[00:00:00] Ah!
[00:00:02] Ah!
[00:00:03] Huh...
[00:00:04] Uncounts the God
[00:00:08] You shown me, I've been wanting to say something.
[00:00:14] It's a broken world, you shown.
[00:00:17] And you're the only thing to put you back together.
[00:00:22] To my last breath I am yours.
[00:00:30] I could never have imagined this.
[00:00:33] But it could only ever have been you.
[00:00:42] I am yours.
[00:01:00] I am yours.
[00:01:14] Welcome to The Cast of Us.
[00:01:20] A podcast dedicated to the show.
[00:01:24] The Walking Dead.
[00:01:27] Hey, you Zed Heads Welcome to our podcast. I'm Jason.
[00:01:31] And I'm Lucy.
[00:01:33] And this is The Cast of Us Episode 573.
[00:01:36] And on this episode we're covering The Walking Dead, The Ones Who Live Season 1 Episode 5 Become.
[00:01:42] Become and you have become a homeowner, is that correct?
[00:01:46] I did today. Yes.
[00:01:48] It has relations.
[00:01:50] It is lip and weird.
[00:01:51] And I'm now in possession of some weird stuff that the previous owners left behind.
[00:01:55] So if anyone wants to...
[00:01:57] Is it old creepy idols and stuff?
[00:02:00] I wish. No, it's like a bag of shoes.
[00:02:05] But some of the shoes aren't worn.
[00:02:07] So I'm now a lady in possession of some shoes.
[00:02:10] It's going to...
[00:02:11] Yeah, I know results.
[00:02:13] So that's cool.
[00:02:16] Yeah.
[00:02:17] That's cool.
[00:02:18] It's good.
[00:02:19] It's scary, but it's good.
[00:02:21] Yeah, I'm looking forward to painting and stuff like that should be fun.
[00:02:24] I don't want to spend too much time on this, but I moved around so much my whole life until we got our...
[00:02:31] My first home.
[00:02:32] It's been 14 years ago now and I've been here ever since I loved it.
[00:02:36] Oh, was that your first?
[00:02:37] The one that you're in now? Wow.
[00:02:40] Love it. It's cool.
[00:02:41] It's a really nice house to be fair.
[00:02:43] Oh, thanks. Yeah, it's cool.
[00:02:45] I'm just not that nice, but it's pretty cool.
[00:02:47] I like...
[00:02:48] Oh, yeah. I made it so that you look like you're not that nice.
[00:02:50] It's a big deal.
[00:02:51] It's a big deal.
[00:02:52] The Gated Community, I mean, it was a two mile walk to get to the front door, but it was fine.
[00:02:56] Right, right, right.
[00:02:57] We don't like to talk about that on the podcast.
[00:02:59] No, we try not to reveal too much about your secret location.
[00:03:02] About my manner, my estate.
[00:03:05] Yeah.
[00:03:06] Country Kyle.
[00:03:07] Let's get into this week's episode, the penultimate episode of the first season of the Walking Dead,
[00:03:12] the ones who live at Season 1, Episode 5, become.
[00:03:15] What do you think?
[00:03:16] I liked it.
[00:03:17] Obviously, it's hard coming off from an amazing episode like the week before.
[00:03:22] I'm really worried about how much they have to fit in one more episode.
[00:03:26] I'm just presuming and maybe foolishly that this means there will be more seasons.
[00:03:31] I hope so.
[00:03:32] Yeah.
[00:03:33] I hope so.
[00:03:34] This was not the direction I expected this episode to take.
[00:03:36] I'm not sorry that it took this direction and focused really strongly on J.D.S.
[00:03:40] Slash Ann, but yeah, I am like, there was a point in the episode where Michonne lists like
[00:03:45] what we're going to do is go back to Sierra Man.
[00:03:47] I'm like, yeah, so she's right at the summary for next week against the casual.
[00:03:52] I mean, it was one of those Walking Dead type episodes that focused on a certain character
[00:03:59] in a way that made me think, oh, she's probably going to die at the end of this.
[00:04:03] Yeah.
[00:04:04] And in a way where if you're just doing a mini series, I don't know that you take the time
[00:04:10] to do that, but I could be wrong.
[00:04:12] I could be wondering about that.
[00:04:13] Yeah.
[00:04:14] Just be hopeful thinking.
[00:04:15] But I would say it was a good episode.
[00:04:17] It had some welcome lightness, some nostalgia with Father Gabriel in there.
[00:04:23] It was cool.
[00:04:24] What a surprise.
[00:04:25] Yeah, I was stoked.
[00:04:27] Not no pun intended.
[00:04:28] No, I was stoked.
[00:04:31] And a fitting end to the character of J.D.S., I think it was probably my least favorite
[00:04:38] episode of the series so far, but that's still good.
[00:04:42] I've been loving it.
[00:04:43] So I liked it.
[00:04:44] I kind of am an assembler, but I think I found this would probably not be in my top three,
[00:04:50] but it wouldn't be my least favorite.
[00:04:52] So it would probably be like number four for me.
[00:04:54] It was still good.
[00:04:55] It's still nice.
[00:04:56] You didn't like the one where Rick was a dick.
[00:04:59] No, Rick's a dick.
[00:05:01] That's still struggling with that one.
[00:05:05] There were some sweet moments in it that I really enjoyed.
[00:05:08] There were some bits that I thought were kind of hokey, and then there were some bits that I thought were really cool.
[00:05:12] So yeah, it was a good mix.
[00:05:13] It felt like the right mix of emotions for a traditional walking dead episode.
[00:05:17] So that was kind of nice.
[00:05:19] I mean, yeah, this series is billed as a love story.
[00:05:24] And some reactions to this season have been like they said this is going to be a love story, but it's not because Rick and Michonne are at odds.
[00:05:31] They bait and switch just.
[00:05:32] To me, it's a walking dead spin on a love story.
[00:05:36] All of it, you know, like it's a struggle.
[00:05:39] It's always a struggle and this episode, I'm just saying this because you mentioned hokey.
[00:05:43] This episode felt more like a traditional love story, and it was really nice to see.
[00:05:47] But I might throw up if it was like this for the whole time.
[00:05:51] Yeah, I know.
[00:05:52] I might surprise people by saying this, but like the whole ring story I hate it.
[00:05:56] I was like, this is hokey as fuck.
[00:05:58] I don't really oh my god.
[00:05:59] I thought Jada one knee.
[00:06:00] I was like, but I don't see actually the ring.
[00:06:04] I was confused about the ring because at first I thought that was Rick and Michonne's ring that they had picked or something.
[00:06:11] And Gabriel just casually gave it to Jada.
[00:06:13] So like, wait, no, he found it.
[00:06:16] Like it was some random person's ring and he found it was going to give it to Rick.
[00:06:20] But then it was also like quite an ugly ring.
[00:06:23] Sorry.
[00:06:25] I remember like Glenn got Maggie like chopped that lady walker, Sven Gerofengor.
[00:06:30] And got her this like you know nice classic diamond and get her ring.
[00:06:33] Like this.
[00:06:34] Any chopped off a zombie swing?
[00:06:35] Uh-huh.
[00:06:36] Where is this one?
[00:06:37] Like you pick up a gas station.
[00:06:38] I was just kind of like, no offense to anyone listening who has that ring.
[00:06:42] Who has that exact ring or is planning to get it?
[00:06:45] But yeah, maybe don't buy a rep because.
[00:06:47] I was totally wrecked by the proposal.
[00:06:50] I was in tears.
[00:06:51] So I had the opposite reaction.
[00:06:52] It's you.
[00:06:53] It really got me.
[00:06:54] It's like just in it.
[00:06:55] I'm like, we got down on one knee and I was like, oh, and then she got down right at his
[00:07:01] level and I know it's cheesy, but I was I bought it.
[00:07:05] I you know, I read a review today that made me a bit more sympathetic towards it where they.
[00:07:10] Because when Rick was saying those words, I was like, I'm just not buying this.
[00:07:15] It feels really stilted, but then somebody was like, Andrew Lincoln played it like someone
[00:07:20] who'd been rehearsing in his head for so long.
[00:07:22] No, yeah.
[00:07:23] It wasn't quite coming out right and I was like, oh yeah.
[00:07:25] As many proposals are.
[00:07:26] Yeah.
[00:07:27] Yeah.
[00:07:28] Yeah.
[00:07:29] Having never done it myself.
[00:07:30] That might be a rationalization, but I can believe it.
[00:07:33] Yeah.
[00:07:34] It was cute.
[00:07:35] But not for me.
[00:07:36] It's not for me.
[00:07:37] Okay.
[00:07:38] So you mind if I go first because I kind of have two minutes.
[00:07:41] No, not at all.
[00:07:42] Okay.
[00:07:43] My first one is romance and I so that I enjoyed the romance in this episode, but I'm glad
[00:07:51] not every episode of this series was like this.
[00:07:54] Yeah.
[00:07:55] It's like you get old too fast.
[00:07:56] And Gimple said something about this being their like post-apocalyptic honeymoon even though
[00:08:01] the proposal came at the end kind of felt like that.
[00:08:04] I think so.
[00:08:06] In the souvenir store, Rick found the necklace that said Michelle and broke off everything
[00:08:11] but the M.
[00:08:12] I missed that the first time, but he was already planning romantic gestures.
[00:08:16] You know, he was.
[00:08:17] He had a lot of making up to do.
[00:08:19] He knows it.
[00:08:20] Yeah.
[00:08:21] And also he missed her and he loves her.
[00:08:23] You know, I was trying to remember where Michelle lost the original M necklace because she
[00:08:27] had one for a really long time.
[00:08:30] And I wondered if she maybe had to get rid of it when they went into the CRM or something.
[00:08:35] I don't know, but I remember it being a feature of her costume for a long time.
