[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_03] My mind would instantly go to MTV for a show like that. A hundred percent.

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_09] So I forget. There's just one comedian. Or Lifetime. Ooh, Lifetime would be good. There's just one comedian. I don't know. But he's been showing up in my algorithm and he just keeps watching these old MTV reality shows like Next or Date My Daughter or whatever it was called. And they were just so trashy but so hilarious. So hilarious.

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03] Do you know, there are two shows from MTV I really miss. And no, they're not Road Rules, The Challenge, or Jersey Shore. Go on. Because as somebody who has been to the Jersey Shore more times than I can count, that show was garbage.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_09] It was just highlighting the worst people at the Jersey Shore. That's all.

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_03] And none of them were from Jersey.

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_09] Well, there's that too. There's that too. But what were the two shows that you do miss?

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_03] The two shows. Okay. Actually, I'm going to say three because one of them is a little bit more obvious for anybody.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_09] All right. So what are the four shows that you miss?

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_03] One of them is a little more obvious for me because I actually know the guy that did it. So Viva La Bam is one I miss.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, okay. All right.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_03] But that's only because I've worked with Bam and Don before he passed and everything. So it's, you know.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_09] It's a Philly thing.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Yeah. But those two, the two shows that I miss are Fear.

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_09] Okay. And Pimp My Ride. Pimp My Ride was a great time. First off, it was just so ludicrous. And it's hilarious that ludicrous wasn't the host. It was exhibit. It was exhibit. Yeah. But the most completely illogical things thrown into cars that I wanted. I wanted all of them. I wanted the popcorn maker. I wanted the fish tank. I just, I wanted it all because I was 13 and I didn't know any better.

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_03] There's a part of me like, I know Fear is on YouTube. I can go back and rewatch it. I want to go on YouTube and see if old episodes of Pimp My Ride are available.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_09] I am sure you can find old episodes of Pimp My Ride. There is no doubt in my mind. It's been years. The MTV show I missed the most and I'm sure I can find it somewhere. Clone High.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_03] Never even saw Clone High.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_09] It was the original Bill Lawrence show. It's a Bill Lawrence show? It is a Bill Lawrence cartoon. Clone High from like the late 90s, early 2000s. Like some of the voice acting talent in it is also psychotically good.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_03] Okay. I mean, I missed like the times when like, I mean Beavis and Butthead were great too. When they were on MTV. Sure, Ren and Stimpy. I was just going to say Ren and Stimpy too. But Daria. Daria was another good one.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_09] Daria was a staple. Celebrity Deathmatch. Celebrity Deathmatch. Now, that is something that if you could ever find that to throw, I would pay good money to watch Celebrity Deathmatch again. The old Mills Lane.

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_03] You have given me a challenge, sir. I am writing this down and you might see that because Viva La Bam is on that platform.

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_09] There you go. Okay.

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_03] So I will have to see if I could add this one to it as well.

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_09] Let me tell you though, one awesome thing about having my kids having friends over. They're always so impressed when they see like, oh, Moana live action is available at your house. That's crazy. You kids enjoy. Toy Story 5, you want to watch it? Go ahead. No, you're fine. You're fine.

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_03] Just for the record, we are talking about a personal streaming server that I have that Alex is connected to and a number of other. There are a number of other Zed heads who have access to it as well.

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_09] And pay for the privilege. So it was all above board.

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_03] I do charge for it. But I mean, it's a one-stop shop for everything, man.

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_09] It really is pretty perfect. And like, again, I enjoy impressing people with what I have the ability to pull up. Like the air up there. I mean, come on. Kevin Bacon and then Jimmy Dolan Shagan Bake. Like, who else has access?

