21] we're at
[01:10:21] skeleton crew
[01:10:22] at podcastica
[01:10:23] dot com you
[01:10:23] can find links
[01:10:24] to all other
[01:10:25] socials and
[01:10:25] ways to get
[01:10:27] in touch with
[01:10:27] us and leave
[01:10:28] feedback at
[01:10:28] podcastica dot com
[01:10:30] while you're there
[01:10:31] be sure to check
[01:10:31] out our other
[01:10:32] shows so i
[01:10:35] was just on
[01:10:35] squid game cast
[01:10:36] this week to
[01:10:37] break down episode
[01:10:38] three i'm so
[01:10:39] excited to
[01:10:41] have been on
[01:10:42] that episode
[01:10:43] because i
[01:10:44] really enjoyed
[01:10:44] it and it
[01:10:45] introduced a
[01:10:46] whole bunch of
[01:10:47] things that i
[01:10:48] had a blast
[01:10:48] talking about
[01:10:49] that's awesome
[01:10:50] yeah squid game
[01:10:51] coverage going
[01:10:53] strong and then
[01:10:54] the cobra kai
[01:10:55] last group
[01:10:57] should be out
[01:10:58] uh somewhat
[01:10:59] soon i mean
[01:11:00] hopefully the
[01:11:01] beginning part
[01:11:01] of this year
[01:11:02] so stay tuned
[01:11:03] for that as
[01:11:03] well uh
[01:11:05] walking dead
[01:11:06] rewatch stuff
[01:11:07] going still
[01:11:08] for now until
[01:11:09] think last of us
[01:11:11] season two is
[01:11:11] finally confirmed
[01:11:12] for april
[01:11:13] so we've got
[01:11:14] that to look
[01:11:15] forward to and
[01:11:15] then i know
[01:11:16] jason and lucy
[01:11:17] will be diving
[01:11:17] into that for
[01:11:18] sure yes
[01:11:19] and paik and
[01:11:21] i finished
[01:11:21] season eight
[01:11:22] of run for
[01:11:23] your lives
[01:11:24] we wrapped
[01:11:25] that up
[01:11:25] last week
[01:11:26] with our
[01:11:27] 200th episode
[01:11:28] and our
[01:11:29] season eight
[01:11:30] ruffle awards
[01:11:31] so that was a
[01:11:32] ton of fun
[01:11:33] we'll be taking
[01:11:33] a little break
[01:11:34] over there
[01:11:35] and uh
[01:11:36] coming back
[01:11:36] on valentine's
[01:11:37] day
[01:11:38] while we wrap
[01:11:39] things up
[01:11:40] here first
[01:11:41] um it's
[01:11:43] been fun
[01:11:44] we've been
[01:11:44] recording multiple
[01:11:45] episodes for a
[01:11:46] few weeks so
[01:11:47] kind of chilling
[01:11:48] just a little bit
[01:11:49] before we start
[01:11:51] getting season
[01:11:51] nine
[01:11:52] yeah and speaking
[01:11:53] of valentine's
[01:11:54] day uh the
[01:11:55] yellow jackets
[01:11:56] buzz has been
[01:11:57] growing more and
[01:11:57] more and more
[01:11:58] and that season
[01:11:59] three drops on
[01:12:01] valentine's day
[01:12:02] and then you guys
[01:12:02] are going to jump
[01:12:03] right into
[01:12:03] covering that
[01:12:04] we are
[01:12:05] be here before
[01:12:06] you know it
[01:12:06] yeah me penny
[01:12:07] and wendy are
[01:12:08] excited to be
[01:12:09] covering that
[01:12:09] again this season
[01:12:11] there's just been
[01:12:12] so many cool
[01:12:13] things that have
[01:12:14] come out in the
[01:12:15] news and so
[01:12:16] many questions to
[01:12:17] be answered so
[01:12:18] it's gonna be
[01:12:19] amazing
[01:12:22] all right so
[01:12:22] like i said that
[01:12:23] is our show this
[01:12:24] week we will
[01:12:24] see you next
[01:12:26] week for the
[01:12:26] finale
[01:12:27] thanks for
[01:12:28] listening
[01:12:28] and uh
[01:12:29] always fight
[01:12:30] like fern
[01:12:31] be creative
[01:12:32] like kv
[01:12:32] be nice as
[01:12:33] neil
[01:12:34] keep wondering
[01:12:35] like whim
[01:12:35] and as always
[01:12:36] keep it wizard