[00:08:38] So if any listener remembers, let us know on the feedback episode because I blanked
[00:08:42] on it entirely.
[00:08:44] You're more in tune with details of objects, I feel like.
[00:08:48] Yeah.
[00:08:49] But I just think it's myself.
[00:08:50] I just couldn't remember the last time we'd seen it but I remember it being a big
[00:08:53] part of her and the earlier seasons.
[00:08:56] So yeah.
[00:08:57] And as far as I went, I didn't have no idea it ever existed.
[00:09:00] Yeah.
[00:09:01] You're like, oh.
[00:09:04] He asks Michelle.
[00:09:05] This isn't totally romance but kind of he asked Michelle about giving RJ this
[00:09:08] souvenir license plate that says junior on it and she's like, no, that's not my junior.
[00:09:13] It was cute.
[00:09:14] And it made me you know, I didn't want to not identify but just think of him in this
[00:09:19] position of he's a father going to see his son who's, I don't know how old is RJ
[00:09:24] like eight or something.
[00:09:26] Yeah, it must be so weird.
[00:09:27] Yeah.
[00:09:28] And it's that situation we've seen play out in a lot of shows and maybe some of us in
[00:09:34] our real lives where you're stepping in as a parental figure for someone who's already
[00:09:37] old enough to think for themselves and it's not, it's going to be a little awkward
[00:09:43] in figuring out how to do it.
[00:09:45] And you know, that's the position he's in right now and who knows how RJ is going to
[00:09:49] respond.
[00:09:50] He must be anxious.
[00:09:51] Yeah.
[00:09:52] Like I was thinking about that.
[00:09:53] You'd be so nervous like at least with Judith, he's got a bit of a like to stand on because
[00:09:58] he's met her before.
[00:10:00] Oh, he had a bond with her.
[00:10:02] Yeah, but that was when she was a baby.
[00:10:04] What do you think?
[00:10:05] I'm just trying to think about RJ will be like dead.
[00:10:09] Uncle.
[00:10:10] My dad.
[00:10:11] You're not my dad.
[00:10:12] You're not my dad.
[00:10:13] You're probably talking like, probably talks like Darryl then I would just be like,
[00:10:16] no, what?
[00:10:17] Yeah, that's where he got that from.
[00:10:20] Rick's like, he's not very verbal.
[00:10:21] If Eric like, he's in love with Darryl, what'd you expect?
[00:10:24] Here's your hatchet RJ.
[00:10:26] Yeah, I know.
[00:10:27] Have fun.
[00:10:29] And then so he gives her the baking soda spear omit toothpaste and says as requested.
[00:10:35] And I didn't remember that, but I figured it must have come from a previous episode.
[00:10:40] And then I saw that they got together.
[00:10:43] Yeah, before I even had a chance to research, I saw Danielle Demant-Jost had pointed it out
[00:10:48] on Facebook.
[00:10:49] It's seen six episode 10 where Michonne, this is before they got together, he asked, Rick
[00:10:55] was going on a supply run.
[00:10:57] She asked him to pick up some spear omit baking soda toothpaste.
[00:11:00] And that was when Jesus first, they first met Jesus.
[00:11:03] They had a whole truck full of supplies in another light episode and had a creative toothpaste
[00:11:09] in there.
[00:11:10] But then Jesus like came in and stole the truck and they did their little Benny Hill sequence
[00:11:16] absolutely.
[00:11:17] And then the truck ended up rolling into a lake and she reggaed home and he handed her some
[00:11:22] mints and she goes, he goes, and I had the toothpaste, but it's at the bottom of a lake
[00:11:26] and she's like, oh, you had a day.
[00:11:27] A day.
[00:11:28] Then she has the mints in her hand and he like paps the mints and they hold hands and that's
[00:11:33] when they realize, oh, there's something here and they start kissing and making out.
[00:11:37] That is the bone chick a while, while the actual hygiene.
[00:11:42] That's right.
[00:11:44] And it sort of when Jadis finds them in bed together and says morning love birds reminded me
[00:11:51] of Jesus.
[00:11:52] Jesus.
[00:11:53] I think it was in that same episode.
[00:11:54] Yeah, at least they were wearing clothes this time.
[00:11:56] Last night we were naked.
[00:11:58] Right.
[00:11:59] Which makes no sense.
[00:12:01] So more romance in the cabin in the cabin, Rick pours two shots of whiskey, prominently
[00:12:06] Johnny Walker black label, clean product placement, right?
[00:12:09] I was quite surprised by that.
[00:12:11] I was like, oh, I'm going to walk her going on those school.
[00:12:15] And she goes toothpaste booze.
[00:12:17] What are you up to, grams?
[00:12:18] And I'm just working with what I got and gives her the necklace like pulls it out just
[00:12:21] a right moment.
[00:12:22] Super swav.
[00:12:23] Oh, so good.
[00:12:24] So good.
[00:12:25] So good.
[00:12:26] So good.
[00:12:27] So good.
[00:12:28] So good.
[00:12:29] Yeah.
[00:12:30] And then the proposal.
[00:12:31] So Janus asked Gabriel how's Rick's wife doing?
[00:12:33] And he goes, why do you call her wife?
[00:12:35] And she says isn't she?
[00:12:37] And he goes not officially.
[00:12:38] And I feel like that was for our sake because I think this is a retcon.
[00:12:44] I think the intention had been for them to be married.
[00:12:47] I feel like they've even referred to each other as husband and wife, although I'm not
[00:12:51] sure if I'm making that up in my head.
[00:12:52] But I think the show led us to think they were officially married.
[00:12:55] And this is a retcon so we get to see the proposal.
[00:12:58] Rick refers to her as his wife.
[00:13:01] And he says, my wife is my choice in the first episode.
[00:13:04] Oh, exactly.
[00:13:05] I'm not crazy.
[00:13:06] You married?
[00:13:07] Yeah.
[00:13:08] Yeah.
[00:13:09] So, and I feel like maybe they've already talked about that even in the main series but
[00:13:12] I could be wrong.
[00:13:14] But then yeah, he gets down as Ney.
[00:13:18] Michonne, wait, I've been wanting to say something.
[00:13:20] It's a broken world, Michonne.
[00:13:21] And you're the only thing that puts it back together till my last breath.
[00:13:24] I am yours.
[00:13:25] Get set on when you.
[00:13:26] And then the look on her face is really in the music is what got me.
[00:13:31] And she said I could never have imagined this but it could only have ever been you and
[00:13:35] she gets down on the same level.
[00:13:36] I'm yours.
[00:13:37] Kizzy, kizzy.
[00:13:38] A little smirchies.
[00:13:39] I like it.
[00:13:40] I like it.
[00:13:42] Okay, you're winning me over a little bit.
[00:13:45] I don't know.
[00:13:46] I love it.
[00:13:47] I kind of love it that you're like so corny.
[00:13:49] I'm just like this kind of corny.
[00:13:51] I don't know maybe I don't know what else is super not romantic.
[00:13:56] The ambiguity of I was in love with my son's best friend.
[00:13:59] I'm like, don't raise it like that.
[00:14:01] If someone hears it, they're going to think you mean like wrong or something.
[00:14:05] That's right.
[00:14:06] Right.
[00:14:07] I literally said that light appeared and I both went, oh no.
[00:14:10] I mean, true.
[00:14:13] She was Carls' best friend but you know, friends are scarce in the apocalypse.
[00:14:18] Think about how it's out.
[00:14:21] That's pretty funny.
[00:14:22] All right.
[00:14:23] What else?
[00:14:24] I have some resholening in the zone points.
[00:14:28] I love the honeymoon montage at the start with the good life.
[00:14:32] I was like, oh, that's not going to last.
[00:14:34] That is not the last at all.
[00:14:36] I think that was the point of that song.
[00:14:38] So great.
[00:14:39] Tastiful Nudes love that.
[00:14:41] Love a pun.
[00:14:43] There's a cat used to live next to us called Noodle and we used to call her Nudes.
[00:14:46] We're like, send Nudes, tasteful Nudes.
[00:14:48] She was great.
[00:14:49] And I love ramen.
[00:14:50] I mean, a real ramen phase at the moment.
[00:14:52] I've started buying these like Nissan packet ramen and making them for lunch.
[00:14:57] How much are they?
[00:14:58] They're like under a dollar.
[00:15:01] In college, I always got ramen.
[00:15:03] I mean, this is probably a sign of how old I am but for 10 cents a packet when I was a
[00:15:10] kid.
[00:15:11] And so I thought of them as just cheap, good food but cheap.
[00:15:15] But now in San Francisco you can go to these really fancy ramen places and get all dressed
[00:15:20] up with a bunch of different fish and different types of broth and stuff.
[00:15:24] It's so good.
[00:15:25] I'm not official.
[00:15:28] Not official.
[00:15:29] But attention.
[00:15:30] I really like books about food history and food.
[00:15:35] One of the books in reading at the moment is called National Dish by Arnie von Bromson
[00:15:39] and it has a whole chapter in it about ramen and how ramen became a staple food post
[00:15:46] World War II because of the influx of American wheat in a post war treaty.
[00:15:51] And how it started off was yeah, very budget food.
[00:15:53] And now is like this kind of gentrified hipster thing that you can get very bone broth based
[00:16:00] or that kind of stuff.
[00:16:01] But at the heart of it is still these cheap ass noodles.
[00:16:04] Yeah, but they can be of different quality but there I think they're all pretty cheap.
[00:16:08] I like man with crispy kale, some trader Joe's seat blend of camera was, oh it's everything
[00:16:16] but the bacon seasoning and a little egg and it's very good.
[00:16:20] I always do spicy as fuck, but I want to say one more thing I'm thinking of.