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_03] And in addition to, you know, regular streaming services, I have one price that's pretty affordable and I never raise it, unlike other streaming services. Unlike other streaming services, I feel like this is a bad commercial for my Plex service. For Benflix. Unlike other streaming services, when you can create your own playlists and you can shuffle through them instead of playing them straight, which is great for me when I watch old episodes of The Office. Because I can just hit shuffle.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_03] And I take requests.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_09] You do. My favorite thing about it is I have a list in my phone and it's called Benplex Requests, where I check every week. I'm like, all right, what's it going to be this month? What's the, oh, I'll request this. And then you're like, hey, dummy, it's already on there. I'm like, all right, cool. Let's see what else is on here. And I love that. It's such a fun little game that I get to help build the library.

I thought about putting Survivor on Plex, but it is way too much. Humongous. I mean, that's the entire server itself.

[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Oh, my God. Like and that's the funny thing, too. When people ask me for stuff to add to it. Like I everybody who subscribes gets one free movie request a month because that's easy for me to do. But when you request a television series, I charge a little bit for it because they take up a lot of space on the server. And I've had people ask me for like, hey, can you add NCIS? And I'm like, no, that's 20 plus seasons. I had somebody ask me for Law and Order. I'm like, are you out of your mind?

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_03] I was like, I'm like, are you out of your mind? I am not adding Law and Order to Snowboy. Unless you want to pay for another hard drive. Like, right. Then I'll do it. I did add Family Guy, though, and there is a lot of that. There is. And The Simpsons.

So this feedback could be for the finale. It could be for the season as a whole. Just letting you know it could be any of those things.

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_09] I shall do the honors. First comes from Pamela Strickler. First episode I found difficult to get into, but by midseason was loving it. And can't wait to see where we go from here. So very happy that Maggie and Negan were able to get past the past for the future. We're able to get past the past for the future. Teamwork makes the dream work. We'll tune in for any future walking dead. My kids got me hooked during COVID. I am now a bigger fan than they are. Loyal to the end. Amen, Pamela.

[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_09] I love hearing that. I got into it during COVID, which again, is always an interesting time to get into a show about zombies is during a global pandemic. But here we are.

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_03] I had people telling me I should watch The Handmaid's Tale during COVID. I'm like, no.

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, man. That was, oh. The Handmaid's Tale.

[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_03] The world is depressing. I. The world is depressing enough.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_09] It really is. Post-apocalyptic is tough to watch right now because I feel like we're in pre-apocalyptic times.

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_03] Well, I meant during COVID. Like the world was already depressing enough. That too. I'm not. Yeah. That too. Next piece of feedback comes from Teresa Harper. I loved this season. Compared to last season, this season is more like The Walking Dead we have come to love so dearly.

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_09] Yup.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_03] I loved the change the writers made to Dead City. My overall opinion on this season is bravo to Dead City. They managed to take a show that was teetering on failure to something the fans can stand behind and support. I look forward to season four. Now for Daryl Dixon, my absolute favorite spinoff of all time that Alex and I have never seen.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_09] All right. So here's actually, it's so funny. I was scrolling through Netflix. Netflix, the actual net. And trying to figure out what to watch because the kids were watching Ben Flicks. And I don't know how that works. Multiple people in the same house using it. I don't ask these questions. So anyways.

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_03] Usually up to like two or three TVs at a time you can watch.

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, sweet. Anyways. So now you know. Now I know. So I was on Netflix and like I saw Daryl Dixon. I'm like, all right, we still have one more episode. I don't want to watch a different Walking Dead property until I'm like done talking about this version. But I do think I'm going to watch it. I started The Beast in Me instead. Phenomenal. Matthew Rhys and Claire Danes. Oh my God. This show. I'm halfway through. It's amazing.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_03] You're on a big Matthew Rhys kick right now too, aren't you?

[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_09] Here's the thing. I'm that guy. I'm that guy that when I am introduced to an actor and I go in with like, all right, everyone's saying this guy's the shit. There's no way he's that good. And then he blows me away. I'm hooked for life. And he blew me away in Widow's Bay. And now I will check. I might watch The Americans just to see him and Kerry Russell fall in love. And like all of that. Like I am so here for the Matthew Rhys renaissance that we're getting.