[00:16:25] I'm pretty sure and maybe fact check me on this but that spaghetti and Italian noodles
[00:16:34] and things the lineage comes from Asian food, you know, trade between yeah, it's so
[00:16:40] weird to think of spaghetti as originating from like Chinese noodles.
[00:16:43] It's funny, right?
[00:16:44] I also like it's funny because in Canada and North America sometimes you hear pasta called
[00:16:50] noodles and then I was like no noodles are like the Asian thing and pasta's pasta but
[00:16:54] I think they're kind of interchangeable.
[00:16:55] Like come from the same lineage, all right that's our show.
[00:16:58] That's our show.
[00:16:59] That's a tangent time with me talking about him actually like ramen and if you come
[00:17:03] visit me sometime everyone I will make you ramen.
[00:17:06] And I also fun fact I've been to Wyoming so I was excited to see Wyoming there.
[00:17:11] I only stopped at a gas station and I didn't see any of the kind of wonderful mountainous
[00:17:16] landscape but I liked when they stopped in front of the Wyoming mural and had the ramen
[00:17:21] on the fire.
[00:17:22] I thought that was really cool.
[00:17:23] I've never been but I want to go.
[00:17:24] I looked beautiful.
[00:17:25] Yeah, it made me think of the episode in season seven where they kind of hover many
[00:17:30] honeymoon.
[00:17:31] They go it's actually no system.
[00:17:34] It's the honeymoon episode but it's the one with the shit deer in it which kind of overshadow
[00:17:37] is the rest of the episode.
[00:17:39] Rick drink is soda and looking at Carl on his phone was very sweet, quite relaxed.
[00:17:44] He's practically used to be.
[00:17:48] He's quite pleased to be called the brave man.
[00:17:50] He's trying to figure out how his kids relate to him now and I loved that Michonne picked
[00:17:55] up the hatchet and said you know he'd like this more and Rick's like is that who he is
[00:17:59] because he doesn't know who his son is, he doesn't know what kind of a person he is
[00:18:03] and she says Judith has a sword there are us and it's very cute.
[00:18:10] I never thought I'd say that I had a nice fear of the walking dead memory when they
[00:18:14] were there looking at the pine trail cabin key and I thought about John Dory going to
[00:18:19] check out his videos from the general store near his cabin in season four before the show
[00:18:25] went completely shite and that was kind of a nice little memory there.
[00:18:32] They really seem to get a kick out of beating up red shirts.
[00:18:36] Check it out.
[00:18:37] It's interesting that Rick in this episode is pitched as being the more reasonable of
[00:18:46] the two of them or the more empathetic.
[00:18:50] He's surprised that she takes the noodles away he wants to kind of reason with Judas and
[00:18:55] it makes me think that he's still kind of reeling from his own experiences recently
[00:18:59] and is feeling a bit more compassionate.
[00:19:02] Yeah, because mid series Rick would have maybe just killed those people on site.
[00:19:07] He definitely would have taken the noodles and possibly their lives so yeah but he's
[00:19:14] finding himself again he says that felt good us against the world us saving it.
[00:19:18] I did laugh at Michelle and saying you don't get noodles for that about them trying to
[00:19:22] do this.
[00:19:23] Yes that's okay.
[00:19:24] It made sense too.
[00:19:27] It's like yeah fuck you you're lucky to be alive.
[00:19:31] I think Michonne does understand going back to the Sierra now.
[00:19:35] I kind of had a feeling that they were going to have to go back because of the dossier
[00:19:40] and they were either going to get captured and taken back or they were going to go back
[00:19:43] willingly.
[00:19:45] And I think I can just about buy Michonne wanting to go back now.
[00:19:48] I think the dossier is a big enough muguffin of threat that she would go back with him.
[00:19:55] I think I could buy that if you're choosing between everyone you know dying or not, you
[00:20:00] would choose not.
[00:20:01] Yeah and I think the one other bit that I really laughed at was when Jesus was dying and
[00:20:07] she came to Rick the ring and sort of says like you know go get her, hit her and I'm
[00:20:13] a shown space I was like can you imagine if he proposed right now in front of Jesus like
[00:20:18] bleeding out on the ground and they're like I love you and she's like I was like maybe
[00:20:23] not then I rewatched the scene because she says in time like do the thing you said you
[00:20:28] do a long time ago and I thought she meant ask her to marry you.
[00:20:32] I think she meant shoot me.
[00:20:33] Kill her yeah.
[00:20:34] Yeah so it was slightly less weird but I did laugh later when Michonne says he's like
[00:20:39] imagine this.
[00:20:40] He's like mean proposed to Michonne.
[00:20:41] That was so I read it.
[00:20:43] I was like say that.
[00:20:45] Her last words would be I just like to watch.
[00:20:48] Yeah I hope Michonne's like I could never imagine yeah no one should no one should terrible
[00:20:55] absolutely awful but it's nice to see them back together and yeah just having those
[00:21:00] happy moments.
[00:21:01] And I'm just I'm not gonna lie I'm really worried about them going into next week.
[00:21:07] There was a lot in this episode where I was like yeah I um I have some predictions about
[00:21:15] the finale but I want to keep it in a final section after our sign off just in case
[00:21:21] I'm right.
[00:21:22] I don't know if I'm gonna be right I'm not like super confident but if it happens the
[00:21:26] way I think it might then I would rather not spoil anybody who doesn't like to think
[00:21:31] about those possibilities and rather just experience them so anyway.
[00:21:35] Yeah I'm a little bit for but I'm a little bit worried too though.
[00:21:39] Yeah yep yep yep yep yep yep me too very much.
[00:21:42] So I was telling Penny that my life's really busy lately and well I mean just I have a busy
[00:21:47] life but we all have busy lives.
[00:21:49] I think with me having kids and doing podcasting I just feel like I don't have a lot of time
[00:21:57] and I feel run down a lot and I drink coffee every day probably too much and I need more
[00:22:04] sleep but I've been trying this magic mind they sent me some and it's this mental performance
[00:22:10] shot Lucy had some too and we took it for what seven days wait was it no it was more I forgot
[00:22:17] how many yeah 14 yeah yeah okay and I tried it for a few days and I wasn't really noticing
[00:22:25] anything but then I did start to kind of look forward to it like it gave me a calmness
[00:22:33] focus less jittery feeling more awake more wear and it was subtle but it was definitely
[00:22:39] there.
[00:22:40] That was really interesting wasn't it was like with because I'm not great with coffee
[00:22:43] I get really jazzed on coffee in fact I accidentally drank coffee last week that had three and
[00:22:49] a half shorts of spring so in it didn't realize I was essentially an insane person for the
[00:22:54] rest of the day so that's my level with coffee but I found it interesting the way it enhanced
[00:23:01] the ability to focus a little bit better that felt really tricky.
[00:23:04] I was like okay yeah and that's kind of the idea yeah that's what they want they want
[00:23:09] you to be able to think better faster and less stressed and it has vitamins 100% of
[00:23:15] vitamin C and D for per bottle.
[00:23:18] It has a match out with timed released caffeine so I guess that helps not have a crash
[00:23:25] you know just and match is incredible the research on matches is pretty compelling and I tried
[00:23:32] match on its own before like just mixing it in orange juice and it basically look like
[00:23:35] chemistry and swim floor.
[00:23:36] I always kind of want it to incorporate again so this was a good way to do that.
[00:23:41] Yeah and this I mean it's just a little shot and it tastes like a health drink it's it
[00:23:46] yeah Jason's in there with grassy taste than me but it is a small shot it's definitely
[00:23:53] worth it go for me like it almost enhanced it like I'm taking my medicine here but it's
[00:23:59] going to do something good.
[00:24:00] I want more hard course.
[00:24:01] I just want everything to taste of marshmallows but if you can drink it with coffee if you're
[00:24:07] super hardcore like Jason.
[00:24:09] Yeah that's right that's what I did but it still made me feel less jittery so just a few
[00:24:14] things it was created with scientific advisory board of doctors and medical researchers and
[00:24:18] development over 10 years with hundreds of iterations it has mushrooms organically grown
[00:24:22] in California and they use the fruiting body which is where the highest density of
[00:24:26] bioactive compounds is I just love things with mushrooms that ever since we covered
[00:24:30] last of us I know some people want to stay away but yeah they use cognizans citacoline
[00:24:38] which is the best proprietary form of citacoline and normally has a two year wait list for
[00:24:42] customers.
[00:24:44] Tone more details on the website like a lot more if you're curious but if you feel a bit
[00:24:48] run down like me unfocused at times and you want to feel common alert I recommend trying
[00:24:53] it out you can get it at magicmind.com slash cast of us and if you use the code cast of
[00:24:59] us 20 you get up to 56% off your first subscription or 20% off a one time purchase.
[00:25:05] That's cast of us 20 or 56% off if you're already a subscriber you can still use that code
[00:25:11] to save on your next subscription which I think is cool because a lot of times they only have
[00:25:14] these like discounts or first time buyers.
[00:25:16] Oh I like that yeah and there's 100% money back guarantee no question asks so there's
[00:25:22] no risk if you don't like it they'll refund it quickly within three to four hours but
[00:25:26] I think you'll dig it and well last time that's magicmind.com slash cast of us with
[00:25:31] code cast of us 20 we're up to 56% off a subscription.
[00:25:35] Alright I'm going to talk just kind of follow on from some of the things you said and
[00:25:39] talk about some funny light moments in the subset.
[00:25:42] Yeah amazing.
[00:25:43] I love when I have the same one Rick says I'm surprised he took back the noodles and she
[00:25:48] goes they pulled a gun on us you don't get noodles for that that's good.
[00:25:52] So when these three sketchy people pull their guns on Rick and Michonne and he says you
[00:26:00] know we can just roll this back to you saying just saying thanks if you want and the guys
[00:26:04] like hell no and then Rick and Michonne quickly overpower them and then the guy's like I
[00:26:09] like to do the rollback now.
[00:26:10] Yes and it's nope that's not happening that's not happening buddy.
[00:26:15] And then Rick has his gun trained on them and I think he's telling them to promise not
[00:26:19] to do this to anyone else or something and the number two guys like it's very hard
[00:26:23] to think right now and Rick kind of moves in on him and goes well how about you just
[00:26:26] listen and he goes I'm being oh yeah because he talks about eating pad slayer yeah that makes
[00:26:32] sense.
[00:26:33] Yes later they're helping jade's lure Rick into this Yellowstone museum and they're stand
[00:26:40] off and jade's had promised them a space in the civic republic it sounded like and Rick
[00:26:47] says whatever she said it's not what you think it is and the guy who said he'd pee goes so
[00:26:51] long as I get a meal in a new pair of pants I'm good they kind of slip.
[00:26:54] I mean like fair play at least it was just pee but fair play.
[00:26:59] I like the call back as far as he admitted and then just in that scene before Michonne took
[00:27:09] back the ramen and then Rick through the bullets one way and the gun the other and then
[00:27:13] Michonne goes wait till we're gone and Rick goes keep your promise asshole just had to
[00:27:17] throw that in at the end.
[00:27:19] Yeah I love it.
[00:27:20] Sassy Rick.
[00:27:21] Well like as you mentioned that song it's Tony Bennett singing the good life oh the
[00:27:27] good life full of fun seems to be the ideal and the good life lets you hide all the sadness
[00:27:31] you feel and it's this peppy song that I can't sing because I don't even know the melody
[00:27:35] but it made me feel worried all time right because as we've said when something nice happens
[00:27:42] in the walking dead it's usually something bad is going to happen afterwards and they
[00:27:45] open during this song they open the hatchback of the car and all this food falls out and
[00:27:52] they found this car that's full of fuel and now it's got food and then they find there
[00:27:57] on this beautiful Wyoming nature drive they find this beautiful rustic three pines cabin
[00:28:02] to stay in every little thing that went right made it feel more ominous to me that one
[00:28:06] of them was going to be hurt or dead by the end of this episode.
[00:28:11] The rest of the lyrics even get ominous they say you won't really fall in love for
[00:28:15] you can't take the chance so please be honest with yourself don't try to fake romance
[00:28:19] it's the good life to be free and explore the unknown like the heartics when you learn
[00:28:24] you must face them alone.
[00:28:26] Please remember I still want you in case you wonder why well just wake up kiss the good
[00:28:30] life goodbye.
[00:28:31] I mean that still has me worried even though they were fine by the end of this episode.
[00:28:37] So as I said stay tuned to the end for my predictions but I feel like they were kind
[00:28:42] I don't know maybe I'm overthinking it but I think the writers know at this point that
[00:28:47] we're mostly true walking dead fans watching we've been through all the ups and downs.
[00:28:52] We know that when good things happen bad things follow and they're putting this song in there
[00:28:56] to make us feel afraid on purpose you know.
[00:28:59] I think that is very likely yeah which is kind of fun in a twisted way.
[00:29:05] I just love being tortured.
[00:29:08] Yeah that's why we're all massacres alright let's just love it.
[00:29:14] I'm just so stressed about next week anyway um it was so nice to see Gabriel and a complete
[00:29:21] surprise it is rare yeah walking dead show gets me 100% completely by surprise and that
[00:29:28] was that was a moment.
[00:29:30] Um it's great and I loved that they didn't a crappier walking dead season would have
[00:29:37] had that who's under the who did thing play out for the whole episode or maybe even two
[00:29:42] or three episodes.
[00:29:43] And I love that you just had him glance up and it was just a moment of like holy shit.
[00:29:47] Yeah Gabriel.
[00:29:49] I had like fast forwarded a little bit through the episode just to make sure that it was
[00:29:54] the right one and I saw him and I was like I kind of ruined it for myself but it happened
[00:29:58] so it was lovely to see him.
[00:30:03] So we see a lot of flashbacks and I know he was there really for Jadis to give her more depth
[00:30:09] and to understand a bit more about her but I like although it was a you know a big massive
[00:30:13] retcon I really enjoyed what that built for the two of them.
[00:30:18] It was believable to me that Gabriel could have done that and not told people and could
[00:30:24] have done like met with her.
[00:30:27] He talks about clergy confidentiality and that's something we've seen Gabriel kind of bring
[00:30:32] two people in the communities that they've been in so I really enjoyed that.
[00:30:36] And it almost a little bit feels kind of romantic too not fully but you know this sort
[00:30:42] of friend zoneish but maybe not a couple of it meets once a year, same spot.
[00:30:48] Absolutely.
[00:30:49] And there are a lot of people online who are like is it cheating?
[00:30:51] I think he cheated on her.
[00:30:52] I cheated on Rosita and I'm like no I think he and Rosita had split out by the time
[00:30:56] that they had a little smooch.
[00:30:57] Yeah, I was thinking about it because it's over three years and I think maybe during
[00:31:03] the first two he was with Rosita but not the third one when they kissed.
[00:31:08] So I'm fine with it.
[00:31:10] I'm fine with it.
[00:31:11] Like Adrian Gabriel can kiss him.
[00:31:15] The helicopters at the start though I wonder what we're seeing at that point because
[00:31:20] the first Gabriel scene before the cold open we see him look up at two helicopters and
[00:31:24] that's never explained so I wonder if that's a no.
[00:31:26] I wonder if we're seeing a bit of what's going to be happening next week.
[00:31:29] Oh, I feel like he's out of it.
[00:31:32] That's what I think.
[00:31:33] Yeah, because there is a helicopter at the end too when he...
[00:31:37] I wonder if he's carrying Rick's machete.
[00:31:39] I was just intrigued by that.
[00:31:42] So the first time we see them it's three years ago so I think the references within
[00:31:47] the scene dated season nine I'm pre-wispersed but post-bridge by a few years.
[00:31:53] Yeah, in the middle of the sixth year time show because he talks about the ham radio.
[00:31:59] I think it was the first time he'd seen Anne for a while but I could be wrong about that.
[00:32:05] She has her short hair so we know she's gone full CRM at this point.
[00:32:10] And I presume she initiated that because he wouldn't have no way to know how to get to
[00:32:16] her.
[00:32:17] People found him.
[00:32:18] Yeah.
[00:32:19] Yeah, she says to...
[00:32:22] So I think Gabriel had an inkling that she's dealing with other people because he tried
[00:32:26] to trade him at some point so I think he's got his guard up so he says is it okay even
[00:32:31] if you are alone and they seem to reach this kind of uneasy trust where she acts surprised
[00:32:36] that Rick died which is like last double agent acting there.
[00:32:40] Right and she never told him the whole time which isn't necessity for the plot but because
[00:32:45] he didn't know clearly but it also just kind of shows that she was keeping a lot of things
[00:32:50] close to the vest.
[00:32:51] Yeah and Gabriel has this line of a mistake wasn't trusting you it was losing my faith
[00:32:56] in you can you forgive me for that which I thought was a nice line although some of their conversations
[00:33:01] felt airing towards the gameplay fine I'll love it it was good in this context.
[00:33:07] There's a lot of that in this episode I thought.
[00:33:09] We'll tone it down a little bit.
[00:33:11] We then see two years ago where she asks her Rick's wife is doing which I think is maybe
[00:33:16] to indicate that Rick's been doing his whole my wife is my choice thing and maybe talking
[00:33:21] about her as his wife in the CRM.
[00:33:23] We learned about the ring story and Gabriel wanting to leave the ring someplace right
[00:33:27] we'd find it which he did.
[00:33:30] We see I like those interesting that the first time she meets Gabriel three years ago
[00:33:33] she's wearing kind of full black CRM but then the second meeting she's in slightly softer
[00:33:40] clothing and then by the third meeting she's like I said a full Vulcan tunic I don't
[00:33:44] know if that's an action you can wear but it's what it looks like.
[00:33:48] She talks about struggling with personal connection and responsibility eight two years ago
[00:33:51] so I wonder if this is pre world beyond events that we see.
[00:33:58] I think yeah the first two are pre world beyond and the third is after.
[00:34:04] Yeah.
[00:34:05] Because she talks about having killed her confidants and there's even a flashback so I'll
[00:34:13] go ahead and say it even though you haven't seen world beyond there's a flashback as she's
[00:34:16] dying of her killing hot who's a major character in world beyond.
[00:34:20] Is that actually yeah talk hot talk.
[00:34:23] Huck I will say actually really cool character.
[00:34:25] I think the world beyond some people didn't like her at all but I did.
[00:34:30] Nash was great.
[00:34:31] I've got no time for that.
[00:34:33] I'm like now she was good.
[00:34:34] She had a distinctive accent that people didn't take to.
[00:34:37] Yeah we know that this must be post whisperers pre commonwealth because Gabriel asks about
[00:34:42] food because the children are starving.
[00:34:46] Yeah it wasn't clear if it was I think Alfa's already dead and he could have killed Alfa
[00:34:52] but beta led the whispers for a while there and I didn't know if that was after beta
[00:34:58] had led this whole hoard into Alexandria and then got killed or maybe before that I don't
[00:35:06] know for sure.
[00:35:07] It was definitely whisper related so the timelines they starved them out pretty tight at this
[00:35:13] point which I liked.
[00:35:15] She says I'm not even here please know that my remorse is real and he says as you do cruel
[00:35:20] and difficult things next year same time same place if I'm alive so it's really interesting
[00:35:27] these interactions between the two of them and then a year ago she says every year I come
[00:35:32] back I've done worse things where she talks about Huck in quoted terms.
[00:35:37] He says I look forward to these days to have this to have you to myself which I thought was
[00:35:41] very romantic.