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_09] Um, so yeah, I will watch Daryl after I finished The Beast in Me.

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_03] I'm going to watch Daryl Dixon as well, especially because this is the last season that's getting ready to premiere. So might as well watch it now so that this way I can maybe wrap up the season with everybody else. Well, and I'm so serious with everybody else.

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_09] And I'm so excited knowing that they get to end the story knowing it's the end and build around that for an entire season. They get to build around the idea that we're not coming back in this standalone version. So let's finish what we set out to start. It's not going to be meandering. It's not going to be bullshit. Like it's a good, tight four seasons. I'm in. I am. I am committing to those four.

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_03] What if, because we know at some point by the end of this, by the end of the series, Daryl's probably going to end up having to come home.

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_09] I would have to hope. And Maggie, or not Maggie, Carol, if she's still alive.

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_03] Carol, what if the last scene of Daryl Dixon is a Statue of Liberty in the distance?

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_09] I feel like we've talked about this before. I feel like we've alluded to this. And if that's the case, man, do you wait to announce season four of Dead City? But here's the thing. If you show Daryl and Carol showing up in New York City, then season four of Dead City has to be about Daryl and Carol coming into New York City, most likely. Or else fans are going to be pissed.

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_03] Well, here's the thing. Maybe they are going to wait to announce a season four of Dead City until Daryl Dixon wraps up because that is what they're going to tease.

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_09] And if that's the case, like, fuck yeah, let's go. That would be amazing. I am so in for that being where we're headed. And man, like, we usually don't get nice things. It'd be really nice to get that.

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. And there's and there's nothing that even says that Norman and Melissa have to join the cast of Dead City. It could literally be one or two episodes of them coming into New York City, reuniting and then riding off into the distance.

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_09] Yes.

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_03] You know, riding off to do their own thing. But to bring them into Dead City for an episode or two leading out of Daryl Dixon would be amazing.

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_09] It really would. It really would. Or even if somehow the last like two episodes of Daryl Dixon are them in New York and like trying to I don't know. I don't know. But I'm excited to see what happens.

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, we'll see. We'll see how it goes.

Again, G have not read your feedback and what it's about to say, but like you really opened my eyes to the detriment of the Croat and the Dama story. And like I love it, but I can definitely see what you're saying with how it took away from the overall story we got with the main characters we were introduced to. But I'm really excited to see what you have to say.

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_09] So this is from G Johnson. G Johnson. One of the two. Overall, I'd say the season was like a B minus. The finale was entertaining. Dillard with his Maggie, Maggie, Maggie nonsense sounded like he was auditioning for a Fear the Walking Dead reunion show. I'm still annoyed by Herschel, but they've done a good job of rewriting him into a quality character, which is totally surprising. The callback stabbing must have been the whole reason they shot that lame episode one. All in all, I think that's a good call.

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_09] All in all, I think it could set up well for farthering the TWD universe. I get that it's dead city, but I think Maggie, Negan, Herschel on the road would be a more interesting story. Then again, that's kind of what Daryl Takes Europe is, and I didn't like much of that. Hopefully if this show gets another season, they won't waste half of it trying to refurbish old villains or in fantasy land. P.S. I'd really love to see a show set in the universe with totally new characters in a cold weather setting.

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_09] I would like that as well for the White Lotus. Give me White Lotus Colorado. No. I hear exactly what you're saying, G, and I'm really proud of myself. You wrote farthering, and I didn't say farting because I could see it coming up, and I really needed to pronounce it well. So I was excited there.

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_09] Nice. I love that. I appreciate your reference of the callback stabbing. I kept forgetting to mention that, but yes, I did find that hilarious that Negan finally got to stab Maggie when Maggie keeps stabbing Negan at the end in all the season finale. Someone's getting stabbed between these two. Yeah.