[00:35:45] This is the point where I realized that one of the things it's interesting about having
[00:35:48] Jada's talk to Gabriel is that my understanding of Jada's character now is that she's essentially
[00:35:54] become a religious cell and the CRM is her religion like that's where she's found her
[00:36:00] identity and her meaning is within that and that made me I know it just made me understand
[00:36:06] her character a little bit more.
[00:36:10] So seeing the two of them talk about those things and she says do you think the purpose
[00:36:14] of what we do is to make people suffer?
[00:36:16] A zombie appears and she gets upset and tries to kill Gabriel and says I'm sorry and then
[00:36:21] it cuts and we don't know whether she kills him or not.
[00:36:24] I mean we do know because we saw the walking dead finale but yeah.
[00:36:28] Well I didn't think it was super clear if this could have been after yeah so I was like
[00:36:33] oh Matt I should have killed Gabriel off like I guess that's a good point then in
[00:36:39] the last the most recent one now Gabriel appears for their meeting and she does not
[00:36:44] and we see a tiny little rock on the beach with an A on it helicopter arrives and we
[00:36:49] wonder is that the one that Gabriel here is at the start of the episode so I was unclear
[00:36:55] on how that went.
[00:36:56] I think that A by the way was for Ann I think you wrote it on there and is sort of a
[00:37:02] remembered or whatever maybe I don't know if he assumed she was dead but he was thinking
[00:37:06] about it.
[00:37:07] I just really like seeing Seth Gilliam again yeah I enjoyed the flashbacks I'd love
[00:37:11] it and I thought he was a nice character to bring back into the fold.
[00:37:16] Absolutely I agree I thought it was great to see Gabriel and Seth Gilliam and as we've
[00:37:22] been doing the rewatch of the walking dead I've been talking about some of my experience
[00:37:27] with the actors since I did all those Q&A panels during Walker Stalker conventions.
[00:37:34] And so this one got me thinking about Seth Gilliam who my most distinct memory is we used
[00:37:42] to do these like picture and airy games where we have a few of the actors come on and
[00:37:47] play picture and we call people up from the audience and have one on each team you know
[00:37:52] and it was really fun but when I introduced him I said Seth Gilliam as father Abraham.
[00:37:58] No.
[00:37:59] And then Cindy was up there and she goes what did you say?
[00:38:03] And I'm like oh don't so I was so embarrassed by that and he's the type of guy to give
[00:38:09] you a little shit you know for it not in a good day to away but I was like oh so sorry
[00:38:14] so I felt really embarrassed and I gave him a gift later to help make up for it and he
[00:38:19] gave me a hug.
[00:38:20] He's like do you need to walk around like yeah.
[00:38:24] I always got Abraham I think because Abraham is such a biblical name and they were all
[00:38:28] the same type of names.
[00:38:29] Yeah father Abraham.
[00:38:30] That's the same name.
[00:38:31] It makes a lot of sense so it's keeping worse you could be like it's Negan or something
[00:38:36] like no but no I don't have it.
[00:38:38] And I don't blame him I'm supposed to be the host but I did several panels with him over
[00:38:42] the years.
[00:38:43] Always had a dry sense of humor.
[00:38:45] I think the last panel I ever did of hundreds literally was with him and Tom Payne and
[00:38:51] it was very very cool great panel and he came up and complimented me afterwards when
[00:38:57] she'd never done before so I thought that was really nice.
[00:39:03] So yeah great to see him.
[00:39:05] I see he has at least one or two interviews out so when we do the list of feedback episode
[00:39:10] we'll read from those and also Paulie and a McIntosh but I wanted to talk a little bit
[00:39:15] about their history.
[00:39:17] Jadus and Gabriel just remind everyone so Jadus who is going by Anne which I think is probably
[00:39:24] her real name.
[00:39:25] Jadus is a name she gave herself and I think it's taken from Jadus the white witch in Chronicles
[00:39:30] of Narnia.
[00:39:31] Yeah.
[00:39:33] But anyway she was helping with the reconstruction of that bridge that Rick ended up blowing himself
[00:39:39] up on the bridge on the path from Alexandria to Hilltop and Gabriel had started to seemingly
[00:39:48] have feelings for each other but apparently she was secretly the whole time planning
[00:39:53] to hand him over to the CRM in exchange for letting her be a part of it.
[00:39:58] And she said he was an A.
[00:40:01] I think she said he was like, yeah.
[00:40:03] Yeah she did.
[00:40:04] And that's that was what they said if we're going to take you we need an A and I think
[00:40:11] part of her wanting to do that was she was being falsely accused of things by some of the
[00:40:16] Alexandrians.
[00:40:17] I didn't go back and look at because they had details but there was a lot of animosity towards
[00:40:23] her there.
[00:40:24] Yeah she wasn't Rick was pushing pooling for her to be there and it wasn't going so well.
[00:40:30] And so but then she the helicopter that took Rick was actually coming for J.
[00:40:36] Dess and Gabriel but she ended up letting him go and then it was just lucky that she
[00:40:42] found Rick injured in a need of help and told them but then she told him that he was
[00:40:48] be in order to save him from being killed because that's what happens to A's.
[00:40:53] And so anyway that's their history.
[00:40:57] But I also want to talk about her inner struggle because you know at one point she says
[00:41:04] to Rick, I live for the cause and I will die for the cause.
[00:41:08] I'm not a traitor not like you and I'm like you are a traitor.
[00:41:11] That's like one of your defining characteristics because she turned on Rick and allied her
[00:41:17] group with the saviors.
[00:41:19] That was like a key moment back when it was J.
[00:41:21] Dess and the trash people.
[00:41:23] Yeah they turned to Negan.
[00:41:25] Yeah and then later he let her live in Alexandria as we just said and she planned to kidnap
[00:41:30] Gabriel as a ticket to the CRM.
[00:41:32] And now unless I read this wrong it seemed like she faked a deal with Rick and Michonne
[00:41:38] like we'll let him, we'll let Michonne go and Rick and come back to the CRM and let's all
[00:41:42] lay down our weapons and then she pulls a gun on them so that felt like another double
[00:41:45] cross right?
[00:41:46] I think I think so.
[00:41:48] I think either that or she just wanted to make sure that he was going to do what she
[00:41:53] said.
[00:41:54] That's so clear.
[00:41:55] But either way she's she's double crossed at least a few times and I think the double
[00:41:58] cross is very central to her character because shifting alliances among groups and also within
[00:42:06] herself.
[00:42:07] So she caters to different sides of herself, you know there's a struggle going on there
[00:42:12] in her and then it manifests in the outer as she said in this episode I chosen the side
[00:42:17] right I thought I had back and forth J.
[00:42:19] Dess and Alexandria and CRM back and forth.
[00:42:22] That's all about the push and pull between the side that stands with the mission of the
[00:42:26] CRM despite the cruel cost and the side that sympathizes with the people who would suffer
[00:42:33] the cost.
[00:42:35] And I think her meeting with Gabriel is because of that side like the inside.
[00:42:42] It makes more sense after seeing this episode why she would why she went by J to stokes
[00:42:47] in world beyond because we always thought really but makes more sense now.
[00:42:51] I think she loves him.
[00:42:52] Yeah and she's he's trying to convince her to give over to that side, you know he said
[00:43:00] I do know something about that part of yourself that you're scared of losing and she says
[00:43:05] what if it's already gone every year I come back here I've done worse things.
[00:43:10] I know why they're done I believe in what we're trying to do but there but there's the
[00:43:14] plan and the why and then there's the blood when they go back and forth about whether there's
[00:43:19] any and left and that's when she kisses him.