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. But I will say, too, at the same time, again, we talked about this a little bit last week when we talked about the finale and we broke down the finale. I don't necessarily believe that we wasted half this season. No. And G has said that multiple. And G or Guy, I apologize. I've never known.

[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_09] I've never known, buddy.

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_03] And we've never asked either, which is our fault.

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_09] We have never asked. That's true. I think that we have I think we've probably gone 50 50 on how we've done it. So really hedging our bets. Yeah. I've said G and I've said Guy all season.

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. So, I mean, like, it's again, I know it's a point he's made multiple times that we've wasted time using like talking about the Dama and the Croat and the fantasy land, as he calls it. But again, I don't I don't believe that now. I think everything that we got this season was essential to telling this story.

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_09] I couldn't agree more. I could not agree more.

Initially, when Negan stabbed Maggie, I thought they had faked it to make Dillard believe he stabbed her. So it was a bit surprised he went through with it. It's sad that we lose Dillard now as he was a fascinating character. But I'm sure they have plans for even better. For all the talk of Fear the Walking Dead, I stopped watching that mid season too.

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_03] Well, before we did. When it changed TV channels over here. Oh, I didn't realize it changed. But all reliable sources say it went very bad very quickly. Yes. Are there any surviving characters that could be pulled into a future The Walking Dead project where they bring together characters from across the main story and spinoffs?

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_09] Morgan. Still alive. He cannot die. Ezekiel. Aaron. Yeah, no. But I was thinking from Fear was the question that Matt was asking.

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_03] Well, but Morgan also came from The Walking Dead first. Correct. He was the original crossover character.

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_09] And I believe Austin Emilio's character helped me out. Yes. Dwight. Dwight's still alive too, right? Dwight and Sherry.

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_03] I believe. And Dwight was also a crossover character.

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah, yeah, yeah. But as far as actual Fear character, I don't know who's is. Coleman Domingo's dead, right? His character? Probably.

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_03] I don't know because I believe his fate had not been resolved by the time I stopped watching.

[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_09] Remember, I didn't finish. Oh, for sure. No, that's what she said. No, I know that. But I believe that he was in like the last season as a renewed big bad, perhaps.

[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_03] Uh, we had a good time. There was a background Alexandria cast member and the key costume, um, Ager Dyer. I don't know what that is, if that's their name, uh, on the panel with us sharing some fun stories. Also, I wanted to report back that everyone who was caught up with Dead City is really enjoying what they are doing now too. We're getting that from Dragon Con. That's awesome. Man. As for that episode, I'll keep it short.

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_03] I knew it could go either way if Dillard lost one of his walkers, but it was farther off the deep end than I never expected. I can't believe he took out Renata. Dang, I really liked Negan and Maggie having confidants and friends. Now for the finale. Wow, Dillard took it to the extreme. That was brutal to make Louise watch as he is basically mutilating his sister's body.

[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_03] But I have a hard time believing that Dillard has a cult that follows everything he's saying and doing in such a short amount of time. On a lighter note, I loved the callback to the fortune teller when Maggie tells Negan that they are forever connected, all the while being true to her feelings about it. Then him accepting it made it a really sweet scene. With a few hiccups, their plan works. It works out for everyone involved. Even Dillard got to be with his friends. That's a good way to look at it.

[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_03] Outside of Maggie and Negan, Herschel and Louise were the MVPs coming in clutch for them all season long. This series could nicely end like this, but I'm always happy for more. Till next time, fingers crossed, y'all take care.

[00:28:50] [SPEAKER_09] I really thought it would be Louise that didn't survive and Renata that did. But I thought that was a real bold choice to take Renata out. Because it also made it really easy for Maggie to be in charge. No hard feelings.

[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_09] Probably. And it showed Maggie like, you know what? I do need to be in charge or else this never would have happened. If Maggie were in charge, Renata would be alive.

[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah, I'll kick it over to you. All right. This email comes to us from Jason Hogan. Hi, guys. Excellent show for season three, episode eight. Some great observations on your part. I especially loved where you guys connected Glenn's first kill to Herschel's. Thanks, man. One thing I think a lot of people were missing was almost a non-event, but pretty impactful to the conversation taking place at the moment. When Negan and Maggie argue in the alley about whether he should turn himself in, a walker briefly pauses their argument.

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_09] They both seem surprised. Maggie dealt with it and they continued. It's important to keep in mind that the main focus of danger for this entire episode was Dillard and his people, not the walkers. To insert that walker at that time, emerging in that manner was very deliberate. I don't believe it's a coincidence that the walker emerged from under a dumpster, just like Glenn did back in season six. At that time, Glenn was thought to be possibly dead after the end of the previous episode.

[00:33:42] [SPEAKER_09] But in the next episode, he miraculously crawled out from under a dumpster and his fate was finally known by the audience. It was a big moment for the series. In the current episode, a walker reaches out and grabs Negan by the leg. Maggie says, God damn it, and stabs it in the brain. Additionally, two other walkers appear and Negan gets to use his classic Negan bat skills, resulting in one being bashed in the top of the head, just like Glenn. I think the meaning of this imagery is important in our conversation.

[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_09] When Maggie knifes the dumpster walker in their brain while they discuss what is and isn't important, that's a very quiet cue to the audience that while Glenn is important to her, she is putting Glenn in the past and moving forward with what she has now. This was hinted at earlier in the episode when she lost the ring. She was being shown that she has to consider letting go at some point and can't keep holding on to the past as tightly as before. It was just a preview as she eventually got the ring back, but it forced her to consider that nothing is permanent and sometimes you have to work with what you have.

[00:34:38] [SPEAKER_09] Negan's part in killing the walker shows that he still has his batting skills, even if he isn't using them. Anyhow, maybe I'm overthinking it, but that is how I read that scene. Overall, great episode and loved your coverage of it. My prediction for next season is a time jump, but not as far out as a year, as was suggested. I believe it may be one or two months, maybe three. Great. This would keep the story fresh and allow us to see what Maggie has in store for Negan as it's happening or by the direct consequences.

[00:36:11] [SPEAKER_09] And listen, Jason, if I'm going to go all the way into next year and, you know, recognize that Glenn's first kill and Herschel's first kill are in the same manner, that's overthinking it too. So if I'm overthinking, buddy, you're overthinking it. We're all in this together. And I loved it. I loved it. But no, some really, really good points there.

[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_09] And I really liked a lot of what Jason was kind of bringing into just talking about the whole story overall and how there's a lot of symbolism throughout all of these episodes. And that's something I think that was really good this year and this season with everything was the just absolute abundance of symbolism.

[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, I agree with you completely. But that leads us now into voicemails in which we have three this week. One of them is not a 45 minute long message from Megan.

But I feel like it was an Easter egg. The waiter's name in the restaurant when Negan and Maggie were in the restaurant was Simon, which I thought was kind of like a coincidence. You eat like it's your last day on earth. That was another Simon thing.

[00:45:22] [SPEAKER_15] Uh. The fact that, I don't know if you got this yesterday, but if, the fact that they made Dillard a cop makes me feel like Dillard is Negan's Rick. Like how you guys were saying he's best friends with Dillard, right? Like that's, that's the only friend, actual friend we've seen Negan have. Absolutely. And that was like Rick Grimes just in a different form.

[00:45:50] [SPEAKER_15] Like it was very coincidental that they made Dillard a cop and Rick Grimes was a cop. And then this last episode, you know, the last one, it was pretty fucking good. Um. And then Hershel was cracking jokes with the same man.