[00:43:24] Then he sort of disses the CRM he's just painful of it and she's like you think I would
[00:43:29] do this to make people suffer and that's when she's like okay you're she calls them a
[00:43:36] loose end and she sees them as a vulnerability because the other side of her and she's about
[00:43:41] to kill him right and the other side of her is just like you said a religious zealots
[00:43:46] but she believes that the CRM is what is going to save humanity and I mean I've repeated
[00:43:55] this so often I probably don't need to go into it too much but that they in their ideal
[00:43:59] ism they feel like they need to sacrifice sometimes innocent lives in order to save all of
[00:44:06] humanity bring back civilization and that's in their origin story what we've learned
[00:44:11] from this series Okofur killed Marines that were about to blow up Philadelphia and all
[00:44:18] citizens and his wife was one of those Marines so he sacrificed like 4,000 soldiers in order
[00:44:23] to save like 90,000 people and that's like how the CRM was born so that's why it's so
[00:44:28] embedded in their culture you know and so she really believes like people like Michonne
[00:44:34] and Rick who are focused on their own lives are being selfish like you if you don't like
[00:44:41] she believes that the CRM is the only thing that can save humanity and if you don't go
[00:44:47] along with it because of your own selfish reasons then you're a threat to like to all
[00:44:54] of humanity just for your own lives yeah but then she doesn't kill Gabriel and I think that's
[00:45:01] that struggle like yeah I feel like you need to make these cruel sacrifices and if I let
[00:45:07] myself be vulnerable and have this loose end then that goes against the mission but also
[00:45:11] I care about you and I can't kill you and that's also why she didn't tell them about
[00:45:17] the Alex Andrians and she lied and said Rick was a bee because she's always had that
[00:45:21] struggle inside about whether to fully give over to that zealotry that cruel zealotry
[00:45:26] and to have compassion and empathy for the people close to you so then she dies and well actually
[00:45:34] she got bitten the sneaky Zed jumps out and bites her on the neck because in this show
[00:45:40] yeah yeah they need Zeds to be like quiet and quick they are and when she got bit on the neck
[00:45:47] I could almost picture Alma Contreras going yes
[00:45:54] and then it was a good death that flashback on a few key moments from her story
[00:45:59] I liked that a lot actually yeah leading her zombified followers into this trash
[00:46:05] masher or whatever it was I forget what that was killing Hock oh sorry the masher really made me laugh
[00:46:11] in that because I was like oh this flashback so touched and then we're like yeah
[00:46:16] but it's all her friends
[00:46:19] but it's one of those things one of those things that is so like
[00:46:24] awful that it's funny I'm sorry I'm sorry to anyone who's listening you had to put all their
[00:46:28] friends and family through a mincer in a jump yard because of megan I'm so sorry that I'm laughing
[00:46:34] at your plate but also it just is funny yeah but it's in there because she lost her people and
[00:46:43] that's what she says like I um I was tired of losing people and I was proud of finding something
[00:46:51] that could last and I didn't want to lose it and I had been thinking why doesn't Jadas just let
[00:46:56] let Rick and Michonne go and hide away who cares but she says I knew if I didn't kill you all
[00:47:02] somehow some way you'd come for the CRM and that's what she's holding on to and so we find out
[00:47:08] that Dossie A is real and she made it to protect herself because I thought maybe she'd lied about
[00:47:13] that so she's holding on to the CRM also because of all the other things that she's lost you know
[00:47:21] and this seems so permanent they have a 500 year mission so I don't know I find all of that pretty
[00:47:26] compelling you made her a deep character and I loved one of her last lines where she said I wish
[00:47:31] I died an artist it was never about survival in that life it was just about truth that was really
[00:47:37] nice I liked that line a lot I was like you know what we should all die artists because she do
[00:47:42] things you should do things that give your life meaning and if that is being an artist then you
[00:47:48] should absolutely do that um and I just I felt bad for her in that moment I was like yeah
[00:47:53] yeah but you know what life makes it hard to be an artist so like I also don't judge her too much
[00:47:58] for that because it is really difficult your friends might get mashed up in a grinder
[00:48:05] yep they could just fall in you get my haircuts awful I mean it happens to me at least once a year
[00:48:13] more friends I mean I'm doing what I love and it's not exactly art but I feel like similar to that
[00:48:20] sometimes it's a real struggle to keep it going you know it's really hard like the world does not
[00:48:26] necessarily reward you doing things that are wonderful um and that can be hard to do because the
[00:48:33] things that give you life and sustenance and make you feel like you're doing something good yeah
[00:48:40] they're not often the ones that are most rewarded so at least have it as a hobby if you can't
[00:48:45] think of living at it keep those things alive don't let the world beat the joy out of you that's why
[00:48:51] that's my philosophy for you yeah all right what else I had quite a lot about and slash jesus as well um
[00:49:01] just gonna go through my notes I've got her death first of all um I like the way that it
[00:49:06] flashed back to moments with Gabriel of him saying you're lying to yourself you don't keep coming
[00:49:11] back here you never left show me who you are and how he kind of pulled that out of her um we see
[00:49:17] her let Gabriel go and he says you just found it i'll see you next year and she as predicted tells
[00:49:23] them where the dossier is suggests that they destroy it and go home I thought it was interesting
[00:49:28] that michelle wouldn't give her the comfort of promising that they leave the CRM alone and she
[00:49:32] lays out a really good idea of what they're gonna do she fucking hates her no and she wants to
[00:49:41] she's like what I saw of the city I'm like you talk to one guy and bought one phone but anyway
[00:49:46] she's like what I saw of that city and I was like okay it's kind of like well I went on a
[00:49:50] holiday to germany when I know what all German people are like she's saying that I guess it was
[00:49:57] clear that people in the city don't really know what the CRM is up to right it had to be all kind
[00:50:00] of chill vibe to be honest but yeah but actually what you're saying is sort of a good point like
[00:50:07] what if someone came here to america and was like you don't know what your military is doing
[00:50:11] outside this country so we're gonna take them down how would most Americans feel about that even
[00:50:15] though there's probably some good logic yeah exactly it's a bit like okay and then I just
[00:50:23] like the way she delivered the line to rick we're gonna do that um the fact that she's keeping
[00:50:28] rick and michelle alive I think there is part of and slash jadeus that does want them to do a reckoning
[00:50:34] or to get back home like I think she has conflicted about that um and I thought at the end I thought
[00:50:39] her death scene was just really it was you know it was in some ways quite drawn out but I liked
[00:50:45] the end of her story her piece um rick's not dreaming go ahead and shoot her um yeah and I think
[00:50:54] the showdowns that they had were very action packed in this episode which I liked I like that she
[00:51:00] did the whole is supervillain thing of how she found them you know a lot of supervillain monologue
[00:51:05] and rather than actually killing them um but I kind of like that it always makes me laugh um I like
[00:51:10] that michelle and said you know she did this is what she does she destroys shout out to rick and
[00:51:15] michelle and for taking time to get dressed before getting in the car but that was very classy that
[00:51:19] they didn't jump into the car in their pajamas oh now I wish they would have can you imagine
[00:51:26] I was like but they've got everything on like they've used a match to do their belts and stuff
[00:51:30] I was really distracted by that yes he's learned how to get dressed fast yeah um jadeus with
[00:51:36] the red shirts was quite good there's a really creepy moment where she looks at the girl and says
[00:51:40] you're tall and Peter and I were like oh my god she's gonna kill that girl and like steal her
[00:51:45] clothes or put her in a CRM outfits amazing she's dead and instead it was just like no she's
[00:51:50] just gonna dress up as her a little bit but that's fine um the way that she worked with them was very
[00:51:57] interest um sorry um she's taunting raps taunting yeah i know like ball uh she taunts rick
[00:52:06] by saying I live for the cause and i will die for the cause i'm not a traitor like you and i really
[00:52:11] i feel like i just understood her so much more when it finally clicked for me that like she's
[00:52:15] found religion she's found what she wants to live for and believe in um and it gave me a bit more
[00:52:21] empathy for her and her frustration with rick at not seeing that and respecting it
[00:52:27] it's very apt because it's not just like i found a spirituality that i believe in but it's the kind of
[00:52:33] thing that often goes along with religion where you're like everyone who's a follower of this is saved
[00:52:39] and everyone who isn't is damned yeah and you have a choice and you've made the wrong choice
[00:52:45] and that's the most beautiful dynamics yeah um and the whole like showdown with the room with
[00:52:51] the curtains and the sheets was just very uh high high drama high walking dead come closer rick
[00:52:58] show yourself um at that moment where she's goding michelle and about you know are you gonna let
[00:53:05] these walkers kill me because if the walker kills me then your children will die and michelle's
[00:53:09] struggling with not wanting her children to die and really just hating jesus i don't know
[00:53:14] which one should i pick i know rick's like maybe maim first yeah that's hilarious um and i did
[00:53:21] love when rick said you've looked better when she's standing there looking all crappy because i do
[00:53:25] think there is a case for like she may have died just from the blow that she got with the hatchet
[00:53:32] to be honest it was not looking good for her um one of the things i loved about her death scene
[00:53:39] when she talked about being an artist as well was that it focused in on the picture she did of
[00:53:44] Glenn and i thought it was nice to see glens face and be reminded of that kind of a kindness
[00:53:51] that she did vermagie at that time and the beauty of art and the beauty of art being able to make you
[00:53:59] remember and appreciate and love and i just thought it was a really interesting but
[00:54:03] powerful choice did she paint a few of them and they were up in magie's office at hilltop
[00:54:10] yeah it was most of magie's family um her shall and best
[00:54:15] Glenn was there i can't there were some others who i don't think we'd ever met like Jim well
[00:54:20] we met jimmy briefly but yeah there were people on that and i think they must have got lost when
[00:54:25] hilltop was destroyed which is sad um but that one of glen it's such a good painting as well
[00:54:30] it really captures him um and i loved that they didn't shy away from that and really focused in on it
[00:54:38] yeah yeah i like that a lot the whole episode yeah it really deepened her character
[00:54:46] sometimes that happens on the walking dead where they make you appreciate a character even more
[00:54:52] and then they kill him off yeah i know i know what's a bit like that oh absolutely um i she died
[00:55:00] as she lived confusingly um but no it wasn't it wasn't confusing it was so nice ending and i liked
[00:55:06] that they made sense of her backstory like she owned it like that's one of the things of what was
[00:55:11] liked about it and it's funny i watched the after the episode thing and uh holy anima can tell she