That shit was so far-fetched to me. Well, but actually, they did go to brunch. You know what I'm saying? Like, what in the hell? Like, it's just insane. And Maggie, she's like, besides my son, you're the closest thing to family that I have. Girl, please.

And I just have a whole, a hard time with this Maggie and Negan mess. And now that I'm older, when I'm watching this show, I'm watching it through a different lens.

[00:58:40] [SPEAKER_11] I'm seeing things in the real world that remind me of what happens when people willingly or unwillingly follow dictators and surrender their choices to somebody else. You know what I'm saying? And when I look at Negan, that part of his character just, you know, that just hits me differently now. And I give Maggie credit for trying to move on. I do. But it just angers me that she just, I'm not even going to say Maggie. Maybe it's the writers. Like, what are y'all trying to do here? Because the shit is for a fetch.

We're rooting for him and Maggie, um, going above and beyond to find her ring, teaching Herschel about, you know, about the medical field. Yeah. Like he's such a great addition to this story.

[01:06:11] [SPEAKER_09] And he's, he's someone that's been taught as tortured as Maggie. He has gone through the same level of loss that Maggie has. And like what he's had to literally stand there and witness and watch. He watched his sister get shot. And then he watched her get tamed into Walker bait. Like, damn. Yeah.

[01:06:28] [SPEAKER_03] If we're talking acting wise,

[01:06:30] [SPEAKER_09] I think let's go acting. Who is your acting MVP this season?

[01:06:35] [SPEAKER_03] So I think, I mean, JDM is up there because we've seen some of the best acting we've seen for him as Negan come out of this season.

[01:06:43] [SPEAKER_03] especially the what if episode, but I know the character turned out to be the big bad man, but Jimmy Simpson,

[01:06:52] [SPEAKER_09] Jimmy Simpson for MVP. I really liked that. Yeah. I really liked that call. He, he did an amazing job playing that character again, because the, the entire crux of that character to me is summed up in the, man, it's the craziest thing. I don't want to kill you. And I believed that. Like, maybe I am crazy that level of awareness and just, it was another level. And only,

[01:07:19] [SPEAKER_09] only someone like Jimmy Simpson can pull that off.

[01:07:23] [SPEAKER_03] That character was directly in his wheelhouse.

[01:07:29] [SPEAKER_03] Like we said, we don't know. We can't think of anybody else who could have played that part better.

So taking out Louise and Dillard, since we've used them for MVP, who's your rookie of the year. And I will allow Herschel to be added to this mix, but who's your rookie of the year.

[01:08:44] [SPEAKER_03] Favorite episode. Oh, um, Oh man, that's a tough call. You know what? I'm going to give it to the finale because the finale was really good.

What if I love a good standalone, but it told us so much about the characters. my runner up would probably be that first hospital episode with the two warring factions that came in. Cause that's when, and you know, the Dama was done and the Croat was done. And that's when it really felt like, Oh shit, this is starting now. Like this is good stuff. Now. That's when it felt like walking dead again. Yeah. I'll give it that. All right.

[01:09:26] [SPEAKER_09] One last question for you going into maybe a season four. We're both pretty confident. It's going to get season forward, but we'll see. Yeah. What is the biggest loose end that you would like to see addressed next time out?

[01:09:44] [SPEAKER_09] Um, I'm going to Annie and Joshua. I think it's time to bring them back into the fold somehow. They didn't just, I don't think you drop that in the, what if, if it's not supposed to be more meaningful, I adored Annie. I thought she was great for Negan. I like Joshua. And I think you got to bring them back into the picture.

Bringing it up in the, what if, like you mentioned really does set a precedent that like, why would they have mentioned them if they didn't just the same way that Maggie and Negan are connected, that they shared this life in the, what if the fact that Negan also shared that, that what if life with Annie and Joshua. Negan still had Joshua.

[01:10:23] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. They're just as important in his, in his life as Maggie is. Yes. And I just,

[01:10:28] [SPEAKER_09] and I just, I want them back. And again, I freaking loved Annie. I thought her energy and the way that she could give it and get, and like, get the shit with Negan was just so freaking powerful.