[00:55:16] said that she would miss jadeus being grounded in my initial reaction she was like jadeus isn't grounded
[00:55:21] and then i was like well actually the way she plays her she kind of is she's always very confident
[00:55:26] with who she is at that time and i like that she owned all the different identities that she'd
[00:55:31] had and i was just like yeah actually do you know what fuck it that is right and good on her for that
[00:55:36] yeah she said you should if you didn't listen to that post show thing that they do
[00:55:41] polyamacanthus was really good in it and she said she takes something from each of the characters
[00:55:47] that she plays or she tries to and with jadeus she said i like that she had a groundedness
[00:55:53] and an unabashed sense of herself which is sort of ironic because she had so many selves but
[00:55:59] i think that's what polyamacanthus said but each self she's just seemed very grounded in
[00:56:05] and it had an unabashed sense of like she said and she said yeah i like that she's grounded because
[00:56:10] i'm uh what does she say a hyperactive puppy yeah and you could see that as well um it's i
[00:56:18] i'm kind of sad she won't be around to love to hate her anymore
[00:56:22] yeah but i think it was a good ending though for her yeah definitely definitely and she did the
[00:56:28] right thing in the end it's i applaud the show for not giving everyone plot armor
[00:56:35] yeah absolutely absolutely all right i am going to get into
[00:56:41] michonne changing her mind because last week seemed like michonne pretty much just wanted to get
[00:56:49] rick out and go home and then they could deal with whatever happens
[00:56:55] because they can do anything together i don't know if she was thinking of any specific
[00:57:01] things that they would do but she just had a belief in their ability as a couple to handle whatever
[00:57:06] and in this episode jayda shows up and michonne is kind of the same i just want to kill her
[00:57:12] and we'll deal with whatever happens and she's not really thinking about the consequences of that
[00:57:18] and i did agree in this episode with some listeners who've said she's being reckless
[00:57:23] and so did rick because she's one point michonne tries to shoot her and rick bats her arm down
[00:57:29] and goes no and mostly that's because he knows that she has this dossier and if the crm finds it
[00:57:35] they'll probably come for alexandrian everyone they know will be in danger
[00:57:39] yeah but also it's because he sees this thing i talked about with her before that she has the
[00:57:46] two sides and she's conflicted and he thinks maybe he can reach her and make a deal
[00:57:53] during the car chase when they should have been in their pajamas but weren't
[00:57:57] into killer rick says what do we do after she's dead and michonne says whatever we have to do like
[00:58:03] i don't know i don't care let's just go yeah i don't fucking care let me kill her
[00:58:07] and i don't think she was thinking we'll go back to the crm and try to get the asholam briefing
[00:58:12] i don't think she's thinking about that yet but um he's saying he wants to find her and try
[00:58:16] to negotiate with her and that maybe he is still in there somewhere and we need to keep
[00:58:20] alexandrian safe and michonne says we'll keep it safe but she's gonna die
[00:58:26] i'll meet you halfway but because from her perspective jesus took rick away from her and
[00:58:33] you know that's it and she's carrying the ball from that part of this group that from also from her
[00:58:39] so perspective chlorine gasped her friends and killed them all yeah so that's what michonne's
[00:58:45] working with dealing with i was like that is a summer that is what she's working with yeah
[00:58:51] you're not yeah um and rick says to michonne i i couldn't see some things but you helped me maybe we
[00:58:59] can help her and then he goes but if we can't and michonne goes then i can kill her and he goes
[00:59:05] maybe be my guest maybe just me can i can i can i can i can i can i can i can i can i can i can i can i can
[00:59:09] sure oh also one little thing when rick and michonne are both yelling at her from having stolen their
[00:59:14] family and all those years uh with rick's kids being without the father and all that there is a
[00:59:20] part of me too that's like well she there's a pretty good chance maybe that if she hadn't done what
[00:59:26] she did he'd just be dead and she did the only thing she could and then it was out of her hands after
[00:59:31] that yeah i'm with you on that yeah so a little bit harder harder on her maybe so she has a shift
[00:59:38] michonne when jayda's and i don't totally understand why but jayda says all you had to do was leave
[00:59:45] went rick arranged for your escape but you didn't and now here we are and the fates of your friends
[00:59:49] your children sealed because you're just like her i don't know who she talking about you look out
[00:59:56] for you you're talking to rick about michonne about michonne you look out for you but this is about
[01:00:00] keeping your humanity or saving humanity one of the other and it's a choice i've chosen my community
[01:00:06] i've chosen my life so who's gonna die today the two of you or me and everyone back home that's
[01:00:11] the joy and michonne says she's right rick i didn't want to see it so she's had a shift i wanted
[01:00:15] her dead so i didn't have to see it but rick there has to be a sacrifice since i found you all
[01:00:21] all i've done has been for us but now i see this can't end with us going home and she makes an agreement
[01:00:30] for to do exactly what rick had been trying to do go home and rick will stay with the crm
[01:00:36] and jayda won't tell the crm about Alexandria i'm like yeah but that's new and no that's michonne saying
[01:00:43] what jayda's what needs to be said in the moment yeah because she's giving rick the eyes of like trust
[01:00:48] me but then we don't get to find that out for sure because jayda's pulls a gun on rick and then
[01:00:56] then that kills her and then jay just tells them where the dossier is in her broom at the cascadia
[01:01:01] base which is conveniently near this summit so we'll get to see that next week hopefully and then
[01:01:07] she says yeah like you said just just try to go home the crm will bring the world back tell me
[01:01:11] you won't come after them and michonne says no because we are coming for them we're gonna get the
[01:01:14] dossier and then the crm we're gonna stop them so now michonne has decided we're gonna go in and
[01:01:21] we're not just gonna go home and deal with whatever happens we're gonna take a more proactive
[01:01:26] approach and i think the reason for that is just realizing that she had just been focused on
[01:01:32] them being together and wasn't thinking of the danger to the group but i'm like rick said that
[01:01:38] repeatedly and it's just like any married couple where you can say things over and over again
[01:01:43] but a lot of times your partner won't go for it until someone else says it and i've experienced
[01:01:48] both sides of that with jenny you know where i'll say something and she doesn't or same thing
[01:01:53] with her she'll say something to me over and over and i kind of dismiss it and then someone
[01:01:56] else says it and then i think about it you know we had one today where i was like i literally
[01:02:01] fucking suggested last week and he was like what and i'm like i did i literally fucking said
[01:02:08] this exact thing and he's like oh i just thought it was a really good idea i'm like aha that's
[01:02:13] what i suggested it like exactly and it really seemed like that's what we showed you know what rick
[01:02:18] we should uh and rick's just like jesus that's funny but uh it's cool because it's uh i mean they
[01:02:27] can't go back to Alexandria because they can't this isn't the walking dead they can't get all those
[01:02:31] actors back it's about the CRM so it'll be fun to see what happens next week will it be fun
[01:02:39] no i mean i don't know if i had the episode right now i'd watch it i'll take that oh my god
[01:02:44] the legs greeners uh terrible terrible yeah yeah yeah all right you got anything else
[01:02:53] have i got anything else uh the interactions with the red shirts were fun i felt the stoned i was
[01:02:58] i wanted the stones beds to go more they were like we call them stoners or like the
[01:03:03] stoned i was like oh rick just solved that i guess um i felt sorry what was the solution
[01:03:10] it's just like you hit i break you stout oh hey i break you stout yeah i do i do find sometimes
[01:03:15] with like the red shirts that they bring in in these episodes i'm like how the fuck did these
[01:03:19] three stay alive for 50 i know it seemed like characters that they might meet you know three
[01:03:26] months in or something yeah not 14 years or whatever it is yeah um
[01:03:33] yeah the interactions the red shirts were quite interesting i like to michonne trying to like
[01:03:38] criticize thorene a little bit and rick being not defensive but being like well you know she's
[01:03:42] yeah standing up for that's the whole i mean same thing dynamic with jesus a little bit you know
[01:03:48] shown is just more black and white about things in this episode absolutely i'm kind of drifting
[01:03:53] into notes though do you have other points before i sort of go through yeah three sketchy people
[01:03:58] in the woods so uh these hard headed zeds the guy said they get crusty like that because of the
[01:04:04] steam vents calcified or something that sounds like an explanation i guess they were laying next to
[01:04:10] some steam and it calcified their heads guys are so or how do you say it do you think geezers are
[01:04:18] geisers guys are yeah um i was so fucked off that like they had all these things about like the calcified
[01:04:26] sets and then there was like a sign in the visitor center saying oh about geezers not like oh my god
[01:04:30] we're gonna see a really cool action piece with like a geezer it is up and it didn't happen i'm
[01:04:35] like release the geezer cap i want to see is that so that's how you say in Scotland or the UK geezers
[01:04:41] um geezers are here that's an old person an old geezer yeah geez it kind of so a geizer
[01:04:48] in Scotland is what you call trick or treaser so you go guys rather than trick or treing
[01:04:55] what if you went as a geezer you would be a geezer geizer you'd be a geezer geizer okay
[01:05:03] it's a real problem actually for all the kids who want to dress up as geezers i kind of use both
[01:05:07] i'm just never sure which one the correct one is um how would you make that costume you need to
[01:05:12] just like spur it up everyone to walk up maybe do one of those like volcano
[01:05:18] big yeah of course the baking soda on your head every now and again to look um i'm devastated
[01:05:23] that we did not get that action piece i really thought we were good too oh well but uh but uh one
[01:05:29] thing somebody i saw in the chat was criticizing like oh why do they put these alternate like not even
[01:05:34] variant um zedzen right at the end here you know this far end but over the course of the walking
[01:05:40] dead i'm pretty sure there's been a handful of times where the environment has altered the zamis in one
[01:05:44] way or another you know that's yeah that's happened a few times i think so um yeah i thought they
[01:05:50] I thought they looked great i they were kind of goofy but i liked it and yeah whatever
[01:05:55] you need to make them more beautiful i was just bummed that they didn't do more of it um i like
[01:06:00] one of the red shirts referred to it being an instructive experience that just really made me laugh
[01:06:05] that turn of phrase and the national park range your motto of protecting the people from the people
[01:06:10] i thought was was interesting i kind of was thinking about that i mean
[01:06:16] that's sort of in every zombie movie it's more about the threats of the people and then i
[01:06:21] thought about it more it's like pretty much every movie like every drama it's about people against
[01:06:26] people terrible people can be yeah i think maybe someone saw that sign and decided they should