I want to see, I want to see, I want to see a, a tie up of what kind of relationship there is between the two of them. Are they, are they like on terms where they can trade with each other? Are they on? Like, are they allies? Are they still against one another? Like, does the Commonwealth still want to come in because they have power? Like, I, I want, I want some clarification.

[01:11:07] [SPEAKER_09] I love that. That's a fantastic call. Yeah. All right. Nice. We did it. We got through it. We sure did.

[01:11:15] [SPEAKER_03] And I mean, so, you know, we talked a lot about it last week, but we did talk about what we, what our thoughts for the future of the series are. And I know Colin kind of mentioned it a little bit too. Like I, or no, it wasn't Colin. It was Jason. Apologies. Um, I think we're going to get, if there's a season four, I think we're going to get a little bit of a time jump.

[01:11:35] [SPEAKER_09] Yep. Uh, it only makes sense. You got to get past the immediate reaction of everything that just happened and move on and just reestablish the day to day. So that when you bring in whatever the thing is, it mucks it up.

[01:11:48] [SPEAKER_03] Well, not only that, but you have to imagine that the number of time jumps that we got this season alone, like it was, we got eight weeks of episodes, but it wasn't eight weeks of time. It was definitely a couple months had passed.

[01:12:01] [SPEAKER_09] Oh my gosh. Yeah. Yeah. Just because of the, the tilling and the gardening of central park and all that, but,

[01:12:06] [SPEAKER_03] and the, and the survivors that had come over from New Jersey. For sure. Like there, they were definitely a couple there. They was definitely that season took place over a couple of months.

[01:12:17] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. I agree with that. Um, I would like to see this version of the show. Uh, to all my friends out there that have watched the wire, unlike Ben, um, I'd like, I'd like it to kind of mirror in, I think it was season four when the towers came down and you had to start expanding to the street game. And what was like for the barks or season three, for the barksdale crew to talk to the other crews about like, here's why you want to partner with us. Here's why it's beneficial and what that looks like.

[01:12:47] [SPEAKER_09] And they could do that with the other boroughs in New York. I'd like to see expansion and more, um, society to society clashes, interactions, engagements, because as Negan said in the beginning of the season, if you want to save a lot of people, you need to kill a shitload of people. And so far, like there's, there's a decent number of dead people that's happened. So I'd love to see them expand and, and try to bring back more of the boroughs.

[01:13:14] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. I'm very curious how they're going to handle that because they definitely teased us with that. And there are other boroughs out there. So, you know, are we going to get a borough with season? Are they going to try and bring all the boroughs together at one time? Like, how are they going to do it? And I'm very curious for them to explore that.

Why is it? We have a team that leads the league in multiple things, including home runs with the fucking beast. Kyle Schwarber, but we're not a better fucking team.

[01:22:24] [SPEAKER_09] So here's the thing. We haven't clicked on, on all cylinders much this season. There have been moments where we have, that's why we're still in this playoff race, but a lot of our core players have gotten old and they weren't that great to begin with. Trey Turner is a whole lot of bullshit hits that don't actually matter. Kyle Schwarber is a God, but he strikes out a whole lot. He's probably going to set the major league record for strikeouts in a single season this season. So while he's going to have 50 home runs, he strikes out a bunch Harper easily.

[01:22:54] [SPEAKER_09] I don't care what Dombrowski says, but then the rest of the guys, Danny says it all the time. The entire like four through nine is a whole bunch of eight hole hitters. Like we don't have a consistent team of adults. We don't have great management. Like it is a very overpaid old team. And if they make it past the NLDS, I will be truly shocked, but Hey, it's baseball. Weird as shit has happened. They can get hot for a month, just like anybody else and end up partying down Broad Street. So that's why we watch the games, right?