[01:06:35] feature it in the episode because it seemed pretty cool just because it was cool
[01:06:43] how about you um what else about them uh i mean i was sort of dubious about how Rick and
[01:06:51] Michonne handled these people they seem very charitable and the i mean Rick and Michonne
[01:06:59] and when they decided after they'd pulled a gun on them to just let them go and even leave a gun
[01:07:04] for them i just thought about that seemed like a bad decision i was like that that was one point where
[01:07:09] i was like oh my god one of them is getting yeah and they did come back and it sort of bit him in the
[01:07:14] butt like maybe jay just would have just died if oh that could have been it trouble for them too but
[01:07:19] anyway um i thought about uncle ben you know spider man peter parter who lets the burglar go and then
[01:07:25] he ends up killing uncle ben i'm thinking about um carol and dale
[01:07:29] what happened with them dale gets killed by a walker that carol doesn't kill oh yeah
[01:07:36] in season two uh and he has a feeling of the guilty about it fucking car
[01:07:41] the game car um and then i had one more point on just where this leaves us
[01:07:46] because jay just says bale is gonna give you the ashelon briefing the moment you returned your
[01:07:51] eyes would have been open to the true size and scope of what the crm is gonna do to bring this
[01:07:56] world back and i i am fairly convinced there's going to be more seasons and so that makes me think
[01:08:03] they better not tease us like bale sits down with rick to get the ashelon briefing fade to black
[01:08:10] sees the cliffhanger i would just be like fuck off right right i'm pretty sure we'll learn it next week
[01:08:17] i hope and then that'll let us know the stakes for the rest of the series i hope i do hope so
[01:08:24] i do hope so we shall see yeah so i guess that was more of a note type no de type thing so why don't
[01:08:31] you go ahead and go into your notes um i think i've covered most of my i realized that
[01:08:38] michelle and shrews rick the hatchet and says that would be good for um rj and then she basically
[01:08:44] offs and both the hatchet so that's quite nice i like the ends when gay real is waiting for
[01:08:54] and that was sad right movie i was sad for him there and we see the overhead view of the rocks when
[01:09:02] one hasn't a on it and i think that's for and which stands for her vulnerable compassionate side
[01:09:08] that he was trying to nurture and bring out i think as well the scenery in this episode was beautiful
[01:09:13] it reminded me of all of the um the rock events and the pacific north west it was just
[01:09:19] beautiful really really yeah made me want to go check it out and i love that that's another great
[01:09:24] thing about the series is different environments it's like a breath of fresh air like seeing all that
[01:09:29] green and the mountains it's just beautiful but then some of the scenes are like i think they're
[01:09:35] just back in the george of woods yeah we're back in george yeah it's george again and then what
[01:09:43] else oh there was one point when jesus first found them in bed and they get up and rick's holding his
[01:09:50] one hand that he's missing you know his arm with his missing hand behind his back
[01:09:56] and i thought are they doing that to save money or something but then he came out and it was
[01:10:01] missing and they did the cg so he didn't have to have like an appendage to cover his real hand
[01:10:05] they just erased it and i thought that was cool that they do that at least sometimes and i figure
[01:10:10] i don't remember but they must have done that a lot with her shoulders leg right i think they
[01:10:13] just wrapped it up in a green yeah stalking and then digitally edited out or something it was nice to
[01:10:19] see him kind of without the prosthesis a bit and see them kind of living with that a little bit i
[01:10:23] liked it yeah it wouldn't make sense for him to wear it no no in their honeymoon bed no also like
[01:10:29] dangerous right you need another attachment for that yes yes maybe a different something less
[01:10:36] she right right
[01:10:43] all right that is our show episode five seventy three thanks for listening everybody stay tuned if you
[01:10:48] want to hear our predictions for the finale but otherwise that's it next episode we'll have
[01:10:53] listener feedback for this walking to ones who live season one episode five become
[01:10:58] if you want to write in or leave this a voicemess message about it uh you can find all our
[01:11:02] content information at podcast.com and while you're there check out our other podcast i the episode
[01:11:08] I did that i've mentioned a couple times now i think on about movie heathers with pennie and carra
[01:11:14] on buffy the still-slang podcast is now out and we had a long in-depth discussion about that movie
[01:11:20] the context in which it was made and a lot of trivia and if you like that movie i recommend checking
[01:11:27] that out they're really fun to podcast with oh we love carra's pennie i'll be good episode
[01:11:32] this episode is made possible by patreon supporters like Amanda Kaye who pledges their support at
[01:11:37] patreon.com slash Jason cabassi so thank you to Amanda uh one of the latest perks i've mentioned a
[01:11:44] few times is our new series tangent time and this time this most recent one we talked about aliens
[01:11:51] including of course doctor who oh yes we did
[01:11:58] and i you know i forgot to mention i wish i would have mentioned i'm going to mention it now just
[01:12:04] so i can mention it somewhere that one of the best panels the most fun panels i ever did was with
[01:12:10] matt smith and um karen gilland and rory i forget her you know uh Arthur Darvel
[01:12:17] Arthur Darvel yeah they were singing um bohemian rhapsody together in rounds and uh i had gone
[01:12:25] back and given them beer and they were like thank you and then anyway it was like electric
[01:12:31] the audience was on fire and it was just really fun and then and there was a big like crack in the
[01:12:37] universe backdrop behind us from the show it was really cool and then backstage i went up to matte
[01:12:43] and i was still just kind of adrenaline pumping and i was like that was so good that was like the best
[01:12:48] panel i've ever done and he just gave me this big bear hug he wrapped his arms around me and
[01:12:53] he seems like such a nice guy this yeah he's great it's cool okay
[01:13:00] all right that's our show thanks for listening don't get bit jack chandel
[01:13:05] do do do time for the echelon briefing finally finally after all these years
[01:13:12] we're gonna tell you the truth no this is uh not really anything spoilery but it's just
[01:13:18] our predictions about what's gonna happen in the finale next week so what do you think
[01:13:24] do you have any big i'm hitting my pants because i'm really worried someone's gonna die like i'm
[01:13:29] really recovering from one of the two main so yeah maybe both no not both so okay my logical brain
[01:13:38] my spot brain says to kill either of them my my jesus brain says i wish i died on an artist
[01:13:47] if one of them does a pencil drawing just before they die it'll be fine um my logical brain says
[01:13:53] AMC learned a lesson when they killed Glenn off they'd be mental to kill off Rick or Michele
[01:13:59] they would lose so many viewers yeah people would be angry people would genuinely devastated
[01:14:04] particularly with Rick although i think that's unfair i think it should be the same for both of them
[01:14:09] hey do you think the original idea was for jesus to have drawn that sketch of Carl on the phone and then
[01:14:14] they figured they couldn't make it work plot wise maybe i wonder maybe sorry but but it was only a
[01:14:24] remit to be one season i think Andy Lincoln and deny gary were both have a lot of integrity so
[01:14:30] i could see them saying like i don't want to do this i'd rather get written off and die like i can
[01:14:38] i can't see Rick dying i find that harder to believe but they really set it up a lot this
[01:14:45] episode with the light gifts for the kids and the proposal and i don't know i'm just i'm feeling
[01:14:52] uneasy and i don't like it what are your thoughts i'm the same i mean i'm thinking about a bunch of
[01:15:01] little tidbits that we've learned over the years i think originally there were supposed to be three
[01:15:08] rick rimes movies and as i've said my theory is that they're teeing up three seasons of the ones
[01:15:14] who live to tell those three stories because this does feel like it could have been told in a
[01:15:19] short and form as a movie where yeah it's the arc of misshone trying to go get rick out having
[01:15:26] to struggle with that a little bit and then jay just and all everything you know there's a two-hour
[01:15:30] version of that maybe a few details left out um so if that's true that there will be three seasons
[01:15:37] based on the three the stories of three movies that they're originally going to do then i think
[01:15:41] rick lives at least until the end of the series because they were the rick rimes movies
[01:15:46] you know and when they asked deni garyra why she did this series in one of the interviews she
[01:15:54] mentioned she was contractually bound to do the story in one form or another and to me that could
[01:16:00] be a hit that she wouldn't have necessarily done it otherwise like maybe when she i think she had
[01:16:04] to get out of her contract to leave the show and maybe a stipulation was that she would come back
[01:16:09] to finish the story she also seems like the kind of person that would want to move past the
[01:16:15] walking dad to grow as an artist being actor in movies right for different shows and movies
[01:16:24] so i i also think it's pretty conspicuous that the big bad major general bill has this sword
[01:16:32] so my prediction is that in the next episode the season finale misshone and bill will have
[01:16:37] sword fight and michelle will lose and be killed and that'll be motivation for rick to try to take
[01:16:43] down the crm and they'll probably eventually take it over i know that'd be really sad i'm not saying
[01:16:50] i want that to happen but um i think maybe that's why they didn't name the series the walking dad
[01:16:56] colon rick and michelle you know i mean they could just change it to rick the book with no
[01:17:02] macho next but then part of me is like some of the things they've said in interviews about
[01:17:10] bringing the story to a conclusion and you know giving the fans an ending like a satisfying ending
[01:17:17] i don't see that a satisfying ending being either of them dying
[01:17:22] yeah i mean this is all pure speculation based on things publicly
[01:17:27] known and and it's as much fear as a prediction you know i know honestly my anxiety levels are through
[01:17:33] the fucking roof right now i'm just like oh no i don't know i do think there's a fairly like
[01:17:38] counterpoint that after glen they don't want to piss off the fan base and killing off
[01:17:46] michelle would do that so maybe they won't because of that i think killing definitely if they kill
[01:17:52] rick they kill the franchise to an extent not because i think the franchise can't stand
[01:17:56] on to feet because it showed it could after rick left the show but i think the loss of goodwill
[01:18:02] amongst the fans having brought him back and then killing him off would be too much i don't think
[01:18:08] they could do it i just don't think they could yeah i mean they might but i just i expect i don't
[01:18:14] know we don't know right i mean we we think they won't want to do that but we think they might
[01:18:21] yeah so we'll wait and see it's if you speak he is that they've not mentioned a season two yet
[01:18:29] um yeah so i'm curious to know if you're if you're keep listening all the way to the end here
[01:18:35] what you guys think of what we just said if you have any predictions of your own
[01:18:39] yes we'll do an ashola and feedback right where we can be yeah that'd be cool yeah
[01:18:42] for the re-keek so yeah all right bye everybody bye one oh my god yeah i'm really fucking worried
[01:18:52] that i'm gonna die yeah
